HSBC — Deductions Not Notified or Aware of

I am a British Citizen of Indian Origin. I have Savings Bank accounts at HSBC, Gariahat Branch and in the UK. I went to the Gariahat Branch to deposit money. They had deducted a huge amount in INR (1% of the deposit + Rs 112) on the ground of recent RBI rules. I was not told of this even before depositing the amount nor made aware of it at any time before. I like to register a strong protest if it's a recent rule. I shall not send any money to India or HSBC in India if it is not discontinued forthright. I shall circulate this to NRIs & PIOs around the world unless this discriminatory rule is abolished outright.

I am putting a copy of this note to the Banking Ombudsman, RBI and to FINMIN, New Delhi for immediate action or I must get into the act, through my solicitors.

    But still Im getting name in Cibil & showing 56000/- outstanding. I tried to call HSBC customer care for asking details but in HSBC there is no Data of my Card. I request HSBC to Remove my name from Cibil. My Card Details [protected].

    Credit Card — Name listed in CIBIL after full & final settlement

    I was having a credit card account with HDFC 3 years before.
    I had withdraw money for my friends need, My friend has told me that he will pay the same to HDFC. but he didn't pay, when I came to know that my outstanding is still pending then I have done full & final settlement with HDFC bank, Help desk executive has committed me that my card will be activated within 6 months but still they have not activated my card & not giving the receipt of my full & final settlement. Also HDFC has sent my name in Cibil. Now I have applied for Home Loan but unable get it because of same. Please help me for this issue.
    i settled my credit card with hdfc after full final payment through an executive who did not turn up with noc.i have all the receipts with me to prove it. it's refelecting in the cibil report whenever i apply for loans.i have applied for car loan many times but no agency or bank does the proper verification and their language is more rude than expectations.due to this the consumer has to suffer kindly look into the matter.

      EMI problem
      Dear Sir,

      we are getting every month statement and paying regular on time but still my account is showing due of Rs.3718.43 , which is wrong . So many times i called to Customer Care Deptt.regarding our EMI matter but they didn't short out. Matter is, I make a transaction of Rs.32640/- in month of July '2010 and give request for 6 EMI. When,first time i called to Customer Care Deptt.give a request for 12 months EMI but due to excess interest , again i called them and request for 6 EMI but they didn't update.Now, they calling every day more than 10-12 times for recovery of Rs.3718.43. For your kind information , you may see month wise due and payment detail:-

        Hi,
        I had a HSBC credit card. on June 23rd i got mail + call from HSBC that they are closing my credit card account because of some company policies.
        After that at month end i got Card statement with annual fee for this year.
        When i called customer care and asked about it he said he is reverting charged amount.
        But this month i got new credit card statement with annual fee + late payment charges !
        Now when i again called customer cars he said your charges are already reverted but statement was generated before that.
        But hen i asked for a mail for confirmation. He said he can’t do that.

        Every time they saying my account is closed but still why i am getting credit card statement with some amount due?
        Also the last statement (one which got after account closed) was sent to me by POST and not via e-mail! (All statements were sent by e-mail before)

          I am a customer of HSBC credit card i used the card for 1 year very but from second year they charge me for anuaal fee when i called them a told them that when i get a card ur executive told that card is life time free no anuaall charges.i accepted the card but now they are forcing annual charges on me.
          We i called customer care they told me they will be waived off.

            I have been asked to remit Rs. 12501 into one of the Customs a/c to clear the consignment from UK to be delivered after removing the same from the Customs Clearance of HSBC London. I also enquired in the local HSBC Bank and they informed me that do not entertain such mails and calls which is of a 419 category of fraud funds

              I would like to brought to your kind notice that I used a Credit Card of HSBC Bank since 2008 without any yearly cherge and I was not defaulter at any time within my used period. In 2012 the Bank send me a message to close my card and destroied due to non-use of card for long time. Also they have confirmed that I have no dues on that date. After that they have again send me a bill for payment of yearly cherges. I have replied to stop this practice.               HSBC India - The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Services, HSBC Credit Card — HSBC Credit Card Frauds

              HSBC India harass people unnecessary even when the fault lies at their own end.

              I was holding a card of HSBC ([protected])and asked for a balance transfer about one and half years ago. The DD they sent me didn’t reach me. I called up HSBC and also informed them through my online account about the situation.

              Even though I informed that I didn’t receive the DD, The HSBC India people started sending me bills from the next month. Now the situation is that the amount has been increased to 32000 adding late fees and finance charges.

