The Catering was by Sunshine Caterers Pvt. Ltd.
Complaints:
1. Snacks provided were substandard. Mango drink was of local packaging ( Manpasand Agro Foods, Jaunpur) without any Mfg/Expiry date.
2. As against usual sandwich provided in snacks, on train 12003 Rs. 5/- Namkeen packet was given. and in train number 12034 a Rs.2/- BUN was given.
3. SAMOSAS were the staple snack on both the trains without any manufacturer name/date of manufacturing/Expiry date and were soggy with stale potato stuffing.
4. Milk Powder (local brand without date of expiry - curdled during tea making)./ Tea bag of local brand Mohni tea , again without mfg./expiry. / No availability of Coffee sachet/ as against two tea bags, two milk powder sachets and two sugar sachets , only ONE each was given, making it impossible to have tea.
5. Insufficient crockery / plastic ups for tea/ Thermos for hot water for tea... making them ask back the same from the passengers mid meals, and serving without proper washing/cleaning to another passengers.
6. TTE on duty/ Guards were informed and rather than providing complaint book, they argued alongwith catering manager that nothing is going to happen.
7. I even called Sunshine Caterers Pvt. Ltd and sent SMS Complaint too on their numbers [protected]/[protected]/[protected] but they behaved rudely and did not reply to SMS.

Indian Railways — sub standard coaches

Dear sir
I had travelled from Trivandrum to Madgaon by 2431 Rajdhani exp on 8-05-08 and returned by 2432 Rajdhani exp from Madgaon to Trivandrum on 12-05-08.It is appalling to note that the A/c 3T coaches provided on both occassions were worse than the coaches of local passenger trains.The toilets did not have locking facilities and coackroaches and rats were seen running around at night on the berths. Also the catering services were so bad that literally we had to fight for food when we boarded from madgaon at Noon on 12th may.It may be noted that the ticket charges includes food therefore the caterers are supposed to provide to all passengers.
The conditions of the Coaches were so bad on both the occassions that it was impossible to believe that we were travelling in a rajdhani exp.The same train must be running all these years without the notice of any authorities.
This simply looks like a stepmotherly attitute to Keralites as i dont think the authorities would run such trains from Bombay to delhi etc.
Passengers from south do pay the same fare so services must be alike everywhere.I am so disgusted with callous attitute of railway officials and ulimately hapless passengers like us suffer in silence.
in this regard i request certain remedial measures in this aspect so that at least in future passengers who pay high fares in rajdhani gets comfortable travel.

What more do you expect in this filthy country? Soon you will see snakes also. This is a slum dog country where more than 100 people are cramped into a coach like filthy pathetic animals. The worst quality catering service in chandigarh delhi ahatabdi 12046. Even the the servivice attendent rude behaviour was a topping on ice cake.

Indian railawya need to take a strict action may please be taken to sustain passengers faith and trust to travel .

Soup was serverved hot but the neither the soup stick ot spoon is served. Neither the service attendent has any solution to this . The service attendent evrn did not bothered to listen for a simple request to serve spoon an an alternate.

The soup became chill and cold for over a 30 min period and nove of the staff bothethered to have any guity towrds such eratic attitude .

Thanks to Indian railway who is more cautious to charge a passenger than to service.

    I m a regular user of irctc having more than one account but i use only one account as my regular usage.I haven't got mails that all(with user id:MUTHAKANI and rohith3780) my accounts are deactivated which are utmost important to me. I have to cancel ticket for 5th june 2013 from this(rohith3780) account. I am using this account only for personal purposes and not for commercial use.

    So, please consider this mail and activate the account mentioned above as soon as possible.

      On[protected] I was ordered my breakfast poori masala in IRCTC Canteen located in 1st floor,Athulya Infopark,Kakkanad,Cochin and i had paid 100/- rupees instead of 30/-rupees.The employee in cash counter gave a token(for breakfast food) and a 10/- rupees balance instead of 60/- rupees.After my breakfast i was asked for remaining balance amount and then they replied me please come after 11'o clock.I met them at 12.00PM,I didn't get any cash balance and they were treated me as a liar.I lost my 60 rupees.Please check this issue and refund rupees 60/- as soon as possible.

