I was being charged 33.3% p.a for my personal loan , in order to save
some money i decided to settle my loan and done it so , now i was
panic about my financial records ,because i am very much worried that these bank peoples would have given my name in cibil and i want to know that am i eligible to take any further loans in any other banks.

I have taken a personal loan from HSBC.
Loan Amt: 200000
Intrest: 16.25.
Period : 48 months.
My EMI : 5694/-.

Now they have increased my tenture to 49 months.49 EMI is about 860 rupees.

They are saying its a spill over?
Can you help me why this has happened??Can bank collect more than 48 months EMI?
No they can't change your original signed agreement. If you don't have a copy, ask them to send you a copy of your CCA (Consumer Credit Agreement). If you have not signed anything for them to change the payments to 49 months then they can't legally do it.

    I have written mail to HSBC that i have cancelled their crdit card last 2 year back and i am written to email to [protected]@hsbcbank.co.in & [protected]@hsbc.co.in stating the same, I have been getting harresment and vungulr calls at my residence numbers in the night from a PCO in Delh also from a some Delhi Number[protected]

    They have used very vulgur language to my mother and my wife, my mother is a senior citizen and having major health problem the calls have been made by a person in the dead night althogh the number is from delhi he says he is calling from Pakistan when i ask the person name he uses vulgur language and abuses, I am in the process of filling an NC with the Police station and sending a notice to the bank.

    As per me when i canceleld my credit card due to very bad services like late recipt of statement, overcharging and no response on the call. i had cleared all my payments two years back, they are now saying that they have taken all the past years interest and annual fees and asking money.

    My family is tranmatised of calling and abusing, they person calling give all kind of bad words.

    I agree to the above complaint.
    I had HSBC credit card, I went for settlement of the card and paid the complete amount in the month of Nov'08, even today I get a call from HSBC asking me to pay the balance amount with interest.
    Last week I recieved a call from HSBC (I think main branch), they were very patient in listening to my issue and they asked for the reference number for clearing the dues through settlement of the card, luckily I had the duly signed letter from HSBC bank and I provided them with all the details after that I did not receive any call from HSBC bank.

    I am still disappointed as my name has been sent to CBIL (inspite of opting for a settlement) any idea how to come out of this situation?

    H.S.B.C — credit card harrasment

    Ihave settled my HSBC credit card ([protected] ) as on 9 th june 2009 through cheque by their Collection agency.I have the settlement letter from their bank and i am attaching this one with this mail. After this i don't know that how H.S.B.C bank can send a bill (attached herewith)after settlement?

    HSBC Credit Card — Harrasment by HSBC credit card

    Dear Sir/Madam
    I had made a payment through HSBC credit card on 27th March for Rs 38000/- but i have not received the statement nor any written intimation from the bank for payment when i had receive the call from the bank i immediately made the payment vide cheque number 080544 for Rs 38000/- now the HSBC credit card is harrassing me to pay Rs4927.85/- more towards charges which are unecessary .

      Dear sir/madam

      I just want to know if there is any chance or way to make my name out of the defaulters list in CIBIL. I made full payament of my credit card bills on 21/8/2008 and got NO Dues letters also from Bank.

      But still my name is relecting in CIBIL. As per Bank comitment they have to remove the name from CIBIL with 60 days after after getting the whole payment.

      I made the whole payment and asked Bank to closed the card permanently so that nothing would relect in future.

      SO, I request you to help me with a way, advise or suggestion (if any) to make my name out of CIBIL's defaulters list for ever.

      I would appreciate if you can please help me with the best solution or reply to my problem.

        I have received almost 50 calls since last 4 weeks on balance transfer offer. I have repeatedly told I don't need the offer but still I keep getting calls.

