This is not the first time i'm fed up with this operator, 5 months ago Idea deducted Rs.150 from my account , after i begged them them for atleast 20 times , they refunded my money. Now again they have deducted Rs.147 from 3 months(49 Rs each month) ,they are saying , the reason for deduction is My Gprs "SIMPLY ENJOY" pack, which i had deactivated 3 months ago. I have that message in my sent items, also i got a reply by Idea about the deactivation subscription, i sent that message UNREG SE to 55055 some 4 to 5 times, but still money has been reducing from my account every month. I have called 198 and Customer care 10 times, every they say is deactivate your pack, which i have already done 5 times. The company's slogan is "AN IDEA CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE", but in my case its"IDEA IS RUINING MY LIFE", i cant change the sim card as i am using it from past 5 years and i dont prefer MNP. I want the company to act immediately and refund me my amount.
Latest: Customer care guys asked me to send the deactivation message once again today, but the message status appears as "sms sending failed"!
I'm helpless n I hope U will take action against these Irregularities.....

I recently noticed an amount being deducted from my idea simcard account,
regarding this i called customer care and requested them to refund the same, but they said refunding cannot be done.

I further questioned them that why was the money been deducted?
they said a BGM(background music) was activated to my account.

I questioned how did it got activated?
They said they are not sure, it might have been activated by yourself .

i said i never activated such service?
They said it might be due to their mistake and they asked sorry for the same.

I asked him how can you activate any service to my number without my request?
They said this service was active on my number from august.

Lastly they agreed to deactivate the service , but they dint agree to refund my hard earned money.

    On my idea chitchat prepaid connection no. [protected] company is deducting Rs.10/- without my consent. On 28/07/2011 an amount of Rs.10/- was deducted an enquiry was made from custmer care for deduction, the exceutive said that amount is deducted from my account in the name of service activation for "Double Meaning Jokes" for next 10 days, I denied the activation from my side but he did'nt listen to me and not registered may complaint. Again on 04/08/2011 my account is reduced by Rs.10/- in the name of above mentioned service. I again approched the custmer care, the executive was unable to tell anything since server was down (as per his information) and a complaint no.[protected] given to me.
    In view of above, points to be noted that since deduction of charges, I did'nt received any "Double Meaning Jokes" from the service provider. In the name of service against which no jokes(service) were provided again deduction of Rs.10/- after just 08th day of activation shows that company is earning money by befooling custmers. So it is my request to the service provider that amount deducted should be returned to me without delay.

        After recharge, Internet not getting started
        I registered a complain to IDEA that my internet is not getting started even after recharging twice.

        They either cut my phone or every time give me false promises that within 24 hrs/ 12 hrs / 8 hrs , it will get started. I also ask them to return my money and I'll stop using there

        I am really fade up of them. There are lot of personal losses which I am facing because of there delay.

        From 30 July my internet is closed.

        Please help me to either get started my Idea internet connection or get my money back so that I can purchase internet from another connection provider.

        I recharged my netsetter with 103rs and waited for 2 days still i am unable to connect to internet...
        Also iam getting a cell number stating that it has stolen, imei number and to inform Mr. Harish about that but i dont know who is Mr. Harish

          SIM CARD INACTIVATED WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE
          On 3 rd Feb 2011 I have converted a IDEA SIM card bearing mobile number [protected] from a idea show room in pune. Xerox copy of passport and current electricity bill have been submitted by me for identity proof and address proof respectively.

          The application for prepaid connection duly filled up and signed alongwith passport size photograph also submitted to the retailer from whom the SIM card was issued.

          On last month 8 th the said IDEA number has been made inactive without any prior notice. When IDEA customer care contacted over telephone they say that purchase of their SIM card is not used in certails days so we have de activated the card Further I wish to state that the said mobile no had been recharged with Rs 350/-.

          I therefore request you sir to advise me the correct administrative action which can be taken in this case. My mobile number is [protected] and my e-mail id is venkat.[protected]@gmail.com
          I have checked it it still not working, Please check it again and confirm the same.

            I feel extremely dejected in writing this mail.

