We dont want to have anything to do with ICICI Bank and trying to close the bank account but the bank refuse to do so.
The reasons for our desire to close the account are as follow-
There were documents related to export activities that our company submitted to ICICI bank, Panjim Branch on 2014, which apparently kept pending until 2016, that surfaced when the company received a surprise charges against the pending documents, following up with ICICI bank we discover that they forgot to submit the documents, of course they refuse to take responsibility and had many excuses from missing documents to not understanding our business modal, although all documents were submitted earlier and we carry a proof of it, for about a year there was no communication between the bank and the company therefore we were under the impression that they filled the documents.
By then (2016) we didn't do any international transactions with ICICI bank as we received horrible service; from a phone call where a guy from ICICI Panjim branch is asking for some "benefits for his good work" (recorded) to documents no other bank ever asked for and many other.
We submitted a request for resolution of the pending export documents with Vispi Marrsal a manager from Mumbai after the Goa manager refused to give us his boss details or phone number, we submitted a complaint with Ombudsman as well. ICICI employees started to process the export documents only when we went to Goa's RBI GM to complain.
After back and forward of many months which in the mean time various charges and threats were charged to our icici bank account, we finely received a confirmation that all documents are submitted and approved, therefore I went ahead to close the bank account, which then the bank reply that there are pending documents that need to be submitted...again.
I am not interested to receive my money back from them nor any compensation for the behavior or the time me and my CA had to invest in this, I only want to not have a bank account with a bank that has the audacity to do as he wish with his clients money and time (and without providing any explanation for it) somewhere they forgot that we are the client.
ICICI Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
