I am in receipt of offer from idea cellular viz. IZ-Free TT 501.. based on this, they asked me questions one by one and deducted Rs.3/- for answers submitted via TT 56363. But, to my utter surprise, they continue asking questions and thereby eat away my Talk time worth Rs.33/-(for 11 questions asked to which I replied all correct answers). all officials and CEOs of Idea cellular must be punished for this fraudulent and misuse of public money. I am contemplating filing suit in a consumer court for award of compensation for this uruly behaviour and misuse of my money to the tune of Rs.1 lacs...

    I am a valued customer of Idea Pre-paid services. I am holding an Idea-Prepaid Mobile No. [protected] in the name of Mr. Yogesh Sharma, R/o Village-Sisola Khurd, P.O.-Jani Khurd, Meerut.

    Sir, This is to bring to your kind notice that on my said mobile no., there is a service activated namely T-20 cricket update (iw-55456). As far as I remember that I never applied for this type of service in past still it is activated on my mobile. I requested so many times on your customer care services for deactivation of this service but no favorable response received yet. As the company officials wanted to know the service ID. As I did not applied for this service, I do not know the service ID exactly. For availing this service, Rs. 5/- are dedected per day from my account balance. I am getting to much of loss of money.

    I request you to kindly look into the matter at your earliest and deactivate this service as it is wastage of my money.

    Prepaid connection of idea — not providing things as per Advt.

    I purchase a pre paid plan phone No. [protected] in the first week of April 2008 after going through an advt. in news paper. As per Advt. alongwith two years validity one in built STV for Rs. 69/- and one paper STV for Rs. 69/- was to be provided. However, paper STV for Rs. 69/- was not provided by the dealer till now.

    Please look into the matter and advise me immediately.

    IDEA/PREPAID — Deactivation of dialertone without any intimation

    Dear Sir/Madam
    My name is Sushil Ostwal and my prepaid no. is [protected]. I called u to custmer care on Feb.8, 2009 for the information of DND but he deactivated my Dialertone while I did not say anything about my dialertone. After that i called, Mr. Sorabh attended my call and talk with me very Doubtfully. Again I called and talk with Supervisor Mr. Deepak. He checkout my feedback and made promise to Reactivate my dilartone whithout deduction of my account balance. After that I waited for 2 days but unable to get any rivert. After that I talk to Mr. Sarabjeet. Vinneet, Deepak(Supervisors) so many time but they not denied me but did not give any sufficint answer.

    Idea prepaid connection — Idea's Illegal Charging for services.

    1. As I am using Idea Connection no.[protected] (Delhi Region). Once I activated a dialer tone. Now I want to deactivate that. But when I dial 4444 or 12345, getting only IVRS options and no option to talk to their Executive.
    2. I never subscribed for Love Qoutes services but they send without conformation and deduct balance from December onwards.
    3. They charge roaming when I receive a Idea call on roam as other companies don't .I can't understand their resion why they make so many calls from IVRS repeatedly over 1 to2 hours.
    4. When I call that no.[protected] an IVRS recording in a lady voices comes and then call disconnects and deduct the balance about Rs.8 . I tried two times and lose about Rs. 16.


    As I am very frustated using Idea connection and your policies about customer care, I have suffered a lot due to this. I need all compensation for this.

    they deactivated my number and sold the sim to new person telling i didnt recharge for more money in the past 3 months... i agree if that is their rule.. but they have no justification in taking my balance amout of about 350 rs.. if they were decent enough they would have refunded the money and sold my number after that?...Does Aditya Birla needs to make money in this way by cheating poor people??

      I was one of the very few customers who had no other option than to purchase an Escotel prepaid connection in[protected] since Escotel and BPL were the only providers during that time. I paid Rs 3000 in advance and later converted my connection to postpaid with the advance money still intact with Escotel.

      Later the worse happened when idea took over Escotel. Maybe due to my worst luck, I did another stupidity of purchasing an add on sim for my sister by making an additional payment of Rs 500/- as advance. This was in 2006. Now my sister wants the SIM to be cancelled and her money back.

      The SIM was as it is cancelled on request but no money was refunded.. After a month of talking with Idea, I received a message from officials that no money would be refunded unless I cancel my parent account as well. To add up, they also made a point clear that whatever advance I paid to Escotel was not in records and will never be refunded.

      So I paid 3500 in advance for the services, with an agreement that I would be refunded the advance on cancellation of respective SIMs and now the service provider assures me that i will be given Rs500 as refund only when I cancel my parent sim as well. This is how the Idea Network works....

      Infact what an idea sirji.....

      i was payed my full bill and applied for close the connection of [protected]. company's excutive told me that you will receive your refund amount in 40-45 days. but i have not receive so please solve my querry.

