I am a subscriber of Idea Cellular & have a mobile no. [protected] for which I have never requested for any "IMS Night Plan". To my surprise this service is activated since 5 April 2010 and Idea is charging an amount of Rs. 199/- per month since than. In my May 2010 bill I found these charges and contacted customer care. ( I didn't received the hard copy of my April, May and Jun 2010 Bill) I talk to the executive about it and he assured me to pay the present bill in full. And he forwarded the request for deactivation of IMS Night Plan and reversal of it's charges. To my shock today I again received my Jun 2010 bill without reversal and Rs.199/- is again charged in this bill as well. Today I talk to the Customer Care Executive, Floor Supervisor and the Manager. There approch to me was totally Non-customer Friendly and they refused to look into this matter and refused to Refund charges which I have paid since last three months. My request is to help me to get the paid amount - back.

Idea Cellular Ltd — Non-confirm activation & charges

I am a subscriber of Idea Cellular & have a mobile no. [protected] for which I have never requested for any "IMS Night Plan". To my surprise this service is activated since 24 oct 2009 and Idea is charging an amount of Rs. 199/- per month since than. In my Jan 2010 bill I found these charges and contacted customer care. ( I didn't received the hard copy of my Nov, Dec 2009 Bill) I talk to the executive about it and he assured me to pay the present bill in full. And he forwarded the request for deactivation of IMS Night Plan and reversal of it's charges. To my shock today I again received my Feb 2010 bill without reversal and Rs.199/- is again charged in this bill as well. Today I talk to the Customer Care Executive, Floor Supervisor and the Manager. Idea Cellular — ims messages

they have activated ims services without my consent. i talk to their customer care they r saying no scheme is activated on ur cell phone.
I am from pondicherry. my mobile number is [protected], the same thing happen to me. actually on[protected] i received one message stating that my IMS subscription has been renewed and valid for 1 month if want to unsubscribe just send message. i told to unsubscribe inspite of that they reduced amount from me and when i have asked they told i have activated and since the amount can't be remmitted back. actually i never asked for IMS / neither used earlier, but i got renewal message when i spoke to customer care, they refused to pay back. i don't know what to do

    i have idea netsetter idea dealer tell 200-kbps im guarantee it is speed service
    but im getting only 10-12 kbps
    idea netsetter is very very very poor and bad service... an i getting the range [signals] 5bars
    99% but the service is very very bad do not take this friends customer care is not responding any time.....it is bad..................

    Idea Net Setter — Pathetic Service and Speed

    I bought this Idea Net Setter seeing their hoarding which boasted of a great speed. But the reality was different. The speed is pathetic. It take five mins to open sites. The sites which takes seconds to open take ages with this Idea Net Setter. They have cheated customers by boasting of such speed when at no point of time the speed is what they have advertised.

      I have taken a duplicate sim (num [protected]) on 01/07/2010 at 12.30 pm from idea store Tirur and played the activation charge of amount Rs 113/-. at the time when I purchased the sim the branch manger told me it will take 24 hrs to activate ,but when i consult with the customer care executive they told me it will take only 4hrs. but after 24 hrs the sim was not activated and I have contacted the costumer care they told that the store does not paid the amount and u should contact the idea store. and there by I went to store and asked the manager, but I have got bad experience from the store and he replay that he will activate when he get time only, and there by I have lost better job in Oman.
      I hope I will get the needful.

      untill unless these people r punished a message 'be careful or else you will / can be punished ' wont be displayed to these people. there should be some law and people to save the customers of these atrocities lies and once you have paid i dont know u attitude will not go ...i hope an action and a stern one is taken for these actions of these people ...

        From last 15 days, my postpaid Idea mobile has a credit balance of Rs.1370/- ( paid in advance ). Since 30th of june,2010, my outgoing facility is barred, without any reason.
        I am in business and obviously , i am lot dependent on my mobile for my daily business. I have subscribed several SMS services too on my number.
        Now the position is that neither can i dial any number, nor i am receiving any SMS.
        I am feeling like handicap.

        Have called to customer care of IDEA, but they are not helpful at all. They don't see any problem in my number.
        Have written them 4-5 mails to idea customer support, but they too are not giving any response, reply to my problem.
        Very strange, they are not feeling the consequences of my problem.

