Dear Sir,

The below mentioned complaints stands unresolved since past two years.

I have been writing to india today book club since past one year, but i think its a usual practice with india today book club to cheat and fool peoples, after lodging twice complaint in your website also no action has been taken, it makes me feel that there is no perfect forum wherein the consumer complaints can be resolved, i have been taking this issue since a long time but neither you have interfered nor i have received any satisfactory response from india today book club. they have taken a money from me and sent an empty box, eithet they should refund my money or compenate for the same, if this website is not an effective tool, please suggest an alternate measure.

Please refer to the attached e mail communication you will understand the pain i have been going through.

Please revert its taking so much time, or simply say that are in the business of cheating peoples. some body can take a month or two to investigate into the matter.but years and decades i cant understand. your bookclub might have made millions by cheating customers. but the money i paid to you was my hard earned money. atleast respect the value of money. please refer my appended mail and see the date, since when i am complaining about the matter. your mail id does not have a power to resolve the matter. my friend please refer me a mail id which can address the my complaint.

    1. I had placed an order with Bag It Today for their promotional offer of Holiday Package (Feb 4, 2011, Order ID is - [protected]. I had paid INR 7000 online. I got email and phone confirmations from them saying that order has been placed and I will be receiving Welcome Kit in 10 business days.

    2. Even after a month I did not receive any packet. Upon enquiring, they said that there was some delay and packet will be sent in a week.

    3. After a week I got following email from them:

    5. I am planning to lodge a complaint in Consumer Court agaisnt Bag It Today. Please stay away from fraudulent promotional offers and calls from Bag It Today staff.

      On subscribing INDIA TODAY WEEKLY for one year at a rate of Rs.1310/- I was assured a gift of ACCORD MOBILE phone worthRs 3195/-in the month of October 2010. Accordingly i had deposited the amount by crossed cheque and my subscription started wit effect from 1 nov 1010 with subscription no.ITE 1898008.The India Today group was expected to seng me the gift within 8 to 10 wweeks after starting of suscription. It is regretted to inform that I am yet to erceive the gift till date, I had sent many emails in this regard and also letter by post but everytime the group is evading the issue by giving some reply to some how delay the matter. They had even told me that they had already sent through some AFL COURIER giving some docket number which was subsequently with drawn by them. Even in their latest communication thaey have requested me to wait another 3 to 4 weeks for taking some action. This considered tobe a dalaying tactic intended probably not to send the promised free gift to me.I request you to take up this matter and arrange to send me the promised gigt to me without further delay

        I have purchased LUXURY HOLIDAY STAY by paying Rs7498/-. I have submitted the form on 15Dec2010 with 3 destination choices with 3 dates as per the terms and extra Rs750 as DD for processing (booking the hotel). They have not processed yet as on 16Mar2011. The 3 dates given as choice has already gone and they didn’t book the holiday stay for me.
        I have contacted to their tel.nos. [protected], [protected],[protected],[protected], [protected] and complaint. There was no use, only waste of call charges for me. I have sent many mails to [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com , [protected]@bagittoday.com , [protected]@bagittoday.com , [protected]@bigcity.in , [protected]@bigcity.in but there was no response (reply) email. Lot of time got wasted. If we are calling one tel. no., after hearing every thing they ask us to call other no. or other email ID’s. Each time we will have to repeat in full. Only 1 time they gave a complain no. 742962.

          Sir,
          I received a call from Bag it Today on 10th November 2011 regarding offer in which i was offered 30 cents diamonda with brilliant cut & warranty card about its genuineness from Gemology Institute, along with this they also told that there are free gift i.e silver pooja thali & artdinox cup set both worth Rs.3500. I aacepted & agreed to do the payment of Rs.5799 & i did it immediately.

          Since then I am following it up with them for last 4 months but everytime they tell that we have forwarded the complaint & you will receive the gift in 15 to 20 days but even after four months & four times complains & innumerable phone calls, i have not received the item as well as gifts. On the contrary I have spent around rs.1000 on phone calls as they do not have toll free no & they keep on hold for long time.
          I also gave then option to refund my money if they are unable to send the gift but they are not ready for that also. I am planning to go in consumer Court as I have been cheated and more so mentally harrassed by them. They have wasted my money & time. Please guide me to approach consumer court.

          They give excuse of Courier people that they have not delivered it, where as i receive all couriers at my place or atleast courier people call me to collect the gift but these Bas**ds do it in such a way that gift should not reach the customer & after few days customer will give up and they get money as well as gift.

          Police should do something in this not only to India today but also to the employees as they are the people who cheat customers.

