I keep getting these pre recorded phone calls and sms's from idea everyday. I looked at it as a nuisance initially but once I am on roaming both national and international, each sms and call is costing me money. I called their do not disturb dept at 1909 and was informed by a script reading lady to send an sms to deactivate the service.. But that it would take 45 days!!
45 days to deactivate this unnecessary and forced promotions ! Meanwhile I have no option but to pay roaming charges on all this.
What is most bugging is the helplessness that idea puts its customers in such a situation. And their call center staff are least bothered to either hear or respond to the problem.
Do call on 1909 (toll free) to know what I mean.

    Hi,

    I activated "Do Not Disturb" Service in my Idea SIM 4-5 months back because I was getting 3-4 calls everyday from diffrent bank regarding-Home Loan, credit card, personal loan.... etc.
    But magic is that I'm still getting lots of calls from Banks.
    So in short Idea cellular not able to STOP unwanted calls even you activate "Do Not Disturb"
    Really hopeless service from IDEA Cellular.

    The complaint of the customer cure do not any msg in the phone and other call of the my phone this number presently is my mother but resons is the phone is oprait the incoming call of the recive only of the my famliy member and relation , but idea is bad service i am activate DND service but idea is a bad service this service time maximum time is 45 day &close this servive but this service is regularly started and if complaint the customer care but take this problem of the server after 6day this serive means DND his activated but not a solution 26 date

    The worst ever mobile Web Site when you go on the google Web site and click the DNB or the Idea cellular the web site never opens I really cannot understand why is the mobile company is giving the customers numbers to advertisement users and regarding share markets where I am not intrested in the mid part of the night I am recieving messages which are of no use My mobile Number is [protected] Please Look into the matter or else I will have to make a police complaint on account of harrasment being done to me by idea cellular

    Dear Sir / Madam,

    I'm having a mobile connecton from Idea cellular ltd. I've registered for "do not dstureb" service to avoid unnecessary calls & message. Still the calls & message disturbes me a lot.

    I've complaint in the call centre for the said matter for 3 to 4 times, but everytime the executives from call centre replies that it is in the process and we're working on the complaint.

    My mobile no is [protected] and I want activate the DND service in my number, becasue I receive 4 to 5 calls and unlimited sms for activating so many plan. I do not want any unwanted calls from Banks, insurance compnies, idea service center etc.

      I Arun.S( having mobileno:[protected])complaint against idea customer care 198& 458 in Kerala circle.
      I am an existing customer of idea prepaid idea connection.On the day of 27.05.10,I charged easy Rs.97 for subscribing ur (unlimitedpower of internet on your idea mobile).ur recharge success for Rs.97 came from 3893with balance as mentioned; also mentioning the current balance for calling(separately) .I send SMS, SET to 54671.Then idea replied as S IMEI or S phone from ID-54671. I send S N73,then again reply from idea as I SMEI ,then contacted ur customer care 198.He replied that within 8hrs settings will be given to u and given a message from IZ-SIVR letting my SR No also.After 24hrs I called ur customer care 10 to 12 times, but they were repeatedly disconnecting my call. As a customer for 1& half years Iam totally disappointed & very much frustrated by the customer care idea dealings with me,as ccare idea person not attending my call after repeated calling on 198 and 458. Hence I want immediate action from u for internet setting on my mobile no: [protected] ,otherwise my Rs.97 should be credited on my balance account for calling

        mera name pawan kumar raiger hai. mera idea number [protected] hai . jisme main last recharge 22/5/2010 ko Rs 111 /- ka kiya tha . mere mob. se 26/5/10 ko 1910 hrs per mere no se Rs 61 rupees kat liya gaya tha .jiske baare main mane idea care se sikayat ki thi to wo log batate hai ki main us per gprs us kiya hai jab ki main idea sim se koi gprs use nahi kiya unko batane per bhi wo log maneno ko tyar nahi hai ki wo bolete hai ki Rs 61 /- hum refund nahi kar sakate iske liye main kai baar pareshan ho itna bat karne ke bad bhi wo log manene ke liyetyar nahi unke nodal officer se bhi baat kiya lakin koi reply nahi diya ab iske liye kiya karu.

