There are 2 issues.

1) I have booked 2 tickets from Allahabad JN(ALD) to Bangalore JN (SBC) (SANGHA MITRA 12296) on 21/Sep/2015 for the travel date 17/November/2015.
Out of which, only 1 tickets got confirmed after chart prepared and One was in waiting list after chart prepared.

Not sure what is the algorithm logic on IRCTC end while booking railway tickets. Whatever preference you provide, lower berths are never allotted even if you are trying for a senior citizen or female category.