            1. Akshay tellecaller called me and offer me to convert the Airtel ([protected]) to IDEA Postpaid and told me that to have a plan of Monthly Rental - Rs. 99/-,5000 Local/Nat SMS Free.I gave him cash 418 Rupees also for this scheme.

            2. They promised that the Sim will be activated within 24 hrs. I called many times to too many numbers (Which are Mentioned Below ) Now its been more than month. Still my phone is not activated. I have been to Customer Care Center nearby but even they also are not able to solve my problem.

            We have taken 3 idea SIM in two names for our family by submitting 12 photoes, I/D card, bank account statements etc from MON-798621 ( Nagaland) Idea office on[protected].Now our Numbers are blocked; [protected], 301, 302.Mon (Nagaland)office told us that they have sent all documents at Guwahati Idea office but not yet activated.Under R.T.I.               I had opted for MNP for one of my TATA Indicom prepaid no. Accordingly I had submitted an application for the same at one of their authorized outlet (Shri Balaji, Narpatgiri chowk, Mangalwar Peth, Pune) on 15th July '11.

              The executive told me that the transfer to IDEA would take place in 7 days i.e. 22nd July '11. When the same did not happen, I went to the center on 26th and enquired. I was told that the request was sent on 19th even when I had submitted the same on 15th. They told me to wait till 27th. It did not take place. I went again and henceforth everytime they tell me that the service will start after after 2 days. I had even enquired with the Customer care and they mentioned that no request is available.

              I dont know what to do as I am facing a lot of problem due to this. I there I can sue them legally for such kind of harrassment. Can you please tell me the procedure for the same and what kind of compensation can I get from IDEA.

                  I have sent the complaint as below to Shalini (Grievance.Delhi) on 3rd Jun 2011. Do we have some one at IDEA listening to potential customers.

                  This is my feedback and grievance with reference to new IDEA connection application thru one of IDEA DSA.


                  One of IDEA Cellular DSA got in touch with for a new IDEA connection for the chosen number[protected] and got the paper work completed (Customer application form no. - S357543) along with collection of my address proof, photo etc on 7 May 2011. Rs 250 was collected in cash as advance deposit and a receipt was duly issued.


                  The very next day I received a call that the chosen for which the paper work was signed is not available and I must choose alternate number, for which I refused. I was promised my refund will be sent to my home in next couple of day. Now I am asked to go to their office and collect the refund which is not feasible. They have even stopped taking my call noticing my number.


                  I suspect this is a planned fraud of engaging customers with attractive numbers and then force them abandon their deposit. I urge you to take strong action against the DSA to ensure IDEA's brand equity stays on top. Look forward for see a early response from you.

                  Problem - the IDEA DSA (G-lifee, A-3/29, First Floor, Sector-5, Rohini, Delhi) has taken advance (Rs250) for a new connection with the number [protected] on 7th May 2011 and then asked me choose another number tellingme that the chosen number is not available. When I refused for any alternate number provided, then I was told that the refund will be sent to my home in the next 2-3 days. Which they never sent. Now I am asked to come to their Rohini office to collect the refund which is not feasible.

                  contacted Idea customer care on 4th Aug with the Token ID provided, no updates so far even after reminder.

                    Idea is also doing the same , without intimation they have discontinued my service and blocked my out going service , now I am helpless to call anywhere or customer care executive, such a crap they are!!! Shame-less IDEA.

                    When I called from Landline number of my neighbour then Customer care says we can not do any thing go to IDEA Show room and when I went to Show Room they were saying call customer care !!! what the [censored] they are .

                    I wish , I could have beaten up showroom guys and customer executive at same time.

                    I had again submitted document against number one week back (as I got to know for document in-completion they have de-activated my number after using 2 month service) but till now they have not got my service re-activated .

                    Kindly suggest me how could I get my service re-activated.