              When I contact them they ask me to fill indemnity bond. Why shall I fill anything when they are at fault. It is their DD and they must know that it has not been used, so why cant they cancel that.

              They are calling me for payment everyday; the payment which is practically I haven’t used.

              I would request to all to think twice before using HSBC card and services.

              HSBC Credit Card — notice from the bank

              I owned he HSBC credit card until aug-sep 2003 after which I had lost teh card. I had called teh customer care to stop the card operations, vis a vis I was confirmed that the same has been done. I did not receive any communication from teh bank in any regard. After Nov 2003 I left my job and hence I am not aware of any communication done thereafter. After 6 years teh bank claims payment with escalated interest of he payment not done. I presume the card must have been misused, and I had not lodged teh complaint withe relief that I was confirmed teh card operation being locked. I am unable to understand why did the bank not revert to me immediately take so long to revert.
              I want to closed this chepter wiyhout further deley.

                Hi,

                I had taken a HSBC credit card ([protected]) in 2006. I had made payments on the card, and had finally cancelled the card in 2008 by paying the outstanding amount.

                In my CIBIL report, the details against this card is showing a delay payment on 700+ days which is not true.

                Request you to please look into this and do the needful to reflect the correct details in CIBIL.

                I too had faced the same problem.
                I was charged with Rs.2200 outstanding which was actually got inflated from Rs300 to Rs.2200 (Rs .300 was for Annual Card fee).
                I wrote to HSBC India Nodal officer and ask him to revert back all charges and otherwise threaten them to take to RBI Obdusman.
                And to my surprise after 9 days I received the mail from them mentioning they have WAIVED OFF my charges as Service Guesture.
                I was happy and surprised.Immediately after this I cancelled the Credit Card and took the oath not to use credit card of any bank in my life.

                Request to all people:
                If you have any problem, dont complain to Call Center.
                Email your problem to HSBC India Nodal Office (You can get the email id from hsbc.co.in site)
                Mention your problem, in reply you will get the reference number.
                If they dont listen mark the mail to RBI Obdusman as well.
                Teach them a good listem.
                Remember email is treated as a LEGAL document. So be care full not mention dont write abusive words.

                  This is to inform you that i had hired an edc machine from The reputed bank HSBC , in the month of may 12 with an assurance of 1.6% and 18000 as edc charges as service charge but later got to know that other bank are giving the same service at 1.3 to 1.4 and 12000 as edc charges so when i called The HSBC executive Mr.Ganesh -[protected] he came to y office and spoke to his seniors and told that he will take back the machine and cancel the machine and refund the amount , but after taking the machine after 2 days when i did not get any response , he tell me that it cannot happen as it has been agreed for one year contract , know this is pure cheating what the bank or the executive is doing , when called him again they are not responding to my call , please do let me know what i have to do..

                    I have taken loan from HSBC some 4 years ago .

                    I have paid regularly to HSBC bank , as of now only two EMI"S are remaining and amount is INR 3600.

                    Then too A girl named SARIKA is continue calling me on mobile , and landline of my home and talking in very very bad manner.

                    I have told her that after some time I will pay this amount , Being a genuine customer I have paid total amounr of INR 85000/- , just INR 3600 is remaining , then too she is calling minutes by minutes .

                    She is calling on my home on landline and talking very bad to all my family members, being a girl she is talking in very rude way.

                    Kindly instruct HSBC to stop calling me and give me some time for repayment, OR as I have paid very huge amount to HSBC , If possible kindly do needful for waive off of remaining amount and instruct HSBC to give me NOC on this loan matter.

                      i have been following up with hsbc for closure of the loan account subject to hsbc providing me the details of loan accoule to forents from inception till date . however till date the data has not been received they sent me some data which did not reflect the lumsum payments made by me and forwarded me the foreclosure letter with out adjusting these lumpsum amount paid by me till date they have not provided the details as a result i have not been able to foreclose both the smart home loan and the top up loan account.I have recorded conversations tha i had with three of the relationship managers who admitted that majority of them do not understand the calculations and the ones who new are no longer in the organization. one of them also admitted that it is very difficult to get the calculations from their back end team on the basis of request recd from customers. i need compensation fo last two years for unecessary delaying and not providing me the calculations . last week i requested the calculations for closure of the top up amount and requested for the calculations since inception till date. however the person visited me without the data and gor the foreclosure letter inspite of insisting for the calculation before the foreclosure. i have all the email communications for last two years and even their nodal team refuses to share the data of emi charged month on month towards proncipal and interest and rate of interest month on month and the payments made by me till date. they say that their system does not have these data. i have a home loan from IDBI bank and they are transperant in providing me the yearly statement as per my requirement

                      if no action is taken by HSBC i will have to share all the details with recorded communications to the concerned authorities

