Dear Mr. Roge,

Your HSBC credit card 4476 XXXX XXXX 2416 and 4476 XXXX XXXX 0493

Reference Number [protected]

We refer to your email dated 15 February 2010 received through
[protected]@hsbc, regarding your HSBC credit card.

Our records reflect that your card ****8516 and ****8512 has been closed
with effect from 10 November 2009 and the replacement card ****2416 and
****0493 has been generated and the same are in an active state. Both
the above mentioned card accounts have zero outstanding balance in the
same. I have not asked for replacement of card i have cleared all the purchased due outstanding payments & had surrendered the card under protest for charging me illegally. When ever i speak to customer care they promise and reverse the same and again the same is credited and again debited in next monthstatement. I have already communicated to your chennai office in writting for the same.

For your card ****0493 we are not in receipt of any payment towards the
same December 2009 onwards. Hence incremental charges have been levied
on the same and we regret that we cannot arrange to reverse the same as
per bank norms. The current outstanding balance in your card account is
INR 2997.55. We request you to effect payment towards the same at the
earliest to avoid levy of incremental charges. I have cleared all the purchased due outstanding payments & had surrendered all the HSBC card under protest for charging me illegally.

In regard to the annual fee of INR 700 and INR 350 levied on your card
account on we regret reversal of the same as per bank norms. However we
are offering equivalent bonus points in lieu of payment towards the
annual fee levied in your HSBC Classic card statement. I am verymuch frustrated with the service offered by HSBC and for a customer associated with them from last 7years.and are in a no mood to be associated with HSBC for any other product.

For your card ****2416 also we are not in receipt of any payment towards
the same December 2009 onwards. Hence incremental charges have been
levied on the same and we regret that we cannot arrange to reverse the
same as per bank norms. The current outstanding balance in your card
account is INR 2165.83. We request you to effect payment towards the
same at the earliest to avoid levy of incremental charges.I have cleared all the purchased due outstanding payments & had surrendered all the HSBC card under protest for charging me illegally.

Please feel free to write to us for any further clarification.
Pls. take up the issue with your recovery agent and ask them to conclude the issue at HSBC end. also be informed any verbal abusement from your recovery agent will not be tolerated and the matter will be refferred to competent authorities at your cost and consequences.

Horrible horrible experience with HSBC PMS. Not only was the performance terrible with the manager going in for high turnover but also choosing the most horrible stocks. Very illiquid and 3rd class stocks. But what was worse was the customer service. No feedback. No answer to questions and concerns. Wrong reporting of portfolio performance numbers. Terrible mistakes in Balance Shhets provided at the end of the year. The Relationship Mgr would not even pick up the phone. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.

    All prospective investors...BEWARE!
same problem with hsbc pms.incompetent fund managers who charge s money to underperform. rbi/sebi should suggest guidelines to ensure that the investors intersted is protected.can these and similar complaints be passed on to the relevant regulatory bodies pl ? can anyone suggest some remedial measures? amitabha datta kolkata

I was offered HomeLoan as SMARTHOME Loan scheme by HSBC in Feb-2005, with the Daily reducing Flaoting Rate Interest Rate.
The major benefits of the SMARTHOME Scheme was highlighted as Saving Interest and Tenure to Repay the Loan - by saving some additional amount in the Homeloan account. This reduces your total repayment amount - I had parked considerable amounts in the Homeloan account - but the Tenure Reduction as Highlighted feature of the Scheme was not offered - only the interest part some benefit was given to me.

At mulitple times - when approached the Bank - different answeres are given.
The most contradictory and surprising fact is now.....that
Bank rectified the error since 2009 April onwards and started passing the benefits - but Refuses to accept the error made and continued by them since Feb-2005 to April 2009.

This is nothing but commercial fraud and purley a case of cheating.

I need help to resolve this with HSBC Bank.

I have a credit card of HSBC for the last so many years and also maintaining saving account with the bank at New Delhi branch. Card No.[protected]

During the 2nd week of December 2009 I got a call from HSBC premium Circle branch and they offered me certain benefits under their Premium Circle programe. During the conversation the man on the line told me certain benefit given to me against payment of Rs. 6055/-. I told them that they should send me the details of offer in writing. They assured me that I will all the details of offer i.e list of destination under vacation offer , flight offer etc along with terms & condition of the scheme within a week time there after I can refuse the policy if I don’t find the terms suitable to me.

