Through this post I wish to warn all online shoppers to stay away from Indiatimes Shopping. This year during peak winter season on Jan 4 2013 I placed an order for Bajaj oil room heater. The product was delivered after one week. When I opened the package the product was broken at multiple places. I made an immediate complaint and I was asked to send photos of damaged parts which I did. After this started the worst harassment I have gone through in shopping online. While I was expecting immediate replacement of damaged product to protect my family for cold weather, I was told that the damaged product cannot be picked before 8 working days and they gave a bizarre reason that courier personals are not available to pick the product. I called up Blue Dart (who had delivered the product) they told me they can pick the product immediately but they have no instructions from Indiatimes Shopping. I once bought a phone from Letsbuy.com which was damaged and they replaced it within 3 days with a new one without bothering to pick the damaged product which was picked later. It is shocking that Indiatimes claims to be the oldest in online retail business and their processes and customer services are completely out of tune with customer expectations. I would urge everyone to pay few bucks extra but shop from likes of Flipkart that have fantastic service track record. TOI group through its news paper and news channels claims to be a highly ethical group while in reality they are nothing but money minded businesses that lack any ethical practices.

Indiatimes Shopping — After sales support and customer service

INDIATIMES - A highly unprofessional company with extremely poor customer service with a bunch of stupid workforce serving customers over the phone.

My complaint no : 620630, i am now on the heights of my frustration with the products and customer services. the courier people doesn't take proper care of the goods while delivering...when order needs to cancelled and reverse pickup needs to be arranged, the highly inefficient bunch of workforce is unable to get the items picked up even after 10 days of the request raised.

Executive like BHAVNEET,ASHWANI, JYOTSNA, LAVNEESH AND ABOVE ALL - SATYATHIR – AN LEADING THE – call disconnection, unable to meet the deadlines, when calls need to be escalated the transfer is done to IVR, not listening to what the customer is asking, on hold wait time which can go beyond 10-15 min and what not… Basis the skills exhibited by the bunch, does this company has any rights to say to the customer to be professional on calls. OR if this is what the company call PROFESSIONALISM.

    Ordered 18" Buddha statue through Indiatimes Shopping, and received this in a damaged condition on the 29th of December 2012. Since then they have done nothing to get it replaced. According to them they cannot do a reverse pick-up, although it is possible to send something there.

      I had purchased a prestige wet grinder from indiatimes shopping on 21st Dec 2012and the product was delivered on 8th Jan 2013 totally damaged and from that day i have been complaining to indiatimes daily either by phone or email but they keep on telling me that they will arrange for the reversal and they will call me from their side after the complaint has been processed but after that there is neither any information either by phone or mail.It is already one month and nothing serious is done about that

      Indiatimes Shopping — Faulty product

      I ordered 8GB MP3 player through the Times Reader offer in the Times of India on 16th May 2010. The product was delivered by VPP on 25th May 2010. Immediately upon opening the product I found that the product was faulty. I contacted the customer care number of indiatimes and lodged a complaint for replacement. Complaint number allotted was 280739. I was told that I need to return the faulty product and later I would be getting the replacement. The faulty product was collected through Aramex on 3rd Jun 2010 (AWB number [protected]). In spite of repeated calls since 7th Jun 2010 I have so far neither got the product nor the refund. The customer care number is also not attended and the call is placed on hold for at least 15 minutes before it is responded. Pl help.

      Indiatimes Shopping — defective product

      Dear sir/madam,
      I had booked an ipod nano 16gb from shopping.indiatimes.com.The product is not working,i.e,its battery is damaged which gets low as I dispatch it from charging.Meanwhile i contacted umpteen times to the indiatimes customer care but still there is no response.The sub-order no. of my product is 3246569.
      As per advertized in Mumbai mirror paper in 20 april 2011 this HTC ozone is 3G enabled to confirm that phone is supporting GSM 3G services I called indiatimes customer care they also confirmed same, hence I purchased this mobile. took Vodafone 3G connection and it was not working, to verify I went vodafone gallery they told me that this phone is not 3G enable.
      I again complaint in indiatimes shopping and i talk with Amit Kumar (Sr.Executive) and they refuse to take this product back. and when i told that i will complaint this matter in court he told me that do whatever you want to do i can’t help. So i need this indiatimes shopping close permanently otherwise they will do with other customer also.