            Never buy any Product from Bag it India today review, SMS from bag it today, bagittoday

            I am from mumbai, I had ordered an travel package on Bag It Today on 20th JAN 2011. paid Rs7000. haven't received my package yet.

            I have been following from last 3months, every time I call them they have all different reason to say
            1.will call you in 48hr
            2. We have taken you complain, will soon get your package.
            3.Package is on they way you should get it in week time..
            4.bla bla blaaa


            I tried to reach the top person (Dominic Savio) who manage this team, but that bugger don't come on the call, there is Pankaj who realy don't know what he is doing, he hardly understand anything.

              This is to inform you that one of your executive called me for the order which includes:

              1 Sony Ericsson C903 Mobile Phone
              5 Packs of Anaira's Diamond wt. 0.10 carat
              Diamonds Certificate
              1 MTV Sunglasses

              The total cost of the order was Rs. 15699

              I agreed to buy with all inclusion so I agreed to executive for the same & my call was transfered to payment system through phone inputing credit card details. After payment executive told me that I will get my order within 12-15 working days. I placed this order near 30-31 Oct 2010. I got sms finally on 12 November for order processed. I received it on 20 November 2010. It only include diamonds 1 Sony Ericsson C903 Mobile Phone & 5 Pack of diamonds. No certificate & MTV sunglasses were included in the pack and also the Bill for mobile to claim warranty.

              I complained about the same next day and it was told to me by executive that this order does not include MTV sunglasses. I was shocked, but I pressurized the executive for the same so he promised me to verify me after call recording trace-out. The executive called me 4-5 days later confirming me that sir you were right it includes MTV sunglasses & reason behind it is that the sunglasses was not in stock & we processed rest of the order to avoid delay in order. We will be sending you your pending item within 15-20 working days.

              I waited for 30 days & complaint again for Certificate & MTV sunglasses with generated ids:

              Again waited & recalled 5 timed till today, same reply "I am forwarding your complaint on urgent basis & get back to you in 7 days etc... finally no response till date.

              One more issue arises that Mobile Phone C903 giving less backup so I went to service center for replacement of battery they denied due to improper invoice for the same. Please issue me proper Invoice with mobile details so that I can claim warranty & please hurry up otherwise warranty period for battery will pass out.

              Did u receive the certificate for diamonds? Are they real enough & sale-able in the market?

              The response by the bag it today 2 all there complaints is just copy n paste...with the same reply 2 all the complaints...i received my MTV sunglasses after 6 months & the ones i received are fake & not what was shown on the site n confirmed by the telemarketer.
              1. I didnt get any bills or genuine certificate or warranty as claimed.
              2. There isn't any engravement on the lens or anywhere on the glasses marking its a MTV product...its just golden shades u find on the streets not worth more than 100 bucks for which i had 2 shell out 499 rs. Bag it today n India today sucks.

              My name is Jerrin . Last week my dad (M.John mohan Raj ) did online shopping in BAG IT TODAY. The site had an advertisement in irctc website.
              The cost of the product ( shoe ) is rs.1000. But 12000 rupees was deducted additionaly from the account stating there is a combo offer for diamond necklace. We never agreed to that offer and without our permission rupess 12, 000 was deducted additionally.

              I have spoken to a guy called Neeraj, but no response from his side.

                Inspite off speaking to customer care regarding being charged for products i dont want,I was told the amt will be refunded to me but similar transactions have been done to date, my bank has asked for written complaint which i have made to them. some transactions have been done and i have not recieved the products too. transactions upto Rs 60,000 is done off which im not aware I have requested my bank to block any transactions from Living media, I would appreciate if all this money will be refunded back to my card.
                Customer care personnel were rude and not giving satisfactory answers to my queries.I like to name a few sr and jr sales executives who gave wrong informations tome and have fooled me saying alast payment to be done to close your file etc etc.
                I am very dissappointed with their services.
                I refused to take calls from b i today.Kuldip, Prashant Anuj Rahul Deepak Abishek Gaurav these are some names i remember . please take some action coz they are Maligning the Name of your Company.