During the 2nd week of Jan-10 when I did not received my statement of account for the period 4th Dec-09 to 4th Jan-10 I contacted customer care and they told me that my statement has returned undelivered . I enquired where you have sent the statement. He told me the new address, which I never requested for change. Thereafter I requested this statement be sent again but I never got it, however I received this statement thru Email.

On checking the statement I found that A sum of Rs 6055/- has been debited to my account which I requested to reverse the same as I have not received any details etc along with other terms & conditions which were promised during telephonic conversation. I was told to write to Premium Circle thru email which I immediately did but I did not receive any reply. Thereafter I sent an email to HSBC at [protected]@hsbc.co.in and copy to Premium Circle requested for reversal of charges debited to my account. In reply to my email they advised me to write to Plat 5 consultancy Pvt. Ltd with full address for reversal, which I did immediately thru Email as well as letter thru Speed Post. Plat 5 consultancy Pvt. Ltd never replied my letter , however within 2-3 days I got one parcel thru courier which I have not opened. iF i HAVE KNOWN THAT THIS IS A THIRD PARTY ARRANGEMENT I HAVE NEVER ATTENDED THE CALL ITSELF.

I am writing again and again to HSBC and Premium Circle that since they have not provide me the details of the Scheme and the terms & conditions in writing as such accepting the scheme does not arise and they should reverse the amount debited to my Card but they have refused.

You are requested to help me in this matter as I have not accepted the Scheme without accepting the terms & conditions which were never provided to me.

I totally agree with the issue you are facing. what is the current status of your issue.

I too had got a call from HSBC for the same scheme, however I did not go for it since the executive did not have correct details of my account. He did not even have my new residence address which is very much updated in HSBC CC statement from past 1 yr. I then checked online regarding this scheme and found your complaint.

HSBC is cheating customers by offering such bogus schemes. There is a possibility of a fraud too.
I am led to believe that “HSBC Premium Circle” is a scam created by HSBC Bank Credit Card Unit in collusion with Plat5 Consultancy. I have informed all my friends holding credit cards to be aware of such scam mongers. It is the case of Plat5 that they will promise you thick and thin and at the end, keep you high and dry!
I understand this is a ploy of the HSBC Bank to fraud us by colluding with a private company. Their service is so pathetic. First of all, they function like a company which was set up before computer, internet and telephone was invented. When we can do so many online transactions these days, we can buy online tickets and make online payments by credit cards by telephone or through internet, they insist on their voucher back and then only, they think of processing. Amazingly stupid, is not it? When they can debit your credit card account after a phone call when they want, but they cannot process your request through telephone or online. When we call up their customer care or whatever they call, the number given by them over the vouchers/papers, many times, they do not even pick up the phone though the phone seems like dying because of continuously ringing. In case they pick up, some lady answers you with a rude north Indian monotonous accent and rather than listening to you, she starts offering her standard answers, “No Sir. We are sorry. We cannot do that.” They do not have any sense of India being a diverse country as more often they start talking in Hindi and doing “haa ji, haa ji” when they verify your mobile Number. Most of the time, when they answer in negative, then, you may insist on filing a complaint internally, but they will not even tell what is the process as it seems once the telephone picking agent says no, that is final, binding and authoritative pronouncements. It has been happened many times that one lady picks up the phone and puts on hold for some time, another lady picks up suddenly and asks you, ‘Yes Sir! Please tell your problem’.
To summarize their whole services in short, it is nothing but the most pathetic.

