Address: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

I have been communicating with HSBC since 1 month and every 5th day they mail for another 5 working days to resolve my issue.
Below is my entire data alongwith communication made with HSBC on Mail :
HSBC hav issued 2cards in my name one which i have been using since 2006 & 1 which I hv never used and hv been receiving the statments.
Nw when i went for the Home loan I came to know that they hv givin my name in CIBIL.
I'm surprised when HSBC himself is not confident about my credit hw come my current credit card is working. ANd by their such action I have been in to lot of pressure as I have already paid mybuilder a partial amount...

It is really disgustting, irritating & pathetic for such an MNC bank...

Kindly advice what should I do next to get the loan.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I have been a regular user of your HSBC credit card no. [protected] with annual transaction of nearly 2 to 2.5 lakhs. And have been using since long.

But, I have been reciving calls & statments of Credit card no. [protected] mentioning a long due amount. And this case has been further you have given to CIBIL whereby it has affected my credit in reciving the Home Loan. It was really insulting to know this.

I'm really surprise what kind of Bank it is because when I'm already using one of your credit card how come you guys take such action. If you yourself are not confident on my credit why my current credit card is working since 2006. This seems to be atiierly harashing a customer who has been faithfull to you regular in paying payments & still see such days. It is really pathetic & shameful for banks like HSBC who can't trust or judge the right customers.

Would appreciate to take immediate action on the above & take necessary action to remove my name from CIBIL. Also, would like to cancel all your dues & card for credit card no.[protected], As I'm nowhere associated with this card.

Awaiting for the immediate response..

Listen all,

its a well known fact that due to sub prime crisis in USA and Europe in 2008 till date the two major credit card companies Visa and Master card are facing huge losses. The governments in US and Europe has come up with various regulations to protect their citizens with various schemes which hits these companies.

now since they cannot fight with the governments there they have connived with the banks of India and various emerging countries to hatch a conspiracy which is simple.

Extract too much from each card in name of late fee and panel interest, I have seen instances where an amount of Rs 100 has grown up to 7000 in less than one year. people getting statements of overdue amount despite the fact that card was never received, used or closed long back.

Because the sword of CIBIL is hanging on the heads of common credit consumers here they are forced to pay through nose the exorbitant amount which is in almost all cases cannot be justified under any court of law.

I am sure RBI and finance ministry knows about this but the lobby of bankers are so influential that even though they wish to take any action to amend the rules etc it will take ages.

So, what should be done. here is a small check list.

Don't use credit card
ok fine I know you cannot live without plastic then why not use debit card ?

Close the unused cards - but first call up the customer care to find out the status of the card- then ask them politely to close the card as you don't want to use it-
On the call with retention department of the bank - insist for a case number for the closure.
Send an email as well to the card care of the bank and keep the reply handy.

Use only Credit cards where you have netbanking account - so you can check the state of the card anytime and pay online.

Never drop the cheque in drop box - this is major reason for the things getting complicated always pay online do a visa money transfer if you have an account with any other bank.

Pay cash if you are just near the last date of payment - two major credit cards issuer hdfc and icici bank accept payment on any branch for card. Citi too accept cash but levy small fee of 100rs per transaction as far as my knowledge.

never spend more than you can pay - if you have overspent because of any reason the first thing you need to do is to pay at least 10% of the amount the very next day of bill date so you are saved from the late fee, since you are not paying in full interest is okay and you should pay it.

never go for any offers which you don't understand fully. take your time to understand the offer, do some research about the offers regarding insurance, holiday packages, goodies etc offered on credit cards - never accept that over the phone rather you should call the customer care and ask for the offer.

till the day rbi and finance ministry takes corrective action against these conspiring banks follow these simple steps you would save lot of hassles for yourself and your family

Dear Sir,

Ref:- HSBC Credit card: [protected]

I am holding HSBC credit card which is a life-time free card. Recently my car load application has been rejected due to fact that my CIBIL report is showing defaulter of HSBC credit card payments.

