On the Occasion of Dussera festival I traveled to and fro from Bangalore to Hyderabad.
Below are the travel details...
PNR : [protected] YPR – KCG DOJ :[protected] YPR-KCG EXP
PNR : [protected] KCG – SBC DOJ :[protected] BANGALORE EXP
In the above Journey PNR : [protected] dated[protected] YPR-KCG EXP, the train was started at 15:30 from YPR, TTE was supposed to check the tickets in the train as early as the train starts but unfortunately TTE came at 12:30 – 01:00AM i.e., 8hours after the journey was started in the midnight for ticket checking and he demanded to pay extra Rs.20 from me(2 persons me & my spouse). I was astonished and asked why you are collecting extra fare from the passengers, he replied, as this was towards the Railway fares are increased by 2%, and as I was demanded for a receipt of extra fare he said that the receipt would not be given to each and every PNR but it will receipted for whole train in a single recpit.
That was not only me from whom he collected the extra fare, but from all the passengers who were travelling in the train.
I checked the newspaper in the morning and found that the extra fare of 2% will applicable from 17-Oct 2013, if the tickets are already booked before the date specified it would be collected from TTE during journey.
And proceeding to return Journey from KCG – SBC PNR : [protected] dated[protected] BANGALORE EXP, there were no extra charges collected from TTE during the time of journey.
As this return journey(PNR [protected]) was 5days after the first journey(PNR [protected]), If the collection of the extra fare was as per the rules, why the return journey(PNR [protected]) TTE was not collected the extra fare.
This clearly shows the TTE at the first journey (PNR [protected]), was wrongly imposed the extra fare charges on all the passengers in the train and he was looting the whole public in the train as he was representing the government and doing so.
This is not the matter of Rs.20 which I paid to TTE, but this was regarding the loot in the whole train and was representing government to do this, and I wanted to bring to the notice to the higher officials so that Aam-Admi is being cheated.

Background of the Issue
1. On 26 Oct have made a online purchases worth Rs 1985/ through the channel of IRCTC online shopping portal, my transaction process got completed & system generated the ordered no -IRSP4642131 & received sms & mail for order confirmations
2. On 27 Oct when checked my order status I got confused because my order shipped to Bangalore, @ the same time made a call to irctc help desk Ms manisha said you have entered two pin code so it’s your mistake now your order will cancel, she was not able to listen anything neither transfer to call any of the senior person & held me for mistake.
3. Since then keep calling to IRCTC had word with Ms Ishali. Ms Neha. Mr Divye & Mr Rahul each one is telling you have done the mistake so your order canceled now, even I asked to them send the same box to me i am ready to bear the delivery charges, I got surprised Mr Rahul said you can do whatever you want this is our company policy .if the company policy is not transparent for customer who are the base of the business what the use of such policy .
4. Even i don’t know how dual pincode has come in my address, supposed I did the mistake but the person who prepared the box @ delivery center stick the customer address on box that time he should noticed that how two pincode can be possible in one address, neither I got call or nor any mail regarding wrong pin code, at lest you should hold the delivery till the pin code confirmations or build a system such a manner that it can be correct automatically.
5. There are no such policy in irctc website that if pin code is wrong delivery will get cancel .
6. Requesting to the senior management to take the issue seriously why customer should suffer .
7. It seem no one tracking the customer grievances the kind of behavior employee carrying its very harmful in long term run it’s a service industries customer service employee feel the pain of customer then they can be success in their filed.
8. When my box was in Bangalore that time i put a remarks on columns that I belong to Mumbai why have you sent order in blr.
9. Hoping to get the my ordered soon before knocking the door of legal consumer court.
