Recently i have opened my salary (Zero balance account) account in icici bank. I also got normal debit card. But today i received a mail that "your request for expression debit card is registered". I don't remember of requesting it. I also got mail like charges for expression debit card will be debited from my account. Moreover i am not in need of services of that card.
Please help me to cancel that request as i don't want any expression debit card.

    lien marked on bank account without any intimation before due date

    Hi team,

    I wish to lodge a complaint against icici bank for marking a lien on my savings bank account for total amount due without any prior intimation whatsoever for the recovery of credit card dues. This lien has been marked on my account 01 day before the payment due date which is 11th september.

    I was enrolled in a moratorium until july 31st (Attached reference). August's statement was generated with a due...

        Have taken a term insurance plan of 1 crore (Icici prulife i-protect smart # xxxxxxxx) from icici on 31 dec 18 online. Monthly emi for said policy is rs 1156 that is due on the last date of every month. I have been paying all the emi via bhim sbi app or internet banking since 31 dec 18. After a few months i contacted icici prulife customer care for an auto debit facility for emi. They told me to link my debit card/ credit card with said policy by myself via online login. I did the same and linked my sbi debit card for auto debit before 18 month approx.

        After the debit card linked with my icici policy on 30 th of every month i used to get a message that your emi is deducted from the debit card. But after 3 days i used to get a message that my emi was not deducted and i have to pay the same by any means. I used to pay the same by bhim sbi app. This was a routine of every month.

        Not even a single emi was deducted automatically from my debit card. Then i queried from icici prulife cc. They replied that sbi debit card has no facility for auto deduction of emi if linked with icici policy. For that i need to link credit card of any bank or any card of icici bank with said policy. Then i didn't link any other cards with said policy. After a few months my debit card got u/s, so i deactivated and blocked my debit card (Before10 month approx) myself online on sbi site. Another side same routine was being followed up by icici, i. E. On 30th a message of emi deducted and after 3 days not got money and i used to pay the same by bhim app.

        As usual on 30th aug 20 a message from prulife came that emi deducted and after 3 days a message stating that emi not deducted. As usual i logged into bhim app and wished to pay the emi, but here a dishonour charge of rs 1050 also was charged in my policy. I stopped myself and inquired from prulife cc. They told that your emi did not deduct via debit card issues so this dishonour charge is levied.
        I then wrote mail on 5 sep 20 to icici prulife stating that when you don't have a facility with sbi debit card then how can you fine dishonour?. They replied on 8 sep 20 and also made the same cock and bull story and stated that i have to pay dishonour charge that cannot be vanished/ honoured.
        In view of the above following is requested:
        From icici prulife - kindly resolve the issue with genuinity and humanity (
        From sbi - icici prulife has told me to contact sbi for the same. Kindly initiate from your end and look into. My sbi sb account # xxxxxxxx.

        From rbi - kindly enquire into and resolve the issue. It's not a case of a single man. Lacs of people are being looted by stating/using wrong methods by online companies. Kindly instruct icici prulife for a genuine emi.

          I have made part payment 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees May 30th 2020. So many times visited Boduppal branch for process my request and ti reduce the loan EMI. till now not happened, in online portal also complained 3 times but no response. Today so many times follow up, now after 4 months they are telling show me your company id card otherwise we will send back your amount. If we delay one day they will collect late fee extra charges everything, but from their side no response.

            An american express icici bank credit card has been pushed to me by the relationship manager, without giving me a choice of cards. This card does not have a zero cost emi available. I have tried it twice at retailers.

            Now, i had a due of rs 907/-. The payment of which got delayed by 5 days. They have imposed a fine of rs 500/- plus gst total rs 600/-.

            I have been asking for a waiver, however it is not forthcoming from them.
            Sr[protected] and sr[protected].

            This is the first time it has happened and now i have set it to automatic deduction.

            The rm's number has also changed and is not contactable. The online help of icici bank interms of helping customers is not upto the mark.

              I opened an insta savings account online after uploading necessary documents and pan number during account opening process. I was happy to open my savings account online without any hassel and even opened an online trading account. I transferred amounts from my other bank account to icici savings account and when tried to send it to my icici direct account, i found my account is blocked/frozen.

              My account is blocked/frozen and i am unable to do any transactions and missed my regular financial commitments and suffering acute financial troubles with this account. Per my relationship manager's advise, i went to main branch in erode but the branch is closed as two of the bank employees were found covid positive. My relationship manager said i have to go to main branch only to unfreeze my account.