When I took the card in year 2006, HSBC person had told me that it is a lifetime free card. I never used even single rupee using the card. Now I see there is around Rs.5000 as an accumulated late payment penalty. It is a bit concern to me how it happened for free life time gold card.

I am requesting you to please look into the issue and do the needful. I am requesting you to revert the entire penalty amount and cancel my credit card facility. Also inform CIBIL to remove my name in defaulter list.

Thanking you,
Yours Sincerely,

This is with respect to credit card no [protected].
Had stopped transaction with this card long back in 2007 (probably) with zero balance.

Today because of this my name is listed in card black listing for no reasons. Recent statement that i have received says 13458.00 Rs to pay.
I wanted a complete statement of my card from the day i started transacting till date. This will help me in clearing my doubts.

I really upset with HSBC behaviour. I am a middle class person and iam not able to pay such a big amount.

Please look into this and do the needful.

Thanks
Gaurav

I am a victim of similar incident. Don't be in Banks trap, they delay you in complaining and after two years, you won't be in a position to complaint to any one. First thing u do is file a complaint with police cyber investigation cell and get a copy of complaint acknowledged immediately. Then send a letter to bank with acknowledgement regarding this. I am sure they won't leave you from the liability. File a complaint with RBI's Banking Ombudsman. If this also does not help, file a complaint with the consumer readdressal forum - say your card was misused by some one and bank could not protect your rights. You need to file this within 2 years. otherwise your liability will stay and bank can trap you for recovering the money. But don't be afraid.. if you follow the above steps then bank will have to proove that you have spent the money.

THE LOAN SETTLED BY THE HSBC BANK FOR RS. 36,500/= .
I HAVE DEPOSITED THE AMOUNT OF Rs.4960/= (15/2/10) AND Rs.31,540/= (15/3/10) as directed by the Bank Executive Mr. Parvinder Singh Rana on phone.
As the Total amount is being settled in totaling to Rs. 36,500/= and its final.

But the bank people are not treating the amount of Rs.4960/= under the settlement amount and also the amount of Rs. 31,540/= is being taken under prepayment of loan amount and making the settlement letter null and void. The case is not being settled by the Bank and they are putting ECS on monthly basis however i made my account NIL for not being payment of ECS.

I complained regarding this to the nodal officer HSBC, but they are not ready to listen in this regard and taking the amount as pre-payment of loan and not being settling.the case.

However at last i also offer him that i am ready to pay an amount of Rs.4960/= once again but they are not ready to listening and asking for full payment of loan which is SIMPLY HARASSING ME.

I AM BEING HARASSED A LOT THAT'S WHY I AM COMPLAINING YOU.

Please look in to the matter and guide me further. I have all the correspondence details for my complaints.

Sir,

I took a Housing loan of Rs. 7,825,000 from HSBC (Smart Loan) in June-2005 with a loan term of 180 months. As per the loan agreemeent, HSBC was to deduct a predetermined EMI (Equated Monthly Installments) each month and approtion a part of which towards the reducing the Principle Amount and balance towards the interest charges for the loan amount.

However, just after a year or so, HSBC unilaterally changed the terms of my loan and also stopped collecting EMI from my account. HSBC unilaterally started aprotioning 100% of the monthly interest towards interest, thus keeping my principle outstanding unchanged since almost Feb-2007 (may be even earlier).

HSBC also increased the PLR (Prime Lending Rate) unilaterally very high (14.5% PA) and continuously milked interest from me month after month. On several visits to their Bandra branch, i was never given a satisfactory response and was given vague verbal replies. Cumulatively, HSBC bank has collected interest in excess of Rs.27 lacs from me thus far!

On closing the loan prematurely last year, HSBC volunteered to reduce the interest to 9.5% PA last month.

HSBC admitted their error in writing last week and apologized for their "Mistake". I do not agree with their apology and strongly feel that this is an wilfull act of cheating.