          I had been using prepaid connection of idea cellular [protected] since around 2 years, while taking connection i had given necessary documents of name Ankit Agrawal.
          Around a week back they had disconnected the services and asked to resubmit the same documents again. I had re-submitted the documents and in 2 days after verification they had re-started the services but today i.e. 29-may-10 they had again disconnected the services.

            Mr.Aditya Birla i think your company is running out of bad time since the coustomer care executives are calling back and giving slangs to coustomer from this number [protected],and their names are laltu ,moumita ,bornali,kousik.They even transfer calls to superwisor without taking the permission of coustomer.Sometimes when calls are transfered the superwisors dosen't pick up the phone and the calls get disconnected.My account is blocked for no reason and i connot even make calls please do something immediately.

                i am jasvant Singh, i have a postpaid SIM account in IDEA celluler.the issue is that since long time i am facing one issue related to the SIM, i am not able to read messages coming in my Inbox, and while trying to open the message it stucks for some time and nothing happends.

                I reported same issue multiple time to the IDEA customer care but thay told to me that our Engineer are not able to resolve the issue , and i have to Visit local idea shop to resolve the issue.

                i visited the local shop but , they told to me that i have to visit IDEA main office for changing the SIM, Why should i waste my time to go there each and every time when the mistake is from company side not from my side?


                Due to this issue i am not able to read messages coming from IDEA company to intimate me that my credit limit is over , resulting my outgoing is getting debbarred.

                multiple time when i was on tour that time my out going was blocked , due to which i faced lots of problem
                i requested to customer care that i am in interier area and not able to find IDEA shop than thay told me that i have to pay bill than only my outgoing can be debbarred.due to such irresponsible response i had major financial losses.

                Now i want to block this No. without payment of bill, this amount is very less as compare to the loss what i had due to above issues.

                Could you please help me on this matter?

                  dear sir/madam
                  i've been using my post paid cell no. [protected] for the last 6 years. it was earlier accounted on my father's name and address.
                  1) as my plan was supposed to expire on march 17th, i got the call from idea in feb this year to opt for the new plan,
                  i asked them to change the ownership of the same number on my name and that too free of cost( i.e. to wave off rs 250). i gave them my details (including my occupation, marital status, etc). and i've opted for the plan rs. 699 annual.
                  they agreed and asked me to submit required documents(including no objection application of my father) which i did. on 5th march mr. hitesh (idea representative) collected the documents from my home.
                  2) then in mid of march i got a call that they received my change of ownership request and documents, but they said that i can't opt for rs 699 plan giving reasons that i'm a house-wife. then i've opted 199 monthly plan. i've been told that corrections in the bill will be done.
                  though i demanded to pay the bill after change of ownership, even then i've paid rs.335 in march through chq. and i had been assured that change of ownership will be done soon.
                  3) these idea people, though calculated bill according to my usage, but they didn't deducted that rs. 699 amount. and since then till now i'm facing the problem to pay overheaded bills.
                  4) in the mean time my outgoing calls were stoped. i was having many problems to get my calls get activated back.
                  in april i again received calls from idea representative. he said that he understood the problem, and i only need to pay rs. 575 (according to him ideally my actual dues till date is rs188. ), the balance amount (i.e. rs. 575-188= 387) will be adjusted in my next bill.
                  5) then on 12th april i paid cash amount on idea's outlet sector 10. but of no use. i after many useless call to idea customer care, i went to their idea showroom again.
                  6) on 24 or 26 ownership was changed on my name. and new bill is raised of amount rs 90. but they haven't mentioned my rs 387.
                  7) on 14th and 18th may again i had words with idea representatives, i raised the querry and asked them to either adjust rs387 to my account or pay back my due. the representative after consulting his senior said that my father will receive the chq (as account was on his name earlier) of balance amount by 10th of june.
                  8) but today instead of balance cheque, my father received a bill of same number of amount rs75 (rs 188-100adjustment).
                  (i should mention again that i've made the payment plz refer point 2, and i too received a bill of this month).