                    I had paid for an order of a Giordano watch on Bagittoday.com on the 18th of February. The website guaranteed a 2-3 weeks delivery to my address of the item. Since then i had been making regular calls to their customer care to enquire about my order. They have been telling me to wait 2-3 days each time I call. The situation is so that after so many 2-3 days passing, they still do not have a record of my item on their database when it clearly shows on my profile of bagittoday.com that I have purchased the item on 18th of February. Such slackness is an insult to e-trading and I have lost all my trust on these e-trading websites. I request all customers to kindly rethink and if possible avoid investing their money in such agencies with such low degree of service. I request you to kindly take necessary actions.

                      i made a order of blackberry mobile from bag it today site group of india today book club.....but i cancelled my order next day............i called customer care and they told me the procedure i followed the procedure and send a mail at [protected]@bagittoday.com but no response i got from that............again i called and they gave me request no.............after 10 to 15 days i made a call to customer and asked him what happened with my order ..........he told me i transfer ur request and gave me another request no.............ok then again after 4 to 5 days i called ...same again ..............i have three request forward number.but no response.i get even ........................................i think they are froude company .

                        Hello,

                        I am kalidas Kahane living in pune. I ordered a goggle from BagitToda.com site on 17th January 2011. the Order number is "[protected]". As per the email the order should have been dispatched within 2-3 weeks. Its been almost 2 months I have not yet received my order. On 1st March they dispatched the order through Blue Dart but without paying the Octroi amount. Now the shipment is sent back to them by Blue Dart giving the reason of Octroi. I contacted BagItToday now they are saying it will take another 2-3 weeks to dispatch the order.

                        Please can you tell me what action can be taken against them.

                          Bag It Today is a most pathetic company I have ever experienced in online shopping. They are not trustworthy at all i had ordered novels on 16/08/2010 and made payment through credit card and have not received the parcel yet. Later i got to know my order is been cancelled and money is refunded to my account but alas i haven't received yet. They don't provide proper information to our query's. I make a appeal to all not to make any purchase from Bag It Today.

                            I am 200% sure that it is not going to materlise by the company bcoz it is already been more than 2 months to place the order and more than 45 days have past making followups and the same revert is marked by the company that they are following up with the courier company.

                            It is such a bad experience for a customer like me to start with, i had made the investment in order that if i got the prompt delivery response from the company, i will make big deal in future also.

                            If they are right at their end, why i had not received any phone call from the company

                              why you people are not understanding my problem that i tried to do the transaction once but on first chance amount was debited from my account but no order id was generated and error screen came . Then i again did the same transaction for the same amount. on second chance order id was generated of bag it today. thus if you try to understand my problem same amount has been debited twice from my account on first chance amount was debited but no order id was generated and error screen came . then on second chance amount was debited and order id was generated and i recieved the notification through email also. kindly refund the amount of first transaction during which error was generated. this is the enclosed copy of my statement also i have attached the statement of my account

                              1 is the successfull transaction in which order id was generated.

                              2 is the failed transaction in which amount was debited but no order id was generated .

                              I would kindly request you to look into this matter on top priority basis and do the needfull. i would request you to send me telephone number of any person who look after all these matters because when i call in customer care they are not ready to listen to me and they disconect the call. kindly refund the amount in my account as early as possible. Otherwise i will have to complaint at higher authority as you people are not ready to listen to my problem.

                              Bag It Today — Refund not given for last 75 days

                              This is to bring to you kind notice that I received a call from Bag it Today on 14th of August where I was forcefully convinced to buy products online. Accordingly I ordered one LCD TV of LG with following booking IDs:

                              It was promised to me that products will be provided minimum 7 days and maximum 21 days along with number of gifts of Gold Vouchers, track suit etc.
                              When the product and gifts were not received in due time line, I called number of times and every time response was different like Product is dispatched, product will not be dispatched due to out of stock, it will be dispatched, etc etc.
                              I requested on 8/9/10 to cancel the order and confirmation was given to me. when I again checked on 12/9/10, no request was processed, then they have me complaint no 621384. When I again checked today on 21/9/10 for refund, it is still not processed. A new complaint no 630529 is provided to me.
                              On my complaint on E mail, another Refund Reference number - RE10004281 on[protected] was given to me with promise of refudning my money soon. In response of my follow up for refund, they asked time for 21 days for internal process which is well over on 16th Oct But my refund is not given to me till date.

                              I am mentally and financially harassed and I am in depression. I have already intimated that for any unwanted situation with me, Bag it Today will be responsible.

                              Could Bag it Today pl explain me why I am mentally and financially harassed like anything. My money of Rs 31499/- is with you since 14.08.2010. I am mentally harassed by not providing product in time and by not refunding my money. Even phone is disconnected by some of your call centre people. Now I am not receiving any response from Bag it Today for last 7 days.
                              If needed I can also produce the mail trail I am having with this regard.

                              I expect a refund of my money immediately.