Since HSBC unilaterally changed the terms of the loan without even informing me, they tacitly, with malafide intentions, kept the principle loan amount unchanged against the agreement of reduction of principle amount every month. This has resulted in HSBC collecting higher interest charged on artificially inflated principle outstanding amount. Had they reduced the principle loan outstanding amount every month, the intrest charged too would have been a lot lower.

Hence I demand that HSBC returns the excess interets charged and collected from since Feb-2007 to April-2010. In my calculation, this amount would easily be arund 8-10 lacs.

Yours Sincerely,

Guruprasad Bhat

I am led to believe that “HSBC Premium Circle” is a scam created by HSBC Bank Credit Card Unit in collusion with Plat5 Consultancy. I have informed all my friends holding credit cards to be aware of such scam mongers. It is the case of Plat5 that they will promise you thick and thin and at the end, keep you high and dry!
I understand this is a ploy of the HSBC Bank to fraud us by colluding with a private company. Their service is so pathetic. First of all, they function like a company which was set up before computer, internet and telephone was invented. When we can do so many online transactions these days, we can buy online tickets and make online payments by credit cards by telephone or through internet, they insist on their voucher back and then only, they think of processing. Amazingly stupid, is not it? When they can debit your credit card account after a phone call when they want, but they cannot process your request through telephone or online. When we call up their customer care or whatever they call, the number given by them over the vouchers/papers, many times, they do not even pick up the phone though the phone seems like dying because of continuously ringing. In case they pick up, some lady answers you with a rude north Indian monotonous accent and rather than listening to you, she starts offering her standard answers, “No Sir. We are sorry. We cannot do that.” They do not have any sense of India being a diverse country as more often they start talking in Hindi and doing “haa ji, haa ji” when they verify your mobile Number. Most of the time, when they answer in negative, then, you may insist on filing a complaint internally, but they will not even tell what is the process as it seems once the telephone picking agent says no, that is final, binding and authoritative pronouncements. It has been happened many times that one lady picks up the phone and puts on hold for some time, another lady picks up suddenly and asks you, ‘Yes Sir! Please tell your problem’.
To summarize their whole services in short, it is nothing but the most pathetic.

The paltinum5 Premium offer of HSBC Bank Credit card offer is a fraudulent offer. They make so many tall promises when they call you up but when you get to know details, it will be too late as the options are very limited. In fact, regarding hotels and resorts, they say that it is 4 star and 5 star but they are not. For example, recently, I stayed in a Resort called Logoa Azul in Goa on self expense which is one of the resorts selected under this programme of Premium offer. This resort is NOT a 4 star one. Rather, this is not a resort which deserves any star. Similarly, there are many conditions and terms and very stupid policies they have which makes the offer useless most of the time. Like, there are restrictions on utilization offer like some months depending on places are excluded during which you can not utilize your voucher. Another funniest thing for example is you can fly Kolkatta to Hyderabad and from Hyderabad to Kolkatta, but You can not fly Hyderabad to Kolkatta and Kolkatta to Hyderabad on which point I am still fighting with them.

The whole scheme looks like a scam orchestrated by HSBC Bank in connivance with some private company. I am soon lodging a complaint on this with HSBC Bank or its banking ombudsman and if no satisfactory reply is received, I am thinking to complain it to RBI. I am not sure and do not know if there will be anything positive, but I think we must try not to let this scam happen.
I have utilized the benefits from the HSBC Plat5 & the experience was quite different from what is mentioned above...

I was bit surprised when accidentally i landed on to this page & found such long complaints against the bank like HSBC... Who can believe that a bank like HSBC woule be involved in any kind of fraud to mint money out of people.. at least I cannot!!!

Plat5 here is the service provider associated with HSBC & they were efficient enough in the services rendered by them, in the way that i called up their dedicated helpline & was put in a queue on hold.. I was agitated & thought exactly the way others are thinking, that i have been cheated... money would go waste.. its a fraud...blah blah blah!!! Bot to my surprise, I got a callback from them within few hours & the gal who called, was helpful & capable enough to answer all my queries patiently..

