I was having an idea postpaid number [protected]. I wanted to close the that and convert it to pre-paid. So in the month of april, i settled the full outstanding amount on my connection and approached 3-4 idea stores in the pimpri-chinchwad area to convert my connection to prepaid.
However, no store took my request and asked to come back in 2 weeks, as they were lacking prepaid card. That sounds me strange, so i called customer care and informed them about this. They told that it should not be the case and try to reach a different store or main idea store in the city.
I again tried a couple of stores, got the same reply. So finally i went to main idea store, located at shop no. 9, spot 18 mall, pimple saudagar, pimpri-chinchwad, maharashtra 411027 with all the relevant documents. The lady confirmed that prepaid cards are available and the other stores were lying to me. There i submitted the conversion form to that lady.
However, in the meantime, the billing cycle was continued and there was an amount shown against my connection for rental charge. Hence she asked me to pay the bill amount for 2 weeks. I told them that i have stopped using the connection and the additional days were taken due to inability from idea store to convert. I clearly mentioned that i wont be paying this additional cost of rs.250/-. Later the request was put on hold and since then they are following up for payment.
I have sent the emails to customer care executive that i wont be paying the amount and asked to convert my connection to prepaid first. But got no response.
Now, recently i am getting the emails from idea with subject line "lok nyaylay intimation! Idea cellular"

Kindly advise what could be done in this scenario as the additional charges were occurred due to wrong information supplied to me and the inability from respective idea stores to take my request for conversion.
