I was a customer of idea holding two number 73x0xx8x00 and 95x2x9x4x1.

These two numbers were used by me for about 4 years and 2 years respectively.

on a single day I decided to disconnect the phone numbers and I asked Idea the process and the confirmed it can be done over the phone, the request was accepted and numbers were disconnected.

After 1 month or so I got two bills for the numbers and their respective amount were 389 and 515 Rs.

I am ready to pay bill but non one is able to give a online way of paying bill till day.

There were several calls and email from Idea demanding payment and my reply has been same all the time that enable a online payment and I would be more than happy to outstanding amount.

I tried paying the bill online using paytm and idea website but it does recognize my number and it says its not Idea number.

Recently one of the guy(named Sagar himself on call) from the idea recovery team called me and his team mates were very mean and rude.
He gave me a idea number [protected] to make payment towards this phone number and provide him the transaction number so that he can settle the amount towards my phone numbers I had.

I don't understand two things:
1. Why would I make payment towards a random number given by him.
2. I told him to send an email from me a official email id to confirm his identity but he has been sharing personal email ID.
3. If such process o[censored]sing transactions exist in Idea then why cant they send email on personal email from the official group email ID ([protected]@idea.adityabirla.com) and I would make payment then and there.

    This is Imran Khan, I recently applied for MNP from Airtel To Idea, I got a message from Idea saying my number would be in no service period for 4 hours and from then i can enjoy Idea services.
    12 hours passed but till now new idea sim isn't activated, I am missing important calls and my near and dear ones cannot reached.
    Please Idea network respond swiftly and do the needful.

      Hello,

      I have recharged Idea 2G 3GB Unlimited Internet pack at Rs. 298 on [protected] yesterday March 2 2016 which is giving me very less internet speed. I have not used more than 100 mb but why is this happening. Can't load even 240p video without buffering on YouTube. I paid almost 300 rupees for this. I am really not a rich person who could just waste money and recharge again for higher speed. My phone supports 2G, 3G networks. There is no network problem here. I live in Goa.
      The Fair Usage Policy is that if I finish 3GB speed will be reduced to 40 kbps but I hardly get even 20kbps which is half of that. I am getting full H+ (HSPA+) network here. Why is Idea cheating me like this. I get a good download speed on 3G (about 1.1 mbps) but my friends get atleast 150 kbps on 2g.
      Please solve my problem. I plead Consumercomplaints.in.
      Atleast deliver 80 kbps so that I could atleast browse the internet properly without getting stuck in middle of gettinga blank page.

      Dear Idea Costumer Care Support,

      I received a call from your team. My problem is somewhat solved as he said according to the plain my speed would be decreased but I think 2G internet should still get 128 kbps speed right? The maximum speed now I get is 40-50 kbps which is quite good then 10 kbps I got before getting a call from Idea today at around 3:15 pm. I just wanted to make it clear that in 3G I get a lot bigger difference in speeed. I get upto 2 mbps but in 2g sooo less even on HSPA+. Anyways, thanks.

        When i was called to CCE of idea cellular NO 198, for the miss alert scheme then the CCE said me that you have to recharge your account with INR 75 and call to us for activation the scheme and validity of scheme is SIX months, then once again i was called the CCE for confirmation then the CCE said me that yes you have to recharge your account with INR 75. As per there instruction i recharge my prepaid account with INR 75, then call to CCE of idea cellular for activation the scheme, then the CCE said me that i have to transfer your call to my senior executive, then there is MR. Kishor Borhade is senior executive he welcome me, then he said me send one sms for activation the scheme but after 2 - 3 minutes he said me that there is no scheme for your recharge amount. you get talk time of INR 62. There is scheme for INR 149 and validity of scheme is 1 Year for same. When i convince them for refund account then they said me there is no system for request. he take my 8-10 minutes for discussion. i loss my concentration and have
        some depression.. Please give justice for same. i have our call recording for proof.

          I port my postpaid tata indicom no. [protected], and i paid all bill to tata indicom company, my indicom plan is 250 and i paid 900 rs. so this no. is port by idea and idea given me mobile bill and tata indicom also send me bill as same dated. so after 2 month idea said to me u r pending bill paiment of tata indicom so i disconnected your mobile service. so what can i do?

            I was credited with 1024 MB on [protected] with validity 05/03/2016, then I donot know why my internet was not working. In order to troubleshoot the issue, I recharged on 03/03/2016 with amount Rs246, I got 1GB+ 1GB 4G data balance with validity 30/03/2016. But I lost 1 GB data. But my internet started working

            I was supposed to have (1GB+2GB 4G data)

            I would not have recharged with Rs 246 if my internet was working fine with 1GB prebook data and 05/03/2016. It is not my fault.
            I am seriously annoyed by your horrible billing system for 4G services without any carry forward facility. Dear Idea subscriber beware of 4G recharges and prebook offer, they are fake and they credit you with 1024 MB fake data balance but your internet will not work unless you recharge with any 4G data pack.