                  i've been tortured by these idea people and i'm fed up of talking the same thing again an again with them.
                  plz tell me how can i come out of this problem. and can i get justice.

                      i purchase idea net setter but very slow connection and no range .what i do ?give the solution for this problem .every month i spend 695RS unlimited .what an idea to solve this problem?
                      Same problem. I called customer care so many times but no solution. I cancelled the connection and bought a Tata Indicom Photon. It is giving me wonderful service. Idea is a company. I spent 2700rs for the netsetter device and its wasted

                        Net20 GPRS plan was activated on my phone without any request from my side
                        and no notification was given to me.

                        It was activated on 13th May 2010 and Rs20 was being deducted from mybalance daily without any notification.

                        It was on 15th i realised that my balance was getting reduced very fast, so
                        i called customer care and asked the reason, then i got to know that gprs
                        plan was activated.
                        I had then asked for closure of this plan and refund of money deducted.

                        Since then daily Rs20 are being deducted and whenever i call customer care,
                        i am told that the request is in process.

                        When i called up customer care, then after listening to my query i was asked
                        to stay on hold and then call was disconnected.
                        It happened twice. I had called on 10:35PM,17May2010 and 10:40PM,17May2010
                        repectively.
                        I hope you record all these calls and i want an explanation why did the
                        call got disconnected.

                        On 21May, at 1:45PM Amit kumar from backend team called me and told that plan has been deactivated but now also money is getting deducted.

                        Its now total 10days(13th to 22nd May) (10*20=Rs200)
                        I have recieved a sms that service is deactivated. On 21st your representative called me and told the same, but now also money is deducted and no refund is being made.

                        Moreover, i want to know whos mistake was it that gprs plan was activated
                        on my phone without any notification and request from my side.

                        This is not the first time it had happened. Last month also similar thing
                        happened and it took almost a week for the money refund.( Below is the
                        attached mail conversation during the similar issue i faced last month)

                        I am using this IDEA connection from 7years and now these kinds of problems
                        have increased.

                        Now i am interested in knowing who is responsible for these mistakes and
                        the rude behavior from customer care representatives, that they just
                        disconnect the call when they have no answer.

                        I had mailed you earlier also on 15May and i got no response.

                        I am sending this conversation to CONSUMER FORUM and other service providers (airtel,bsnl,vodafone)
                        Will update you soon with the CONSUMER COURT's case number and other details.

                            Hello to All,

                            I just have joined Federal-Mogul Patiala Plant, I am in need of mobile connection and idea is our corporate service provider. I logged my request to Miss Dessy - [protected]. I called up and request for corporate coneectionnad ask her for simple no. She demanded Rs. 15000 for choice no. I denied her and ask for normal nos. She made me wait for 3 days, even I was caling every hour but she was not picking the phone. Also I don't have any alternate no. so its become more urgent to avail the sim. On thired day after make me waiting for long she picked the phone and excused for late. I said ok. Then she forced me to pay Rs. 3301/- for any no. I denied and said to provide a normal no. She again made me hang on over the phone and start talking nonsence about me with her boss, "I can clearely listen that". Then the man came innto the picture and abuse me so loud and start to talk nonsence without asking any thing. He also said to pay 3301/- for any no. I was totaly surprise with the behaviour. He asked my department in the company and said thet he can kicked me off from the compay.
                            This dealler of idea is located in Jalandher.
                            So please avoid to go to idea, they all are froud and making fool to the corporate and local peoples.

                                I am using Idea connection from last two year, i purchased a corporate connection on January 2008.
                                On January I migrate postpaid to prepaid. That time I was submit all Xerox copy of the mentioned documents along with Photo.
                                After 15 days submitted again. The service provider without any information closing the connection along with the reason document incomplete.
                                This was happened 5th times and I was submitted document 5th time. Last month they have taken re-signature on the previous document.
                                And now they again bard the number last night without prior notice.
                                This is happened sixth time.
                                Balance in the account is 1000+.
                                When I have balance 90+ they resoled my concerned immediate.
                                When I recharged with 1000/- they addressed and again temporary bard the number again.
                                So my concern is that who is responsible for the problem which faced by myself.