          I have been using my mobile with Idea since 1999.

          On 4th May 2010 when I received a call in the morning from Idea Cellular Office, I choose to buy their Data Card. Instantly I started getting phone calls at lightning speed from Mr Sai Prasad. He showed so great interest in delivering the data card at the earliest that I had to leave my office at 3pm and come to home since he said that they would only deliver at the postal address only.

          Their person came at 3.15pm and after breaking the seal and loading it on my laptop, he said that the data card shall be activitated within 12 hours. This was confirmed by Mr Sai Prasad over the phone. I was given a receipt of Rs 1999 on some piece of paper.On insisting for proper receipt Mr Sai Prasad said that he would Email it by today evening (Which never came so far).

          From 5th May 2010 I started calling them to know the status of my activation.I was told that it is under process and will take 2 days. When I tried to call Mr Sai Prasad,I was told that he is on leave today.

          On 6th May I again tried to call Mr Sai Prasad but in vain.

          On 7th May,I lost my temper when it was tolled that the activation process has just began and it shall take time. By now Mr Sai Prasad's stopped talking my phone calls and whenever I tried calling him continiously, he put his phone "off".

          On 8th May (today), first I was told that the activation will take time, I insisted on speaking to the Supervisor which they initially did not gave the connection. When they did, some gentlemen assured me that activation will be done within hours. Later he called me and informed that all activitation is done and I can use my data card. But it never started. I called up 198 and Mr John came on line. After explaining to him, he said that full activation is not yet over and it will take time.Than I at once called at 12345 and to my utter shock I was informed that full activation is available on my data card.

          Well, I am not aware when the luck will come to me but one thing has been proved by Idea Cellular that they have become "Money Catcher than Service Providers"

          Thats my Idea on Idea Cellular.

            I am using IDEA data card. On the lable they were maintained 600 kb of internet receving byets but we received onle 1 to 1.3 kb. Dont stick lie lable on the data card.

              Dear Sir,

              My name is Dushyant Mishra and I was using Idea Cellular post paid Mobile No. [protected] at Delhi. Suddenly on february i got a bill for Rs. 3000 approx. for using GPRS into my mobile, which according to me was wrong. I called so many times to call centers of Idea but again and aging i used to get the same answer that i have used it and i will have to pay the outstanding amount and they were not ready to listen anything against the bill.

              After some days i got a final call from idea that my total outstanding amount was around 5800 Approx. for which i said i would be paying it within some time because i was at some other place at that point of time.

              They did'nt agreed with the point and fter some time i used to get Humaliting calls from Mr. Sameer Yadav who said he is a lawyer from some court.

              They started calling my freinds and relatives, i requested them not to this because in any case i would not default and if the bill is genuin, i will pay the complete outstanding amount due on me.

              Next day itself, they again started calling my relatives and friends saying i am a defaulter and they started humaliting themand me.

              I want to register a complain against them, specially against Mr. Sameer Yadav whose No. is [protected] who has given humaliting calls.

                I am Thakkar krunal babubhai , i was taking a post paid plan from idea cellular on 26/04/2010 from that plan i was giving 250 rupees and my receipt no. is TFR266/09-10/1554 AND NOW almost ten days gone but still my no. is not activated, i tried around 1000 times to ask when my no. is activated but they were not giving me proper response to me.
                Ex. name is vikas and his team leader name is preeti and her mob. no. is [protected] and they both are forcing me. if you are not purchase 2 more post paid plan from idea than we are not able to activate your previous no.

                PLZ TAKE ACTION AGAINST HIM /HER

                  I am a subscriber of Idea Cellular (Maharashtra & Goa circle) - Prepaid services. From 20 April 2010 onwards I have been noticing abrapt deduction of balance. On 07 May 2010 I decided to enquire about it with their customer care (Toll free no. 12345), which shamelessly told that a "summer contest" service has been activated in my account from 13 April 2010, and for which Rs. 5 per day has been deducted from my account. I was completely taken aback, as neither I ACTIVATED such service, nor I used this service. On insisting that I have never booked such service, they kept telling me that the activation was done from my end, which is a BALANT LIE. Same reply came from their customer grievance cell (No. 198 from Idea mobiles). They have forcefully taken my money, this is GOONDAISM. I suspended the service on 07 April 2010. But the question is I have lost 23 days x Rs 5 / day = Rs. 115 (Rupees One Hundred and Fifteen), which I want back, and this is my appeal to your honorable bench. They did not give any evidence other than just telling that I have activated it, but how did I activated it? The answer was not given.