        Its just very frustrating and bank does not have any value for the customer's time. Imagine 50 calls in 4 weeks. I have spoken to senior team members of the team who keeps calling but still no use. STILL I KEEP GETTING CALLS

          My name is Aastha Relhan. I live in Australia and i want to share my experience and ask you is that fair. Let me explain who first what happened first. I transfered a sum of Aus $2026 from BankSA to state bank of paitala one month ago. Banksa says they wanted ifsc code from me My dad is also working a bank said that this happens when bank tanrsfers the money in the wrong bank neways leave that for now, for month i had no answer from either BankSA and HSBC where is the money suddenly one day BANKSA Says they are returning my money and returned my money with Aus $250 deducted from it when asked they had no answer they said this what we got back from HSBC and this is what we returning on insisting they said we will ask HSBC about this now they says HSBC have deducted this money for the reason that the a/c does not exist now i dont understnd 2 things here if the a/c number was wrong bankSA or HSBC should have enquired about this with me thus the transction was processed why the money has been deducted then. Secondly there was nothing of this sort told to me that even if the money comes back you will be charged money, which is not my fault. I would have not sent the money, now as your moral duty i think you should get at the bottom of this problem and get my money refunded as this is not correct. It is my hard eaned money for which i have worked day and night.

            Please note I was holding HSBC Gold Credit Card [protected] (Issued from Mumbai Branch) in name of Subhash Nair . I couldn't pay the overdue amount on card for long time and ultimately paid the whole amount of Rs 63, 000. I I got a credit card closure letter from HSBC as well.


            It's been two years but my name still appears in CIBIL defaulter list. Recently I applied for credit card and same got rejected due to CIBIL listing. Am not getting my housing Loan approved due to similar issue.

            I called customer care/collection department many times but all show inability to rectify this issue.

            Please Help.

              i am ajit saini.i was a honest customer of hsbc credit card (credit card no-[protected]) for two years.Earliar there was no anual charge but in sep 09 i got bill of 700 hundred as anual charge.imediatly i requested customer care to stop my credit card service.customer care executive gave me request no[protected] and told me sevice wil stop in 5 to 6 days.after september i got no bill and no call from bank.but i got calls from hsbc bank to pay outstanding payment in january.i told them about service stop request but they are calling frequently and harassing me.they are intimiting me about court case.
              so please stop calling and harassment.

              HSBC Credit Card — Harassment by HSBC people

              I took a HSBC Credit card last year from a HSBC Agent. It was a gold card with a limit of ~55000 Rs. On 21st August 2008, when i was working in my office, somebody stole my credit card from my purse and misused it. He/She used the entire credit limit with in 2 hrs.. and i got a call from HSBC head office and they asked me if I made all these purchases. I said "No, I am in office since morning". HSBC Executive told me that i should immediately go and file a DDR/FIR and i will not be liable for this amount as it's a cheating case. I left my office and went to the nearest police station and reported the incident. They filed a DDR and told me to collect it the next day.

              I called up HSBC people again and asked for the Merchant's names from where this person has made the purchases in the hope that i may get some clues about criminal's identity. Accordingly, I went to "Sidhu service station" where this person has got petrol filled in his vehicleand asked for any receipt. They showed me a receipt where in they noted down this person's vehicle number. Also, the signature on the credit card receipt was not matching my signatures.

              After few days, as guided by HSBC executive, I went to HSBC bank Chd branch and filled their complaint form with a copy of DDR and a letter to Head with the incident details. Till this time, i was hearing the same thing from the executives that it's a cheating case and company will do the investigation and i will not have to pay the amount.

              After few days, I started getting threatning calls from HSBC bank and also from their recovery department. They used abusive language with me and told me to go to the bank and pay all the amount to them. I told them that it's a cheating case and i have sent a complaint letter for the same to bank already. I called HSBC bank many times to inquire about the status of my complaint but never got a substantial response from their side..

              Now after 3 months, they are calling my father everyday and threating him that they have sent 2 summons (which we never received) and now they will come to my home and arrest me or else i pay all the money to them which i never spent. Being a girl, I am very scared and even my family is.

              HSBC Credit Card — Complaint regarding the payment

              Sir,
              I am Neha Mehta and I am the UN-privileged customer of HSBC credit card. My card details are :- [protected]

              I hereby want to state that I am being constantly harassed by some of the people from your office and being forced to make a payment of charges that I haven't incurred.
              It all started as follows...
              As a part of your promotional offers I was offered some Insurance Scheme when i was given the card by your agents, which I had flatly refused.
              But due to the incompetence of your staff, I was still charged for the scheme. I called up customer care to enquire and was asked to make the payment once and assured that they would cancel the scheme. I made payment of Rs 700 /- for the first month.
              But the same continued for the next month and I was again forced to pay RS. 700/-.
              This is a really appalling service from a bank of such huge repute.
              All was quiet for a long time and now, after so many months they are forcing me to make an outstanding payment of 4400/- Rs or else they will file a police complaint against me.