The paltinum5 Premium offer of HSBC Bank Credit card offer is a fraudulent offer. They make so many tall promises when they call you up but when you get to know details, it will be too late as the options are very limited. In fact, regarding hotels and resorts, they say that it is 4 star and 5 star but they are not. For example, recently, I stayed in a Resort called Logoa Azul in Goa on self expense which is one of the resorts selected under this programme of Premium offer. This resort is NOT a 4 star one. Rather, this is not a resort which deserves any star. Similarly, there are many conditions and terms and very stupid policies they have which makes the offer useless most of the time. Like, there are restrictions on utilization offer like some months depending on places are excluded during which you can not utilize your voucher. Another funniest thing for example is you can fly Kolkatta to Hyderabad and from Hyderabad to Kolkatta, but You can not fly Hyderabad to Kolkatta and Kolkatta to Hyderabad on which point I am still fighting with them.
Thanx for the comments. I was being offered the same from HSBC Premium circle, which provoked me to check the websites and one link took me to this site. Luckily I didnt accepted their offer. Thnx to all.
          Dear All,
Today, I received an email from Heritage Group/Plat5 Consultancy in relation to my Ticket Bookings. I had already paid Rs. 6055 on 30th January, 2010 by debit of my credit card amount. At that time, I was promised to give a watch worth INR 4000/-, a two nights three days stay in some resorts which I choose from the list and to and fro air ticket to certain destination. At that time, I was not told any extra payments required to be done. However, when I got a reply for ticket booking Hyderabad-Delhi and Delhi-Hyderabad, I was told to email an authorization to Heritage Holidays to bill Rs 5, 640/- ( Rs 5, 640/- towards Airport Tax/Surcharges ) on my HSBC credit card.
I not only got a shock but almost fainted by looking at such a massive fraud.
I have replied them saying that I will not authorize them to debit my credit card account and not to proceed with the ticket booking. I am also contemplating to initiate legal actions against HSBC Bank, and Heritage Group.
I agree with the Complainant. The service is pathetic. The paltinum5 Premium offer of HSBC Bank Credit card offer is a fraudulent offer. They make so many tall promises when they call you up but when you get to know details, it will be too late as the options are very limited. In fact, regarding hotels and resorts, they say that it is 4 stars and 5 star but they are not. For example, recently, I stayed in a Resort called Logoa Azul in Goa on self expense which is one of the resorts selected under this programme of Premium offer. This resort is NOT a 4 star one. Another funniest thing for example is you can fly Kolkata to Hyderabad and from Hyderabad to Kolkata, but you cannot fly Hyderabad to Kolkata and Kolkata to Hyderabad on which point I am still fighting with them.
The whole scheme looks like a scam orchestrated by HSBC Bank in connivance with some private company. I am soon lodging a complaint on this with HSBC Bank or its banking ombudsman and if no satisfactory reply is received, I am thinking to complain it to RBI. I am not sure and do not know if there will be anything positive, but I think we must try not to let this scam happen.
Another irritating aspect is their call center heritage. Most of the time, they do not receive the calls despite phone ringing, and ask in typical Hindi accent and in a very monotonous sound and frequently say 'Haan ji' in Hindi without anything caring about whether the person calling knows Hindi. While customer will be talking in English, they start immediately talking in Hindi, sometimes leaving the customers wondering what she is saying.
Another absolutely disgusting thing about them is that it looks they are shortage of men power or have been crowded with cheap labour in the markets who do not have enough energy to respond calls. Even when phones are ringing, no one picks up the phone and bothers to respond. It happens 9 out of 10 times and this will make a really frustrating experience to you.
We must protest against this corporate scam.

                Dear Sir,

I hold a credit card with HSBC bank and was a good customer . They have billed me with repayment protection fee for continues 3 months( around 500 per month) . No en quires with call center they said that they will reverse it .But even after continuous followups they have not done and stater demanding to pay total bill what ever delay payment charges added later. Last month i have settled the amount with 1500/-( Actual charged amount, and bill reached to around 7000/-) . But when i applied to standard charted bank credit card they informed me that my credit history is not good. This is really unfair. Please suggest me for proper justice so that same should not happen with any credit card customer.

                Thanking you in advance,

On 9th February 2010 I received a call from a Chennai Airtel Landline number 42968930 informing me that I have a credit card with HSBC since 2002. It was news to me since I had never applied for any credit card with that bank nor did have any type of dealing with the bank. Though I was telling him continuously that this is a clear case of fraud, he was not willing to listen and was threatening me like people will come to your house, we will send a legal notice to your current employer etc. When I asked him as to when the card was issued, he said 22nd May 2002. The great irony is I was not in India from Jan 2002 till 2008. The other news he gave me was that I had once made a payment for the usage of card. I could not help laughing. I have called up HSBC and given the details. Does anybody have such an experience. I am writing this on 10th February 2010 and have not heard anything from HSBC officials.

