This complaint is with regard to the customer service in Deepa Gas Agencies (Indian Oil).

Complaint against - The delivery boy and Manager of Deepa Gas agency
Complaint:
Today there is a scheduled power cut in our Area, hence there is no power between 9 am and 5 PM. We stay in an apartment in the 3rd floor. The delivery boy from Deepa Gas agency came today and said since there is power cut and the lift is not working he will leave the Gas downstairs and asked us to bring it up when the power comes. I refused to it and said, that's not acceptable and he will have to deliver it at home. That guy then raised his voice and said he cannot bring it up. When I objected and told him that I will be forced to complaint to the agency he handed me the slip and said "call"
To my shock the agency took it very lightly first and said that they will not deliver the cylinder to our apartment. When I asked him as to what will he do if they had to deliver the cylinder to a customer who does not have lift in his house - He said, "we will not deliver"
When I refused to this and said that this is not acceptable and being in the service industry they should look at the consumers need and not their comfort. To this the Manager raised his voice and spoke very rudely and said - "if you have money go and buy in black, we will not deliver the cylinder" and he kept the phone.
This is the most inappropriate behaviour I have seen from a vendor.
Feedback about Manager - He does not know how to deal with his customers. Very poor skills in handling customer queries, doesn't know to converse in English, Doesn't treat customers with dignity, bangs the phone instead of handling and solving the query, no interest in solving the query, doesn't care about the customer discomfort and the bad name the agency and Indane will face because of him. COMPLETE UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR
Feedback about the delivery Personnel - Very arrogant, lays his own terms to delivery the cyclinder (availability of Lift, extra money) doesn't follow Indane rules and speaks rudely with the customers.
If any of the Indane officials are viewing this complaint then its high time you act on it. I have already reported about how this agency books cylinders on our name and blacks it. Now, they have unacceptable terms in even delivering the cylinders on time. Just because the agency has huge customer base their behaviour is very unethical. This will and is already spoiling the name of "Indane" as a company. If Indane doesnt take any action that means they carry the same attitude which is very disappointing for a customer like us who are associated with Indane for decades.