              This kind of service and threat is totally uncalled for and I want the concerned authorities to take coznisance of this issue. I would appreciate if this matter is resolved immediately else I would be forced to take stringent steps against this harassment.
              Sir,
              My hsbc card numb[protected], had bill payment of Rs 881, which payment was done within due time & still company has put late charges & been harassing of late charge && once complaint was noticed to the company & they had reversed late fees && now all the sudden they have put late fee amount which is injustice done to us .now they deny of any reversal amount.
              I had applied for HSBC credit card last year 2008, with in few day there was call from Hsbc If I want to clear my other bank credit card payment
              I told yes & with in few day I received Rs.3000/- cheque & bill of 3000+500++500+800( insurance tata aig) .
              I immediatly called to your call center & came to know that I made mistake, when asked I dont want this cheque (of 3000/-) they told me
              to surrender cheque to local HSBC brach, They also promise me total charges will be deduted but not the 800/- which is for insurance of TATA AIG

              Finally I surrender cheque of Rs3000/- & credit card to Borivali branch

              Next bill I received with 800+ other charges, I again call to yrs center they promised me that Next bill will be proper
              But now the bill reached above 4000/- without using CARD,
              ONE fine mornig there was call from YOUR HSBC DELHI branch ( DURGA SHARMA Tel:[protected] saying that she is calling from recovery department
              & we r ready to do settelment .I told her to send me settlement letter But she cheated me by saying its not possible for her to send settlement letter untill I pay the amount of Rs.2150/-
              I told her again I need some confermation, I was unaware that Durga sharma is cheating & I made the payment on 15th april 2009
              Untill know I have not received any letter of settelement from HSBC nor Durga sharma is avialable on phone
              today i recievd bill saying receivd Rs.2150 & pay the balance amount asearly
              Please help me Or I will approach Ombudsman

              HSBC Bank — Phone harrsement on credit card payment

              I had a HSBC Credit card in the year 2000. According to me I have repaid the money and closed the card. After 9 years now, there are threat calls from Delhi both on my landline number and mobile number. The caller says that he knows my mother, wife and childrens names. He also threatened that he will send his people to my house. I donot have any record of the card because it is more than 9 years old. The caller says that I owe Rs.24000 against the card.

              Myself, Parag has being receiving a phone call from HSBC delhi, by name Sonu Upadhay, tel[protected] about some outstanding amount. but i had closed by HSBC credit card 2 and half year ago. i think this is fraud person who is making this call. I had confirmed with hsbc there is no outstanding due amount in my name.

              HSBC — Customer Harassment

              Dear sir,

              HSBC is one of the worst credit card company i have ever dealt with

              I was issued a Credit Card from the 1st statement i was charged with late payments.I complianed to customer care about either reversing the same or else cancelling my credit .

              I told them it was cancelled but they do not have a record on the transation.

              Suddenly on 11th jan2010, i got call from one Rahul from landline no. [protected] about settling the account.

              He confirmed those were wrong charges asked.

              He again started calling me repeatedly on 12th jan2010 time and when i told him to put the phone down, he started misbehaving and started using philthy language .
              I request for settling my dispute, when i never used this card for any transaction & bank seems to be unnecessary trouble innocent people thru' ill mannered exectives, who do n't even know, the way to behave in service industry .
              Strict action should be taken againt people like Rahul, to avoid harassment for people like us.

              HSBC — Harrashment

              Due to change of Job I could not pay money in time on 10 of Jan, hence I got call after 4 days for the same to deposit the money, I have asked them to send the executive to my address I will handover the cheque to him. They have sent the executive for the collection of cheque which I have given. The same cheque was cleared after 2-3 days. What happed on 25th Jan again there is auto debit from my account. For this I have contacted to bank, they have said that the money will be given back to you in terms of money trasfer or demand draft.
              But as today I have not received any money from bank.
              When I give call to them they disconnect the phone saying that there is no such loan account number.
              My BP going high day by day with this pressure.