Today [10th Feb 2010] i also got the exact phone call from delhi number. the person on called claimed that he is calling from HSBC. He is claiming that there is a card on name with 4 lack outstanding amount. The card is activated since 2003 and till date i did not make any payment. I am surprised to hear that this person had a lot of detail about me (mail id, address etc.). The fact is that i never had any relationship with HSBC ever and even if there was any suspected fraud then how come never verified in 7 years and telling me today when the outstanding is 4 Lack. After getting the call i searched internet for this issue and found this page. This is a serious fraud.
Please allow me to introduce myself my name is Michael Mason-Mahon and I am a shareholder of HSBC Plc. I am based in London yet I am a very regular visitor to India.

At HSBC Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2010 I did address my concerns with the Board of Directors concerning what HSBC India has been doing and is doing in India to our customers.

Now they will not let me help anymore Indian's. You may wonder why, ask the Chairman of HSBC Plc Mr Flint why.

Please go to this site. This is an interview that I did concerning HSBC.

                        Hi,

HSBC is offering credit cards to customer but it is not providing in Branch Customer service neither is providing any Toll Free number in case ( though many ) of any complaint. When asked about the same they say to speak to the phone banking officer on phone provided in Branch.
They are also charging 100 Rs extra for making credit card payments in cash.

I feel this is wrong mean of making money and harrasing the card holder as we have to pay for visting branch just to speak to the phone banking officer to get so idea (not resolution) on credit card issue.
If we are making cash payment then why we should pay 100Rs extra. When asked they say this is Bank procedure.

I think if a bank cannot provide in person customer service then they should not be allowed to provide such service at all and should be fined accordingly for cheating cutomer as it was not mentioned in the application that if i make payment in cash will be charged 100 Rs extra.

I wish some serious action should be taken against banks to protect customer who is most of the time helpless and have to pay whatever bank charges.

HSBC Bank - Credit Card — Charges on un-used card

I had availed a facility of HSBC Bank Credit Card in 2007 with the promise of free for life (Card no [protected]). During 2007 I had used this card and paid as per statement in time.

Since 2008 mid I have stopped using the card because of some service issue with the Bank. During December 2007 to August 2008 I was shifted from Baroda to Ahmedabad (Gujarat). During this time I have dropped the monthly payment cheque in some of the drop box in Maninagar area of Ahmedabad. These cheques got delayed due to what reason I don’t know. Because of delay from Bank side, they have raised late payment and other charges which I denied to pay.

Due to the above said service issue since 1 ½ year I am not using the said card.

At present the out standing in my account is shown for Rs.10498.06. According to me all these amounts are for late payment charges / finance charges and other charges only. I am ready to pay the amount which HSBC can prove that I have purchased and not paid.

Over and above the monthly statement, recovery officers from New Delhi are calling on my mobile and also on my mobile at home which is with my wife. They are using abusive language and harassing us since last 6/8 months for recoveries. Even they have updated the same on my CIBIL report also which is affecting my credentials.

Again I would like to state that I am ready to pay the amount if any thing is out standing from my side but not the charges as they have charged nor I am ready to pay my hard earned money to settle the same.

Request you to help me as early as possible.

I had HSBC Gold Credit Card for almost 18 years and i had been a very good with the payment, until 2 years, I had major financial problems and i went in for a settlement for the credit card for an amount of Rs.80,000/- and i made a payment of Rs. 60,000/- towards the settlement letter and another 20,000/- after the due date. Unfortunately for my bad luck, i met with an accident (shoulder fracture) and i was completely down at home for 1 years, because of non-payment of balance amount, my credit card settlement as been reversed. Last year, i received calls from call center. When i mentioned the issue and told them that i had made the complete payment, they told me that it is not settlement and if i make a payment of Rs.5,000/-, i will receive a settlement letter in 3 days time, for which i made a payment of Rs. 5,000/-. I made the recovery agent to write on the receipt mentioning about the details, which he did. But unfortunately till today, i have not received the settlement letter. Till today, i have made Rs. 87,400/- towards the credit card. Now, suddenly since last 1 month, they have started to call me up and say that there is a balance of 3.25 lakhs towards my credit card and i need to make the payment. I dont know what to do. Would you guys let me know in details, what are my options and how i can solve this problem.