        Idea Cellular — outgoing barred without any reason

        This is to bring to ur kind attention that my Idea mobile no’s [protected] outgoing has been barred without intimating to me. As i have been using this no for the last ten years . This a corporate no i have taken 10 connections on this behalf. All no's are working except my no. This is really a very disgusting behaviour of Idea people without any intimation/ without anyreason my no’s outgoing has been barred as i havebeen paying bill regularly on time. This is a stupidity done by Idea People. If my no is not reactivated within 24hrs I will sue them to court

[protected] ,on march 2,sunday, I activated background music by mistaken.aftr some hour i called to idea customer care for deactivation of this service. they said to me it will be deactivated from next month but on 23 may they deduct Rs.20 from my balance. I again made a call to idea customer care . then Idea customer care executive replyed me i m deactivate this service now. but it is not done.
              so i requested to you please give me a suggesstion what can i do.I am a student of llb 1 year.
              I am thankful to you please take suitable action against idea celluler .

                i am writing this to inform u all , i applied for an idea number [protected] at idea outlet in nashik on 22nd june 2010,

                outlet demanded 5000/- for the number , i agreed to pay, 1000/- were waiver as m already a postpaid user of airtel so i was to pay 4000/- cash and 250/- activation charges, i paid the money and got the receipt for the same.

                all formalities been done payment, form was filled up, address/identity proof submited which was later verified and everything was done.

                still my number was not activated, when i enquired why number is not activated i was told, you have to pay 21000/- for this number else it wont b activated.

                I concerned to ccc i.e. customer care centre in city but there also i didnt get any positive response.

                responsible persons in idea not responding to this issue, why i should suffer? what should i do? the outlet which has issued me this number should take the responsibility of activating my number but they are neglecting me

                please i need justice

                    i purchase a idea 3g data card on 4 may 2010 from meerut at 2000 Rupees. and recharge unlimited plan at 750 rupees.During i purchase this card, dealer say to me that data card give speed 3.1 mbps,but i plug & play with this idea 3g data card it gives speed upto 14-35 Kbps.when i complaint to idea net technical supporter minnimum 3 to 4 times that reference number[protected],[protected],but did not solve my problem.after i complaint to dealer he misbehave to me that i can't solve your problem.

                    I got IDEA 3g DATACARD on JAN 7th 2011 the dealer said its speeds up to 3.1mbps but there is no speed at all pages are not at all opening though signal strength is 99% the spped it is showing is 0 kbps most of the time in between it comes 0.39 - 0.8 kbps some times goes 20 kbps thats all rarely it touches 100 kbps with in seconds it falls down to 0kbps the process repeats am facing a lot of pblms with this datacard...

                    Hi Guys, I do agree with the issue stated. I have used both MTS MBlaze and Tata Docomo, its really horrible.

                    Currently I am using Relince net conncet(CDMA) and My friend is using TATA Photon+(CDMA), we stay in Ernakulam . Its really great service. Trust my words and buy. Its worth investment.
                    Minimum speed I get in Photon is close to 1.8 and max of 2.6 MBPS. In Reliance min speed is 1.3 and max we had got 2.9. Both are really good and even their customer service is good. When compared to Photon, Reliance is overall doing very good.
                    i was thinking of making a huge recharge of idea 3g nd now aftr reading this my mind has changed ...IDEA ppl i[censored]r listening ...instead of paying that bachchan concentrate in ur technical department ...birla useless group of industries
                    IDEA 3G is 100% Fake. good for nothing. I pray and urge my dear Indians not to buy Idea. Even if you are a fan of Abhishek Bachchan or Mahesh Babu. Dont buy Idea at any cost. Its a humble request. Idea and Aditya Birla are now only targetting to sell idea Netsetter and LOOT indians. Actually we should not encourage private networks in India. They Only Loot us. They are least bothered to serve indians. They only know how to charge with out giving services.

                    I upgradedidea 3g on 29th April 2011 with Rs599 plan. after two days, They disconnected my connection saying they my (I am using postpaid) bill limit crossed Rs.5000/-. How this is possible dear Indians. I have wasteed Rs.2000 on datacard and paid rs1608/- still Idea customer care has not responded. my speed was just 130kbps to 256kbps even with 3g.