              I too got call today, 29th March, 2010, at around 10:45 AM, from this person Rahul who said that he is calling from HSBC. His number was [protected]. He told me about my 2yrs old transaction of around Rs13000/- that I did using HSBC credit card. He blamed me that I never made payment. But I remembered that I had already made the payment and I am not using the card as I was abroad and my card currently is expired. I straight away denied him. Then he started using filthy langauge and threatened me that he will pick me up from my house and kill me. I finally had to cut the phone. He called me again and then the same thing happend. I called the HSBC helpdesk and asked them to confirm about the status of my credit card account. They said that all my dues are clear and nothing outstanding is pending with me and my current account status is closed. I suspect either it is likage of data from HSBC side or if they really using these FILTHY agents the I can see could could be the future of this bank... Has someone yet booked a complaint with POLICE?

                I have subscribed to Tata AIG Policy no BTHC[protected] & BTHC[protected] which i reqested to cancell the policy over phone to HSBC helpline nos. as i tried several times to Tata Aig but there lines remained busy. But to my surprise i found the prmium charged in my last bill due on 15th March,10. I have given several mails to cancell as well as spoke over phone to HSBC helpline and they confirmed that they will respond back within 2 working days, but no one is responding. There is also mail several times that they will respond within 2 working days but no one is responding.

                Pl lodge my complaint and take strict action with such banks so that customers are not harrased again and again. There may be list of long such cases with you, but how you still allow such banks to run this unfair means of business. Kindly solve the issue at the earliest.

                  Then I asked, why didn't they call me.

                  I don't know what is really happening.

                      I was holding the HSBC credit card (4384 xxxx xxxx 8592) with the name NAROTTAM SINGH but currently it is expired (expiry date 10/08 ). I haven't received the new card. Also I haven't used the card since then as it was expired and cleared the whole amount before i stopped using it. But i am getting the calls from HSBC credit card dept that there is some outstanding balance remaining on credit card. HSBC has levied the annual charges of Rs 2000.00 by itself and then incremented charges as well and then asking me to pay the outstanding bill.

                      I am writing mails to HSBC to cancel my card and revert all the changes and they are asking to pay the bill for which i haven't any services.

                      Requesting HSBC to stop these practice and befooling the customers.

                        I had taken a loan with HSBC for which I was paying an EMI of 1998 per month. The loan had got over in the month of Feb, and post that i have a received a letter of an outstanding of Rs 329 in my account. The logic explained by HSBC was they have received the payment late and over a period of time this due has accured. I feel this is a clear case of cheating and harrasment and mopping up revenues as the ECS dates were finalised by the Bank themselves.

                        I had taken loan form HSBC bank in year 2007(Loan amt. 1,55,000 EMI:-7665) for the duration of two years. My loan ammount was deducted through ECS and completed sucessfully without any late payment on oct 2009 as per the shedule given to me by the bank itself. Now bank is demaning for Rs. 540 more for closing the loan and providing me the clearence letter.

                        Now on daily basis i am getting a call from there collection department I asked them to provide the statement becouse i want to check why the ammount is pending even after making all payment at time they are not proving the same also and only demanding for the money.

                        I am very much frustrated from the bank behavior. Pls. help me out.

                            It is evident that Your bank is twice deposited my cheque for my ECS payment on 2nd may and 10th may 2008. The cheque was bounced back and Rs. 200 was deducted from my account twice. Totaly Rs. 400 was deducted.

                            Please note that I paid my EMI amount on 09.05.2007 itself in cash, collected through Sri Balaji Enterprises (customer copy No. PCFI 0419955) Authorised collection firm No.0008400.

                            So it is evident that there is a confusion in collection the EMI amount at your End, which makes me to lose my money. So I need a explanation from your end and also you have to compensate me for this.