      when i received a phone call that my damaged product will be picked up on Friday morning, I was happy that atlast the damaged piece will move away and I will get the refund of the long pending amount but that was also turned futile as nobody turned up till now and when i called up indiatimes customer care no they tell "no body has picked up till now and I will tell them to pick it up now " and that's it after there is no reply, today itself i had made two phone calls in the morn and afternoon and they gave me a phone no to contact him and that turned out to be a wrong person wherein he was not informed thru indiatimes, will there be a solution to this problem or will it be the same hide and seek game .I really had a horrible experience thru indiatimes shopping and it is more than a month now, Ihave lost a lot of money calling customer care no innumerable times and nothing more than that.
      I noted that the case has been closed but without refunding my amount how can the case be closed .I have had enough headache shopping with indiatimes

        I have placed an order for an Apple iPad on 5th Jan 2013.
        Its been 10 days and still the product has not been shipped.
        On enquiring the CSR tells me the order has not even been verified due to a technical problem on their side.
        Even after 4 days of sending the required information for verification,there is no update...

        Very bad service even though I did not face any problem with my earlier orders with them.
        Should think twice before ordering from them now on wards...

          I have cancelled my Order No [protected] Sub Order No 00003 on Dec 7 2012 as I am not satisfied by the size 44. I wanted size 42, which is out of stock. Please cancel the order and initiate refund in my credit card account. DONT SHIP the order.

          Indiatimes Shopping have shipped the order and now they are not doing return pickup and refund even after 1 month.

          Indiatimes Shopping is giving worst customer experience. There executive doesnot call at all.

          I will never recommend this site to anybody :(

            I received it yesterday via courier (DELHIVERY: AWB No.:[protected]).
            But when I opened the package, I found the seal for the box broken. anyone can see easily that seal is broken, they just laminate the box and send it to me. I haven't opened it yet. Please help me in this.

              My order ID on indiatimes is [protected]. I have ordered a gitanjali gold coin from there website on 14th dec 12. Till now they have not delivered that to me saying that there is a problem from vendor's side. If there is a problem from vendor why are they still selling the product online so easily? they are cheating customers by taking money and earning interest on that. They are not delivering my product. They want to cancel it after 1 month. This is mental harassment. Torture. For a rs. 6000 product I have spent atleast rs. 2000 on the phone calls. They should give me compensation along with my refund or they should deliver the product immediately. They are playing around with people. When I call up CC they tell me the seniors are busy and never transfer the calls.
              Today morning somebody named "komal" told me that she will give me an update by evening but when I called up the person told me her shift is over and other supervisors are busy. They have noted a complaint but the person following up with my complaint never gave me an update for last 1 week. He told me that my product will be shipped by 31 dec but that has also not happened. They are cheating people easily by sitting on the money and cancelling the product so easily. I lost my repurtation because of there false commitment. They should be punished for playing with people like this. On the top of all this there customer care team is so worse that they will tell you only that information that is available on the website. I was always told that your complaint is noted and we will get back to you. But they dont even have 2 rs to call up give me regular update. Its just that i have to spend money calling them up and ask. than also they are not delivering the product.

They promised me to deliver it on 15th December but till now they have not delivered. What can be done and how to go forward with this. My Order Number is # [protected]. The quality and color is very cheap and very different. And when i call your customer care (Mr. Kuldeep gupta) told me that they will not generate any complain against this.This is not the way U will give any product and we will have to accept.and plz give a proper training to ur customer care executives,they dont know how to handle the customer and they are their to help us not for arguing with us.                     this was regarding order number: [protected]
                    purchased an apple ipad 4 for 28072 as emi 4679 per month for 6 months through standard chartered credit card. When I received the statement I found that the entire amount was debited from my credit card. I have all the documents and proof for this. I contacted indiatimes shopping and they logged a case 598920. All they did was called me after two days and asked me to contact my bank which I already did. The bank said that the merchant(shopping.Indiatimes.Com) has not claimed the emi. When I provided that information they asked to forward the bank statement. I did the same. And one lady contacted me later and offered a callback but no response and close the case. If I do not clear the amount due on my credit card before the due date, I need to pay the interest. The is a cheating by indiatimes. I have seen other customers facing the same problem and been cheated. Please help me on this.

