Sir,

I was using 3 credit cards( 2 from citibank and 1 of HSBC). Both my citi cards were paid in end 2008 and begining 2009 post bill delivery related disputes were settled. Till date, my cibil shows these cards as "written off "instaed of "closed". One of HSBC was fully paid in Aug 2009. Still its showing up as written off. Due to this my credit scores have come down drastically in last 1 yr.

Inspite of me chasing these banks, there is no revert from them. Everytime i get a reply " we are getting the same rectified" however no action is taken so far. Plse help.

    I had taken a SAMRT HOME LOAN from HSBC, ANDHERI(East) Branch, in Feb-2005 based on the good service and understanding by the Branch Manager Mr. Rahul Verma and Loan Office Ms. Laxmi.
    All was well till, normal loan processing was done. Mr. Rahul and Ms. Laxmi helped me very well.

    Later the Loan was handled by the Homeloans department and there were no clarifications/ help available.
    The Benefits which were projected, by charging a additional amount in the EMI - were not passed on to the Customer and thus the whole Scheme - was just operating as fooling the customers.

    I was told that as Part of SMART HOME LOAN - you pay additional amount in the EMI, for more service required in handling the Smart Home, and from the Fixed EMI - your Interest and Principal will be deducted on a plan -
    The Amount Parked in Home Loan Account - will call for the Interest Reduction from EMI.
    EMI Amount, thus goes more towards the Principal if you are increasing your EMI, you get more benefits to reduce the Principal faster.

    Since 2006, I noticed and followed it up with HSBC and with some or other reasons - they are just delaying the things till date - even the complaints at higher levels have not really helped.
    Once in a month someone calls, agrees for the mistake and assures for the Correction and Report for the same and it never happens. I was told to Visit the Branch - where I wasted hours to meet the Person / Branch Manager / and still no Results - Branch says - Loan dept can help - Loan dept says we will send the papers to your branch or to you and some NonSense Statements - Proposed payment Schedule etc. is sent.
    I am sick of this and going to launch a complaint with Banking Obdusmen and Consumer Forum.

    Any help in this regards is appreciated.

    am faced with a unique problem now regarding the SCB HOME SAVER loan, i'd taken in SCB in 2006. At the time of taking loan i was told that i should deposit all my excess amount above the EMI amount, which will effectively reduce the principal outstanding and help reduce the interest cost and home loan tenure.


    So i made the home saver account as my SALARY account as i do not invest the idle money all the time. So why not let it be parked in the home saver linked account. This will reduce the principal balance on a daily basis and i'll pay less interest on the loan.


    So even though the home saver interest rate is actually 0.5-1% higher than the normal loan rate from the same bank, i opted for the home saver option thinking that i'll save interest. So last 5 years the bank had been sending me statement showing how parking excess deposit above the EMI amount had helped me reduce the interest cost and there by shown as "Interest saved" in the form of higher "Available Balance". My excess deposit is shown as "Current Balance".

    So mathematically "Available Balance" = "Current Balance" + "Interest Saved". One important thing to note here is that bank does not give any current interest on the excess fund (in other bank it is about 3.5 - 4% on savings account).

    So if my principal outstanding was 30 lakh in the first month of loan period and i had deposited 2 lakh then bank calculated the home loan interest on 30-2 = 28 lakh. This helped me save some interests which had been accumulating over the 5 years period. But i did not earn any current interest rate on 2 lakh, which i would have earned, if that amount would have been parked in other savings account, say in SBI.



    This calculation is done on a daily basis and over the last 5 years period, i'd saved about 1.5 lakh interest savings. So when on Jan-2011 the net principal outstanding became ZERO and since i'd surplus "Available Balance" (it showed as CR. and not debit), the bank started debiting the EMI from the "Available Balance", which is nothing but "Current Balance" + "Interest Saved". So from Feb-2011 till May-2011 the entire "Interest Saved" amount of 1.5 lakh was wiped out. When i confronted with the bank that the principal outstanding was ZERO on Jan-2011 then my loan should have been closed and i should have been returned the entire "Available Balance", they are now telling the "Interest Saved" portion in "Available Balance" is not your money and it is only reference calculation because of your excess deposit. So while closing the loan this amount will be retained by the bank and only "Current Balance" amount will be returned.





    I feel like being cheated here by the bank because :



    1) I paid higher interest in home saver loan, which is 0.5 to 1% higher than any conventional home loan rate.

    2) I did not earn any interest on my excess fund, which is say 3.5 - 4% in SBI.

    3) Every day i'll have say 2-3 lakh cash balance in bank account which did not earn any interest. In addition, bank also wiped out the entire interest saving portion as well.



    If i would have known that this way the interest saving amount would be adjusted from "Available Balance", month after month as EMI, when my net principal balance becomes ZERO then i would not have opted for this product. Now i am thinking of first approaching RBI ombudsman and if not resolved then may think of consumer case. I think SCB misleading the home saver customer with this type of product where in customer is paying higher interest than regular home loan product and also no interest rate is being paid on excess deposit fund, which other banks generally pay on current account @ 3.5-4%. I would have parked the excess fund in other savings account which would have earned 3.5-4%.