                    We have taken 3 prepaid connections on[protected] with photoes, documents which they have asked for.Strange Our numbers are blocked without any information.Here at MON-798621( Nagaland) several times we asked but they blame Guwahati ( Assam) Idea Office : Our Nos are [protected]/301/302. since I have balance till this date Why deactivated ?                       Dear Sir/ Madam,
                      I am suffering a lot with Idea cellular Limited, Rajasthan. I had a mobile connection (Mob: [protected]) in my name but the number was used for the business purpose of the charitable institution where I work. We are used that number for only three months and we settled the bill amount in 2010. Around two months back, I had received a call from Jodhpur Police station and the Sub-Inspector was complaining about IPC-Section 420. The Sub-Inspector used a language beyond all manners. I asked for the contact number of Advocate. He gives me the contact number of Adv.S.K.Mathur (Mob: [protected]). I had spoken with him and I learn that an amount of Rs.2500/- was pending on that particular mobile number. We are unable to get the bills or any other communications in time because of the address change of our institution. As per the conversation with Adv. S.K. Mathur ji, I had paid an amount of Rs.2500/- on 1-June-2011. It has been written on the bill “Full & Final Settlement” and I verified that all dues in this number [protected] had cleared till date (1-June-2011).

                      But today (on 1st August 2011) the story was repeated, Call comes from (Mob: [protected]) the Jodhpur Police station, One, Mr.Bhanuprathap Singh Rathod, Sub-Inspector of Police, starts abusing me and give me the number of Adv.S.K.Mathur (Mob: [protected]). I had found that the earlier number I got in the name of Adv.S.K.Mathur was another and it was switched off. I talk with person (He said that he was Adv.S.K.Mathur) in this number, Mob: [protected] and I had given the Receipt No which I had paid on 1st June 2011

                      In the meantime the Sub-Inspector call me several times and continuing his threatening in my office numbers also. He will arrest, He will beat, He will shot and so on.

                      What I have to do? Please look into the matter.

                      The copy of receipt with us and I confirmed with the Idea Office Bhiwadi that they have received the payment and promised to me that all dues are cleared. I talked to Mr. Harsh, in Idea Office, Bhiwadi.

                      I think now the idea showrrom shifted to new place. My communications with the old office around 15 days back

                        Dear Sir,
                        I have been using IDEA mobile phone connection No.[protected] for alomost one year now.Since past one month I am being charged for a service which I have not ordered. Rs.30/- were deducted from my phone balance on 28th July and Rs.30/- today on 1st. Aug.2011 - for or on behalf Big Radio song service. I have not ordered this service and eversince it has come to my notice I have been trying to reach IDEA customer care - but so far my call has not even been answered - message sending for deactivation of this so called song service at 5355 has failed 5/6 times.
                        As soon as I rercharge my account balance money is swiped from my Phone account NO.[protected] - Please note that I have not ordered any song service and therefore, it is here by expected that money so deducted - may please be REFUNDED and the so called song service be immediately DE-ACTIVATED Or it shall be presumed that money is being deducted by IW-IDEACL OR The Big Radio with some malafied intents.
                        It is further requested, that, besides deactivation of above mentioned service all other DND services on my Mobile No. [protected] - be BLOCKED/stopped with immediate effect, AND please instruct your customer care department to take calls and attend your to your customers needs in a professional manner which is least expected of a service provider, otherwise stop making big advertisements and making tall claims on Television.

                        I am regretfully forced to inform the Administrator of Consumar Complaint Forum - about this indifferent and unprofessional attitute of the company, towards customers' complaints and greviences.

                        b) Why it has taken IDEA Mobile coompany so long to acknowledge (including a REMINDER) to initiate the process.?

                        It is to bring to your notice that inspite of my request to stop all DND services on my above mentioned mobile phone - I am continuously being harrassed by Big Radio - inspite of a confirmation from your message center Ph.No.[protected] IW-IDEACL - Dt.7 Aug 2011 @08:22:07 pm, thaqt Big Radio subscription has been de-activated.

                        I demand to know -

                        why I am still getting messages from your message center selling Big Radio Song service.

                        I had never subscribed for this servicde - therefore why till now I have not been REFUNDED the money which IDEA company has malafiedly swiped from my account - without my permission and authority.

                          I am getting cricket alerts daily to which I have not subscribed, for this Rs.5 / day amount is debited from my recharge amount.                             As i am sure that I got a call from idea cellular and i am also using the idea number [protected], I recharged with 49 Rs. in which the call told that you will get full talktime. So, i did not get the full talktime and now i called 4 times in customer care i talked with payal shah, palak, bhavik and tabrez ansari, all they are not ready to give me the right information and also they were not ready to take my request or complain. Now the all representatives are telling that you did not get a cal from company and you are not elligible for this 49/- scheme. So, where is my balance or from whom i can get back my 49 Rs. Please guide me because the IDEA people not even ready to give refund or any normal talktime for that recharge. My question is where is my 49/- from to whom i can get it back?