      IRCTC — Remaining Amount not received from IRCTC

      Dear Sir/Mam
      I am booked the one ticket 5 March 2011 Date of Journey 17 March 2011 From Gurgaon to Jodhpur But Train was cancelled on 17 March 2011 and I am file the TDR for refund But after some days I am received only 122/- But my ticket amount is 244 + 10 = 254 . Many times i mailed to IRCTC but always same reply received your amouunt credit shortly... But 5-6 month I am not received remaining amout....Train Number 14059/DLI JSM EXPRESS, PNR NO.[protected] .

        ON 25TH,MAY/ IN TRAIN JAN SHATABDI,Train Number : 12078,pnr no.[protected] , on my ticket i had no.D5 /45,46,47(WS).BUT IT WAS not THE CORRECT NUMBER FOR WINDOW SEAT which is 48 on the number plate above the seats. the person who booked at railway station came and argued and this MR. PANEESH KUMAR. TTE also collude with them telling IRCTDC is a third party and their seat number is invalid.AND WE DID NOT GET EVEN ONE WINDOW SEAT. NUISANCE altercation ensued and finally i alongwith my children boy and daughter give away our window seat NO:47( as mentioned in our ticket) due to improper booking method of IRCTC. in the presence of whole compartment, what this irctc for booking wrong seat numbers and railway tte is saying you are not at all railways.he need not obey you.
        but tte is permittting lot o[censored]nreserved people to crowd inside reserved compartments further suffocating travellling people.
        for suitable action on your method of train seat numbering and for action against TTE in the above train please.

        Indian Railway — Improper Allotment of Seats

        While booking the ticket (on 6th April 2009) the on line berth status from Jaipur to BDTS was shown available and from Ajmer to BDTS it was 11 waiting. So to get a confirm ticket I booked from Jaipur to BDTS (which was shown as available) and boarding at Ajmer. This transaction has cost me Rs. 26/- extra fair per head, since it was from Jaipur to BDTS and not Ajmer to BDTS. But when ticket was finally generated it has allotted me waiting number starting from 11 in spite of charging full fair from Jaipur to BDTS.

        I have been shown confirm seats at time of booking of ticket but when finally ticket was generated after payment, I have got waiting number. Infact seats were available even after booking the ticket, so why your system has generated waiting number on my ticket has not been look by your department till now. This is the perfect case of fraud under Information Technology Act 2000.

        I had immediately emailed the above described complaint but except for acknowledgment I have received no response from rail official and now nearly one month has passed.

        Indian railway is the perfect example of irresponsible government department where no one seems to accountable or concern of customer complaint in spites of several communication I have not received any response from railway. My several attempt to communicate to customer care service over phone call has prove infructuous, the personnel only want some how get rid of call instead of resolving the matter.

        Railways — IMPROPER BOOGIE ATTACHED

        Today i came to indore on Malwa Exp train no 2920. I was booked for AC-II and my seat no was 46. I boarded the train at New Delhi and was amazed to see that A-1 boggie which was supposed to be AC-II was half AC-II and half AC-III. Thus my seat shifted to AC-III.
        My god INSTEAD O[censored]PGRADING, INDIAN RAILWAYS DOWNGRADED ME.
        I was really upset and so were my co passengers and even the poor TTE. IS THIS WHAT NEW RAILWAY MINISTER (Ms MAMTA BANERJEE) HAS GOT TO OFFER US.
        ON ENQUIRY IT WAS FOUND THAT IT IS CONTINUING FROM LAST 15 DAYS.
        YOU ARE REQUESTED TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER AS IT SHOWS VERY POOR OF RAILWAY MANAGEMENT.

        IRCTC — Inconvenience due to improper seat

        The seat which was provided to me ( Seat No -23 , Coach No- B3 ) in Intercity Express ,From Indore To Nizamuddin ,on 30 May,2011 was not proper. This caused a great deal of inconveinience and mental harrasment and physical too.So please look into my complaint and take an action so that in future nobody faces such kind of problem.

          I HAVE BOOKED TRAIN TICKETS FROM BANGALORE TO KOPARGAON ON 29TH APRIL2013 THROUGH MY ICICI DEBIT CARD,DUE TO SOME PROBLEM WITH IRCTC TICKET WAS NOT BOOKED BUT PAYMENT WAS MADE.TOTALLY 5 TIMES SAME THING HAS HAPPENED,IRCTC REFUND STATUS IS SHOWING AS AMOUNT REFUNDED BUT IT IS NOT CREDITED TO MY ICICI BANK ACCOUNT,IT IS ALMOST 1 MONTH, I HAVE TRANSACTION DETAILS KINDLY DO NEEDFULL.

            hi ,

            raising a complaint regarding the poor reliability of IRCTC webiste , The site takes a very long time to process a request , Even after processing the request the transaction fails in most of the cases after payment getaway step.