                          Regards,

                            Hello,

This is in reference to the letter dated 22/01/2010 issued in favour of account # 000000003035943434872 for an overdue payment of INR 19,956.00.
                            Name on Account: Sunil Kanodia

Can you please make an effort to explain me how a post dated cheque already issued in favour of HSBC bank and in HSBC's possession be overdue? Since the cheque is already with HSBC, why did your officials not deposit the cheque in time?

I have received numerous number of calls asking me to send a cheque of the above mentioned amount since it seems that there is an overwriting/misspelling issue in the previous cheque issued by me. Can you please explain how did HSBC make a decision on this rather than depositing the cheque and letting my bank(State Bank Of Indore) take the decision whether the cheque would be cleared or not? What is the reason behind not sending my original cheque and asking for another cheque? Why is it not possible for an international bank like HSBC to send me a VOID copy of the cheque back to me and take the new cheque?

Also, even if the cheque has a spelling mistake why did HSBC not deposit the cheque when I clearly mentioned to all the representatives I have spoken with in the last 10 days spending more than 16 hours of my time that any charges that may incur if my cheque were to bounce would be solely my responsibility? How difficult is it for your representatives to understand such clear instructions and stop harassing a customer who has been continuously making payment for more than 2 years without any bad credit history? Also, when your agent took the cheques from me 2 years back why didn't they make a complete survey of the cheques making sure that they were clean from any mistakes?

I have included CIBIL in this email communication to maintain a record with them as per your mention in the letter about my credit history being emailed to them.

Please revert back with appropriate answers helping me understand HSBC's policy in this matter. I would again suggest you to deposit my cheque # 723566 drawn on State Bank Of Indore and let them take the decision whether the cheque has any issue or not. If this is not possible then send me the original cheque or a void copy of the cheque to obtain a new cheque from me. Also please make a note that I won't be liable to make any late payment charges if you fail to reply in time since if the cheques are in HSBC's custody it is your responsibility to deposit them in time.

If I am still harassed by your representatives, I would be forced to file a lawsuit against HSBC to protect my human rights.

                            Thanks,
                            Sunil Kanodia

I had been using Hsbc credit card 4384..........96 for almost 3 years (with No Annual Fee) without any problem & I was quite happy with Hsbc's service.

Problem started when I received an additional credit card (4384..........51) in Sept06 & I was told that this is also free & no need to pay annual fee. I didn't want this card hence I didn' use it at all but Hsbc sent a monthly statement stating annual fee & service tax. I called their helpline and they assured that I will not receive any further statements with late payment. But I got the statement with these charges in next month & so on with same charges. It continued for 3-4 months during which I again called helpline to remind them but in vain. I continued using my original card for some time & then discontinued it later & there is no outstadning.

Now after almost 2 and half years I started getting calls from Hsbc Delhi for clearing so called outstanding of Rs. 23000 odd (piled up due to late payment fees). Delhi people are calling like crazy & literally harassing me & my family members for wrong outstanding.

Today when I called to their Mumbai helpline to sort out issue they asked me to call on [protected] where I talked to somebody Praveen who was very rude & was not ready to hear me. He had no reply to my below questions,

                              1) How can Hsbc charge for the card sent without asking me?
                              2) Why Hsbc is charging (fees & taxes) for the card which I never used?

I would like to request Hsbc to stop sending the wrong starements & remove so called late payment & service tax charges. I reiterate that I enjoyed using my first Hsbc card for 3 years but Hsbc lost a client like me due to wrong approach to earn profits by sending me unwanted additional card.

I dont mind start using Hsbc card again if charges are removed.