I have gone out for holiday with my 2 kids & wife & it was a well organized & wonderful trip offered to me. I am glad that i took the offer & would recommend it to others as well so that they can avail the benefits at much lesser price, what we actually have to pay, if we go in for a holiday at such properties..

Mr. Lyaar may have accidentally received a good service but Plat5 is a scam.

Dear All,
Today, I received an email from Heritage Group/Plat5 Consultancy in relation to my Ticket Bookings. I had already paid Rs. 6055 on 30th January, 2010 by debit of my credit card amount. At that time, I was promised to give a watch worth INR 4000/-, a two nights three days stay in some resorts which I choose from the list and to and fro air ticket to certain destination. At that time, I was not told any extra payments required to be done. However, when I got a reply for ticket booking Hyderabad-Delhi and Delhi-Hyderabad, I was told to email an authorization to Heritage Holidays to bill Rs 5, 640/- ( Rs 5, 640/- towards Airport Tax/Surcharges ) on my HSBC credit card.
I not only got a shock but almost fainted by looking at such a massive fraud.
I have replied them saying that I will not authorize them to debit my credit card account and not to proceed with the ticket booking. I am also contemplating to initiate legal actions against HSBC Bank, and Heritage Group.
I agree with the Complainant. The service is pathetic. The paltinum5 Premium offer of HSBC Bank Credit card offer is a fraudulent offer. They make so many tall promises when they call you up but when you get to know details, it will be too late as the options are very limited. Another irritating aspect is their call center heritage. Most of the time, they do not receive the calls despite phone ringing, and ask in typical Hindi accent and in a very monotonous sound and frequently say 'Haan ji' in Hindi without anything caring about whether the person calling knows Hindi. While customer will be talking in English, they start immediately talking in Hindi, sometimes leaving the customers wondering what she is saying.
Another absolutely disgusting thing about them is that it looks they are shortage of men power or have been crowded with cheap labour in the markets who do not have enough energy to respond calls. Even when phones are ringing, no one picks up the phone and bothers to respond. It happens 9 out of 10 times and this will make a really frustrating experience to you.
We must protest against this corporate scam.
Hi Everyone..

I have been associated with HSBC for quite a long time now. Somebody has rightly said, “Every system has its flaws.”

Most o[censored]s are grumbling about the services not delivered but nobody is ready to take the initiative to praise & write a few lines about the uniqueness of the product & heavy discounts offered through this innovation by the PLAT5 / HSBC (Premium Circle Program).

As I have mentioned above, I have personally availed the benefits through this program & the trip was marvelous. The trip was arranged by heritage holidays & i went with my wife & it was really nice to have a vacation at this stage of life.. I usually don't get time due to the busy schedule but due to this offer I went for 3 days & 2 night vacation on a weekend at Sterling, Munnar.

Just want to thank HSBC/Plat5
I cant believe that reputed bank like HSBC is involved into cheating customers for such a small amount.. I have been a part of the bank for quite a long time & never had any complaints against the bank.

If we have customers obviously we would have complaints too.. But looking at it from other perspective that how any of the above complaints were resolved would definitely suffice a lot from the above.

I have used a lot of programs offered from the bank & am quite satisfied with them.
I recently received a call from HSBC Bank. They offered me premium circle program in association with a firm called PLAT5. It was entirely over a phone call i was suppose to take the decision whether i should go for this offer or not. Initially i was skeptical whether i should go about it or not but then the executive who called me said sir if i am not worn you received all the correspondence & details of your Credit card over a phone call itself... If you can trust at that point of time then why can't now?

I was bit convinced & then he also told me that i can visit the website if i want to & check the details of the offer... I was online so i decided to go through the details. the executive kept detailing me about the offer side by side & cleard every single doubt...I was convinced enough to say yes for the offer so i bought it..