            It is really frustraing because in first case the tciket is not booked and money is also debited from the account,

            refund happens after 3 days but after cutting the services charges .. we are actually paying for services that failed and it is definitely not our fault ...

            On 1st oct 2009, I was tried to book a ticket from Rajgir to New Delhi in tatkal quota and want Jaunpur is boarding point but whenever I was changing the boarding point from Rajgir to Jaunpur then after payment error page shows.

            I was tried 10 times but the same thing was occuring again and again, so that i was contacted to customer care they told me this is looking an issue related to boarding point change, they request me pls do not change boarding point and book ticket from Rajgir to New Delhi and change your boarding point from railway reservation counter.

            So that I booked the ticket from Rajgir tp New Delhi and go to the reservation counter but those guys denied to change the boarding point.

            I was lost my money also my train.

            After 8 days again I was tried to book the same ticket and i was faced the same problem.

            IRCTC — Poor Maintenance of website

            It is bring to your notice that, the process of IRCTC website is very slow. For booking a ticket it is taking almost 1 hr and most of the time not able to success. Even compare with Face book, Google and some other social websites they are maintain and bring users request in the second’s time and billions and billions of people accessing the on same time. But it is giving data’s in second’s time. And the same time we are making crore of rupees profit through this railway. But they are maintaining the website very poor.

            Please take a note of this and do necessary action please.

            the worst thing with the irctc is they are maintaining worst cluster, THEY ALSO KNOW this, why cant they look for solutions by providing CDN(content distribution networks), atleast if they are reluctant to give the project to outside companies, give it indian companies or form a company for deciding.there is huge flow of money for indian railways so thats not a matter.

              No Refund for Cancelled e-Ticket

              I had booked eticket on[protected] being Transaction ID No.[protected] and PNR No.[protected] for which total fare of Rs.1080/- were paid through debit card of Bank of Baroda, Mulund (West) Branch, Mumbai.

              I cancelled the said eticket on[protected] which shows that said eticket has been cancelled and an amount of Rs.990/- shall be refunded to said account within short time, but till date no refund has been made without any reason...

              Dear all who is reading...

              First of all ,I want to ask what is mean by tatkal ticket ???
              In my view it is said that urgently ticket required for travel so it mean that people can get travel in urgently whenever required.......

              But No, i think government have open Tatkal in the view of making money for other people.

              From So many Day i try to have ticket but no success...in way of Internet online or in counter line ..

              As people who is standing in line from night to morning so that he/she may be get ticket but result there is already only 10-15 ticket left for general public other ticket already sold to Agent to higher payable person,

              and on Online i[censored] try it, response that page is unavailable or error ....
              in that situation everyone think that page is in traffic due to heavy people try to connect ,,

              But no, in real case all the agent throughout the country is already having the ticket before we should get it.

              Think lightly, if government really want to give the service to public then why the government is not looking for the same,

              What is IRCTC or Ministry of Railways doing to improve this website performance? This is just RIDICULOUS, waiting for 1 hour to book a single ticket!!!
              Worst service. Poor service. Bad service. IRCTC website.
              Whenever i try to book ticket exactly at 10:00 AM its said site is currently unreachable then what the purpose of tatkal scheme?

                Dear sir,
                I want to know the information about my TDR which transaction id is [protected] and pnr number is [protected], currently it is showing pending status, i filled it 21 april and expecting that the TDR should be resolved now, so kindly check it why it is taking so much time ,the reason of filling TDR is that one of my ticket is upgraded from ac 3 tier to 2 tier and other will be cancel due to waiting status.

                  I have forget my password and unfortunately my registered id is no longer available . So they should map it to new id which they are not doing , They are giving things that not really possible . What is the use of the e-ticketing system if there are so much complexity. The delhi consumer care number is not available ( service to this number is withdrwan ) what needs to be done . How can i send mail from registered id to cancel my tickets .Already mentioned my id is already closed .Any help if i can reset and get a new password to my new email id or in person . Please help in this regard. Urgent.