                            4.5 Years back I was opted personal loan from HSBC bank, Mumbai. I paid 18 moths EMI as per my eligibility. But after 18 months, due to some family financial problem I was not able to pay EMI next 4 to 5 months. But after some times, I was interacted with Banker regarding the repayments my whole outstanding amt against my personal loan. Regarding this I visited Umang Tower & I meet Ms. Mittal Kamdar & Ms. Priya More, as per discussion with these guys, my total outstanding amount is 38500/- suppose to pay then my loan account is close otherwise no. then I decided to pay whole outstanding amount after discussed with Mittal Kamdar & the same has been paid (Amt – 38500/-) on 08/09/2009 & handed over to Ms. Mittal Kamdar.
                            After I paid total outstanding amount I got the closing letter after two days from HSBC Bank.
                            After some times I got the letter on 29/10/2009 regarding the pending outstanding amt, then I called in Mittal Kamdar as per discussed with her, she said that pls. ignore letter which was you received & your loan account has been closed and also I confirmed with Customer care number & found the same result.
                            After some times, again I got the letter that your outstanding amt pending on 25/05/2010 & 23/12/2010. Every letter I got 7 months difference.
                            As per above description, if I paid whole outstanding amount after discussed with Bank then why bank sending me outstanding letters & said that yr amt 4675/- pending. When I decided to pay whole amount then firstly I confirmed with Bank regarding the repayment amount (Ms. Mittal Kamdar & Ms. Priya More) then I was paid Rs. 38500/-
                            Sir I don’t understand why not inform to me when I was paying the whole amount. I was paid whole amount & the loan has been closed from Bank not settle. And if some mount is pending then why noy inform to me by bank that some other amount is pending. If bank inform me I really pay the amt at time paid total outstanding amount. After some years, if bank said that Mr. rajesh some amount is pending from yr side then how can possible.
                            As per attachment, I have closing letter & received which was received from HSBC bank when I paid.

                            In that condition, why bank sending letter, if they are sending its mean HSBC doing fraud with customers, that first take the money from customers and then backend they not closed the loan account & put the request as settlement option. In that case after some times customers are getting frequently letter regarding the due amount. In that case whole trust is lost on Bank.
                            If I have loan closing letter & receipt against total outstanding amount then in what reason yoy not closed the account.
                            I tried lot to resolve the same but no body help me in that case.

                              Hi,

                              I am holding HSBC credit card since one year. I have a very bad experience with this bank.

                              The bank has incorrectly charge me anual fee on add on card when i am not holding any add on card.This is also confirmed by the customer care that this fee is charged incirrectly and it will be reversed in next statement. i am following since two months to get his amount reversed.

                              more over the bank has charged late payment fee on my card when i hold my payment due to incorrect charge as it is mentioned in the banks credit card policy that the card holder need to hold the payment if they have any complain on any of the transaction done by bank.

                              Now i want to cancell the card by paying all the outstanding amount except the incorrect changed amount but he bank is not taking cancellation request. The bank is harasing me on call.

                              Please help.

                                Hi I was using HSBC credit card ' [protected] ": from 2004 to 2006 , and since hardly used this card called for Cancellation of Card in 2006. And looks like they ignored my request and I don't have any proof to claim :(((

                                After 4 years i.e 2010 I applied for Home Loan from AXIS and the bank people raised the complaint that., there is 'Written Off' status in Credit Report (but they have not revealed the Name of Credit Card Comp) against my name and finally some how they sanctioned the loan. !

                                When I requested from CIBIL report. there it is mentioned that, the due amount is ZERO and status :Written Off on HSBC card.

                                Immediately I called the HSBC people multiple times . they given different answers to question like:
                                "When the due amount is Rs 0.00 why the HSBC set my status as : Written Off. they could not give a right answer."

                                And as per the Card., the expiration of Card is May 2006 , but HSBC people saying that., the expiration of date of the same is: 2009 as per their account., but the CIBIL report contains the same number what I am holding right now(with out use).with expire date as May 2006!!!!

                                How this is possible!!??

                                And since I wants to change the status on CIBIL report , HSBC Collection department.people said. 'once the outstanding amt is cleared , they can close the status with in 45 days' provided they have to request for Outstanding till-date and so they requested me to call next day.

