I booked 2 tatkal e-ticket through irctc from kalyan to pune which turn out to be waiting while processing through payment. It showed 17 available while booking but during online payment process, it went to waiting and directly i got wl/9 and w/10
Now after chart preparation, the ticket still remained waiting as wl/3 and wl/4 which were auto-cancelled by irctc, since passengers are not allowed to board train on waiting etickets, i had to take another general tickets to travel. And moreover, cancellation charges of 120 rs got deducted while refund with no fault of mine??

To my surprise, i saw there was deduction of cancellation charges and i got refund post cancellation charges deduction from irctc.
This is really really unfair. I could not understand 2 below simple points.
1) when passenger having waiting ticket from window can travel then why not waiting eticket passenger are allowed to travel?
2) if waiting e-tickets are auto cancelled by irctc then why they deduct cancellation charges before refunding??
This is clear case of cheating passengers by indian railways (Irctc)
Request you to kindly look into urgently and resolve this.