    I want to know, is it OK for the bank to retain the interest saved amount. This home saver product was promoted as everything beneficial for the customer. Can you also let me know what is the beneficial to the bank because of this product. I think the benefit to the bank would be loss to the customer for sure. Is this product mis-sold and mis-leading as it is happening in ULIP insurance products

      Even after informing HSBC that I am receiving calls from HSBC recovey depatrment for outstanding on a card that is not even owned by me, instead of getting it sorted out how can HSBC provide my details to CIBIL as defaulters.

      I have applied for car loan through Axis Bank, and this came to me as a shocking news that I am a defaulter of HSBC for a particular card that is not even owned by me.

      After calling HSBC, the officer on the other side brief me that a particular card is mapped to my details and has an outstanding of Rs 49000 approx. The officer also told me that the card was delivered in Ahmedabad, and to my shockking info I have never been there. Initially I use to get calls from recovery agents for this particular card (number was never disclosed by them).

      Can anyone please help me out in sorting out this issue.

      Axis Bank — Misleading the shareholders.

      I received a letter from Axis Bank that share holders are entitled to receive credit cards without having to produce address proof,income proof etc.The Bank accepted my application but refused to issue the card saying that I will be entitled for a card only if I keep a fixed deposit.No where in the letter/pamphlet is it mentioned that I should put down a certain amount to obtain a credit card.The Bank is misleading the share holders.They returned my application WITHOUT a covering letter.so I dont know the reason why it was rejected.On calling them they refused to send me a letter stating the reason for rejection.
      Please take stern action against the Bank and instruct them accordingly

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        I dropped the cheque in the skypack dropbox inThane on 27th March 2010, well in time, towards the payment of the monthly credit card statement due on 1st April 2010.I also provided the cheque details to the phone banking officers.
        HSBC started calling me on my mobile phone when they did not receive the cheque upto 3rd April 2010 and clarified that the cheque could have been misplaced. On 3rd April 2010, they instructed me to stop the cheque payment in order to avoid the possible misuse and asked me to re-issue another cheque. I immediately instructed my bank (SBI) to stop the cheque payment and issued another cheque. HSBC SMSed me on 4th April that received my first cheque and later SMSed me that the cheque was dis-honoured. On 5th they received my second cheque.
        After this events, when I got my statement, I found that HSBC has charged me Rs.1248/- towards the late payment fee & finance charges.
        I have been using HSBC card since 1998 and been very punctual in making payments. Despite my repeated request of reversal of these charges for no fault of mine, HSBC has not considered the complete reversal.

        HSBC Credit Card India — Late Payment Charges

        IN AUGUST 2009, I HAD PAID WITHIN DUE AND BANK CHARGED ME LATE PAYMENT CHARGED.
        SAME THING IN SEPT 2009 WHEN I HAS PAID IN 4TH SEPT AND CHQ CLEAR ON 8TH SPET IN MY BANK AC , HSBC STAFF CALL ME FOR PAYMENT ON 9TH AND SMS FOR PAYMENT ON 8TH SEPT 209

        THIS MEANS HSBC NOT PROPERTY ACCOUNTED PAYMENT RECEIVED STATMENT AND CHARGED FOR LATE PAYMENT FROM CONSUMER

        actual purchase amount Rs.1010/-in the month march'09 but i am not received any statemnets upto June'09. after receiving the statement i shocked the payment outstanding including late charges, immediately i have contacted customer care executive regrading this. the customer executive given promise to reversal of the late charges if you paid the actual purchase amount of Rs.1010/- by way of cash immediately.So immediately i have paid the amount by cash. after that i am not received any satement. again after two months gap i have received statement agains i was shocked they charged late payment. This bank they are accumulated the late payment charges. Again i contacted the executives now they telling it is not possible to reverse the late payment charges.They misguing the people and bluffing the customers.This word if they say at the time of my payment i can think and pay now it is more than the actual payment . evey month they are adding the late payment charges i have all evidences of customer care exective discussion regarding the late payment charges - i.e name of the executive and date of discussion. So kindly do the needful in this r egard
        I have closed HSBC credit card No-[protected] on dec2009 but till today i recieve a statement adding Rs 500 as late payment charges every month i called several times to call centre and last month they told me that there is Rs 76 balance as pricipal which i had immediately cleared but again i recieved statement which shows Rs 3500 as balance
        When i ask them how they can charge late payment when the card is closed they say till the time you clear all late payment charges this will not be stopped
        So this 3500 is late payment charges 500 * 7 months

        I request you to help me in sorting out the issue

          LETTER WRITTEN TO BRANCH MANAGER - SBI.

          Further to your confirmation on ECS, please note that my ECS is yet not in place. I have submitted the ECS form to Mr Barje in the First week of March. Despite several reminders to yourself and Nitin Barje, I fail to understand why ECS has not been updated yet.

          Despite your SMS confirmation last week that my ECS is updated, sorry to state that
          my EMI for April has not been debited. And I am sure you will agree that no one but SBI is responsible for the same.
          last week I have received two letters from SBI (posted on 3rd April), saying that my ECS is not received by you.
          Copies of your letter attached for your reference.

          After this I donot know how seriously to take a Branch Manager's confirmation.

          I have been receiving chasers (calls) from your team for the HML documents. Ideally HML documents should have been collected by you from the HSBC HML Team directly in the first month of HML transfer. I am shocked to hear that you didnot hold my HML documents for 9 months after the disbursal of the loan. I am a banker myself and am worried at such a lackadaisical attitude of SBI.