As promised i received the welcome pack in 5 weeks time & got 5 % cash back on my card.. I am happy that i took this offer.. I gifted the watch to my son & he was really happy to receive it.. Am yet to enjoy the rest of the benefits.. Hoping for the best to come on my way..So far I am satisfied & enjoying the benefits..
I have been associated with HSBC bank for almost 10 years now and used to get a lot of offers from the bank time to time.. Its annoying at times to receive so many calls from them specially during noon.. But if they are offering something which is worth the money spent for then we must go for it..

I used to miss those calls or usually ask for a call back, thinking that they are a mere waste of time.. But since i have got the offer of premium circle from them i have started taking calls to listen atleast once what is being offered by the bank this time.. May be i can benefit and save money like i did using premium circle offer.

In this they offered me a holiday package and i decided to go to Manali with my family.. The resort was executive and surrounded with lush green vallies. The children enjoyed to their fullest and who wouldn't be happy to see their children having fun..

Apart from this I also got 5% cash back on my credit card and a fight voucher. There was also a complimentary gift a polo club watch worth Rs 4000.. The offer was a big time money saver and i really thank HSBC PLAT5, the service provider for such a wonderful experience.
PLAT5 consultancy.. Came to know about them through HSBC bank when they offered me premium circle program in association with Plat5.. In this program they offered me a holiday package, flight voucher, 5% cash back, 3 international vouchers & a branded polo watch.. The entire package was being offered for INR 6055 inclusive of service taxes..

Contrary to what is mentioned above..The offer was quite lucrative so I thought I must go for it & surprise my family with the package, as I have 2 kids who were after my life to go for a vacation but I was refusing them due to one or the other reason.. Finally I said yes to the offer & received the WP after 5 weeks during which I planned my trip & completed the pending task so that I can enjoy my holiday & relax..

We went to Mussorie, the Avalon resorts and must say the experience was amazing. The hotel is surrounded with lush green valley & the rooms were exotic.

All together I would like to thank Plat5, heritage holidays & above all HSBC for having tied up with them & offering this program to its esteemed customers & make us feel special.

Address: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Hi, I have applied for a personal loan in Axis bank,
Suddenly My loan process is delayed due to cibil report that mentioned that there is a overdue of Rs.225 on my previous HSBC loan,

It is completely wrong,
I have paid my all EMI without any cheque bounce or delay payment,
There is no overdue of Rs.225.
I have already checked my last 2 years bank statement,
There is no Over Due, I have all the details from both HSBC and ICICI where my Loan EMI deducted,

I have sent a mail to HSBC and Cibil including all the details,
There is no response from Cibil,
I received a response from HSBC,directing me to create a user ID and password in HSBC website in order to provide further informations,
In order to create user id, I should open a savings account,
Why should I open a savings account in order to get my query answered?
If I am not getting any proper response,
I am going to file a complaint in consumer court,

Thanks and Regards,
R.Ranjith Kumar

My HSBC Card Number :[protected], my name is Brijesh Rawal.

The Case :

My name has been forwarded to Credit Information Bureau of India Limited without any prior intimation and going into the details of fruad happned with my card; though HSBC has not responded on the pending issue from last September 2009 (approx 7 months) and i had requested for waving off interest and late payment on my card for only the fruad transation which was transacted on my card by Mr. Yatin Akerkar, a person residing at A-302, Prathmesh Soc, Ayre Road, Tukaram Nagar, Dombivli East, 421201, Dist. Thane.

Further, Mr. Yatin Akerkar has ran away from his house after doing a total fruad of more than Rs. 8,00,000 of 4 person and same was also published in local newspaper, scanned copy of the same was also forwarded to HSBC for ready ref. and i had requested HSBC to go through the details and then wave off the amount not the principal but till date i did not got any reply, i have several reference number and recordings supporting to my queries.

I can also provide any other related references to know the genuiniess of the fruad person, and also HSBC can sent their executive to investigate the matter.