                    India Times — cheating by india times

                    i took a year subscription of hello magazine which started from july 2009. For the second subcription i left a complaint on their website regarding their inability to deliver me my subscription copy and within 2 days time i got a call confirming my address and i recieved my copy in a weeks time. But it is dissapointing that i havnt recieved any magazine after august inspite of making the full payment and reminding them again and again . Can anyone please help me in getting my refund....? how do they run such big companies if they cant even deliver the subscription copy on time......it is highly ridiculous.......

                    India Times — No response / Cheating

                    While I was doing transaction for ITEM Number 4437174 - After doing payment the screen went blank.
                    When I saw later - The payment made duplicate through netbanking. Immediately I called up / mailed indiatimes to cancel cancel order[protected] and process[protected] only.

                    Unfortunately no response even after 20 days. called many times / written mails multiple times - No response. Hopeless customer care team and looting.

                    I recomend everyone not to buy from indiatimes shopping. No protection for money.
                    I recommend buyers to do shopping only with ebay and excellent customer care.

                      I ordered samsung S3 (order # [protected]) on 12/17. I received samsung E2252 on 12/24. I filed a complaint immediately on 12/24 with indiatimes (case # 593973) and sent the below mail as requested.Yet to hear back on a firm date when i will get the phone i ordered.

                      I am very deeply hurt by the lack of customer centricity being shown by folks assigned to my case. Vivek is my case manager who is never available in office. I have tried reaching him 5-6 times during the last 5 days. I even talked to customer service floor manager shweta who promised me that i will get a call back in 48 hours, three days ago. When i called her again yesterday, she told the customer service rep to inform me that i will hear back and to call next week.

                      I have spent 31K of my hard earned money trusting your website. I still have a hope that being such a big site, my money will not be lost but the apathy shown by your team has been very disheartening. The least i deserve is a call back. They did call back but it was more of a missed call as i was on another phone and by the time i swapped, call had been disconnected.

                      Please help me get the phone i ordered since i have to use the EMEI # to avail of 9000 worth of offers from samsung which ends on 10th Jan.

                      If i do not get the phone in hand before end of next week, i will not have any option but to go to consumer forum or serve a legal notice to indiatimes for the loss incurred. sincerely hoping that things get resolved and it doesn't get to it.

                          I had placed an order for a Nokia phone in Indiatimes shopping web-site on Dec 21, 2012. Order number - [protected]. I had called the customer care on Dec 26, 2012 and they advised that it will be shipped on Dec 28, 2012. Now today (Dec 27, 2012) they called and told that Indiatimes is shopping is cancelling the order from their end stating that they do not have stock. They are not ready to refund the amount immediately as well. Already they enjoyed full money with them for a week now and taking another 5 working days (1 week) is not acceptable. If the company do not have stock, they should not accept order. This is cheating and I request authorities to fine the company for this kind of practice. Thanks

                            I had purchse mobie after online presentation of product deatils and feedback, product was not as per the website specification, even not in working condition. and was return within 7 days as per instruction of goods return policy. I have copy of invoice where consignee of product is indiatimes.com
                            and buyer is myself. since seven months passed several mails are communicated, but no reply. nor my paid amount refund / transfer to my account.

                            India Times — mobile not working

                            I had purchased "VK 180 Touch screen GSM Mobile Phone SR". mobile through India times which was advertised in Times of India news paper. The buyers order no. is[protected] and the invoice is of 12.07.2008 for Rs 3990. The guarantee card with mobile shows 2 year warrenty for the set. The mobile has gone completely blank and not responding to charging even.When I contacted to India Times at customer care no [protected], I was provided two phone no.[protected] and[protected]. But both the phone did not answer. Again two email id were provided [protected]@deals4all.net & [protected]@sify.com but both no response. Again India times provided local address of one repair shop, Paras Authorise Service centre with contact person Mr. Mehta and phone no.[protected], 26258863, 26255001. On contacting them I was informed that they do not deal with mobile phone repair. Again India times gave me Mumbai phone[protected],[protected] of some Ujjaval saraf. After contacting them I was informed that since the warrenty was for 6 months only hence now they cann't do any help. I shall inform you that the warrenty card with mobile shows for a period of 2 years. I was even ready for paid service but I was informed that no help can be done. I feel to have been cheated.