          If you are not worried about your own documents for 9 months, I am sure you will not bother solving my ECS problem and one day slap me with the interest charge for late payment of EMI.

          I am trying to retrieve the HML documents irrespective of whether you help me or not. . But please do not call me again untill you have resolved my ECS issue. I want a written confirmation from you that " the ECS has been uploaded and that my EMIs will be debited directly on time going forward" and am expecting an apology from your end.

            I have a credit card of HSBC for which I ma facing a lot of problems. Firstly the statements didn't come appropriately then there executives call for the payment. As I stay in Faridabad there is no ATM or drop box there which was also confimed by there staff, and my workplace is in Udyog Vihar Gurgaon, from here the bank or the atm /drop box is really far which is also communicated to HSBC staff many times. They have taken time from me for 5 times to send there executives but no one turned up. Once a person came without informing that time I was not at home and obviously could'nt leave a cheque also as I was not informed only. Now the more insulting and rude part is that I get call from there chennai office no is - [protected] some lady called up, I said that on saturday dated:10 April 2010 also u were supposed to send someone but nobody turned, now because of all these reasons again my due date has passed and they have laid a penality of late fees, service tax etc which I am supposed to pay by 5 May. So on this I said okay then now call me that time only as already you have laid penality on me, she started shouting on me and also when I told her that I need a settlement she said we will not do incase you are so worried then you would have done the payment, you people are defaulter, no understanding of banking. We will not be settling the account and just mind your language and other similar stuff. I said that I have even called up your call center so replying she said that I am a fool that I dont know where I am calling and where is the call landing to.

            Please help me in this case because I will not take it this way that a call center girl using bad language, shouting, speaking with no respect to a customer who has to pay the money. I am also using cards of HDFC, American Express, no problems with them but I don't understand why HSBC is there and who has given the rights to there executives to misbehave, take time from customers and not reaching to them.

            I need a solution.

            HSBC Credit Card — Unnecessary calls for payment when there is no balance due

            Dear Concerned,

            My HSBC credit card number is[protected]. This card was last used in 2006 and a payment was also done, though on the last date of the payment due date. Upon receipt of the bill the next month, I saw there was late payment charge in the statement. I immediately called up the customer care and explained them the situation, however as per the executive on the call, the payment must have been made atleast 2/3 days prior to the last date . On which i explained that even other cards give a grace of atleast 2 working days after the last date of making payment.
            Anyways to my surprise she was not convinced and I clearly requested her to reverse the charge and I promised to be careful in future. After that day, I have not used the card a single time and that 350 odd late payment charge has become Rs.10 K now and every now and them after 3/4 months some jerks call for payment and I explain to them every now and then that there are no real charges due on the card and if they want me to pay, they must show me the charges that have been incurred by me and not paid, even if a single dime other than that late payment, I would make not just full payment but even extra . But no one is able to provide it to me. I have also requested them to discontinue the card, but they disagree.Now I'm extremely irritated with this . Please advise the way out as I'm planning to visit a Legal help for this issue.

              Dear All,
              Today, I received an email from Heritage Group/Plat5 Consultancy in relation to my Ticket Bookings. I had already paid Rs. 6055 on 30th January, 2010 by debit of my credit card amount. At that time, I was promised to give a watch worth INR 4000/-, a two nights three days stay in some resorts which I choose from the list and to and fro air ticket to certain destination. At that time, I was not told any extra payments required to be done. However, when I got a reply for ticket booking Hyderabad-Delhi and Delhi-Hyderabad, I was told to email an authorization to Heritage Holidays to bill Rs 5, 640/- ( Rs 5, 640/- towards Airport Tax/Surcharges ) on my HSBC credit card.
              I not only got a shock but almost fainted by looking at such a massive fraud.
              I have replied them saying that I will not authorize them to debit my credit card account and not to proceed with the ticket booking. I am also contemplating to initiate legal actions against HSBC Bank, and Heritage Group.
              I agree with the Complainant. The service is pathetic. The paltinum5 Premium offer of HSBC Bank Credit card offer is a fraudulent offer. They make so many tall promises when they call you up but when you get to know details, it will be too late as the options are very limited. In fact, regarding hotels and resorts, they say that it is 4 stars and 5 star but they are not. For example, recently, I stayed in a Resort called Logoa Azul in Goa on self expense which is one of the resorts selected under this programme of Premium offer. This resort is NOT a 4 star one. Rather, this is not a resort which deserves any star. Similarly, there are many conditions and terms and very stupid policies they have which makes the offer useless most of the time. Like, there are restrictions on utilization offer like some months depending on places are excluded during which you cannot utilize your voucher. Another funniest thing for example is you can fly Kolkata to Hyderabad and from Hyderabad to Kolkata, but you cannot fly Hyderabad to Kolkata and Kolkata to Hyderabad on which point I am still fighting with them.
              The whole scheme looks like a scam orchestrated by HSBC Bank in connivance with some private company. I am soon lodging a complaint on this with HSBC Bank or its banking ombudsman and if no satisfactory reply is received, I am thinking to complain it to RBI. I am not sure and do not know if there will be anything positive, but I think we must try not to let this scam happen.
              Another irritating aspect is their call center heritage. Most of the time, they do not receive the calls despite phone ringing, and ask in typical Hindi accent and in a very monotonous sound and frequently say 'Haan ji' in Hindi without anything caring about whether the person calling knows Hindi. While customer will be talking in English, they start immediately talking in Hindi, sometimes leaving the customers wondering what she is saying.
              Another absolutely disgusting thing about them is that it looks they are shortage of men power or have been crowded with cheap labour in the markets who do not have enough energy to respond calls. Even when phones are ringing, no one picks up the phone and bothers to respond. It happens 9 out of 10 times and this will make a really frustrating experience to you.
              We must protest against this corporate scam.