I had credit card no. [protected] of HSBC Bank. I received this card in the month of January’2007. After getting the card I had not received a single statement. When I made my first transaction on this card I was unaware of Billing date and due date. After some days I enquired about my due date from customer care, then I came to know that I’m late, due date of payment was overdue. I paid the amount of my transaction immediately by cheque no. 936836 drawn on Bank of Baroda, which was cleared on 06.12.07. After payment Bank made a call for late fee and interest charges, I told them that I was not aware of my due date that’s why my payment was late and I requested to waive these charges. I told that not providing the statement at right time is your fault, so I’m not liable to pay any unfair charges. But Bank increased that charges every month. I sent my card back to you. Then I received a call from your Head office that I waived all charges levied on you and now Bank send a new card to you please use it as new card. I received a card again in the month of February’2008 and made a transaction of Rs. 20000/- and paid by Cheque No. 949328 drawn on Bank of Baroda which was cleared on 05.04.2008. I paid my dues before due date. After the transaction I received my first statement in which all old charges demanded again, I did not paid that unfair charges and same as previous charges increased by time. Finally on 25.09.2008 I cut the card in four pieces and sent it again after writing many letters to the bank. In the month of February’2009 I came to know that my CIBIL profile has been made negative by the bank. Bank told me nothing about this. Please solve this matter as soon as possible.

                                  Hello Sir/Madam,

I am Mr. Mangesh Shingare & my HSBC Card No. is 4476 xxxx xxxx 1915.
I m using this card for last 2 years or more.

I was regular payer of the bills of my all cards including ICICI, & HDFC also which i am using till now.

I had not received the bill statement for HSBC since November 2008.

After that neither I used this card nor I received a bill statement for the same.

Then I got call from payment recovery agency of HSBC bank on 2nd weeks of November 2009 when I was in Delhi.

That lady from the payment recovering agency told me that my payment of HSBC bank is pending for past one year.

She also had a track of my HDFC card payment. She found that my HDFC payment is going regularly but HSBC payment was due for one year.

I told her that I have not received the bills. Moreover I have not use this card for more than 12 months.

I check my details of that particular month from her. I came to know that Rs.1800.00
was pending in the month of November 2008 as the final installment of insurance policy of TATA AIG.

Then she offered me a the settlement of this card at the payment of Rs. 2,525.00.
As I was in delhi, it was not possible to collect letter from her.
I asked her to send the SMS confirmation that my card due will be Nil & card will activated if I will make a payment of Rs. 2525.00 for this card.

She sent me SMS & I asked my office assistance to make the payment of Rs. 2525.00 to HSBC bank. I have done the payment on 15th November 09 & which got credited to HSBC bank on 18th November 2009.

One month after the payment, I started receiving call from HSBC call centre for minimum payment due. I called the payment recover agency & concerned person told me that in the next month my card will be settled to nil as my december month bill was generated on 16th November 09 (My payment of Rs. 2525 was credited on 18th November).

I was waiting for the same. After a one month, there was no change in my card bill statement.

Customer care person of HSBC keep on calling me every day. I sent them all details.

I have given them the phone no of that agency & cell nos. of that concern person.
But, HSBC customer care officer told me that they can't consider this as settlement as I don't have any letter from HSBC.

Now, I need following clarifications from bank:
                                  a. I don't have letter, but I have SMS from the cell no of payment recovery agency. HSBC officers are calling everyday. But why can't they make a single call to the agency to whom they have given authority to follow up with the people to collect the payment?

                                  b. After 1st January 10, these bank officers are calling me every day. But why was there no phone call or payment reminder on my cell from December 2008 to December 2009. Are they waiting for reach late fee & finance charges to Rs. 6000.00?

                                  c. Is it the new way to cheat the customer? 1st of all don't deliver the bills to that address for many month. Then make settlement through the agency with false promises. After that harass the customer on technical reason & ask them for one more settlement?

I even told them that if I had to cheat them then I would have spent Rs. 25000.00 & not just Rs. 1,800.00.

I have sent nos of email to HSBC customer care & HSBC nodal officer. But there was no proper reply from them.

Today also I phoned the agency before writing this mail. But that lady was on leave for the day. Her colleague told that the card will be settled if I have paid the amount told by her.

What are the legal procedure I should follow?
To whom I should sent the notice?

Kindly sent your suggestion or advice.