                              I, Vedula Rama Murthy S/o. V.A. Narasimham aged about 35 years, Occupation: Private employee R/o. Plot No. 107, Flat 306, Sai Shakti Enclave, Moti Nagar, Hyderabad – 500018.

                              I have taken a cellular connection with idea cellular limited in 2006 and have been using the connection till date and have been cleared all the bills till May 2011.

                              I have opted 3G services from Idea cellular limited in April-May 2011 billing cycle under the promotional package of Rs. 450/- monthly rental and 1200MB free usage.

                              I got an SMS around 12th of June stating that my unbilled amount has crossed my limit; please pay the unbilled amount to enjoy the uninterrupted services. I shocked and called the customer care representatives on[protected] couple of times and urged them to correct the errors and not to disconnect my services. I got an assurance that the excessive billing is because of data usage is being billing first and will get credit when the bill got generated.

                              Though I have begged the customer care couple of time not to disconnect my services, Idea cellular has disconnected all my services including voice calls, VAS services & 3G services on 16th June 2011 stating the reason of “un billed amount is exceeded the Credit limited”.

                              I have raised the complaints with customer care to resume of services as the mobile services are very important for me. The customer care has agreed that the unbilled amount is showing because of 3G free usage is being billed. I have risen below complaints & called numerous times to resume of services and correct the wrong billing. To my surprise, none of my complaints were been looked into and serviced, but they were closed without action.

                              Complaint Numbers:

                              The customer care has told me that I had used 10,57,560kb = 1032.77MB (1MB=1024kb) during the billing cycle of 24th May to 23rd June 2011. As per the plan that I had opted Rs. 450 monthly rental, I am eligible to use 1200MB free usage, but Idea has billed me Rs. 4426.85/- towards the usage of GPRS usage. I had asked & demanded the customer care how did you charged me when I haven’t crossed the free usage limit. None of the customer care guys has no clue what to say and every time they said someone will call me and will explain. No one has called me or reach me out to explain how and why they had charged me?

                              Whenever I had called the customer care, none of them able to understand my complaint, never tried to solve irregularities in the billing, but always says that someone will call back to me to resolve; but no one had called me till date. I have insisted to talk to the higher officials in idea to tell my issue and look for resolutions; but they always says that they don’t have authority to share the details of escalation. They are least bothered about customers and showing attitude. I request Idea management to check my call logs and listen to the customer interactions that I had. They have tested all my patience and raised BP in all my conversations.

                              Idea has never bothered to resolve my complaint, but only interested in how to bill the loyal customers high and collection of the same; leaving aside their ethical values.

                              I have received the bill vide No.[protected] dated 24 – June – 2011 for billing cycle 24 – May – 2011 to 23 – June – 2011 for Rs. 5996.50/-. I have raised the complaint to the customer care on billing error and they had replied me that they will provide a credit back. I have called them and spoke on this matter on 25th June, 30th June, 1st July, 3rd July, 6th July and 10 July 2011. As a responsible customer of Idea I had paid Rs. 1570 towards my mobile bill after deducting the data usage (billing error). Even though Idea has disconnected my services again today (July 30, 2011)

                              I have few questions to the Idea management and demanding explanation on the same on record:

                              1. How come a user can 1200 MB free usage, without exceeding credit limits (2K) when they bill for every kb till the billing date and then gives a credit?
                              2. If this is not possible, why they had floated this plan in market and causing inconvenience and misleading the loyal customers?
                              3. What is the intension of idea behind this kind o[censored]n matured plans?
                              4. How TRAI approved this kind of plans to the telecom operators?

                              Idea has caused lot of inconvenience, breach of Trust, mental stress and cheated me with 3G services billing and the way they handled the grievance.

                              I am demanding the Idea to give me an explanation on above complaint & Questions immediately, correct my billing, resume my services with immediate effect.