                    Now, after this big loss, i switched over to BSNL 3g data card with 103 plan. I am getting speed of 7.2mbps and satisfied with BSNL.

                    So indians. Buy Only BSNL. BSNL is the Best and BSNL is our own property. Help bsnl to grow and enjoy services. After all we all are bharateey.

                    Dont encourage private beggers like Idea -Aditya Birla, Airtel -Bharti Mittal and other .

                    Friend firstly i would like to tell you that the Price of IDEA Netsetter 3.6 Mbps is 1400/- & price of IDEA Netsetter 7.2 Mbps. And it gives minimum 1.9 Mbps & 3.8 Mbps & Maximum of 3.6 Mbps & 7.2 Mbps Always.

                    i want to buy a net connection pls suggest me. i was going to buy Idea 3g...
                    also i purchase idea 3g data plan in gandhinagar capital city of gujarat state. and same problem i m facing here at home and office on both location. when i told to customer care, i got a very nonsense i answer "sorry we cant help in this matter". OMG... amazing i was surprised. and i paid in advance of 5 month around 4136 rupees for unlimited plan. idea team has told me that you will get around 7.00 MBPS speed. and when i start to use i got around 0.14 to 0.15 kbps... my number is [protected] and i am living in gandhinagar district of gujarat state. hope no one will try to purchase this nonsense product.

                      Sir,

                      The above said mobile no. ([protected]), which was issued in the name of my son (Mr. Gaurav Bhatia) is being used by me (VK Bhatia Father of Gaurav Bhatia) for the last four years. As Mr. Gaurav is working in USA since June, 2006, all the bill etc. is also being paid by me. Most of the time the bill are paid thro' my bank account.

                      The mobile having the number was theft on 05/05/2010. Accordingly FIR was also lodged. During this time I was also out of country. After reaching here, I approached to IDEA office (Hari Nagar Depot) to get issued the duplicate SIM. I explained all the things to him and produced the relevante documents (like ID proof, Copy of FIR etc.) to get issued the duplicate SIM.

                      To my great surprise, they bluntly refused to issue the duplicate SIM and asked to produce Mr. Gaurav Bhatia, who is in USA. I could not understood that how a person should be called from USA to get issued just a duplicate SIM.

                      The company says, they know the individual customer personally to avoid the misuse. As per my thinking, it is not possible to know all the customer, personally. Although, the SIM is being used by me for the last four years. It is not misuse? The company could not identify the same, although the bill payments are going from my account. I am also a senior central government officer.

                      As this number has got deep roots, it will become difficult for us and my colleges to manage with new number, I request you to issue duplicate SIM for the same.

                      idea/idea postpaid — misuse my number by the company

                      Hi



                      This is Sanjay from Ambala. I was issued a post paid no [protected] in Mar 09 having sim No[protected]. The number got disconnected itself after 1 month without any intimation. After my repeated visits to the local office nothing was confirmed to me and in fact the staff misbehaved with me.



                      Now after 3 months I received a bill from your side confirming that my no is still working but who is using it no one knows (at least I don’t know). You your sel[censored]nderstand that if some one else is using number on my name & misuses it, I can be in trouble because of that.



                      This is my humble request to you to kindly look into the matter & issue me the number back or I have to take the appropriate action.

