Idea Cellular (prepaid) started giving per sec call from last year. I had taken 2 numbers. [protected],[protected]. Number being in series , were used by my father and myself. All of sudden we started getting some jokes and cricket updates without activating any service. Since we are heavy users we never use to check balance.This went on for 3-4 months when I realized that they have been deducting 10 rs per day for some stupid daily pack of theirs. Immediately I called up their service center had a heated discussion and got all EXTRA services dis-continued. To my utter dismay I got an sms at the month end that they have deducted some 50 rs now for VAS. This left me furious at no end. Its not about money, but the trust that I have in a big company.

Are these people THIEVES. Just because we don't want to change the number, they are literally stealing the money. Customer care is so pathetic that they keep on repeating same lines which is utter non-sense.

I think and hope that a big brand like IDEA doesn't need to retort to these sort of things to earn money. Else they should declare themselves as thieves as first place.

    Hi,
    I was using your netsetter service for around 7-8 months. After 7-8 months, as it was of no use thus I requested to disconnect my service.
    Your customer care officer called me and ask me to convert to Prepaid, I denied for it.
    Then another customer care officer called me and told me that we can convert it to a regular prepaid card. I agreed on this.

    Then on August 11, 2010, I visited your Law College, Pune CCC for migration and clearing the postpaid bill.
    I still have not received my deposit of Rs. 250 paid at the time of activating netsetter connection.
    The lady there gave me a SIM card and told me that it will be activated by August 16.
    I made a top up of Rs. 10, but no service.

    Then yesterday I visited the Law College CCC again. She asked me to recharge for Rs. 201 for activating Life time card.
    I paid Rs. 201 and got a balance of Rs. 180
    Incoming was activated for it at the same time. But outgoing was not activated.

    So I visited your Law College CCC again.
    Today they told me that your card can be used as a Netsetter Card only and no outgoing calls will be made.
    I was shocked to hear that. I was duped with a word of Sorry.
    If your company can keep its words then please provide a solution for it.

    I only want a regular prepaid card or
    else refund my Rs. 201 (along with the refund of deposit of Rs. 250 for netsetter) and disconnect my card.

      i think idea has the poorest customer care, though they says the best customer care. they do not provide any solution to the problem"bas chalta hai".

      and at last it should not be "CUSTOMER CARE" as they have started charging money for their so called help. it should be changed to "CUSTOMER SUPPORT" instead.

      HI All,

      I am Vishal, having [protected] as a prepaid number of IDEA. Everything is fine as a connection.

      I have two points to discuss around.

      1. IDEA people send useless messages daily but they never inform about the change in any tarriff. I measn to say that they change their plans as and when they want without informing the customers. I don't think this should be in practice by such a reputed company.

      2. My second concern is that IDEA customer care is ridiculas, they seldom receive calls. I beleive they are paid for cutting our calls. Everytime when I call to the Customer care everything goes fine while on IVR, but as soon as the call gets transferred, call gets disconnected. My question id What is the use of having 24hrs customer care when they are not ready to take calls.

      i m manindra jay my mob no. is [protected] (prepaid connection) my problem is that my mob no. is deactiveted due to some reason, so please activate my mob. no. when other user r call to me, it get's a reply ...out of service, my validity priod is november 2009, this time i m not receiving any idea signal, so please activate my no. last one month my mobile is dead due to this reason i m not using my sim, then when inserted my sim this time there is no any idea signal r receiving so please activate my mobile no.

      i am not able to download idea tv please help me last 15 days by nvr helph by any exectiove plz tak sutable action
      I am using Idea Netsetter Datacard. My number is [protected].
      I have recharged my number by Rs. 299/- and have got the confirmation message of the same. But my card is not getting connected through the Netsetter software which comes with the datacard and there is no message also.
      Since i am out of aligarh for the past few days and havee ben trying to call customer care, there is no response from the customer care executive.After trying a lot, i got to speak to one of the customer care executive from Andhra Customer Care center. This guy doesnt know that one need to call 12345 from idea number only. he is saying one can call 12345 from any number to reach idea customer care number. Also i have been trying very hard to speak to customer care from delhi/aligarh but everytime call is getting disconnnected.
      This is the worst customer care i have ever been through.
      Please look into this.
      sir this to inform you that i akshay kapoor having idea number [protected]. my customer care doesnt receive my call. they cut the call every time. i have tried more than 20 times. and the big problem is that we can call them once in a day only.
      so its my request to customer care to please get in touch with me as soon as possible, i am having lot of problems regarding network idea.