                                This is to bring to your knowledge that i was using idea blackeberry 299 plan from last 2 yrs but as my sim got damaged i took new same on same no and applied for idea blackberyy 299 plan on 5th july. As per customer care and show room (vsantkunj) service is activated since 7th july 2011.
                                i am not able to use thhe service till date. i have called customer care , idea blackberry customer care visited idea show room 15-20 times. every time i call ,they say services will start in 24 working hours then they say to call blackberry centre. blackeberry says to contact iidea customer care. i am being harrassed by the company. i even called blackberry and idea cusomer care on confrence call then they said to visit show room . The show room again says that, they will call me next day.At least ten times i have been told that they will call me and they never do so. i am really fed up as i am being harrassed. they are still charging for the blacberry plan even though i am not able to use it. it is now 24 days but nothing has been done from service provider end.
                                Pls do the needful.

                                  My outgoing calls for my idea no. [protected] have been barred for the last one week. First they asked for identity proof even while my connection was a postpaid converted to prepaid. I have given my identity proof 3 times since last 2 years and still they are asking for proof . They used to collect bill from my residence but still they are asking for proof .I'm ready to give my identity proof but i want to know about the record of my 3 identity proofs which i have already submitted. Is this the way idea care deals with a person whose connection is 3 year old and moreover it was a post paid connection. Please resolve my problem. i am busy businessman and i do'nt have time to submit my identity proofs after every month. moreover i cannot contact the customer care from my idea connection . let aside other outgoing calls what is the fun of barring my customer care services. to contact them i had to borrow my colleague's mobile this is the last time i am complaining against idea care I will advise all who use mobiles please think twice before going for an idea connection.

                                  idea cellular company — NOT DEACTIVATING THE SERVICE AFTER REPITITIVE COMPLAINTS

                                  MY IDEA NO IS: [protected] ,i have been complaining to IDEA customer care for more than 2 weeks, that i want to deactivate my daily cricket pack..but it is not getting deactivating...they always says that it will get deactivated within 24 hours,but it never got deactivated..and my balance is reducing by 5rs...and they are not even refunding it...for that also they always says that balance will be refunded within 24 hrs ,but that also hasn't be refunded..i am tired of calling there customer care..and receiving there reference numbers..my inbox is filled with their reference no regarding deactivation and refunding..but it has never happened...i have all the evidence in form of SMS's from idea giving me reference no and saying that your request will get processed within 24 hours...

                                  SO AT THE END I WANT THIS DAILY CRICKET PACK TO BE DEACTIVATED..AND ALL MY BALANCE TO BE REFUNDED....

                                    i have taken idea mobile connection since two month back and yesterday they have disconnected it i went to shop where i took the connection and asked the reason he told may be your document have not been confirmed from verification dept and i need to go to distributer centre at agrico with required document when i went there with document and asked him to submit it with the from he refused to take any document and threten me that if you givem me they will throw it in dustbin and told me it will get ok by evening but still it is not active i again called to patna office they are asking to submit the document to the shop and i got no of one executive from idea office at jamshedpur named anil his no is[protected] he is not ready to listen anything and telling me that please wait it will get ok please take necessary action.

                                      I am a custmer of Idea mobile since 5 years.I use prepaid card of minimum amount of Rs 222/- being full talk time.But since last four months I get message from Ideacl thanking me for renewing a filmy pack for every week. Two/three times I gave message to them for unsubsribe filmy pack For that I have to waste Rs 3/- every week due to which I loose Rs 12/- otherwise Rs 40 /- out of Rs 222/- Many times I personally told the fact at Idea gallary but in-vain.I am 59 yers old lady & I use the mobile only for phone purchase.Please look into & stop this activation when I am not at all interested>

                                        I've received Idea Postpaid sim from a salesperson of Idea dealers on 10th July, 2011, from Indiranagar, Bangalore, Karnataka. Still now, there is no response on sim no. and activation. I've spent nearly Rs. 400 for sim and nearly Rs.100 for calling these Idea cellular service no. ([protected], [protected] etc.). I am still trying to contact these peoples for my sim status but with zero progress. I feel, the dealers are flirt and of cheaters. I don't mind of loosing my Rs. 500. I just want to warn the peoples to be careful of getting those sim cards. My Idea sim no. being[protected]. Thanking you.