                      MY NO OF [protected] HAS BEEN WITH ME FOR 05 YEARS NOW AND THIS IS THE 3 COMPLAIN I HAVE REGESTERED WITH YOUR AND HAVE GOT NO REPLY
                      MY NOS WAS CUT IN JULY AS I HAD NOT PAID MY BILL AND I WAS OUT OF TOWN WHEN I CAME BACK I DID PAY THE ENTIRE AMOUNT TO ASHISH FRM MALAD OFFICE WHO SAID HE WOULD RECONNECT MY NO WHICH HE DID AFTER 20 DAYS OF ME PAYING MY AMOUNT LATER IN AUG WHEN I GOT MY BILL IT SAID I HAD TO PAY ADD 5000 RS FOR STARTING MY NO SO I TRYED CALLING HIM AGAIN AND IN WAIN AS HE DID NOT ENTERTAIN ME LATER I GOT THE NO OF MS KANCHAN WHO SAID SHE WOULD CLEAR THE AMOUNT AND NOT TO PAY THE BILL TILL I GET THE NEW BILL BUT THIS DID NOT HAPPEN AND MY NO WAS CUT AGAIN WHEN I SPOKE TO HER AGAIN SHE SAID THAT IT WAS IN PROGRESS AND TO WAIT I ALSO INFORMED HER THAT I WILL BE OUT OF TOWN FOR WORK WHEN I CAME BACK AND SPOKE TO HER SHE SAID SHE HAS LEFT THE JOB AND SHE COULD NOT HELP ME,
                      NOW AFTER 1 MONTH OF ME RUNNING AROUNG FOR THE NO THE NO HAS BEEN GIVEN TO SOMEONE ELSE AND I WANT TO KNOW THE REASON AS NO ONE FRM AIRTEL IS READY TO HELP AND I THINK IT IS TIME FOR ME TO GO TO THE CONSUMER COURT AND FILE A COMPLAIN AS NO ONE IS READY TO TAKE THEIR RESPONSIBILITY,

                        I have an IDEA prepaid number from Pune. I keep getting SMS messages saying I have subscribed for something or the other THAT I HAVE NOT ACTIVATED MYSELF (example: "Monsoon Bonanza Challenge"). Subsequently, money gets deducted every day for "value added services" THAT I HAVE NOT ACTIVATED MYSELF and am not even aware of. Every time I call to make a complaint about this, my complaint is not registered saying it is an "invalid complaint" and that their "records" show that the VAS was activated by me. They keep misdirecting me to different "customer care" numbers, which either automatically get disconnected after an invalid message or are meant for totally unrelated services. The "customer care" agents also repeatedly refuse to give me information about where I could submit a written complaint about this saying "that information is unavailable". All they do is "deactivate" the service, only to send me another sms soon enough... and the whole fraud cycle starts all over again!

I keep getting msgs dat saying ur subscription is renewed for magazine CH99 bcoz of dat my bal. is cutting from last 15 days. When i call in customer care they saying call on 155223 but there also the same condition saying that your deactivation for CH99 is in process but not deactivated it from last 5 days i am not satisfied with ur service plz deactivate my service of magazine CH99 plz plz plz

                          I’ve on Idea no. “[protected]” and this no. was activated by M/s One Mobile, Malik Plaza, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075” on 16th May ’10. I’ve submitted all the required documents and provide all required documents to M/s One Mobile. My no. was also working fine. But unfortunately I lost my mobile yesterday morning. Then I made a Police complaint and called your customer care no. to block the no. But as per your customer care executive my details were not updated in your system. So he suggested me to visit Idea Customer care center.

                          Then I visited Idea Customer Care center at Shelly Tel, G-3, Plot No. 4, Sector -10, Dwarka, New Delhi. There I met with Mr. Manoj ([protected]). I requested for replacement SIM. But he told me that as your records are not updated in our system so we neither give you replacement SIM nor blocked the services on the no. He told me that all the records take 1 month for updation. But yesterday 38 days have been past and I believe 1 month means 30 days. Is in Idea 1 month means 40+ days???

                          It’s a matter of great disappointment that I am suffering because of company’s mistake.

                          Please take neccessery actions as per TRAI guidelines, so that consumer will not suffer because of companies' mistakes.

                          The number Idea No.[protected] was recharage with Rs.234 & 150 thru ICICI net banking online prepaid recharge . The payment id detaile are as below.

                          Rs. 150 Payment ID [protected] 25.11.09,

                          Regret to say that both above recharge is not yet received/updated on my subject mobile.

                            With utmost regret I’ve to convey you that after being a loyal customer of your company for almost a decade, for the first time I am feeling cheated by your company. My idea cell number is [protected] and I am using this number since last 3 years. For convenience, I keep on doing recharge and top-ups of my mobile through your website www.ideacellular.com and every time I used your website I found it very responsive. Except the last time when I used it to topup my balance with 350/- Rs. Yesterday (23/06/10) at 11:00 am. I successfully made the payment through your website using my icici bank internet banking facility. After which I immediately received one conforming message from IZ-Idea ([protected]) at 11::04:04 am which was “Dear Customer, Thank you for making a payment of Rs 350.00 on the Idea Cellular website. It is being updated in your account.”