                    I have to book a Tatkal ticket from IRCTC, As per new rules it starts after 10 Am ,
                    I was so ready on start line, IRCTC site opened and logged in already

                    And here its 10AM exact---> CLICKED TO FIND TRAIN ----> BOOOM ---> ERROR MSG POP UP "HTTP 503 Error ".

                    Tried again Logging , Reload, everything possible but same response HTTP 503 ERROR.

                    In general terms 503 error means occurs due to "overloading or services temporary unavailable due to server side" WTF

                    I Just screwed up what the hell man , if site was not available then where all these tatkal tickets gone for all trains.
                    This seems like some fraud behind the seen again for tatkal tickets.
                    one should look into this, I dont know whom i should complain and how much this information could be helpful.
                    So here i m posting for just for knowledge , No expectation for better

                    New IRCTC site has been launched. I had veru worst experiennce with the new sirte and mst of the time i am getting service unavailable. looks like the server cnfiguration is very bad. I started booking the ticket when I found 196 tikcets open. I am using 512 kbps speed Airtel broadband connection. but i coulnd't book one ticket till it is closed. I have crossed 15 minutes. when i checxed it again there is no ticket open in th list. From Chennai to nagercoil. We are toally unhappy with the way Railway board is doing it. THis is unacceptable . Very bad services for indian people. I am toally disappointment. :-( . Ssrry i have to raise this concern for people benifit.

                    Hello,
                    This complaint is regarding the poor & bad service of IRCTC to it passengers. I have been trying to book my tickets from my home town in Maharashtra to Kalyan on early 8am on 27th May 2011 for Date of 29th May2011. But the Irctc site was working very slowly ans in couple of minutes i.e exactly by 08:07am the tickets were already in 'W/L' or some in 'REGRET'. I don't understand this system. Also the reservations in tatkal were shown W/L on later dates like 30th May, 31st May, which are not yet opened for booking as you have to book only 2 days earlier. I am Really frustrated with this service. None of the times i am not able to book my tickets in Tatkal Qouta. Also the Agents must not be allowed to book online. I think there is some type of cordination with ticketing agents & irctc or Railway employees so, the Online passengers are not available with Tickets in Tatkal.
                    Also the Call Centre what IRCTC claims to be 24X7, is not so, i tries calling on this no. in morning at same time of 08:30am was not answered for more then 30-45 mins. I Request to Seriously look into this matter and take required action. As we are not satisfied with the service even though paying extra money for this online services. Thank you.

                    During booking a Tatkal Ticket on personal computer on boradband net connectivity, It has been found that filling Captcha before going for payment, the server does not respond properly in-spite of putting correct capcha ( case sensitive). After few minutes when all tickets book on quota, I common people allowed for waiting tickets only in tatkal quota. This is happening since last month. Whereas so called tour travel insure to provide tatkal ticket on paying extra money Rs.[protected] each ticket. Please look into the issue. Please also advise me for other higher move for solving the issue.

                        I booked a Tatkal ticket after a long struggle (irctc site is very busy) to-day morning thro' netbanking by icicibank.com; Amt. has been debited in my account.
                        But, a message 'Amount not received' is available when I try to know the status of booked tickets.
                        When amount is debited, I should get ticket.
                        Who is responsible? icicibank or irctc
                        Many persons have experienced like this

                          on 9th May 2013 Night..from pune to gorakhpur for 2 passengers

                          at the time of jouney our ticket is wait list no 63-64.
                          while travelling TT comes at night 12.40 on[protected] and told us to your ticket is cancelled
                          and you have to pay for the same of Rs.1650/-

                          we have made a payment as per TT's instruction.

                          What about the refund of my above ticket ?????

                          This system not passenger friendly.. All ideas bring by railway for agents and brokers only.

                          At present travel agents chargingRs. 2000/- for a Rs.700/- ticket .

                          Nobody serious about poor passengers.

                              hi, Myself rohit sharma-[protected], my complaint is for irctc & their misguiding tour packages. i had booked the tour for 4 person through irctc called "vaishno devi economy package" 3night 4days, start date of package was 23-4-13 & train timing was 8:50 pm. they fooled me by not showing & giving proper information on their website about how they count 3 nights & 4 days(they count 1 day & 1 night for 23rd April, train timing is 8:50 in the same night) bcoz of that i suffered alot in both ways mentally & financially. i want compensation for the problems i have face just bcoz of irctc. & for the other people who are thinking to book a irctc package i strictlly suggest do not book irctc tour package.