                                I am pawan, student of IET college alwar. I have purchased sim of idea on 11th of sep 2010.sim is blocked now and error shows that temporary hold the services.
                                When I purchased this sim I have submitted all the Xerox copy and mentioned documents along with photo.

                                    I have activate one service LIVE ASTROLOGY on mobile in March'10 but i called to customer care and disabled this service after two days.
                                    Now i am facing the problem that my balance is deducted again and again.It happed four time even though service is unactivated. I have contacted to customer care every time to disable the service. But customer care always said that your service is already disabled but he refused to return the money and give me assurance that it will not happen again.
                                    Today i again (Fourth time ) face the same problem. but customer care is not replying properly and cutting my balance continuously.

                                      I'll purchase idea 3g net setter[protected].i am using idea 2g net setter already but when i use 3g(3.6mbps) net setter it's give same speed of 2g net setter and connect with 236.8kbps connection.
                                      idea company giving wrong advertisement if they are not able to give 3g speed why they are selling 3g data card.
                                      bsnl and tata,reliance also selling high speed device but they sell them because they are able to give speed not fooling there customer this is totally fraud and also if they having a problem of 3g enable area why they sell this device to those people who are not living in these area and 3g net setter not able to receive signal and work only as edge 236.8.

                                      I have purchased Idea Net Setter 3g internet USB modem(postpaid) from Maninagar My Idea shop Ahmedabad 15 days ago. First they took 13 days to start and now it has been started but not working properly. They are claiming it will give you upto 3.5 Mbps speed but I even can not open sites. I have been suffering from this device from last 15 days mentally. I want my money back. Please help me out
                                      I have bought the IDEA Net setter plug n play on 29 Jan’ 10 with the Scheme Rs 749/- prepaid (unlimited – valid for 2 month) from Delhi .

                                      It has not been working since 21st March’ 10. I am constantly in touch with customer care.

                                      First they have informed me that Area was blocked & my complaint is forwarded to technical dept. to reactive which will take 33 hours (working hours).

                                      On 25th March’ 10, I was informed that It is not yet solved & again I have to wait for another 22 hours.
                                      Till now my problem is not yet solved. My 9 days are lost for this.
                                      my name is AAKASH - idea is a total fraudry, fake assurance and money eater, i had bought a netsetter they commited me a speed of 236 kpbs but the speed was only 20 kpbs, i had complained 2 times but first time they just raised 10 kbps and second time they didnt gave me any response, it is a total TO BUY

                                        Around a month back I bought another idea number [protected] begin_of_the_skype_highlighting [protected] end_of_the_skype_highlighting from “tfr 126” and the executive who called me was “Amit”

                                        I bought it for 1700 Rs, a post-paid connection with an advance rental of 2 yrs “the 998 plan” so I gave my photo and the amount to the executive and the id proof was mailed timely to them.

                                        The services were started timely and I was even using the number. But after a week or two an executive called me and asked me to mail the proof again and I did it again on time as he said.

                                        Then they called me up and said they not getting the proof clear in the mail so I asked them to send their executive and take the proof from me,

                                        But they were there only to collect cash from me and rest was my tension (they said me that my residence was not in their executives route but it was in his route at the time of money collection) that’s the customer service expected from idea and cost of customer loyalty towards the company

                                        As they barred my services to that number and when I am calling at that number its saying “please check the number u have dialled”


                                        INSTEAD OF COLLECTING THE ID FROM ME THEY BARRED MY SERVICES AS IF THEY WERE THERE ONLY FOR THE SAKE OF COLLECTING THE MONEY

                                        This is a request to u to take a “strict action against that company and give a favour in return of the problems faced by me”
                                        I would wait for your reply as soon as possible and a strict action against that company.