                            After receiving this assuring SMS from Idea I was certain that my topup is done. But when I checked my account balance after 15 minutes by dialing *130# I was surprised to see that it was showing my call balance only 55 paisa. Desperately I called your customer care number 12345 at 11:30 am (23/06/10) and told your executive my problem, and she assured me that I should call after 24 hours. That call to your customer care consumed my 50 paisa, and I am now left with only 5 paisa balance.



                            Anyhow after waiting for more than 30 hours I called your 198 number today (24/06/10) at 4:05 pm to file my complaint, and the lady customer care executive there said that Idea has received my 350/- Rs. Payment, but due to some technical trouble with your billdesk I may have to wait for next seven days. When I asked her that even after making the payment of 350/- Rs. to you and your company receiving it and confirming it through SMS why should I wait for seven days to get the money updated in my balance? Suppose I meet some emergency problem for which I’ve to make a phone call, what I’ll do for next seven days? Who’ll be responsible if I could not make an important phone call and may caught in some emergency situation even after paying 350/- Rs. why I am left with mere 5 paisa balance in my account? Your carelessness/mistake/ technical trouble/whtsoever which is restricting me to make a phone call for next seven days even after I paid and you received 350/- Rs.



                            She then transferred the phone to her senior some Ravidra Kumar Singh, who was repeatedly apologizing and asking me to wait for next seven days. When I asked him why should I wait? He told me that it is company’s procedure. When I insisted then he told me that Idea has not received 350/- Rs. payment. How come it is possible that my icici bank account is debited by 350/- Rs against the payment made to idea cellular limited, and Idea has send me a confirmation SMS of money receipt through their website?



                            When I further insisted to talk to some senior officer in Idea Cellular Limited, he gave me phone number of some Nidhi Sagar ([protected]) ext:688, I tried to call on this number many times, but I am sorry to say that this number is intentionally not picked by anybody. After failing everywhere I am writing this mail to you, and posting the same complaint on www.consumercomplaints.in .



                            Somehow I am not convinced that Idea is customer friendly and fair/ethical company anymore. You have lost your trust among your loyal customers through non responsiveness and uncaring attitude of your customer care staff

                            Idea — not receiving balance after 24 hrs

                            Dear Sir/madam

                            Yesterday I made a topup of Rs 250/- for my Idea Prepaid mobile [protected] from the Idea website using my ICICI account.I received a message for a verification code and my account is deducted for rs 250/- and till now even after 24 hrs I haven’t got any balance amount and your customer care also couldnot assist me.Instead of replying to my query they stopped recieving calls from my mobile at there customer service nos.
                            Plz help me for the same matter.

                              Since 5 or 6 years, I hold this Idea corporate connection, account number - 8.10552929.00.00.100128 and mobile phone number was [protected].

                              I am currently in USA but before leaving, I had given a written application for converting this number from Postpaid to Prepaid. I also provided all the documents along with the application as requested by the Idea center in Vishrantwadi, Pune. After 1 month I am told that they had lost my documents and now they have communicated that this account cannot be changed to pre-paid since I am in the US ! Well I sent all the documents well in advance before leaving India !!! They even had me pay the 'outstanding dues' and charged Rs. 100 for the Pre-paid sim given to me for use once the conversion happens (which never did).

                              This mistake from their side has already caused me a month's rent, + Rs. 100 for Prepaid card which doesn't work and now its this month's rental due as well. Of course, the Prepaid sim shows invalid Sim when put inside the phone. For their benifit, I again sent a written application via courier from US to India wasting more money and I have asked my sister to submit a fresh form to Bhandarkar road branch by this week. When she went to the branch, they said it cannot be converted because I am not in India to take the verification call??

                              Well, first of all verification should not be required for such small things, especially when this is a corporate account and all communication is usually handled by Idea over my official email address.
                              Secondly, I called Idea customer care from the US twice without any significant progress because it is not considered a Verification call if I make it ! Again non-sense, but I am still willing to talk if they are fine with calling me on my US number.