I request HSBC to withdraw my name from CIBL at the earliest as it will affect my personal credit rating and for future applications of loans and credit card as i have not defaulted for any amount, it was a fruad which has happned, for the amount not used by me and i got involved in this matter.
I also request HSBC to lookinto the matter which was not replied to me from the month of September 2009, as till September 2009 my dues was just Rs. 34,000 (approx) and now since i was waiting for HSBC to reply but they didnt the total due has gone till Rs. 49,425, which might not had been if HSBC had supported me in above mentioned fruad case. Kindly accept my request and resovle this matter as frmo last 7 months i am following to HSBC for some favourable support.

I had not logged any police comliant as blank cheque and stamp paper are still with Mr. Yatin Akerkar and he has ran away, and in future he may misuse in any other way hence I have not logged any complaint against hi in Dombivli Police Station. If required I can do the same.

Regards,
Brijesh Rawal.

Recently I used balance transfer facility in HSBC (37,000.00), when I approached for balance transfer they said 0% balance transfer is available with a processing fee (1,200), I paid the fee and opted for it. In my next billing I got financial charges. When I enquired I got a reply back that if I choose balance transfer then my spending will be applicable for an interest until I pay the balance transfer amount. Last month my spending was 20,400, I paid 20,400 by bill date but the bank considered it as for my balance transfer and they charged 1,400 as interest. Still the last month spending is carry forward to this month. As per my understanding if anybody choose the balance transfer for a 3 months period they need to pay the amount within 3 months by paying the nominal fees. But HSBC is indirectly putting charges. Kindly don’t go for HSBC Balance transfer..

HSBC CREDIT CARD – FRAUD AND CHEATING

I was holding a silver credit card of HSBC bank for many years. This card was issued to me stating that it is ‘FREE FOR LIFE’ and there are no joining fee or Annual fee or any other hidden fee at any point of time.

True to that, I was not charged any fees for the past many years UNTIL on 13th April 2010, they charged Rs. 700/- plus service charges towards annual fee plus Rs. 350 plus service charges towards annual fee of one add on card.

I sent an email requesting them to waive off the annual fees to customer care department in their email id [protected]@hsbc.co.in on 14th April and I got a reply mentioning that there is no FREE FOR LIFE credit card and that there was some promotional campaign going on at that time, which is not there currently and I should pay the annual fees as above.

I wrote again saying that I was not informed of any promotional campaign earlier and also I was not informed of closing of any promotional campaign. I requested them to cancel the card immediately. They responded saying I have to pay the annual fee as above and then can take up request for cancellation through different channel, by writing to their office address or talking to phone banking.

I do not intend to make the above payment as I feel cheated by HSBC by giving false information and their deliberate intention was to cheat.

My questions are

1. Why the annual fee all of a sudden on a card promised to be FREE FOR LIFE?
2. Why the annual fee or joining fee were not charged in the past many years?
3. Why was I not informed of the promotional campaign to waive annual or joining fee at the time of taking the card? What are the details of the campaign?
4. Why was I not informed of the closing of the so called promotional campaign, if at all it were there?
5. Why was I not given an option to cancel the card before levying annual fees?
6. Why was I not informed prior to charging Annual fee.
7. My calendar cycle was from 14th to 13th of any calendar month. Why was the annual fee charged on 13th of April, which prevented me to cancel the card prior to charging the annual fee, as it was charged on the last day of the cycle.
8. Why was there no mention of the period for which annual fees are charged?
9. I know of one instance of such levy of annual charges and on request, the same was waived off on 15th April 2010, stating that the fee is waived due to some promotional campaign going on now. That means there is some promotional campaign going on now. Why was that promotional campaign benefits not extended to my card. Why this double standards of HSBC offering promotional benefits only to a few. In what way am I different from those?
10. Where can I take legal recourse and what are the legal remedial courses available to me from this daylight robbery.