        I make My idea prepaid online recharge via idea web site. Last 4 or 5 time my payment is sucess but amount is not credited in my account. After each payment i get a sms your payment is sucess but due to techinical your recharge is fail. Each time them sent money back to my bank account after 8 days.I feel its a cheeting from idea

        I have made an online recharge of Rs 298 2g net pack via idea website . The account through which credit had been made showed a message of transaction being made and that the payment was a success but the respected idea number did not get the recharge done.done. Following is the transaction id and details of the recharge, in the image attached below.

          my name is swati srivastava.MY NUMBER IS [protected] .i had activated a stv plan on the 8th july 2010 which was of rs.38 and it was for 84 free std minutes for 1 month.
          But this tariff stopped working on the 23rd of july and when i consulted customare care on 12345....the agent told me that he was completely unaware of this stv plan and there was no such tariff activated on my number.
          I HAD GOT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS TARIFF FROM IDEA TOLL FREE 500160.

          i had another tariff activated for idea-to-idea local calls @10 paise for one month on 15 july 2010 but in this tariff from 5pm to 10pm the call artes are @30 paise.....but this tariff also doesn't work at times.
          YOUR CUSTOMER CARE AGENTS DO NOT HAVE PROPER UPDATED DATABASES.

          I HAD MADE A CALL ON THE 23 JULY 2010 ON [protected] AT 8:30PM FOR 36 SECONDS...AND ACCORDING TO MY TARIFF OF RS.36 THE AMOUNT OF 30 PAISE SHOULD HAVE BEEN DEDUCTED...BUT 50 PAISE WAS DEDUCTED......."WHEN CONTACTED CUSTOMER CARE HE TOLD ME........MAM YOU MADE YOUR LAST CALL AT 4:30PM AND I DO NOT AHVE THE UPADTED CALL RECORD"

          PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER AS IT IS A GREAT CAUSE OF CONCERN FOR YOU PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR CUSTOMERS IF YOU CHEAT THEM THIS WAY.

          WE WILL NOT HAVE PROBLEMS CHANGING OUR SIM CARDS.
          i hope you will look into the matter as soon as possible.

            my name is imran, i like ur idea service very-much, iam using idea service from last 3years its never given trouble to me yet.but the problem is present now iam in saudi-arabia, i have carried my idea sim with me, present now the idea sim is with me in saudi arabia, the reason is when i have done on my mobile it asked pin code i entered the wrong pin and it became blocked, so please sir tell me how i can get un-blocked my sim i dont have puk code, its a very emergency to me bcoz my many of contacts is in sim.the number is [protected] and the sim number is (SIM no.               Sir, I recently Buy your 3G IDEA NET SETTER. But I Unable to work. Because the signal is very poor. But I am 1K.M. away from your Mobile Tower. 1st time connecting through net setter, the signail stays good. but after 5 minuits the signal goes down. Do something Sir. I already submit a complain in idea jorhat office. But no result & no any positive respond.                 I have idea prepaid connection bearing No.[protected].Recently I am being flooded by bogus messages from' Say Idea, [protected]@' and I attempted to stop all these bogus messages by sending message to stop the services.But failed to do the needful.They have deducted Rs 30.00 on 23.07.2010.I am disgusted and going to surrender the connection.I reiterate to stop of sending unwanted messages.As and when a reply would be sent to me I shall think of continuing the connection.