              I have replied them saying that I will not authorize them to debit my credit card account and not to proceed with the ticket booking. I am also contemplating to initiate legal actions against HSBC Bank, and Heritage Group.
              I agree with the Complainant. The service is pathetic. The paltinum5 Premium offer of HSBC Bank Credit card offer is a fraudulent offer. They make so many tall promises when they call you up but when you get to know details, it will be too late as the options are very limited. In fact, regarding hotels and resorts, they say that it is 4 stars and 5 star but they are not. For example, recently, I stayed in a Resort called Logoa Azul in Goa on self expense which is one of the resorts selected under this programme of Premium offer. This resort is NOT a 4 star one. Rather, this is not a resort which deserves any star. Similarly, there are many conditions and terms and very stupid policies they have which makes the offer useless most of the time. Like, there are restrictions on utilization offer like some months depending on places are excluded during which you cannot utilize your voucher. Another funniest thing for example is you can fly Kolkata to Hyderabad and from Hyderabad to Kolkata, but you cannot fly Hyderabad to Kolkata and Kolkata to Hyderabad on which point I am still fighting with them.
              The whole scheme looks like a scam orchestrated by HSBC Bank in connivance with some private company. I am soon lodging a complaint on this with HSBC Bank or its banking ombudsman and if no satisfactory reply is received, I am thinking to complain it to RBI. I am not sure and do not know if there will be anything positive, but I think we must try not to let this scam happen.
              Another irritating aspect is their call center heritage. Most of the time, they do not receive the calls despite phone ringing, and ask in typical Hindi accent and in a very monotonous sound and frequently say 'Haan ji' in Hindi without anything caring about whether the person calling knows Hindi. While customer will be talking in English, they start immediately talking in Hindi, sometimes leaving the customers wondering what she is saying.
              Another absolutely disgusting thing about them is that it looks they are shortage of men power or have been crowded with cheap labour in the markets who do not have enough energy to respond calls. Even when phones are ringing, no one picks up the phone and bothers to respond. It happens 9 out of 10 times and this will make a really frustrating experience to you.
              We must protest against this corporate scam.

                I have been holding HSBC Credit Card for last almost 5 years. I had never paid annual fee tilldate since I am a powervantage plus customer. All of a sudden the bank had charged me an amount of Rs 2206 as Annual payment fee on 17th March 2010. On top of it, it has charged another Rs 400 as late payment charge surprisingly on 9th April 2010, before even I get the proper solution/justification to the problem.
                Please allow me to introduce myself my name is Michael Mason-Mahon and I am a shareholder of HSBC Plc. I am based in London yet I am a very regular visitor to India.

                At HSBC Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2010 I did address my concerns with the Board of Directors concerning what HSBC has been doing and is doing in India to our customers.

                I have seen your complaint on the Cosumer Court web-site.
                Please allow me to say that I am very sorry the way HSBC has treated yourself.

                I may be able to help you. I can assure you that I will do all that I can to help you. I have been very successful in the people that I have taken up their cases with HSBC.
                I have been able to deal with complaints, and had all charges removed and had their names removed from CIBIL. they are very happy. Even if you have paid them money, I can assure you that what they did to you and this is my personal belief that their actions are illegal.

                  On 30th November 2009, I received a message from HSBC bank (Credit Card division). I need to clear a Total payment 2769 Rs ,then I ask bank, about the details and how this amount come and I told them let me know where I spend this amount. I called to the phone banking officer not less than 30 times (every time they lesson the problem for 20 minutes discussed with their senior and then disconnected the lines).At present the bank has referred the case to a recovery agent. During last 2 months the agent every day calls me 20-30 times he shouted on me and asked for the money. He has no record he is not ready to lesson my argument. Due to so many telephone calls I am losing my mental piece.

                  Then I decided to settle this amount and ask the recovery agent, how much I should pay to settle the problem. Then they ask for 2000 Rs to settle this. I had paid this amount to collection firm name SERCO and the name of the agent is Mukesh Singh. I ask for settlement letter, and then he told me that I will receive in coming few days. After that I neither I receive any letter from bank or receive calls from this Agent.

                  But day before yesterday, I was shocked when I received a call from different Agent and asking for same amount. I try log complain to(Recovery Agent) HSBC Bank, but they denies to log a complained.

                  I had a Receipt (CPD[protected] with me of 2000 Rs paid to agent and I also get SMS from bank about the Rs paid by me.

                  Please help me what I should do.