                                  Regards,

hsbc, credit card — harresing the customer

I had an HSBC card no[protected],which was forced on me by hsbc officials, which i was reluctant to use ,but i kept it unused for 3 yrs as it was free of any charges. Then i starting using it though not as my primary card. The dues were always paid on time. The bank was supposedly happy with my timely payment and subsequently upgraded my card to a platinum card. My last transaction was Rs.83,409.58p,which as usual i paid on time but the bank some how charged me late fee and some other charges. On grounds of principal, i refused to pay as i was not at fault.I tried speaking to bank officals who were very rude to me and refused to hear me out. Now the tables have turned. They have accumulated the interest charges which have mounted upto Rs.10,000 for surely no error of mine. Now i am not interested in hearing them . Their incessant calls are harressing me as i refuse to narrate their inefficiency repeatedly to each of their officials. This situation has been created by them and they themselves need to rectify it. Why are they calling me ? Please help.
Sir, I have cancelled two hsbc cards recently, details being [protected] & [protected].After getting my transfer from Delhi to Cochin, immediately I, ve contacted cus.care and informed the change of address.Still I was not getting statements on time.It will reach me via Delhi and that too by the time it reaches me, late fee must have been due.As a result I had to waste lot of money. Finally I contacted the Bank and requested for closure of the cards.Still I, m getting lot of phone calls, may be from your collection people, but it has really become a nuisance to me in answering those calls.Kindly give instructions to all concerned that these cards have been closed and importantly send me your closure letter. Now only one card remains [protected] that also I would like to close.Pl give me a closure letter.Already I have paid huge amounts towards late fee.So kindly wave off those late fees and give a final amount so that I can close in one shot.Thanks.
                                  Regards,
                                  A.Shekhar (Mob : [protected]).

At HSBC Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2010 I did address my concerns with the Board of Directors concerning what HSBC India has been doing and is doing in India to our customers.

I may be able to help you. I can assure you that I will do all that I can to help you. I have been very successful in the people that I have taken up their cases with HSBC. Now they will not let me help anymore Indian's. You may wonder why, ask the Chairman of HSBC Plc Mr Flint why.

Please go to this site. This is an interview that I did concerning HSBC.

If customers UNITE in India and decide to leave HSBC India in support of their fellow Indian's, who are making complaints about HSBC India then this may make HSBC Plc take action.
They talk about their Global Footprint and their Integrity. Please look at the following sites and see what the Indian people are saying about HSBC behaviour towards them.

I have a credit card of hsbc for the last three years. Till date i have not defaulted in payments for the amt which i have used. I pruchase some item and convert the same into EMI and pay the amt every month promptly by cash. However I had to go out of station for my office purpose and I have asked my friend to make the payment till november What ever the amt that i have to pay I used to get SMS and the due date and I paid the amt promptly . In december when i went to make the payment I saw that hsbc is charging cash payment for credit card of rs 100.00 which was a shock to me. when i checked with the call center and checked my statements i have been charged for 4 times of cash payment charges. I have clearly informed that i was unaware of this and have asked for reversal( which was for the first time in this). they customer care executive including the service manager were very rude and did not even bother to understand the cm situtation but only kept on telling that they cannot reverse the amt. they never tried to understand my situtation. Pl help and make sure that the officers first understand the cm situtation and then act

HSBC Credit Card — HSBC Credit Card Charges

I am working with Bally Technology, Bangalore. Initially we had a salary account with HSBC. That time we offered a Credit card from HSBC with NO CHARGES whatsoever due to "special tie up" between Bally and HSBC Bank, India. I got a Credit card for self, also, an add on card was provided "free of charge".

I opted for the card as it was free and carried no liability. The subject of membership fees was not mentioned by the agent.

No calls came to me from HSBC and no SMS.As I do not use credit card, the card remained unused.

Since, I don't use the card, i never bothered to look into the e-statements that came to my email address.

Suddenly in 2009, 16 months after the card was issued, I get a SMS that i am liable to pay around 2000 Rs. When i ring up the call center they say the charges are Membership charges along with the late fees for card.

The agent advised me to call the collection center. When called the collection center, they told me to call back the Call center. I repeated the whole story again to the agent, I was put on hold for 15 minutes with no response. They threw their hands in air and said they cant do anything.

The company never bothered me to inform that I was being charged. Also, what happened to the special tie up and special customer thing.

HSBC Credit Card — Cash Payment Fee

I came to know from Credit card statement that they have charged for cash payment which i have made for bill pay.

it means we need to pay according to there norms