                                  I am Chirag Parikh. I received a call from bagittoday telesales on 23.02.2011 that i have won a fuji laptop and a 25000rs worth diamonds as i placed an order on 22.02.2011 and bagittoday was celebrating their anniversary on 22.02.2011 and i got selected as one of three to receive this gift.(1st Fraud)

                                  01. I was told by Mr. Vivek that the payment would be of 14799Rs through EMIs over 18months so i just gave my credit card information for payment but i did not gave any one time password for payment approval still money got deducted from my SBI credit card and that whole money 14799rs got diducted at a time only, no EMIs(2nd Fraud).

                                  02.Then i tried to know model number of laptop and customer care said that it is not a laptop it is a palmtop(3rd fraud).

                                  03. I tried calling for customer care on 01.03.2011 for cancellation of order.

                                  The customer care on [protected] said that the order can not be canceled over the phone and i need to send e-mail for cancellation of order. I sent numerous mails to [protected]@bagittoday.com, [protected]@bagittoday.com, [protected]@bagittoday.com, [protected]@bagittoday.com, [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com on 02.03.2011 and 03.03.2011. I called again on 03.03.2011 and the guy cut my phone twice so i again called and talked to Mr Bhagwat for cancellation of order and he gave me a request ID 69311 for cancellation and forwarded my call to Mr. Pankaj - a field supervisor. Mr Pankaj said first that he will try to cancel the order and then immediately out of the blue he said the order can not be canceled and no one can do anything to cancel the order and disconnected the phone. Then i
                                  got a mail reply from [protected]@bagittoday.com stating that the order can not be canceled as the invoice number has been generated.

                                  I asked Mr. Pankaj to cancel my order immediately to which i was told that my order is already "completely processed" so it cannot be canceled . however i can "refuse to accept the parcel" when it arrives. If the parcel has not yet been dispatched or even packed, why would bagittoday not cancel the order? I never thought that bagittoday an indiatodaybookclub company would do such a fraud to the online customers. Please cancel my order (Order ID: [protected]) and refund my valuable money. This is the worst online/telesales shopping experience i ever had.

                                  your staff at [protected] gives the same reply that the order cannpt be canceled and also all mail replies says the same. i don't know if i should forget my hard earned money or what as under the big name of india today, bagittoday seems just a fraud. If india today can help me get my money back it would be a great help.

                                  I rejected the courier on 8th march 2011, i want my money to be refunded. (Order ID: [protected])
                                  my mistake my reception desk person received and accepted the courier on 11th march. What i found was that there was no address at "if the courier was undelivered please return to", so even if i was to reject the courier the bluedart had no address to return this courier to, so bagittoday would claim that they never had a return of courier and so money can not be refunded. I even searched bagittoday, did not found the address to return the courier. The bagittoday is such a fraud company and i am thinking of filing an fir against them for online/telesales fraud and money grabbing/consumer cheating schemes.
                                  I have returned the courier of the order 307643 (Order ID: [protected]) by bluedart courier with waybill number [protected] on 17th march 2011. The courier has been received at India Today Book Club, B-47, Indira Enclave, Neb Sarai, New Delhi- 110068 on 21st march 2011. I called the customer care (Mr. Durgesh) about refund status on 26th march 2011 but he said that the system does not show the return of the courier yet and told me to call them after 2-3 days. After receiving the courier at their end, even after 5days there is no system update if the courier has been received or not, or what about the refund.

                                  I want the refund of the Order (Order ID: [protected]) 14799Rs. as well as the return courier charges 560Rs. Please do process refund before 10th April 2011 otherwise my credit card company will sue me for FINE for the late payment of the credit which i did not even wanted to use. I want my refund as soon as possible.
                                  Finally the confirmation of courier receiver by bagittoday which was returned on 17th march and was received at their end on 21st march. Please process the refund of the order (Order ID: [protected]) and the return courier money 560Rs. as soon as possible. If not refunded before 10th april 2011, the credit card due date would past it limit and my credit card company will fine me for not paying the credit. Please refund the money as soon as possible and save me the hassle of paying the extra FINE.
                                  thank you consumer complaints for helping me get the refund from bagittoday. and also thank you for returning the money after 44 days. i am still waiting for the return courier refund of 560rs.