                  I am sure, if this could happen to me, then there are many others who are been duped in the same manner by the same company, where the services are activated without the knowledge of the user and the user is forced to pay for it. I strongly believe, you should take it seriously and save the citizens of this country been looted by this Idea Cellular, by delivering an apt justice.

                  I am facing the same problem. I dont know how "MCI Alternative day pack" is activated on my mobile phone. Every second day they deduct Re. 1 from my account. I am really sick of IDEA cellular.

                    I Have a Idea GSM no.[protected] one day (on 1-5-2010 at 12:30 PM) I have received a phone call from some person he told me that he is from Idea company and he told me that idea give me free internet surfing unlimited and I can enjoy this service than I open my WAP/GPRS and start chat on my NIMBUZZ account and start chat for only two minutes but after 4 days on 5-5-2010 I have chaecked my balance but service provider told me that I have no balance for call even I have more then 90 Rs. in may account before then but after that I have checked my balance but my balance is -2.82 paisa than I call to a customer care [protected] he told me that u r using wap internet service continuesly then I told him I just receive a phone call by your side u say that net surrfing is free on my number than he told me we have no information of this type of promotions then I realize my mistake on 1-5-10 some person is hack my mobile balance through internet wap or from other sources.                     A mail is come on my id on 6-sep-2011,from RBI/Ben/9,tht they have to pay me some amt, in crores(I dnt remember exact amt) ,and for receiving this amt i hv to pay 10,500 rs.to rbi and hv to fill a information form..I knw this is fraud b'coz RBI doesn't pay individual..so i delete this msg,suddely in between my user name changed and my password didn't work..i think this is a new way of hacking..this happened two time continousely(When i did signout and sign in).i dnt knw where to complaint,,bt i knw this site ,so i submitt my complain to this site.tc

                      I bought data card of mobile no. [protected] on 11th feb 2010 from Idea Shop Palwal, and my dealer told me that you will get benifits of Rs. 600 plan in Rs. 300 per month for 3 months and i used that till 20th April and i had payed all bills, but my services terminated after 20th April without any intimation.
                      Regarding that i had talked to customercare from my mobile no. [protected], but they did't provided me even a single information regarding my service termination.
                      Due to this kind of poor services provided by you i'm facing a lot of problem and mental disturbence as i'm unable to do my important works for whom i had hired your services.
                      As due to problem from your end, provide me the grace period of the days during which services are bared.
                      I think your organisation is customer oriented and you will attend my problem as soon as possible, and intimate me for the same so as i'm assured from your end.

But still they have not sent me the gprs setting. i went to idea service center they told me that they dont have the setting for W910i (sony errecsson) phone. Now pls tell me what to do?

                        Idea Cellular — GPRS not activated

                        Hi,
                        My mobile no [protected]. I have ported to Idea since 3 weeks and had taken a GPRS plan of Rs.98 for a month. However since over 3 weeks and Multiple complaints lodged, the GPRS service is still not activated on my cell. Every time i call, they say the service will start in 24 hours, but neither it starts nor they call back giving any reason for the same.

                        A resolution on the above asap will be greatly appreciated.

                        One of my close friend, who is also from Mumbai recently switched from Airtel to Idea, while everything is working good but not the GPRS. He has tried many times connecting to customer care and lodging complains but the issue is not yet resolved since past 3 - 4 weeks.

                        I have suggested him to contact Idea's Nodal Officer. There is no other way out.

From last 5 months i logged complain regarding my netsetter hangging & speed problem on MARC Associated more than 20 times, but their is no any response from company side.                             I have recently got prepaid cellphone connection # [protected] from Idea Cellular.
                            Whenever I connect to a landline or another Idea cell number they say that your voice is not audible. The call also gets disconnected every time.There are strange shrieking voices during conversation and the calling party's voice also pauses starts intermittantly.This happens with each and every call.Every time I call customer care it says "the executive is busy" and call is automatically disconnected,without giving me an opportunity to talk to the executive.Very sorry state of affairs.

                              Dear Sir, I have prepaid no. of idea celluler in Haridwar (uttrakhand) from Last one year. At the time of money recharging mobile amout deducted automatically. I have complaint to customer care many time for the same but i could not get satisfactory answer from them & amount deduction became continue .They told me about some entertainment scheme applied on my mobile,So i give request them to stop them immediately.But amount deduction is still continue.                               My name is Vinod Kumar Jain from Faridabad (Haryana)


                              I am using one IDEA prepaid No. [protected] from last more than one year and just suffring with the pathitic services by the idea. They are deducting amount from my prepaid balance every month by activated many services, for those services i never registered in IDEA. now I think that we are earning only for these companys not for our family and i am shocked the Govt is not doing anything for stopping this. I get shocked when I get to know that the two VAS are activated in my Mobile Number from 22nd & 29th of April for those I have never ever requested to IDEA, pls help me for returning my amount which they have deducted.