                          With utter dismay I would like to inform you the following, which displays the kind of services HSBC is providing :

                          I am your credit card customer( Card No: [protected])

                          Due to some unavoidable circumstances I am no more using your service since 3-4 years. However recently bank send me the statement with outstanding dues more than 40K. I assured you that I have paid all the charges/expenses well before and nothing should be pending for me.

                          I have the proofs such as Canara Bank, Pune cheque (No 16470 and amount = INR 2998.00) dated 29th Apr 2007 issued to pay the credit card bill and May 2010 credit card statement. As per my personal records, I haven't used the card after that. However recently I received the bank statements with outstanding dues.

                          It is surprising to know, I was charged a late fee for not paying my due amount within the specified time even after paying all the dues.In spite of paying all the charges/expenses on time if I am put in such case, I would like to discontinue the service.

                          Dear staff, grateful if you could guide me whom to contact in such case and how to get such historical transaction details from the bank.

                          Kindly arrange to solve my problem immediately and save me from further embarrassment please.

                            My HSBC Credit Card is more than 4 year old. The card was issued waiving the Annual Fee for life time. Even last the card was renewed with the same terms. But now they have suddenly charged Annual fee of 2000 plus 500 for additional card without prior approval from me (customer). This is cheating, if I don;t very and pay or give ECS mandate to my bank for making the card payment. Then I wouldn;t realise and HSBC silently get the annual fee. I take this as a cheating, since they have no regard for loyalty of the customer with absolute clean record.

                            Hence I suggest everybody to be aware about incident. I would also recommend people to surrender their HSBC Credit Card considering my bad experiance.

                              My intial interest rate was 8% and in 5 years they have increased to 15.5% . And. When I asked for reduction rate of interest in bank they took a letter and they said some one will call me back and resolve it in 5 business days which didn't happen but a person by name Chirag called me from hyderbad and he said he is working on rate reduction and will get back to me. He got me after few days and told methe rate of 13.75 which was not accepted by me and I told him am not happy and there is no response after that . I wrote a mail to nodal officer on 15 th June on the same subject and got a automated reply saying they will attend the complaint in 10 days and after several reminders I got a reply saying we have verified the details of your account credit card account interst rate details are changed as follow and this is what irritated me where my account is home loan and they are talking about a credit card which I don't hold with HSBC . And I asked for rate reduction and they have mentioned dates of interest rate change which we can see mere negligence on the customer.
                              When I replied back again they have diverted to same person Chirag who again called me and tok time to discuss and get the issue resolved and he called me today and he is talking something non sense instead of reducing the rate. Please help me to resolve the issue with this bank.

                              After complaint on the website and to nodal officer they started calling me to discuss on the interest rate but of no use, they are asking to deposit 0.5 % of my principal amount upfront to reduce the interest rate which I am not agreeing from the beginning, there is no change in the attitude of customer service rep, they are ok we going to consumer forum or what ever may be. They want money first but not the action from their side. Also when I said I will take my lawyer to the bank they are asking not to do so and they will resolve the issue but nothing happened except that they want the money. May be I have to seriously consider going to consumer forum lawyer as they are wasting my time and mental peace as well.

                                Dear sir my self sandeep khatri and i have a hsbc credit card i used this card last month for 17000 in sargam electronics Narela,thereafter i did make a call to hsbc customer care for making installment of 17000 used but the authorised person at hsbc call centre said that we r unable to make installment of amount that us used by u bcs i have a credit limit in my card is 17000 and hsbc`s calll centre person said that there is no any facility in ur card to mke installment, then i said ok, and then one day a i had a call frm hsbc bank credit card department that ur card had over limit u have to make a deposit 5765 in our credit card ur card limit has reduced to 12000 other wise u willbe charged for overlimt, I want to ask that jab mere credit card ki limit 12000 hai n maine 17000 use kiye hai to main 5765 kyon bharooo and there is no any email, phone, massage regarding credit card reduced limit. so plz solve my issue as soon as possible.I will make my all payment in time.