              Kindly do the needful as i am badly suffering from this.

                I applied for the icici bank credit card. And my application got rejected due to office address confirmation. And when i contacted the customer care executive. They told me that send your required documents by email and between 4 to 7 days. You will be notified about your application status.
                But after 9-10 days. I still didn't receive any email or message.

                But they are not giving me any update. All the time they tell me that send us an email about your company id and address. And i already send them email 10 times. And then again i called customer care executive and they said, you application is rejected. Then didn't tell me any reason.

                Please provide the solution as soon as possible.

                  Regarding deduction and refund

                  Within 3 months about 5000 rupees has been deducted from my account in the name of nach_ad_rtn_chrg~tpsl without any notification. I was maintaining minimum balance for the time of emergency and when i was going to make a payment then the amount was not there. What the hell wrong with icici bank.

                      This is anushree.

                      From my icici account rs 826 has been deducted without any notice or any update on my mobile number linked with that acount because of which as i was not aware of even my loan amount payment got bounce and my credit score will also be affected because of the bounce.

                      I was checking on google and can see these are demat account charges... I have never used demat account in icici. May i know what steps need to be followed to get my amount back.

                          My account has debited Rs.1899/- without any intimation and any request made by myself.
                          I came to know they deducted for Debit card protection (with Oneassist) for annual premium. Which is ridicules. Who needed? How they can do themselves. its against the policy of RBI which they debited without my concern/my knowledge. I don't know how many innocent people may affect these type of fraud. Please be aware.

                            I am writing this after a great frustration. I have charged every month (for the last 4 months and every year) for trading/Demat account so-called maintenance charges. I have already closed my Trading account (Closure received on email from ICICI Securities).

                            I have already communicated to [protected]@nse.co.in, But they responded back to contact to ICICI Securities, to whom i have been writing since Oct 2019.
                            I have visited the ICICI Branch Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi. to close my Demat Account. But they said I have 1 holding in my account and because that share is UNLISTED since 2016, So ICICI cant help me with this. I can neither transfer them nor dematerialized them (Rematerialisation Request given on 18 Mar 2020, but still no response).
                            I am unable to login into icicidirect.com with Demat credentials, also tried to reset password but not luck.


                            Because o[censored]nnecessary charges deducted every year, i am quite frustrated with this services. Please close my Demat Accoun as I have requested many times to close my TRADING and
                            DEMAT account as i don't do trading. and because several
                            times, i have been charged by DEMAT Services. They are not
                            closing my account and said that my demat account still holds 1
                            holdings which is already UNLISTED since 2016. So i can
                            neither transfer it nor sell it.

                              I have opened a insta save fd account but my debit card is still not dispatched I can't open a fd to get an credit card on it due to the debit is mandatory for opening imobile app so I have visited branch and called customer care service too many times but no response . And on 7 sep 2020 I have used imps for transferring money from my own other account but I have got charges of transfer of money imps charges this very unprofessional bank . Please help me to get back my charges and debit card too .

                                Hi:

                                With utmost grievance, I wish to bring forth the below-stated case that caused me and my family under tremendous mental pressure all in a sudden and that is also because of wrong information and commitment by ICICI Bank’s collection officials/agents.

                                I have taken a top-up loan dated on 19th September 2018 and has been continuing by making payment on-time as well as sometimes delayed payment.

                                Once the RBI had declared the moratorium in a press conference dated March 27, 2020, announced that all banks, housing finance companies (HFCs) and NBFCs have been permitted to allow a moratorium of 3 months on repayment of term loans outstanding on March 1, 2020, like many others I have also opted the same and Bank had used a Google Form where no confirmation appeared in the screen!

                                So when I have contacted the collection agents/officials (actually they have contacted me) they have confirmed that the moratorium has been approved.

                                When The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced an extension of the moratorium on term loan EMIs by another three months, i.e. till August 31, 2020, in a press conference dated May 22, 2020. The earlier three-month moratorium on the loan EMIs was ending on May 31, 2020. At that time also I have applied the same on monthly basis but as usual there was no confirmation on acceptance or rejection and those agents/officials were assuring me that the moratorium was on at my loan account.

                                Now, suddenly, dated on 04/09/2020 an executive/official/agent has arrived at my residence and asking the 2 months pending payment and to my surprise he has mentioned that my moratorium application has rejected for last 3 months! And he has given me a deadline to make the payment.

                                If I have taken the loan then I am liable to pay back but a minimum responsible communication I can always expect from a brand like ICICI Bank. And moreover, when I checked back with other loan subscribers (as few of my known person), they have had also faced the same problem.

