On 26th october 2017 i received a call from an unknown number informing that the caller is from sbi credit card department and informed that i have acquired reward points, and as to whether i would like to convert it to cash or gift. On which i informed that i wou, d like to get the same coverting it into cash and then the caller requested me to intimate the details of the card, which i passed on. Then the caller told me that i shall be receiving an otp, which is necessary to transfer the sum and i communicated the same on receipt of the same. Immediately thereafter when i saw that i was cheated i tried to contact the helpline number of sbi but as the helpline number was not at all helpful as the same was being managed by computer system with number of options, i deserted the line and i opened my mail box and i noticed that there was an alert from sbi intimating that hope the transaction is in order, if not to contact sbi card helpline. Then and there i sent a mail to sbi credit card deptt about withdrawal of a sum of rs4999/- fraudulently from my credit card. Thereafer i received a call from sbi card and they blocked my card and issued a card replacing the infected card.. Since the gateway of the transaction was ideacell bill desk, i took up the issue with ideamoney requeting for taking steps for refunding the money, but i was really surprised to see that inspite of repeatedly taking up the matter with ideamoney, they sent the unsettled transaction to the sbi credit card on 27th october for settlement in their favour. On which, i sent mail to both sbi and idea money, but without paying heed to my request, the amount was settled in favour of the fraud. As such, there is gross negligence on the part of both the institutions. As such i request to take urgent steps for refunding the amount fraudulently withdrawn from my account.in the meantime i have taken up the matter with the cyber crime cell of kolkata police and also lodged a gd in the police station at panchasayar, kolkata-94.

Updated by tapan1953 Though I have given complete details of my grievance, but till date the same has not yet been settled neithr by Idea money, nor by SBI Card. Anyway, SBI Card made some queries in this column. On which, I sent a separate mail to them. But after that several days have passed but both the financial institutions preferred to remain silent. As such, I am posting this reminder for both ideamoney and SBI Card, requesting them to resolve the issue at the earliest.

Updated by tapan1953 Perhaps the ideacellular is not aware about the latest development of the issue under reference. I received a communication on 15th instant from idea money requesting me to intimate details about the Transaction ID (14 digits):, Date and Time of transaction, Amount of transaction and also Beneficiary number, which I have already supplied to them.
Apology for the inconvenience caused. We have tried contacting you on your given idea number, but could not get through.Kindly share your alternate number with convenient time so that we can again try to get in touch with you.