                                I Manoj sharma have carry a HSBC credit card at time of issue this card bank executive said that it is life time free and no annual charges in life. but after three years my bank statement show that your outstanding is 700 rs/ annual charges now its shows its 38000 outstanding on my card.whenever my uses of card was 6500/ only. i want to satellment with bank but only give my actual uses only no interest no annual charges.

                                  I did settlement with hsbc bank for my personal loan, Still my name is coming in cibil report. This is not good. It's not way of work. They remove my name from cibil. they are asking more money from me to remove my name from cibil. Where our country is going i don't know, One all will die by hunger because of this kind of corruptions. I[censored] think i am right then do something for me, otherwise i will think that consumer court is also a partner with this bankers in all this corruptions.

                                    50 Blunders by HSBC Bank in Home loan a/c No[protected]. Breach of TRUST. Mental tortures & Harassments by HSBC Bank.

                                    I have availed a loan of Rs-1961929/- from HSBC Bank in 2005. In 2008, I came to know from bank's issued statements that bank is manipulating my a/c statements/calculations since 2005.Till date, I have received more than more than 100 incorrect & manipulated statements which I have forwarded to bank for their reply but despite my more than 300 emails/letters to bank's every top ranked officer including CEO , I have not received any correct explanations from bank . Instead bank is still issuing me fake & incorrect statements. bank’s issued last incorrect statement is dated[protected] which is reflecting diff. of Nine Emi’s.
                                    Sir, I would like to inform you that instead of rectifying its mistakes & resolving my issues, Bank's Nodal officer is asking me to ignore bank's issued more than 80 a incorrect statements & bank’s blunders in my a/c.Till date, I have made Complaint at RBI & finance minister office not once but 4-5 times. RBI has also fired HSBC officer for bank's unfair trade practices etc.
                                    kindly refer Some of my complaints:-----
                                    (1) Instead of bank's issued one loan amount of Rs-1961929/- ,bank's issued statements are reflecting 5 more non issued loan amounts totalling more than Ninety lacs.
                                    (2) Two non issued loan amounts added in my principal amount. Loan tenure also increased by 13 instalments.
                                    (3) Bank's issued same day's 4 statements are reflecting 4 contradictory loan tenure calc results.i.e. 180,263, 274 & 303 .There is diff. of more than 100 instalments in same day's statements.Diff. of 100 * 20000 =20 Lacs-
                                    (4)HSBC Bank's issued Nine statements are reflecting nine contradictory balance loan tenure calc results despite calc on same amount of Rs.1829622/- at same r.o.i. 12.5%.
                                    (5)HSBC bank's issued amort sch.st.dt. 10/11/2009 & 14/11/2009 & bank's statement dt.[protected] reflecting balance loan tenure as 254,255 & 253 months resp despite calc on same amount of Rs-1829622/- at 12.5%
                                    (6)HSBC bank's issued amort sch.st.dt. 4/6/2010 & 12/6/2009 reflecting balance loan tenure as 251 & 252 months resp despite calc on same amount of Rs-1826959/- at 12.5% .There is diff. of One Emi . There is loan due date diff. of 13 months
                                    (7)HSBC bank's issued amort sch.st.dt. 23/6/2010 ,Nodal officer's certified Amort schedule dt. 8/7/2009 & bank's statement dt.[protected] reflecting 2 contradictory balance loan tenure calc.results ,three contradictory loan due date calc results despite calc on same amount of Rs-1825800/- at 12.5%There is diff. of One Emi.. There is loan due date diff. of 13 months
                                    .
                                    (8)HSBC bank's issued amort sch.st.dt. 15/9/2011 & 16/5/2012 & bank's statement dt.[protected] & bank's stat.dt.[protected] Aare reflecting 2 contradictory balance loan tenure calc.results ,three contradictory loan due date calc results despite calc on same amount of Rs-1825800/- at 12.5%.There is diff. of NINE Emi's. There is loan due date diff. of 36 months
                                    (9)HSBC Bank's issued Eight interest paid certificates, issued for same financial year[protected] are reflecting 5 contradictory interest paid amounts.
                                    (10) Bank's issued SIX interest paid certificates, issued for same financial year[protected] are reflecting 4 contradictory interest paid amounts.
                                    (11) 5 contradictory interest calc results on same amount of rs-1829622/- at 12.5%.
                                    (12) Discepancies in bank's Nodal officer 's issued two certified copies of interest paid certf of same financial year[protected].
                                    (13) Discrepancies in calc results in bank's issued statements & bank's excel calc results.
                                    (14) Discrepancies in calc results in Nodal officer's issued certified copies & Chief Nodal officer's issued certified copies .Both are not only contradictory to each other but are contradictory bank's excel calc results.
                                    (15) My payments are not reflecting.
                                    (16) bank's emi calc are wrong & contradictory to bank's own excel calc results.
                                    (17) Bank's loan tenure calc are wrong & contradictory to bank's own excel calc results.
                                    (18) Bank has stopped issuing me statements.
                                    Sir, there are still 40 more such blunders which I have already forwarded to bank. Bank has still not replied the same.
                                    Instead of resolving my issues,bank is harassing me for wrong payments.
                                    This might be the first time in indian banking history that any bank has made such blunders in customer's a/c.
                                    as per RBI banking rules,there should not be a single paise doff. on same calc but as for as my a/c is concerned,there is diff. of more than 100 instalments in same day's statements.i.e. diff. of more than twenty lacs.
                                    I hope,HSBC will reply & resolve my issues immediately.
                                    I request all persons who are harassed by HSBC Bank ,to contact me immediately. We all will take action against HSBC Bank CEO & other officers.