HSBC Credit Card — Company did not cancel annual fee as promised

Dear Sir,
I had a HSBC credit card for which 2500 is the annual fee. In 2005 I decided to cancel the card because I did not want to pay the annual fee. At that time when I called up Customer Care I was told that the annual fee would be cancelled and I was asked to retain the card. So I agreed. But following year I again got a bill with annual fee. I again called up Customer Care and requested them to cancel the card. They again said the annual fee would be cancelled and made me retain the card. The last couple of years of also same thing has happened. But the annual fee on my card was not cancelled as promised by the HSBC customer support executive. This balance on my card has increased to around Rs 10, 000 now with accruing interest on annual fee though I have not made a single transaction in the last 4 years. My card has been cancelled meanwhile. I have made repeated calls and sent emails to the customer support and also a registered letter to the headoffice in Chennai but nobody seems to care or even attempt to look into my issue. I still keep getting monthly bills that are steadily increasing. Please advice me what I should do now.

Thanks,
Chaitanya
Dear sir,
I had a HSBC CARD NO:[protected].At the time of issuing me this card it was told that no annual fee.now I recieved the bill with charges. I request your customer to close my card and the same had been closed. But at the time of closing there was debit balance rs. 298=82. So it is requested to you to refund this money by cheque or demand draft at my address:NARINDER SACHDEVA, 2/106 SUNDER VIHAR (PASCHIM VIHAR) NEW DELHI-110087.

Address: Gurgaon, Haryana

I have been a HSBC credit card customer since long time and made every payment in time. I dropped the cheque in their JMD branch ATM box 4 days before the due date but HSBC claimed that they received the cheque late hence they have put late payment and finance charges on me which is invalid. I have called so many times to HSBC customer care to clear these unnecessary charges but they are not agree and every month they are putting charges on previous late/finance charges. I have paid all the legal and valid amount to HSBC in time and requested many times to clear these charges as it is being incrementing as compound interest but they are pressurizing me to pay all the charges and boasting me for making my record as defaulter in CIBIL so that i can not take any financial help from other banks. I even asked them to settle and close the account but they are forcing me to clear all the invalid charges without any discount else we will be putting more charges every month and you have to pay all of them in future.

I am not finding any way to come out of this type o[censored]nnecessary trouble and boasting which is being given to a customer by HSBC bank. They are ready to close the account else putting pressure on the customer to pay all invalid charges else we will make you defaulter.

Even by giving all the payment to bank, HSBC bank is troubling the customer and misusing the banking power.

Anyone please suggest what can be done to come out of this.

Regards

After that I have never used the card and requested to close the A/C but card was not closed and unnecessary charges were put on me every month.

Kindly consider the card closure request and settle the account.

Regards

HSBC Credit Card — Invalid Charges

Hi,

I used to have HSBC gold card: [protected]. 2 or 3 months back I faced a financial crunch so I availed the Cash on EMI provided to HSBC credit card customers for the balance amount not used. It was of amount 70000. If I include interest and file charges it would come around 77000. After 10 days I got a call from HSBC that they have an offer in which I can upgrade the card to Platinum card. I thought it would be a good choice to take the platinum card. So they provided me new platinum card : [protected] and cancelled my old card. But when I received the statement of my new platinum card I got the shock of my life, they transferred whole of 77000 as lump sum amount without breaking them in EMI. I called up HSBC and told them that it was they who provided the upgrade without informing the consequences. I then requested to cancel the current platinum card and provide my old gold card back. But I got a negative response from HSBC. I felt cheated. I got the card cancelled paid around 72000 back and I called them up that rest of the interest I am not going to pay as I have not been provided Cash on EMI as promised by the bank.. Now HSBC is not agreeing to my point and as per the current statement I have pay late charges plus balance amount.

Kindly let me know how to deal with it. This is a clear cut cheating from HSBC bank. I used to have a very good relation with the bank. But after this incidence I am really shocked.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,
My HSBC card no : [protected]

I received a SMS telling I need to pay Rs. 954 for CPP. I have not replied to the CPP as told by your person who spoke. They have recorded the call telling this is for their own reference. In the call and also in the postal mail, they had said this charge is purely on the basis of my approval. When I have not approved for this service why should I be charged?

I am not going to pay and if this continues I will cancel the card. Please rectify ASAP.