                  Dear Sir,

                  HSBC issued me two CC.- [protected] & [protected]. In October 1st 2007 my wife deposited an amount of Rs.5700/, Chq No.-672919(BOB), in favour of 5164 instead of 6315. I requested the bank to transfer the amount of Rs.5, 700/- to CC No. 6315 and to cancel the card no.-5164 which is creating confusion to us. But at the time of transferring the money HSBC deducted Rs.3240/ renewal charges of CC-5164 (for the card which I have never used) & transferred Rs.2086/-leaving an balance of Rs373/ at my Credit Card a/c 5164. I requested to HSBC to reverse the charges and to transfer the full amount to CC No-6315. In response to my letter Miss Jeyalakshmi-CSO reversed the annual charges through her letter dated January 8, 2008 (copy attached) and also advised me to contact with their phone banking Officer. I contacted with the phone banking officer several times but they have denied to reverse the same. Since then I have written to the bank several times and called to the phone banking officer not less than 30 times (every time they lesson the problem for 20 minutes discussed with their senior and then disconnected the lines). At present the bank has referred the case to a recovery agent. During last 2 months the agent every day calls me 20-30 times he shouted on me and asked for the money. He has no record he is not ready to lesson my argument. Due to so many telephone calls I am losing my mental piece. HSBC has black listed me and due to which other banks are denying to sanction me loans also. I request you to compel HSBC to settle my CC Account No.-6315 by transfering Rs.3613/- from my other Credit Card A/c and to stop the harrassment by the Recovery Agent.

                    I was using credit card of HSBC for last 3 years. It was given to me FREE OF COST for lifetime. Last month they have charged Annual Fees. I have talked to Customer Care & asked to cancel my credit card. They assured me that the Charges will be reversed. Also she has given me reference no. But, she added that I will not get any e-mail or sms for confirmation.

                    I got a call on 07-04-10 from bank to clear my credit card dues. I have asked the Gentleman to call me next day as I was out of town (on roaming) & was in a meeting. But he didn't look at this and was continued arguing. I told him about the whole matter. Then he start asking series of questions - When you talked to the customer care, what was the matter etc. I asked him to get the data from your bank server. I hope he didn't look at that.
                    Again, in the morning when I was on bed (07:19 am), I got a call from another executive regarding credit card dues. I asked him is this the correct time to call anyone? He responded that what we are doing on the guidelines of RBI & the timings are 7 to 7. I asked him that whether RBI has also given you permission to Harass a customer. Why don't you look into your data & check what are the charges & what is the status?
                    I am getting calls from the Collection team daily since then. I talked to the customer care, they assured me that no body will call me again, but, today I got a call again.
                    The intention of bank is too bad that they want to generate income by charging False Dues on customer & ask for same later. Because if it a genuine bank then they would have taken my concent before charging Annual Fees to me.
                    Also I have put up a mail to the bank, but they have not taken any action against this problem.

As according to consumer law & fair debt collection practices I must try to to resolve the matter 1st with the service provider it self. When I used this card I was never use to get timely statement in last I have to decide to close the card with a mutual agreement with the bank to settle the card for rs 23200/ for which I have letter from the bank for 7 mar- 2008. Signed by AVP- Debt management (Mr mohit chopra). In this hole process thers been several laws which was taken for granted . a collector came to my house while I was not present and have disclose the debt to my mother were according to law you cannot do that if the customer is above 18 year of age. After paying the balance of Rs 23200 in six installments starting from 15th mar2008 by the cheque no .738832 till the last payment of Rs 3865.00 for aug 2008 by cheque no 036038. To the collection agency HORIZON CREDIT MNT SER, 52 OLD RAJENDER NAGAR 3RD FLOOR NEW DELHI -60. To the collector Mr pankaj. After paying all the installment when asked Mr. pankaj to send us the zero balance letter it was informed to me that this process will take at least 2months and you will be receiving a zero balance letter. After facing with the great hassle with HSBC bank it was understood that will not be receiving any letter for which it was already informed to Mr pankaj . after all these month the letter which I receive from bank is from SANJEEV SINGH & ASSOCIATES ADVOCATES about the same account as still running on default status. Now its to inform you that I have faced lot of mental harassment from the bank regarding the same account which has been settle for which I have paid this is a last try from my end to let you no if you can send me the zero balance letter. Or rest I should reply to your legal notice from sanjeev singh.

                    HSBC — Credit Card - false charges

                    I have applied for one card and not using it from last 1.5-2 yrs. Also i asked them to stop it and register the call. Still it was active and got the call for payment. It must be account renewal charges as i didn't had any transaction over a year. Now recovery agent calling and troubling me every month. will HSBC stop this cheap practices to collect money ? I am sure thats the main reason of showing profit even in this financial crisis.

                    HSBC Credit Card — harrasement

                    I was holding a credit card of HSBC from the year 1999 & was using it without any problem.My office changes in the year 2007 january from Gurgaon to Okhla & I informed the bank authority well in advance, but did not received the statment ever from then till now. That time I had made a payment which was not received by the bank & thus I was not aware what was the exact amount to be paid, but had a fair idea that its around rs.5000. However I started receiveing the settlement call from bank frenchise company in the year 2008 ( Creative Solution ), where I commited that I will pay each & every penny which is due on me of the transaction i have done but will not pay any amount which is due to late payment as its no my mistake. Thereafter the executive send me the statment through e-mail & I paid 5450 rs in cash ( this was the actual amount due) to the executive who came on dtd29.07.08, vide receipt no.0307004. As he confirmed that I will receive the full settlement letter in a day or two, i never received anything from them till now. I tried to call this person on the tel no which he gave me but of no use as it was now no longer working. Now every day have been receiveing calls from different executive of bank asking for paying the money which I have already paid. I do not know where to go & what to do further. They have harrased me like hell & all the executives are using abusive languages when ever they call.I have been explaining the whole story too all the executive but of no use. Now I am tired, Please help. I have this receipt which was given to me while I made the payment of full settlement.

