On 16 Sep 2014, i brought brand new HP 15-r014tx Notebook PC @ 45, 000 Rs. Suddenly on 20 Nov 2015, while opening i found its left hand sided display back cover gave a noise. while inspecting i found small crack in that cover, immediately i rush to HP indranagar service center (Jabil), Bangalore for repairing. There customer care executive told me that its left hand sided Display back cover screw mount is damage. When i asked him how its happened as i am staying alone plus using laptop once in a week and there is no physical damage in it then he replied that this is mounted in plastic body and its happened sometime automatically also. While inspecting he disassembled the display panel while reassembling that small crack become bigger as the material become loose. He raised my complain ([protected]-471) and give me a quotation of Rs 8, 880 on 08 Dec 2015. when i asked him why he charged so high for a plastic and screw mounting, he replied me that the whole display back cover panal is going to change as this individual parts is not available alone. On 11 Dec 2015, i got a call from customer care and they told me to come to service center alone with laptop as demanded spare is now available with them. Around 5 pm, i handed over my laptop to customer care executive, after 10 min he called and told me that hinge is also damaged along with Display back cover screw mount. So hinge is also required to change. when i asked him why they don't project this issue earlier then he told me that this is a fresh damaged. when i asked him about it quotation then he told me its around 8000 Rs. which is really shocking for me as instead of spending 17, 000 Rs on repairing, its better to buy a new laptop.'
there are few question of mine to HP:
(1) Once a screw mount is damage then Why your engineer told me to change the whole body. Why don't you change those parts independently.
(2) Why you hire such type of engineer who don't able to recognize overall damage at one time.
(3) HP Demands me 17000 Rs for repairing 2 parts only, i don't understand why HP spare parts are so costly...
More while raising my case id, they demanded me Rs 350 which they didn't give me back even now also.

thanx for giving so fast response in term of resolving my issue. Now, i m happy with work done by HP staff especially to Mr. Biraja Prasad Bidhar and Ms Praveen.