            Dear Idea Subscriber, Avoid Idea 4G, Please do not get motivated in 1GB pre launch offer it is a trap.Today Idea executive spoke to me with stupid explanation, since you activate someother 4g pack we can not activate your 4g trial pack(Why do you waste your money and my time calling me?). You first activated 1024 MB after complaining at facebook then when you activate 4g pack silently, my internet does not work at all.It is not my fault that I recharged with other packs as internet does not work.What is the use of such 4g trial pack? I would have ignored the loss but then again your 4G pack are not affordable.On top if you cheat your subscriber it is not justified.You are building your own coffin for your 4G services. I swear that I will not recharge [protected] and will use Airtel 4G service which is costly but is very reliable and they are committed to their subscriber.
            Your idea executive says me what is use of posting at facebook n times.You will get the same reply. But atleast I am able to reach out to other subscriber about cheating related to 4G packs

                I have been billed Rs. 800 for GPRS Charges in the month of January 2016. Whereas this amount is extensively high. Moreover after being paying Rs. 400/- from the BIll of Rs. 1200/- my Outgoing Services has been Temporarily Stopped which was not a right step taken by Idea. If my Services are also being stopped then No Invoicing should be done but it was continued by the Company.

                I dont want to continue with such kind of Serivce Providers who follow unethical practices.

                    I lost my phone with a sim card of idea numbered [protected]. I blocked that number and lodged an FIR regarding the same. After some time idea people called me and said I have a bill pending against my name for Rs. 1000 (Renewal of CUG pack and 300 for calls and tax). I told him that the sim has been lost and the pack has been renewed without my consent so I wont pay the whole bill. After so much argues, she convinced me to pay Rs. 450 on a different number ([protected]) because my number was temporarily blocked. I made an online payment of Rs. 450 towards that number and gave the reference id to the lady calling me from idea. Now, after 15-20 days, some other girl called and said that a bill of Rs. 1000 is pending. I told her that it has already been paid. But she was so rude to me. She was asking for my address and was saying, "I am calling from Tis Hazari Court and a legal proceeding will be imposed on you if you don't pay your bill." I am fed up of these calls again and again. This is nothing else than mental harassment.

                      My name is Ram Sengar and I am using idea from last 8 years. My mobile no is +91 [protected]. Recently I moved from Delhi to UP East. I have transferred my sim card from NCR to UP East by use of MNP service. But the problem is that my iPhone is not accepting the converted sim ( from micro sim to nano sim). When I talked with idea care regarding to nano sim they said that idea does not provide nano sim for MNP users.

                      My mobile no is linked with many accounts and I do not want to change my mobile no. Please let me know the possible solution.

                        When I checked my current bill for Feb 2016, I found that my GPRS plan had been changed without any prior intimation or approval from me. I had also been charged an additional amount of Rs. 100.64 extra and additional service charges on the same.


                        My previous GPRS plan was GPRS Core Service_SB_0_Acc_98_307. You can check the same from my Jan 16 bill.

                        The plan has been unilaterally changed by you to GPRS Core Service_SB_0_Acc_125_392 01-Feb-2016 without my approval.

                        Kindly revert back the plan to the original one and also reverse the extra charges and service tax levied thereof immediately. Kindly confirm the same ASAP.

                          Dear Sir,

                          I have requested to change from pool 900 to pool 1400 under easy share 3.00 on 23/1/2016 but
                          to holiday it has not been taken up that day. Finally on 25/1/2016 it has changed to pool 1400 but
                          Idea have billed both the scheme which is not correct as well as not acceptable.

                          I am an old customer and make regular payments as per your schedule.
                          Pl. instruct to correct the bill so that I can make the payment accordingly. It should be pro-rata basis.

                          Furthermore, how it has been charged the GPRS Charges where as I am well under the ambit of your free limit.

                          The Local Idea Outlet is not at all cooperating even they are not responding through mobile. It is disgusting, irritating and not at all acceptable.

                              I was activated a plan in midnight 11:59 and i got a msg the service plan validity is 1 night (about 12 -6 am)

                              but i didn't got any data and i was charged for this plan

                              and when i call customer care they said your data is laps

                              the company charged for me for the service n said it is activate before 11:45 pm and after 12:15 am

                              but in massage it clearly written the validity of service will be one night ...

                                No network is here in my home of any mobile companies and i asked idea cellular many time for a single tower or anything to remove these problem but they dont take any action

                                    Greetings!!