                                The next day when I called they mentioned it as: Rs.22,093 by mentioning that the interest was added on the due amount of Rs.8,000 (the due amount at that point of time) till today (From Aug 2006 -till March 8 2010). Then I asked for statement of Proof , they said like they can not issue any statement. !!!! and asked me to go to ATM and deposit the cheque of the same amount.

                                So I deposited the cheque today for amount of Rs22,100/-, as I am going for House Loan again.

                                There is lot confusion reg: following points
                                1) They don't have answer for - why the status is 'Written Off' when the due amount is zero in CIBIL report

                                2) As per the Card I still hold without use (mentioned in CIBIL) the expiration date is May 2006. Why it is reflecting as '2009' as per their accounts!!!

                                3) When they are saying Rs 8,000/- was my due amount at that point of time. why it is not reflecting in the account as well as in CIBIL report.

                                4) When the collection dept raised a request for Outstanding amount till today for an amount of Rs.22,093/--- upon my request, why they can not issue a statement and where is the proof for me to see how the amount has been calculated...?

                                This is very pathetic state of affairs.and miserable condition I am feeling.

                                      Hi,

                                      I had a credit card # [protected] of HSBC bank. I did not use the card much as already had one from hdfc. So, could use it for couple of times only. To pay the bill for the same I went to sec 18 Noida branch and paid the full amount. After 3 to four months I tried to use the card and it did not work and HSBC customer care told me the card is closed due non usage. I went to the Branch at sec-18 again to get it clarify. No one in the bank or in brance listened to me. I waited for 3-4 hours there. Finally I asked them to close it completely and send me the final statement. They agreed to it but they never sent the final statement. Neither I received any call from HSBC after that. I called customer care and asked them to send me the statement. But they never sent it.

                                      Last month I applied for a personal loan from HDFC and the file was rejected as HSBC has marked me defaulter for not paying 100rs due on my card. I immediately called HSBC care and asked them to check my final payment, which was made at the branch. But asked me to 100rs more, which was never sent to me in the statement. To get rid off it I made the payment through my HDFC cheque. Cheque is cleared today and I am again asking them to send me NOC on my card as they have marked me defaulter. HSBC customer ([protected]) said, they cannot help and asked me to call collection department at [protected]. I called on the same number, spoke to Shweta. She was not ready to help me, she did not give anyone's number and said she has forwarded the request for which she cannot give me the request number. Even after telling her my situation she did not help. Neither she gave me any office address to visit & collect the NOC. I have been dealing with HDFC/ICICI/SBI for more than 10 years and never faced any problem.

                                      I feel that I have made the biggest mistake of my life by taking a card from HSBC. Their slogan says "WORLD'S LOCAL BANK" But it is the WORST BANK I EVER DELT WITH.

                                      Hope the Cosumer court will tame these chaters and help me to get rid of them. Please help me to receive the NOC on HSBC Card.

                                      I have found that the Bank has failed to comply with the RBI and the Banking Ombudsman Rules and Regulation in the handling of complaints. Also in all the complaints that I have personally handled there was no evidence that the Bank had informed the complainants of their right to take their complaint to the Banking Ombudsman which the Bank was obliged to do under the RBI rules and regulations.

                                      What I have found that even when the complaint went to the Nodal Officer, they were asked by the Nodal Officer to wait five days to investigate further, only to never receive no more contact.

                                      These are some of the allegation being made against HSBC Collection Department that they have used verbal threats, intimidation and even blackmail to force people into settling so called charges and the miss-use of CIBIL. These are my personal beliefs and I do have to state this for Legal reasons.
                                      When HSBC has had a formal request for all information concerning the complainant, they have refused to give the information. So much for fair play


                                      If you would like to help we need you to address a letter to the Prime Minister’s of India and the United Kingdom asking for an investigation into HSBC’s BEHAVIOUR in INDIA.

                                        Dear Sir,
                                        I had a HSBC credit card. In the mean my address got changed and after several follow-ups I did not get the statement in my new address. then after few months I got a call for settlement and I paid the amount. Still they have registered my name in cibil as a result I am not getting a home loan.