                  With due respect i hereby beg to state that a lady from idea office called me on 20th july and told me that is idea is giving some kind of offer on my number([protected]) as a result of which i shall be getting free dialer tunes for the coming 2 months.i even got assurance from her that there will be no charges for this.And today(22nd july) after subscribing,RS 50 has been deducted from my account.

                  So my sincere request to you is to kindly look into this matter and refund my money.you can also check that call if it has been recorded to ensure that she told me that there shall be no charges for this subscription.And i would also request you to dismiss these kinds of people from job whose improper actions are causing undue rumours about IDEA services.

                  With due respect i hereby beg to state that a automatic call from idea office regarding caller song on 6th March '2011 and told me that is idea is giving some kind of caller song on my number([protected]) as a result of which i shall be getting free dialer tunes. By mistake I have push the button.And yesterday (7th March;2011) we have been recharge RS 50 after recharge we will check our balance the balance of Rs.8/- something Rs.35/- has been deducted from my account.

                  So my sincere request to you is to kindly look into this matter and refund my money.you can also check that call. We have no required any caller tune. You are requested to please deactiavate caller tune from my mobile no.[protected]. Also you are requested to please dismiss all the calls regarding promotional advertisement like caller tune and any other etc.

                  Please look into the matter i shall be very thankful to you. I hope you will consider our request and refund the amount deducted by you from my mobile and deactivate the caller tune from my mobile no.[protected]

                    Idea Cellular — extra charges

                    my cell no is [protected]. the companys one executive contacted me and offered a add on card FREE .he said though it is gold no i will not have to pay anything extra.now ihave received abill in which they have charged 1000 rs plus taxes and this according to them is the charges for gold no of add on card. i offered to return the number as well as card, but they have stoped my out going call after refusing ao accept my telephone bill minus extra charges . will TRAI HELP?

                      I WAS OUT OF GUJRATH STATE FROM 16/07/2010 TILL 22/07/2010 MORNING.
                      FROM 17 TO 21 I WAS IN MAHARASHTRA.
                      I RECEIVED INVOICE NO.[protected] DTD 12 JUL.2010,MENTIONING DUE DATE FOR PAYMENT 25 JUL 2010.

                      MY QUESTIONS FOR THEM ARE:

                      1) MINE IS POST PAID PLAN AND DUE DATE IS 25 JULY 2010 ,THEN WHY DID THEY BARRED (TERMINATED)MY MOBILE SERVICES FROM 17/07/10?
                      2) AS I WAS OUT OF STATE ,I VISITED THEIR COMPANY OFFICE IN SANGLI(NEAR RAM MANDIR,SANGLI,MAHARASHTRA),THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT GUJARAT OFFICE.AS MY NO. IS FROM GUJARAT CIRCLE.THEY WERE HIGHLY UNCOOPERATIVE AND RUDE IN TALKS.THIS CAUSED NOT ONLY MENTAL HARASSMENT TO ME BUT WASTE OF PRECIOUS TIME.WHO WILL PAY FOR THIS?
                      3) AS THEY SUDDENLY BARRED MY MOBILE SERVICES(INCOMING/OUTGOING/SMS),I MISSED MANY INCOMING CALLS. CALLERS AND ME BOTH WERE IN MISERABLE STATE BECAUSE OF THIS.WHO WILL PAY FOR THIS ?
                      GROSS NEGLIGENCE BY SUCH A REPUTED COMPANY IS NOT TOLERABLE,HENCE I AM DEMANDING COMPENSATION OF RUPEES TEN THOUSAND ONLY(RS.10000=00),TOWARDS MENTAL HARASSMENT,WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY(AS IT COMPELLED TO PURCHASE ANOTHER SIM FOR COMMUNICATION.)CAUSED TO ME.