                                AND THE PROBLEM IS THAT I CANNOT PROVE ALL THOSE communications I HAD WITH THE AGENTS/OFFICIALS AS THOSE WERE VERBAL& OVER TELECOM!

                                Am waiting for ICICI Bank’s higher officials interaction on this issue.

                                I don’t like to mention those agents/officials name and phone number over here as this is an open forum but if required I can produce the same to the right person.
                                N.B. And I never get regular Loan A/c statement as last received on Month February 2020 and that also has collected over WhatsApp

                                With utmost grievance, I wish to bring forth the below-stated case that caused me and my family under tremendous mental pressure all in a sudden and that is also because of wrong information and commitment by ICICI Bank’s collection officials/agents.

                                I have taken a top-up loan dated on 19th September 2018 and has been continuing by making payment on-time as well as sometimes there was a couple of delayed payment.

                                Once the RBI had declared the moratorium in a press conference dated March 27, 2020, announced that all banks, housing finance companies (HFCs) and NBFCs have been permitted to allow a moratorium of 3 months on repayment of term loans outstanding on March 1, 2020, like many others I have also opted the same and Bank had used a Google Form where no confirmation appeared in the screen!

                                So when I have contacted the collection agents/officials (sometimes they have contacted me) they have had confirmed that the moratorium had been approved.

                                When The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced an extension of the moratorium on term loan EMIs by another three months, i.e. till August 31, 2020, in a press conference dated May 22, 2020. The earlier three-month moratorium on the loan EMIs was ending on May 31, 2020. At that time also I have applied the same on monthly basis but as usual there was no confirmation on acceptance or rejection and those agents/officials were assuring me that the moratorium was on at my loan account.

                                Now, suddenly, dated on 04/09/2020 an executive/official/agent has arrived at my residence (half wearing the mask) and asking the 2 months pending payment and to my surprise he has mentioned that my moratorium application has rejected for last 3 months! And he has given me a deadline to make the payment.

                                If I have taken the loan then I am liable to pay back but a minimum responsible communication I can always expect from a brand like ICICI Bank. And moreover, when I checked back with other loan subscribers (as few of my known person), they have had also faced the same problem.
                                In continuation of that September 11, 2020, I received a call from a lady where she mentioned her first name and asked me to make the payment within the payment. When I had clarified her along with my grievance about not receiving statement monthly basis, she said she would be sending but that never appeared. A blank with deleted message had appeared in my WhatsApp number after a while but no statement and immediately I had reported the same to the person who came to my residence dated on 04/09/2020 and he kept quiet!

                                The same gentleman has appeared again to my residence (half masked where the nose was open) and handed over the statement and again reminded me about making the payment within September 15th, 2020. And I have requested him to allow me a number of more days to make the payment. But he refused and said he can’t do anything.

                                Now on September 13, 2020, at around 2.19 p.m., A gentleman introduced him as a Bankshall court Advocate as well as ICICI Bank’s legal advisor briefed me over the phone that he had received a mail from a lady of the legal team of ICICI Bank that an FIR should be lodged against the borrower in our local police station because of failure of paying 2 EMIs’ and immediately should communicate with the lady who had to send the mail to him. I have called the lady and she has introduced herself as a legal advisor of ICICI Bank and asked me to make the payment within 15th September 2020 and when I have requested her that I cannot pay then she had said that I should tell her the date and I have said immediately that would let her know by September 14th, 2020. By the way, when I made the call she was busy as she said and she called back at 4.26 and I made her call at 4.18 p.m.
                                As per the request by the advocate I had reported the discussion to him at 2.39 p.m. and he has asked me to get the mail from legal advisor lady initially and then said he would do the needful and let me know. As he didn’t reciprocate hence I called him again at 3.20 p.m. and get the idea and the gentleman has suggested to me that I should pay If I am able to manage the money etc. And we hang up!

                                AND THE PROBLEM IS THAT I CANNOT PROVE ALL THOSE communications I HAD WITH THE AGENTS/OFFICIALS AS THOSE WERE VERBAL & OVER TELECOM!

                                Am waiting for ICICI Bank’s higher officials’ interaction on this issue.

                                I don’t like to mention those agents/officials name and phone number over here as this is an open forum but if required I can produce the same to the right person.

                                N.B. And I have never denied that I won’t make the payment but due to sheer lack of communication process, I required more time to arrange the fund. And this is Pandemic situation that we should not forget.