                                    At the outset I would like to apologise for writing you upfront and unwarranted as a Customer of Idea Cellular
                                    However my attempts to reach out Customer Care, seniors CCEs and Appellate contact at region level failed to resolve this serious issue I am raising to you with a hope to get satisfactory resolution.

                                    This is regarding the “Pro Rated” charges I have incurred for my number[protected] in last billing cycle.
                                    I would try to keep the description short as possible

                                    Lately I decided to change my Plan to “! Plan 999” and become a more committed customer to Idea Cellular.
                                    I have been using Airtel My Plan as well and it has worked most suitable to me.

                                    My Billing cycle is 20th of every month The last bill I received was the first full month cycle bill as per “! Plan 999”

                                    Around 12th Feb I received an email notification stating my Data Packs which I selected during the process I designed my Plan are about to get over.
                                    Since I am an “unfortunate” user of Idea App, I decided to check App if there is a way to play around with “Packs” and get more “Data Packs" and reduce “Voice Packs”
                                    I stumbled over “Manage Packs” and in a very regular process I increased “2 or 3 Data packs” and reduced Voice Packs.

                                    On the last screen I did receive a flash pop up asking to confirm, I went ahead and confirmed it and did not notice any catch of “pro rated” charges.

                                    A week back when I received my Idea Bill I was surprised to see “Rs. 5618” as Pro rated charges which had no explanation to it.
                                    I thought its a billing error and approached the customer care. They proved to be pretty useless and could not even explain me the charges.
                                    Upon reading a couple of websites which had complaints against the Pro rated charges by Idea I understood what it meant.

                                    I was completely zapped and surprised by the very unfair charge any Idea customer would have to pay.
                                    In case you have not come across this charge personally, let me explain it to you.

                                    “WHILE I MADE CHANGE IN PACKS I HAVE IN MY ! PLAN999 IN THE MIDDLE OF BILLING CYCLE (12TH FEB), THE PRO RATED CHARGES CAME INTO ACTION.
                                    ALL THE DATA WHICH I HAD OPTED UNDER MY PLAN FOR THAT MONTH UNTIL I MADE CHANGES IN PLAN HAS BEEN CHARGED ON REGULAR DATA CHARGES!!!”

                                    Here is what it means
                                    I should NOT have made any changes in the Data Packs I had opted in my Plan and waited until the day my billing cycle ends.
                                    I should have been wise enough to understand the terms associated with this specific situation is called “Pro ration” charges which Idea mentions in very casually on the website without explaining or giving any example and which Idea also mentions in tiniest Fonts very casually in a flash message which User make changes in Packs via App.
                                    Here is my contention

                                    - Why at the very first place would Idea Cellular let customers change the selection of Packs using App in middle of Billing Cycle if it could be such HUGE PENALISING charges?? Has idea intentionally laid out this Trap of letting Customers change the Packs in “!Plan” and then punishing them with Pro Rated charges??


                                    - I did this using your Idea App which you promote a lot. No where on App during the “Manage Packs” process Pro rated charges are explained or clarified how they are calculated. Not only myself but there are loads of other customers complaining about same unfair practise past couple of months. If you google this you would know. You haven’t fixed this months.


                                    - Just by mentioning “Pro rated” charge may apply, does idea shrugs off to the fact that 99% customers would not even know the meaning of this term forget about understanding how its calculated???


                                    - Even while FINDING deliberately about Pro Rated charges, I could not find the explanation on your Web Portal, I ding not find any example of how Pro Rated charges are calculated, you have no explanation in the detailed Bill as well.

                                    - The way during entire process of changing Packs Idea mentions the "Pro rated charges may apply” has been mentioned, its pretty clear by loads of complaints online that its very very usual to miss noticing it.

                                    As I mentioned I am Airtel My Plan customer for long time now and they also allow making changes in the selection of Packs in the middle of Billing Cycle without any such charges, I have an understanding that its not an Industry practise.

                                    I request you to kindly take this up with your concerned team at Head Office earliest, as an aggrieved Customer I am pretty much available to discuss it further over Email/Phone Call or even if I have to travel Jaipur/Head Office for this.

                                    Here is the screenshot from the page where you can change selection of Data Packs anytime you want, it does not mention any Pro rated charges anywhere. I thoroughly read the plan pages etc and could not find any description or example of how pro rated charges are calculated.

                                    If Idea would want to stop this unfair practice they would simple disallow change of selection of plan in middle of billing cycle!!

                                      The executives at the idea branch in ferozpur, Punjab (152002) are asking for rs 50 to upgrade the sim card to 4g.
                                      But I had received messages from idea that are advising to upgrade the sim to 4g for free at Idea showrooms