                    HSBC — Check cllection charges

                    Hi,
                    I did not ask HSBC to send a person at my home for collection of rs 583 cheque.

                    They sent a person and I was charges rs 100 for the same. They did not inform me that cheque collection charges is rs 100. Nor did I ask them to send one.

                    HSBC now refuses to revert this charges.


                    Also, when we got the SBC catd, we were assured that it is life time free card, now they keep chargong every year for my card and add on card and I have to fight every year with them to get it removed.

                    LATER WHEN I HAPPENED TO CHECK MY ACCOUNT OF MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT AND THE CREDIT DETAILS I WAS SHOCKED AS I WAS CHARGED AN ANNUAL FEE OF RS.700.10.                     When I received Statement for the month of December , it was having Rupees 100 charged as collection charges and when I inquired about this I was told that since 15 Sep 2010 and payment cheque deposited in Skypak or HSBC drop Box or any Cash payment done at HSBC counter will invoite collection charges. When I resisted they have prmised me to refund the money however I have asked repeated many times the reason for collection charges as I have been useing Credit card for almost 5 years and never had this and even when I got the credit crad nobody told me about this..this is totally unjustified and is very much against the customers rights. I have exchaged mails with them however there is no concrete reply in terms of my question.

                      Respected Sir,

                      I was holding a HSBC credit card (4476-XXXX-XXXX-0318) 3 years back which got expired on March 2009. I haven’t used that credit card for the past 2 years.

                      But suddenly i started receiving Credit Card statements through post to my residential address and to my email ID after the credit card had expired.
                      I have been charged some annual processing fee and membership fee of Rs.5281 and my name was reported in CIBIL.
                      The customer care people never said anything about the annual fee when they issued the credit card.
                      Despite of making a payment of Rs.5500 and closing all the payment dues, HSBC is again charging me for legal fee of Rs.218 and repayment cash fee of Rs.110
                      In the Bank statement for the period 05 Jan 2010 to 04 Feb 2010 the outstanding balance amount was 5281.00
                      I made a payment of Rs.5500 and wanted to get rid of this issue.
                      In the Bank statement for the period 05 feb 2010 to 04 mar 2010 the outstanding balance amount was 0.00
                      I thought the issue is completely resolved though they had charge me a legal fee of Rs. 218.00.But,
                      In the Bank statement for the period 05 mar 2010 to 04 april 2010 the outstanding balance amount is 110.30.

                      I have unneccesarily made the payment for the expired card which i didnt do any purchasing.And now HSBC bank is again and again charging me for the closed credit card.

                      Current status of the credit card is closed.

                      I request you to consider my complaint against HSBC for the issue mentioned.

                      1. Credit card was issued to me with promise of 'free
                      for life' and that was perhaps the only buying criteria.
                      -----HSBC has never charged any annual charges in any year since it was
                      issued in 2007.

                      2. The card expired on Jan 2009, no written or telephonic confirmation was
                      taken from me for renewing the card and even it was renewed the same has
                      been never delivered to me. I also didn't ask for the same thinking that it
                      has already expired and hence would have been closed. Also I had no
                      requirement for it.
                      Now in Jan 2010, I get the bill with Rs.2000+ taxes for the card. You say
                      that you don't have any promotional scheme ..blah..blah. Boss, first of all
                      you(or your sales agents) have sold the card with 'free for life' and don't
                      charge any thing for 3 years. Then, you debit charges all of a sudden.

                      3. Why on earth would I pay for something which I don't have at all?

                          Sir,
                          HSBC is cheating with the help of some other entities. In this case they have charged Rs,6500/-on a/c of membership for Premium Circle whith convenince of PLAT5 CONSULTANCY PVT.LTD.F-138,First Floor,Rajouri Garden,MainMarket New Delhi 110027. But when I recieved the detail Isent an e-mail in september 2009 for cancellation of membership as terms and condition does not suit me. Instad of cacllation HSBC sid for cancellation please contat Plat 5, where as while selling the scheme HSBC contated byt for ccellations asked me to contact Plat5. On contating Plat5 said contact HSBC. In this way they cheated me of Rs.6500/-.
                          Not only this HSBC is also chating through TATA AIG They are selling policies without adhearing to the requests of customers.

                          I took the offer from HSBC PLAT5 last year & I am totally satisfied with the services they offered to me.

                          I really enjoyed the Goa trip, I stayed at The Country Club. Its near to Anjuna Beach.. & also i got 250 rs as cash back on my credit card for the purchase of Rs 5000. Though the amount is minimal but after reading so many complaints I can say that we should not doubt the credibility of bank like HSBC.. They would not cheat & hence loose their customers for such a small amount.

                          PLAT5 was definitely wonderful as a service provider or may be bank has pressurized them to provide such good services. Obviously, the end motive of any company is profit but I believe that not only they are making profit but are earning reputation for themselves that's why big brand names are associated with Plat5.

                          Thanks for the offer. Waiting for the more opportunities to come my way so that i can make the best out of it.