                      idea cellular service — Sudden barring of call services

                      I Renuka Moitra,Aged-82,On[protected],bought an Idea sim-card from "BADSHAH MOBILE BAZAR" in 34,Kali charan Ghosh road Kolkata-700050,after duly submitting photocopies of required documents and a passport size photo. After which my sim was activated and i started using it. Next i recharged my Idea no. [protected] with rs65 e-top-up consecutively within three days.Suddenly on[protected],i receive a message from the service provider that "my Idea no is getting barred owing to negative verification results". I contacted Idea's customer care and they asked me to submit my documents all over again. I did the same the very next day,but didnt get any results. Again i contacted Idea's Customer care,and now they asked me to re-submit those documents again at "My Idea center". There i came to know that MY number has not been registered with them and they cant help me with it. Now my sim has rs109 balance,and i am unable to use it. I feel cheated by the service providers. And i need justice for me as an aged woman.
                      Please consider my plea and make some provisions to activate my sim-card again.

                        I have sim card of Idea Cellular Services and number is [protected].
                        I am getting daily un-necessary SMSs from number IZ-55456. It asks to participate in some quiz. Then sends frequent quiz questions from same number IZ-55456. I am not at all interested in this and my SMS inbox gets flooded with these unwanted SMSs.

                        Please block this number IZ-55456 from sending SMSs to my mobile number.

                          I have IDEA prepaid Number [protected] .When I was travelling abroad suddenly calls were blocked stating reason that Papers were Incomplete.I asked them time and submitted papers to their delaer loctaed at Warje -Siddivinayak Cellular.( Phone No[protected].

                          The event started on 18th June 2010 and service was restored only on 07/07/2010.Does this time justified ?

                          I still ignored this as I believe that it could happen.

                          Again on 18th of this month July ,all calls are blocked stating same Paers Incomplete reason.

                          Now I am really peesed off for whole this so called damn "Idea" service .and I truly understnd meaning of Inverted "I" what it stands for !!

                          If they are truly customer friendly company they must apologise and restore my service in next 1 hour .

I have recharged Idea net setter usb modem (no [protected]) in may 2010 (Dated between 20 may to 27 may 2010 date is exact not clear) from delhi of amout of Rs 1950.that's service is unlimited surfing and downloading for 3 month. it work properly till 5 july 2010, After that it not work.i complaints for this to the idea service providear and idea dealer in new ashok nagar, delhi-96 also many times.but my problem is not solved.

                            Idea GPRS NET Setter — Net Setter is not working properly

                            Net Setter GPRS of IDEA Cellular company No.[protected] in the name of my brother
                            Vikas Agarwal is not working properly despite several compalints.

                              I am very much annoyed with the services and response of IDEA.
                              The CUSTOMER CARE is casual and the GRIEVANCE CELL never replies.
                              The store Manager says " I WOULD NOT BE ENTERTAINED IN HIS STORE" for follow up of my long pending. I have applied on 01/04/10 for change of my ownership and initially they have misplaced the documents and made my CPV negetive. After resubmitting and confirming the positive CPV, Its almost a month but no response. I have called numorous times but no fruitful response. I am forwarding the poor response of IDEA through mail communication.

                              Kindly think twice before going for IDEA connection.

                              Its again 3 days after the call but no conformation from your side. Is it really that problamatic? Kindly let me know if it cannot be done. I cant wait every day for your confirmation, its too long for now like almost more than 3 months. Its the hieghts.

                              OVERNITE, code-263. When I contacted IDEA Customer Care, I learnt that the CPV
                              was negetive but the dealer claimed they sent a "positive CPV through
                              tickler[protected]" and also shown to me on their system. After I made the
                              dealer speak to the Customer care, they have come to a conclusion that the mail
                              had to be sent again.

                              After some days when I enquired, the status was the same. Again I had to call
                              the Customer care and visited dealership. Iam advised to apply one moretime
                              with all supporting documents. I again did the same and submitted on 29/06/2010
                              and the application no is : 1563387.

                              The dealer said that the Positive CPV was sent on the same day and in 24 hrs
                              the updation would be completed.

                              Till now it is not done and I had to visit the Dealer more than 6 times for
                              this process and call customer support numorous times. The dealer even said that
                              ""I shall not be entertained to visit his dealership which was very
                              rude. This kind of dealers the IDEA is appointing"".