                              and Now I think that we should donate some amount from our hard working money to IDEA CELLUAR Company for sttoping all this things.

[protected]which is post paid connection at present. i want to change my service from post paid to prepaid & in the same way i have been trying from last 3 months but success not found. i m harassed by your local office & no satisfactory response from ur customer care executives . c.c. execut. have different statement at different times e.g. today first time when i contact ms. kanchan (c.c. execut) at approx. 2.45 pm then she told me that she want to talk with local idea office staff. then in the same try second time my call attended by ms. pooja (c.c. exev.) at 3.05pm. as the same day & told her my whole problem but she didn't ready to talk with local idea office to solve my problem & disconnected my phone.

                                at the end of local idea office,first time in feb. 2010 concerned person mr. manoj & shekhar told me that at this time my no. can't change from post to prepaid due to mid of month then after 15 days i m repeat my try then mr. manoj told me at present applications for changing post to prepaid is already very high so it can make next month. now in the same try i m again in last of april contact the office & submitt my whole formal document which is required from mr ( my photo id &one photo & one application) after all these things result is not satisfactory. he says that a mail is make it but cant say howmuch time taken by it.

                                i m not want to change my no.but i m harassed by ur poor & cheap service for changing this connection. if i m notfound any satisfactory response from ur end then i m helpless to take any legal step in the aforesaid case.

                                  Idea cellular has been charging me for dialer tones, unnecessary messages etc. when I have not requested for activation of dialer tone and other unnecessary messages to my mobile.Inspite of calling up several times and complaining about this..no action has been taken. I am unnecessarily being charged for all this nonsense. This is absolute looting ! Please help me recover all the charges debited to my account

                                  Idea — About dialer tone which i have not requested

                                  Yesterday night at 12.20 am i got message from idea showing "The selected song has been activated as your dialer tone"
                                  But i never select any song and i never request for the same.
                                  I dont want to use this dialer tone facility but they r forcing it on me.
                                  And before some days they havve deducted balance for using gprs on my mobile but i already have
                                  Broadband at my home so why i sould use gprs on mobile.
                                  I think there is huge problem in their database and i am suffering from it.
                                  Also their promotional messages are headache for me.i am tired of receiving their meassage.
                                  If someone can change this please help me.

                                  da same thng had happened 2me aswel.. n i tried 2complaint but they simply put da blame on me.. my money ws gone so i thot y not set a decent tone.. i did set a new tone n den after 15days it got disconnected on its own.. so i wasted alot of money on this..
                                  den again i tried 2complaint n the person asked me 2hold while he transfered my case 2a senior official.. i waited 4more than half an hr but no1 answered.. its quite disturbin 2knw hw they treat customers..
                                  as for the calls they mak a thousand times.. u can disable those by callin the customer care n they'l ask u 2 msg a code.. atleast thats a relief..
                                  Before few days a dialar tone has been activated in idea card . In the same way an another scheme relating astrology was activated. I have never activated these schemes. i even complained about the same but reply was neutral from your side and as well as i was forced to use use them as charges were deducted from my account

                                    On 3/03/2010 i had activated the ISD calling package on my post paid connection [protected]. According to the plan i was supposed to be charged at 1.99 Rs per minute, When i recieved my bill IDEA CELLULAR charged me 6.44 Rs. When i sought clarification they said i was intimated about the same by the customer care. The fact is i didnt recive any intimation regarding it. I am using IDEA for the last 3 years and have never ever defualted any bills. I even dmended proof of intimation in the form of call recordings, written document but the company failed to provide the same. I approached their regional offices many times and even am ready to settle my due bills provided they correct their error and refund me the excess amount. I even gave an apllication for the closure of my connection provided they settle the account with justification of their fault. I registered a complaint last month with IDEA regional office Vadodara regarding the error, the copplaint number is 1474. Its over a month now and there's no communication from their side nor any satisfactory response. KIndly take action about it. I am ready to settle but they are harassing me by saying i'll have to bear the whole amount.

                                        This is gagan chamria from sri ganganagar and my mobile no is [protected] I recharged my account with 8 rs recharge on 24 April and after the 36 hour this internet recharge activated I have suffering and download some songs from free sites but customer care are saying that i have downloaded wallpaper pack but i didn't i have made contact many time to idea customer care but they are not writing my complain and i am not satisfy with idea customer care Representative and in spite of internet recharge 150rs are reduce from my account. i hope u will solve my problem as soon as posible.