                          Dear All,
                          Today, I received an email from Heritage Group/Plat5 Consultancy in relation to my Ticket Bookings. I had already paid Rs. 6055 on 30th January, 2010 by debit of my credit card amount. At that time, I was promised to give a watch worth INR 4000/-, a two nights three days stay in some resorts which I choose from the list and to and fro air ticket to certain destination. At that time, I was not told any extra payments required to be done. However, when I got a reply for ticket booking Hyderabad-Delhi and Delhi-Hyderabad, I was told to email an authorization to Heritage Holidays to bill Rs 5, 640/- ( Rs 5, 640/- towards Airport Tax/Surcharges ) on my HSBC credit card.
                          I not only got a shock but almost fainted by looking at such a massive fraud.
                          I have replied them saying that I will not authorize them to debit my credit card account and not to proceed with the ticket booking. I am also contemplating to initiate legal actions against HSBC Bank, and Heritage Group.
                          I agree with the Complainant. The service is pathetic. The paltinum5 Premium offer of HSBC Bank Credit card offer is a fraudulent offer. They make so many tall promises when they call you up but when you get to know details, it will be too late as the options are very limited. In fact, regarding hotels and resorts, they say that it is 4 stars and 5 star but they are not. For example, recently, I stayed in a Resort called Logoa Azul in Goa on self expense which is one of the resorts selected under this programme of Premium offer. This resort is NOT a 4 star one. Rather, this is not a resort which deserves any star. Similarly, there are many conditions and terms and very stupid policies they have which makes the offer useless most of the time. Like, there are restrictions on utilization offer like some months depending on places are excluded during which you cannot utilize your voucher. Another funniest thing for example is you can fly Kolkata to Hyderabad and from Hyderabad to Kolkata, but you cannot fly Hyderabad to Kolkata and Kolkata to Hyderabad on which point I am still fighting with them.
                          The whole scheme looks like a scam orchestrated by HSBC Bank in connivance with some private company. I am soon lodging a complaint on this with HSBC Bank or its banking ombudsman and if no satisfactory reply is received, I am thinking to complain it to RBI. I am not sure and do not know if there will be anything positive, but I think we must try not to let this scam happen.
                          Another irritating aspect is their call center heritage. Most of the time, they do not receive the calls despite phone ringing, and ask in typical Hindi accent and in a very monotonous sound and frequently say 'Haan ji' in Hindi without anything caring about whether the person calling knows Hindi. While customer will be talking in English, they start immediately talking in Hindi, sometimes leaving the customers wondering what she is saying.
                          Another absolutely disgusting thing about them is that it looks they are shortage of men power or have been crowded with cheap labour in the markets who do not have enough energy to respond calls. Even when phones are ringing, no one picks up the phone and bothers to respond. It happens 9 out of 10 times and this will make a really frustrating experience to you.
                          We must protest against this corporate scam.

                          Came to know about them through HSBC bank when they offered me premium circle program in association with Plat5.. In this program they offered me a holiday package, flight voucher, 5% cash back, 3 international vouchers & a branded polo watch..

                          The entire package was being offered for INR 6055 inclusive of service taxes.. The offer was quite lucrative so I thought I must go for it & surprise my family with the package, as I have 2 kids who were after my life to go for a vacation but I was refusing them due to one or the other reason..

                          Finally I said yes to the offer & received the WP after 5 weeks during which I planned my trip & completed the pending task so that I can enjoy my holiday & relax.. We went to Mussorie, the Avalon resorts and must say the experience was amazing. The hotel is surrounded with lush green valley & the rooms were exotic.

                          All together I would like to thank Plat5, heritage holidays & above all HSBC for having tied up with them & offering this program to its esteemed customers & make us feel special.
                          I have complete trust in HSBC & services being rendered by them.. Its been more than 5 years now I have been dealing with HSBC.. I have dealt with them when I was in Pakistan & now I have moved to India due to ill health ..

                          I hold 2 credit cards out of which one is for HSBC & its been a pleasure always to use the services being offered on this card.. Since I came to India & wanted to explore the native place HSBC also gave me this chance by providing privilege circle program in association with Plat5...

                          Not only I got 5 % cash back which was minimal amount though... But, am glad to have visited Jaipur.. I stayed at Hawa Mahal & got a chance to see & learn about Indian Culture.. There's a lot i want to know.. But my health isn't allowing me..

                          Still i won't miss any chance to enjoy life to its fullest...Bit sad to read about complaints against HSBC..

                          Can understand that all the customers are not happy, satisfied like me.. Believe that the bank need to improve upon their services..

                          The services provided by their service provider Plat5 was wonderful... I am thankful to the both to have given me this chance..

                          I am bit surprised to read the above post but on the other side glad as well.. prior reading the above post I was thinking that I am the only one who has utilized & benefited from the these loyalty programs offered to the credit card holders of HSBC by Plat5...

                          I too as mentioned above have availed all the benfits & I am happy to have such benefits at such discounted price. It wouldn't have been possible to get so many things in one package but due to the tie up between two firms it was made possible that the customers get such benefits at a price much lesser than what they are available in the market..

                          I am too CC holder for long & has been receiving such benefits from bank.. The bank has always been nice to its customers in providing such beneficial schemes.. The bank has been very careful in choosing the product which would be given to its customers. This product is too heavy money saver & PLAT 5 has been great in providing the services.

                            HSBC/Personal Loan — Removal of my name from CIBIL report.