                              Kindly clear me the scenario. If it is not being done, As a customer of IDEA
                              for 8 long years, "I WILL BE FORCED FROM IDEA ITSELF TO MIGRATE TO OTHER
                              SERVICE PROVIDERS NOW AND ALSO MY FAMILY MEMBERS WILL BE SHORTLY BECAUSE WE ARE
                              IN CUG"
                              I must say "THE DEALERSHIP WAS SO RUDE AND THE CALL CUSTOMER CARE WERE NOT

In fact, I will not state this as a mistake committed by people but purely it is absurd and unfriendly behavior of concerned website.

                                  PLEASE USE ideas WHILE USING IDEA SITE. THAT SITE IS GOOD. WE DONT HAVE BRAIN. ADD 91 BEFORE YOUR NUMBER. 91 IS OUR COUNTRY CODE. Please write me for any technical assitance in this IDEA MMS matter.

                                      i went to idea outlet to deposit my bill i had not change , so idea outlet executive told me to wait , i did wait there but there . then after executive got change i asked to deposit my bill so idea executive treated me so rude i asked to deposit my bill politely . so he was abusing
                                      i called to idea customer care but they did not give any resolution .
                                      i called to nodal officer of NCR Region but they did not pick my call
                                      i m sending mail to nodal officer but they are not replying i m going to sue to Idea cellular within two days if they don't give reply

                                      Sir i really don't like that Behavior towards me.i did not deposit my bill Now i want permanent disconnection for My three Idea numbers . Kindly revert me back and do need full for me.

                                        I, K.Hari R/O LIG-276, BHEL, R.C.PURAM, Hyd-502032 and I am using my post paid connection from past 3 years when I went to idea showroom for postpaid to prepaid migration they are demanding to pay the otherwise they wont accept for migration and today I visited to GAYATHRI DEALER in the madina guda, Chanda nagar and given all documents they are demanding to pay my bill, otherwise they are not accepting my application, here I have a question for the idea authorities, while I am applying for post paid to prepaid my unbilled amount is 295/- and actually my monthly plan is 149 rupees in that I have 18000 seconds free and 200 sms free, when we use 1 second then our unbilled will be generated to 1 paise after 18000 seconds our unbilled is 180/- rupees and when we use free 200 sms then it also add to our unbilled 50 paise 1 sms and if we use total 18000 seconds(180) + 200 sms(100) then our total unbilled is 280 rupees, when our bill generated our bill is only 149 because our plan is 149 in that we get 18000 seconds + 200, but today I went to idea showroom and I have already paid 202 rupees 2 months earlier and now my bill is 295/- and actually I sent messages 90 so they have to deduct 45 rupees (each sms is 0.50 paise) + in 18000 Seconds they should deduct 31 rupees but instead of deducting they are demanding to pay total amount that is 295/- rupees actually I have to pay is 230 rupees that is as on date 16/07/2010 but they are not accepting that point, even I told them after generating total amount if any access amount is there that I will pay that also I told them but they are not listening my word at all, here I am questioning to the authorities when ever customer are requesting for postpaid to prepaid/ deactivation there must be generator but that facility is not available with Idea and here I am questing to the authorities that In many Adds they are showing don’t waste paper all should be with phone or internet I am requesting to the authorities from 10 days for post paid migration but they are not responding to my mail, even I called to idea customer care also they are telling to go idea office for deactivation this should be condoned.

                                        Here all will question me that after prepaid migration if I did not paid the previous post paid amount that’s why they are collecting at the time of applying but here also I have question for them those who ask the stupid question, Yes if I Pay 295 rupees after paying total amount they are possessing for prepaid migration it will take approximately 24 hours in this 24 hours if I called to other countries if my bill is 2000/- rupees then who will pay this, this also should be paid by me only. I request you to migrate my post paid connection to prepaid immediately all the documents have submitted in the Gayathri showroom In Chanda nagar (madina guda).


                                        Finally I am clarifying you that what ever the excess bill is there that will be paid by me after bill information so kindly migrate immediately,