                              After finding no way out of this situation, nor any help from Idea with this, I would like to raise this complaint. This is a deliberate time wasting tactics and hostile policies that Idea uses to make sure I will not just pay the rent for the connection for another year (without using it) and also continue holding the connection since I can't even terminate without the so called Verification call.

                                on 17 jun2010 i received the following sms"OFFER JANKARI KE LIYE TYPE KAREN OFFER AND BHEJEN 50505 PAR NISHULK. " After sending sms 'OFFER' to 50505, a sum of rs 20 is being cut from my balance and i am receiving a sms to this effect daily stating,'AN AMOUNT OF RS 20.00/-HAS BEEN DEDUCTED FROM YOUR ACCOUNT ON[protected]date& time) TOWARDS DAILY DECREMENTAL FOR GPRS PACK" Inspite of sending sms to 50505,no action has been taken.

                                THIS INDICATES THAT IDEA MOBILE SERVICE PROVIDERS ARE RESORTING TO UNFAIR TRADE PRACTISE WITH A CRIMINAL INTENT,AS THE SMS ARE NOT ONLY MISLEADING BUT ALSO HAVE NO OPTION TO UNSUBSCRIBE.

                                SUITABLE ACTION AGAINST IDEA MOBILE SERVICE PROVIDERS SHOULD BE TAKEN AND MONEY DEBITED FROM MY ACCOUNT BE REFUNDED.

                                  My Phone no. is +91 [protected]. I have converted of my prepaid connection to postpaid connection & have taken plan "SV 299 Plan" mentioned on website of Idea Cellular for Delhi.

                                  As per plan chosed my STD rates were supposed to be Rs. 0.75 & both Idea's website and its franchisee i.e. Shaiv BPO Services(Ph. [protected]) has confirmed me that STD call charges as Rs. 0.75 and not as Rs. 1.50, but I was fraudulently charged STD rates are Rs. 1.50.

                                  Despite several complaints to customer care both via mails & phone, no prompt action was taken by them rather they changed the details on their website so that I shall not be able to take any action against them said to me that it was just an error on their part.

                                  Attached with this mail is copy of webpage of idea wherein calculation is based on STD charges as Re. 0.75 and not on Rs. 1.50.

                                    I have an idea prepaid connection on my mobile number [protected]. On 21.6.2010, I was quite surprised to find that a vas pack of 'Sona Jeeto' automatically activated without my any request or option and Rs. 5/- was deducted. This deduction was on daily basis. When I contacted the concerned person in idea helpline and asked how this vas pack has been activated without my choice, one Mr. Abdul of idea cellular has told me that due to network problem this was activated and Rs.5/- will be refunded soon.

                                    Here the matter is not for Rs.5/- only rather I am afraid that whether such is the kind of cheating which is the regular practice adopted by idea cellular to deduct @ Rs.5/- from it's prepaid customers in the multiple of crores and, if such cheating is caught by any customer, then to ask for excuse saying that due to network, it occured.

                                    I don't want such cheating with crores of customers like me. Also I want not only refund of Rs. 5/- only rather full recharge money if such cheating is caught. My last recharge was for Rs. 350/- which Idea Cellular should pay me as fine.
                                    This is fact. So many times, such is occuring and when asked, it is said perhaps your spouse or children has choosen to activate this vas pack.

                                    Therefore, prior to activate such vas pack, ideal cellular should have confirmation first from the person in whose name the mobile connection is. After getting confirmation, such vas packs should be activated.
                                    Idea cheated me too...
                                    The cricket pack got activated without any confirmation...
                                    and eat up all money to end up in a zero..
                                    the customer complaints department is not registering my complaint..
                                    and can't call to customer call since.. it requires money and i'm emptied...!!

                                        I want to complain about idea celluary compeny
                                        I want to tell you that i use idea prepaid sim card from last four
                                        year and the complain that. Idea give a flash mesaage about recharge
                                        with 99 and get two gb free brousing gprs when i active this pack
                                        after 3 days my balance cut from 385 to 3 rupies when i call to
                                        customer care they tell me that i can use only 70 mb per day and if
                                        you use over 70 mb you will charged 5 rupes per mb now this term and
                                        condiction tell me after my balance cut and the idea company does not
                                        give any no. To cheak the per day uaseg so this type of cheating was
                                        creating from idea company to me