                            I have Personal loan ( 2 lakhs)running from HSBC with account number[protected] .Actually I met with an accident few months back and was unable to pay last 3 EMI's.Now I have cleared all my payments till now.If you will see my past record I have very good repaymnet record in this loan except these 3 EMI's

                            Now I have applied for 1 more personal loan with some other banks but my loan is getting rejected because my name is coming in CIBIL report due to which I am not getting personal loan for my sister's marriage. As of know it is coming 105DPT under my name in CIBIL report.

                            So plz update my payments in CIBIL asap so that my name will get removed from CIBIL report.Plz do it now as I need personal loan for my sister's marriage with in a month or two.

                              I made my settlement as per the HSBC Bank Settlement letter for Rs. 15,900/- in two installment (Rs. 10,000/- & Rs. 5,900/-) on 27 December 2010. Despite of this the ECS for Rs. 2,022/- was cleared from my State Bank of Mysore Savings Account. So in this regard the Collection Agent is obliging and he is trying to help me out of the genuine problem. But the bank refused and told that the settlement has been null & void and so there is still an outstanding in my account for Rs. 18,000 something. So i need help in this regard. Can anyone suggest

                                Difficulties I am facing?
                                My name is in defaulter list of CIBIL. Whenever, I applied for any type loan that got rejected. They said that I had not paid over 3 Lacs of amount of HSBC card. But this is false information on CIBIL portal. Because I had not used this card more than 1500/- that amount I already paid to primary card holder. Now, I checked with primary card holder he said that he has done settlement with HSBC. But my name is still in CIBIL.

                                I have sent mails to HSBC and have visited HSBC Branch and collection center in Noida. But, they are saying that I also equally responsible for the same. Please help me, I am unable to move one step ahead because of this reason. I have not spent a single pie but I am suffering a lot with that.

                                    Inspite of my repetitive mail about the credit card number which i have never applied for , the bank is seeking payments along with penalties and interst which is not at all acceptable from my end.

                                    I have mailed dozen times for this issue for which i have received calls from HSBC asking to make payments.

                                    I had lost my card in 2005, for which i had made necessary due payments and had subimited in written to close my credit card. The copy Credit Card closure was submiited to HSBC bank- C.G.Road.

                                    The reason of not issuing new card was b'cause my job got transferred to remote location. On asking the confirmation receipt for closure the concern executive had said that the same will be closed and no such receipts are given by bank.

                                    Few months later i received call to make payments fot credit card. On futhur word with customer care, I came to know that new card was issued and 2k purchase from the same has been made.

                                    Immediately, i locked that card through customer care for futhur misuse and gave instruction to which address the bills were sent. To my surprise the bills were sent to previous address wre no longer i was staying. I confirmed new address to bank for furthur communication. I had also told the bank to confirm my previous records regarding payments which were healthy.

                                    On making repetitive reminders through mail and calls to HSBC and even after making personal visit to HSBC ahmedabad , no fruitful outcome is coming.

                                    Bank is asking to pay the amount with interest and penalties.

                                    Kindly check into this issue. I am expecting an outcome from HSBC bank at earliest.

                                      HSBC Complaints - Credit card and fake bill amount

                                      I was getting bill of HSBC credit card, card No.[protected], Account no.[protected]. I have never applied for this card but they send the card and started billing without without any use. Card bill reflects the repayment protection premium . When I contacted to HSBC office customer care center then they replied that you have purchase insurance. But in fact I never received any insurance certificate or any related document from any insurance company. I have not received any communication till date from any company in this regard. Therefore I request to concerned persons that kindly help me in this regard.

                                      I also request to this forum that kindly help me in sorting out my problem.

                                      HSBC Credit Card — Complaint against fake billing of credit card

                                      Respected Sir,
                                      my self prateek vashisth, a security officer in a prestigious oraganisation under the Cab . Sec., Govt of India.
                                      my request is that i have lodgged a complaint regarding the outstanding bills though i have not been issued any credit card by the bank in the month of july 2008.to the HSBC Bank Though i applied for credit card but bank denied with the argument that bank will not provide the credit card to Police perssonels.

                                      The bills showing the outstandings are regularly comming to me.and other hand i have not issued any card from the bank.
                                      I regularly lodges my complaint but no possitive response comes neither from the office of bank nor from the call centre.

                                        I am holding a credit card of HSBC Bank Card No:- [protected].

                                        I have given my caomplain in writing to Baroda office since first week of Dec 08, but till date i have not got any reply.

                                        I am not reciving the statment of my card since last 6 months.

                                        I had not taken any policy through Card and i was charged for the same.

                                        To avoid late payment i use to pay the minium Amount as when your collection fellow would tell.

                                        After al most on year the policy was canclled in first week of Feb 09.

                                        There was entry of reversal for the chages for the policy, but still i had been given a statment for paying the balance amount.


                                        For the same had called your customer care from there i was told that this will be resolved by Collection i called the collection department but they did not replyed me.


                                        how is that possible?

                                        when i have paid amount acess to HSBC Bank then how am i supposse to pay the amount.



                                        I recived a call telling me that it is from HSBC Collection and i was threatened,abused and foced to pay the balance amount of the card.



                                        so after that i had given written compalin in HSBC Bank Baroda Branch but still date i haven not been given any reply from bank.



                                        As you know if this matter is not solved then it will effect my credit with all the bank,