                                    HSBC Bank — To stop collection of EMI

                                    The General Health Insurance taken from TATA AIG Gen Insurance - Mumbai, for a monthly EMI of Rs.329/- got changed to a lower monthly EMI of Rs.130 plus over telephonic discussion which was agreed to by them duringt October 2008. I was even told that the revised EMI letter will will be sent within SEVEN days, which did not come. Surprisingly, instead of receiving Rs.130 Plus, I got Rs.657 that is, Rs.329 x 2 = Rs.657. When contacted again over phone, I was told that to remit the same and the excess will be reimbursed. Subsequently, I paid the amount on[protected]Ref.HSBC Credit Card Statement for the period 19-10-08 to 18-11-08 refers). Subsequently, I have cancelled the General Health Insurance Policy. They even have given the cancellation reference. I received HSBC Bank's Credit Card Statement for the period 19-11-08 to 18-12-08 wherein it has been clearly mentioned that my Net Outstanding Balance as NIL. But to my shock & surpise, Bank's Statement for the period 19-12-08 to[protected] is indicating the Net Outstanding Balance as Rs.329. I would like t to lodge a strong protest and sue them for the harassment. My HSBC Credit Card No. [protected] (I repeat [protected]). Please accept my complaint and get me the justice.
                                    Thro' My HSBC Credit Card No. [protected] the General Health Insurance Policy which I had taken for a monthly EMI of Rs.329 got changed to a lower EMI of Rs.130 Plus during Oct.08 2nd week and the same was accepted & confirmed by the Firm. I was even told that the revised EMI confirmation will reach me within 7 days and the same did not come at all. HSBC Bank instead in its Credit Card Statement for the period 19-10-08 to 18-11-08 sent the amount payable as Rs.657 (that is Rs.329 x 2). When contacted them, I was told to remit the statement amount and the excess will be reimbursed later on. However, Bank in its Statement for the period 19-11-08 to 18-12-08 instead of giving the excess amount credit to my account, showed the Net Outstanding Balance as 'NIL'. Now, to my surprise & shock, the Bank again in its statement for the period 19-12-08 to 18-01-09 has shown the Net Outstanding Balance as Rs.329 to be paid within the due date of[protected]. In this context, I wish to state that even the Firm had accepted my cancellation and given me the Cancellation Number also. Now, I want to lodge my strong protest through this complaint and sue the Firm for harassing me unnecessarily. Please take needful action in the matter.

                                      Dear Sir/ Mam,

                                      I have received my HSBC credit card ( [protected]_ in 2007 and which has expired on 2009. after it I have never received new credit card. I have sent email to customer care for same many times and they said that they have sent the credit card but it came back as no one was at home.

                                      Where as I have around 4000rs as credit in my credit card.I have got the regular Statement from the bank and every month they deduct some money from the credit payment. In my last statement it was left around 2000rs only.

                                      I do not know why they have deducted it. I have even asked them to transfer the rest of credit payment in my bank account. But they have not done this. I have requested to customer care to send the credit card again so that I can utilize it. But still not received any card from them.

                                      They have my complete house address and detail . I do not know what makes them not to send the credit card again.

                                      I do need that some one will take action against them .