                                i have booked ticket from irctc on 16/04/2013 from paddhari to mumbai central in train number 19006 in 3 ac tatkal quota while i was booking ticket status was showing available hence i booked ticket but when chart was prepared status was showing w/l 2 so i have not travelled on that day and waited to get my refund i have also called irctc customer care and asked about refund theyy told me it will be refund in next four working days but after still not recieveng my refund on fifth day i called back to customer care they said it was confirmed ticket and hence they cannot make any refund when i aked for seaqt no and coach no they are not replying so now aht to do any help.

                                  This complaint is about the two TDRs filed under Eastern Railway on 19th October, 2012, the corresponding PNR numbers being[protected]Transaction ID - [protected]) and [protected] (Transaction ID - [protected]). The tickets were for the NDLS-HWH Pujo Special, which was more than 10 hours late and therefore I expect a full refund of the amount spent on booking the tickets. Both the tickets were booked online (using my 'subhyatra' account) and the TDRs were also filed through the website of IRCTC. Now, with more than 6 months already over and no improvement in the status of the said TDR files, I am completely puzzled about what to do in order to save my about seven thousand bucks.
                                  I had mailed tdrprocess on 14th February and they had cared to reply yesterday only, and here is the reply:

                                  firstly, where do I get the damned letter? secondly, how do I know why the EDR was not fed? what kind of an irresponsible behaviour is this? The train was more than 10 hours late, why should not the TDR be processed then?
                                  I request the concerned authority to take prompt action ensuring refund of the due amount at the earliest possible.

                                  IRCTC, RAILWAY TICKET — REGARDING TDR

                                  Dear sir,
                                  kindly guide me to whom should i make complaint for payment of my TDR as it is pending for more than 6 months.

                                  I received a letter from IRCTC in January that the case has been transferred to the eastern region...but still its more than 2 months since then even.

                                  Sir its a matter of great regret that a passenger has to write so many times for the refund and still has to wait.Even i called them so many times.

                                  Please sir guide me where should i mail so that i get the refund...
                                  as i have paid money to the railways for the above tickets cash and now i want the refund please.

                                  kindly let me know the time taken max in the process as the time given was within 3 months of the tdr date.This is a very disgraceful matter for Indian railway that they are not taking care of there passengers.

                                  please assure if i am sure of getting the refund.
                                  sir, such delay in my rightful claim from railways is discouraging me to use the services of railways for internet bookings.

                                  This has been really ahorrible experience with the IRCTC as I am yet to received my refund towards the TDR request which is filed on 04the may 2009.These guyes even are not replying to my mails and updating me of any progress. I am really disapoointed of this horrible customer serivce.

                                  Can anyone help me out as I am crying in wilderness and no help from this (irctc).

                                  I had booked two online Railway tickets from Jalandhar city to Lucknow train No. 3050/HWH EXPRESS date of boarding 12 Dec. 2009 on the name of Narinderjeet and Inderjit Kaur . Total amount paid was Rs. 1756 ( 878?878) but we missed the train so we at once went to the agent Kohli Times Jyoti Chowk Jal City to get the refund. He told us that we will get the refund after three months. Now it is over four months I have not got the refund .                                   i tried to book a ticket for 9th NOV 2010 and everything was fine till payment gateway but after that when i submitted the card details this message came

                                      FCUK IRCTC services, bloody hell. They revise the price from lower to higher. They dont provide proper services. We have not said anything. But When we try to book TATKAL ticket online, site is not opening during booking hours, when all tickets are booked by authorized Agents of IRCTC, bull sites open n shows ticket not available. Then we have to rush to agents & pay huge amounts to get TATKAL tickets. Already they charge TATKAL fee, then too we have to pay more 300-500 extra on a ticket. It means we have to pay Rs.600-800 extra for a TATKAL tickets. What government is this, please take action against it & make 2-3 sites to book tickets, also add more servers to run hassle free ticket booking. I will proceed this with Higher Courts & Even media with video recording of ticket booking fraud by IRCTC. Fcuk IRCTC.