                                    I bikash ranjan dash have got a call to purchase a kodak camera worth rs 9149.00 and i will get hard cash of rs 20,000.00 . But after doin transaction through credit card they have told me to generate another 2 ids inorder to complete the whole process. By this process they have done 3 more transaction ie. of rs 9149.00, 16199.00 and 7998.00 on 20 dec 2010. when i have complained it against this i got a mail from bag it today side that the money wil get refunded to your credit card account on 6 jan. And after that again i got mail that product have been dispatched and inorder to cancel that product i have to refuse the acceptance of product when it reaches to my door step.
                                    I have done the same way as suggested. But now krishna chowdhury and naveen kumar called me inoder to cancel my product i need to generate one id of rs 9798.00.
                                    but the customer care saying a different story.why should i purchase another product inorder to refund my money. please refund my money as it is getting too late and i have to give credit card intrest. please consider my case and refund my money against my transaction id[protected],[protected],[protected].please do it as soon as possible.
                                    Kindly look into this matter.I have generated several complaint like 27164,65152,67661. now i am getting frustrated.please do justice to me.

                                    i got a call from number [protected] company name bag it today telling that u are selected for the product of rs 30000 only u get in 13999.. i buyed this offer,, again they tell that u got a jackpot prize of 15399 but u have to pay for this firstly then after some days u get refund of 15399.. now they are not attending my call and they said that they will not give any refund.. i also have a call record in that they tell that they will not give money back do what u want. the name of the manager of the company is rahul chaudhary.. i have full cal recorded for proof.

                                    Bag it today is fraud marketing group. on 23/03/2013 company executive Miss Anu called from no. [protected] that I have selected a lucky customer and company will give free gifts ( a tablet, Samiya SD 0.3 carret diamond., maxima watches) for this I have to pay Rs. 15999 which will be refundable, the executive says that as per RBI norms no company will provide free gifts. so I had paid Rs. 15999, besides this they said they will be provide me a DVD player, Phillips sound system, Samiya SD 0.3 carret diamond for this I have to pay Rs.15499 . they promised me that both the money will refund cash within 10-15 day to me. After 15 day when I ask customer care they denied to refund my money. when I again talk to miss Anu, she says that my money will refund. But still I haven&amp;#039;t got my money. I ask Bag it today group to refund my money and please don&amp;#039;t cheat any customer.

                                      This is a scam. Initially it was called the India Today Book Club and now they have renamed it to Bag It Today, probably because of all the complaints and bad feedback (google and you would know what I mean). I am a victim myself - I had ordered 2 Benetton watches but got only one. I have been trying to get them to work on my complaint for a long time but had no luck. Then one day, a week back, I got a call from one of their reps, Akshay Thakur, who said that the company is offering gifts to all irate customers (he had no clue about the status of my complaint though). He confirmed my shipping address and provided me with a booking ID 44009597.
                                      Of course I did not believe him, so called the Bag it Today customer care number to check if it's true. While the rep at the other end, Mr Abbas, confirmed that they are sending gifts as compensation to dissatisfied customers, however, he could not track the booking ID Mr. Thakur had provided me. His excuse was that it takes 1 week's time for the system to get updated. I called them again a week later, this time I was answered by a Mr Qadir, who could not track the booking ID either. So my advice to whoever is reading this - beware of this company!

                                        This is to bring to your notice that there are fake calls happening on behalf of India today book club to dupe consumers just like i was.

                                        I received a call from a person day before yesterday who said he was calling from the verification dept of India today book club. He said that there have been many complaints registered against ITBC and inorder to make ammends they have now decided to identify a few existing consumers and offer them products at 90% discount.

                                        The products were worth Rs 1 lac ( Sony LCD TV, Blackberry phone & Compaq laptop) which would be offered to me at Rs 10,000 flat. All i had to do is to transfer the money to an account after which they would give me courier details of the package that would be delivered to me at my residence. I was wary of the offer as it seem to be a hoax but the person convinced me that this was not a sale that he was making and thus he would not force me to accept it. It is complete voluntary to accept or reject the offer. Besides the amount will go into charity and i will also receive a tax certificate for the same. Though not fully convinced I decided to take a chance.

                                        However before making any transfer to the bank acount provided by the person( Care Today foundation, account no [protected], IFC code PUNB0189400), i called up the bagit customer care number and inquired if there was any such offer from India today. They told me that the offer was genuine so i decided to proceed with the needful. I even spoke to a person who pretended to be a senior at the verification department for confirming the bank details required for the NEFT process.

                                        Now that the amount of Rs 10,000 has got transferred to the said account and i have not received any call whatsoever and when i called the bagit customer care number again, the same person told me that it was a fake call and that i just got cheated.

                                        I have lost all trust & respect for India today Book Club even if the call was a hoax( i am not sure about this???). That there are many such complaints against ITBC on the net just validates my concern. I will not recommend ITBC to anybody in the near future and instead warn them of taking any offers.

                                        I want want an explanation of this fraud and a refund of the money.