                              I have ordered the two items vide order no. [protected] on dated 15 november 2012 and received the items separately. First item I received on 21 november and the second item I received on 27 november 2012. first item is a book and is upto the mark. But the second one was a webcam and the company has sent me the webcam which is not according to the order. I registered the complaint against case id 538983 on the same day and request to change the product. The company ask me to send the proof. I sent the jpg picturers of the webcam. The company told that the hearing of my case will be on after 4 weeks on 21 december 2012. after a long gap on 22 december 2012 I have received a call from the company in which the company is forcefully closed the case.

                                I placed Order No. [protected] for B1112995 - Induction Cooker Chef Xpress - Morphy Richards (1) with Indiatimes shopping on 25-Nov-2012. The product was delivered on 3-Dec-2012 by their courier partner Aramex Express (AWB No.:[protected]) but it was delivered in broken state. Just after bringing out the product from the package it was found that the bottom part of the induction cooker was broken into some small pieces. Also, after switching on the product it was found that the timer button is not working and no display is coming out on the LCD screen. To be more precise, I received a completely defective product from Indiatimes Shopping.

                                I lodged a complaint (Case Id: 548692) for replacement of that product on the very same day (i.e., 3-Dec-2012) and I was told by Indiatimes Customer Care that the complaint will be resolved within 23-Dec-2012. No one has even done the reverse pick up of the product till date. I have called their customer care numerous times in last two weeks to follow up and every time they assured me that the reverse pick up will be done within next 3 days but no satisfactory action has yet been taken.

                                I really distrust their willingness to replace the defective product.

                                I ordered a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ28 digital camera from Indiatimes Shopping(order number:[protected] to which they sent a camera whose battery was defective.They refused to change the product and said that it was due to my mishandling. Please help me put with this case.

                                  I purchased a tablet pc from indiatimes online shopping. There was some fault in hardware
                                  so I registered a compalint with them.I completed all the procedure I.E. Obtaining doa certificate ( dead on arrival ) from registered service station of company bsnl penta and forwarding the same to indiatimes.Even after completing all the procedures they are not ready to replace the same and give different reason everytime I call their customer care.

                                      I HAVE RECEIVED THE product "Zync Tablet - Z930" ORDERED VIDE ORDER NO. [protected] on[protected]

                                      WIFI IS NOT WORKING ON THIS TABLET. ITS RANGE IS VERY LOW.
                                      RANGE IS SHOWING NEAR WI FI ACCESS POINT ONLY.
                                      IT shows WI FI NOT IN RANGE AFTER 1 METERS ONLY.

                                      As per Indiatimes.com's "return policy", product can be returned with in 7 days of delivery.

                                      I want to Return/ Cancell the order .

                                      he informed me that product can not be returned if it is under warranty and
                                      It can not be returned even with in 7 days of delivery.

                                        MY NAME IS ABHIJIT DAMEDHAR www.indiatimes.shopping.com On oct 30, i ordered pack of deodorant, i made the payment at the time, the product Should be delivered within 7 days but they gave 11 days, after more than 12 days their executive called me saying your order will be shipped within 48 hours, till now the product is not delivered My order no. Is [protected]. Please sir, take any serious action as soon as possible.

                                        Indiatimes Shopping — order not delievered within time

                                        I have placed an order of Electrloux AC online through indiatimes shopping on 29th April 09. My balance (14000/-)from credit card got deducted on the same day. I have been calling customer care for the regularly for delievery status. Now today is 16th May and till date ordered is not yet delievered. I ahve calling customer care they are everytime telling that ur order will deliever today, tomorrow...I have got frustted with all this as daily i m calling my parents to know whether ythey have got AC or not, if not then i m callin customer care and again the same answer.

                                        Starting they have told that they will deliever it in 7-10 working days but that is aleady past away. Today is 12th woking days (excluding sat and sun) even then there is no scope of deliever. The person i spoke is Shailesh from Delhi Customer care, Ankit and Hampy, Deepak from Mumbai Customer care.

                                        I want my money back with the interest of 20 days since 29th April. My contact number is [protected].

                                        Can I be favoured with a call explaining me the status of DELIVERY and explaining me how the same can be paid through my credit card.
