    Sir/Madam,
    I booked a ticket for my mother in law in train no - 12397 from Gaya to Delhi dated - 27 July 2013. Journey date was 31st July 2013 in 3 tier A/C , PNR no : [protected] . At the time of booking , ticket status was RAC 8. On our journey date when we reached to the station, we came to know that after chart preparation our ticket status changed from RAC to waiting. As it was e-ticket, we were told that ticket will get automatic cancelled. we had an emergency to reach to Delhi, so we booked a tatkal ticket for next day.
    Till Today, I have not received my money back for the 31st July ticket. So I had the loss of: my one day + taxi fare from my home to railway station + Ticket charge of 1132/- + tatkal ticket charge of next day.

    Please help me.

      dear sir
      i tryied to booked my tatkal rail ticket throurh IRCTC web site but at the time of 8:am to 8:20 am the service not available so how can i booked my rail ticket online while on the same time railway counter booking is going on ,

      plz help us to protect this tipe of fourd service

          IRCTC — Excess Money Charged

          Dear Sir,

          On 23rd May 2010 i was travelling from banglore city to mumbai in Udyan express and i had a very bad experience on the banglore railway station. The irctc employees who sell on movable trolleys were selling mineral water at Rs. 15/- per bottle instead of the printed price of Rs. 12/-....assuming they sell 1000 bottles a day these buggers would be making a whopping 1 lac rupees a month....there is no accountablity or check by the railway authorities..whom to be complained??

          Indian Railway — Unwanted charging

          Iam a frequent traveller in train . But in trivandrum they charge ten rupee for two hours for staying in higher class waiting room. Iam not been charged any time in other cities/states. Please urgently look in to the matter. They never give bills but after fighting with the counter person and got the bill. Iam here with attaching the copy of the bill.

            Hi,

            I had booked TO n FRO tatkal tickets from IRCTC website, PNR details listed below...

            Journey 127/2013 : BCT - SUNR - [protected]
            Return Journey 13/7/2013 : SUNR - BCT - [protected] ( Boarding VG )

            TDR :ekt[protected], ekt[protected]

            The train from BCT supposed to leave 12/7 at 8:25pm got delayed by 9hrs on 13/7 at 5:45.. As my return journey was on 13/7 ( same day of late departure ) I filed for a TDR for both TO n FRO journey as the delayed train would reach the destination on 13/7 at 4:30pm and my return train was scheduled to departure at 7:30pm and I can't afford to complete the work and catch the train...

            Now in reply to the TDR filed, IRCTC says that confirmed tatkal tickets cannot have a refund for the return journey... This just doesn't make any sense as the cancellation was because of the late departure of the train from BCT and not from my part...

            Therefore i would request some from IRCTC or Western Railway to look into this matter and get me the refund processed for both journey's...

            IRCTC — IRCTC - TDR Refund

            Hi,

            I have booked an i-ticket, and journey date being 10-Nov-2007 (Vizag to Mumbai CSTM, 3A). On the date of journey, since my ticket status was in WL, i had cancelled the ticket, as guided by TICKETING OFFICER, in Visakhapatnam.

            The original ticket was deposited there and the TDR receipt was sent by Blue Dart courier to Chief Commercial Manager (Claims & Refunds), E.Co.Railway, Bhubaneswar on 27-Nov-2007. After the scanned copy of TDR receipt to IRCTC ([protected]@irctc.co.in) on 20-Feb-2008.

            Since that date i have called serval times to IRCTC TDR contact centre, sent serveral mails and there is no response. Every time i get to hear that reminders have been sent to the concerned, but there is no action. Even i have got physcial copies of those reminders but they do not help.

            God knows who can help me in this. The refund process is disgusting & hopeless.

            Please do the needful.

            IRCTC tickets — TDR Refunds

            Sir,
            The IRCTC has got a unique way of doing fraud with customers who file for TDR.
            It has happened with me twice for a e-ticket which i cancelled after the charts were prepared.
            They have a very simple reply stating that the customers had travelled.
            One for PNR No. [protected] of which the message i have attached below and one for PNR No. [protected].

            Why there is such status in IRCTC for no refund. I want my full refund on immediate basis.

            All the necessary docs are attached for the ref.

              Please activate my irctc account matinmkhan
              It was deactivated by IRCTC.
              I have never used this account for any Fradulent activities. I had not used this account form last year. i want to used my irctc account for ticket booking
              I am supposed to travel on 29 August and need

                  I am getting same error like you, if i try file TDR, if select "Cancel E-Ticket /Refund" or Booked History and continue to File TDR .

                  So try below method

                  Login irctc.co.in(booked account) > My transactions > File TDR ..Select ticket and reason to file TDR .

                    As per the instruction i have followed all steps to book my ticket through cleartrip. But after the payment transaction successful. i got the error. This is very bad. It was the the very urgent to travel and in my card the amount already deducted. I had money to book ticket only. This is not fair. This should not happen to any one like me.

                      I have seen many failed transcations and was not able to help myself as the amount has not been refunded at all.

                      i have made most of the transactions thorugh my HDFC Bank and i have checked with them.

                      They mentioned that the amount has not been decucted from thier HDFC accounta,and has been transferred to IRCTC for all of these failed transactions,so they will not be holding any responsibiility.

                      i have checked all my old transactions and havent seen any refunded amount from your side or either from the bank side.

                        My self Ankit Agrawal. Few days back I have booked four tickets via (IRCTC) E-Ticket.

                        When I actually booked the tickets they were in waiting list but as soon as chart has prepared one of them has been confirmed. But due to some reason nobody travelled from that reservation and I filled the TDR for only confirmed one and tried to cancel rest three tickets but due to some network problem I was not able to cancel them as I was traveling that time.

                        Now today when I am trying to file TDR for rest three tickets as I do remember I have 30 days to file TDR. But I got to know about your new policy that TDR can be filed with in only 7 days now.

                        Now my request is as at the time of booking I had provision to file TDR with in 30 days and this new policy was not previously mentioned so that I can made a note and took action in 7 days. Kindly refund my reservation amount after deducting applicable charges.

                        Also, please let me know the status of confirmed one that TDR I have filed as I have not received any refund yet.

                          after reaching SNSI station,
                          It was clearly written on chart board as well in TC office that 51034
                          was cancelled at SNSI station.
                          You can check the trainenquiry.com on 29th december the 51034 was
                          cancelled. We also checked on the same
                          day.
                          How i could travel in cancelled train , after that i purchase a ticket
                          to mumbai via manmad and reached mumbai by different train.
                          I request to check log of 29th December, the train 51034 was cancelled
                          on that day.
                          I am 100% correct on this, train was cancelled and there is no chance
                          to travel on cancelled train.
                          Please look into this... this is serious concern, you are showing a
                          fake letter no: BCR080113V74019 and the reason being : 'As per chart,
                          passenger has traveled'

                          IRCTC — TDR PAYMENT

                          filled two TDR on date 07-01-09 ref no ekt [protected] and ekt [protected] both trd are approved by Admin, however, till date the payment has not been released. KIndly let me know the reason why my payment is not given back I have continously writing to TDR department on regular baisis but no reply from their side. Kindly let me the the excact position. PNR NO is [protected] and [protected] tickets of 3AC the train no 3049 was cancelled.

                          I filled a complaint on railway website Complaint no GAX[protected] on 15 July 09 received a mail from Group General Manager.IT.Corporate that Dear Mr Harvinder Singh, Your case has been forwarded to the department concerned and you will receive a mail regarding the status of the refund.Thank you.
                          However, till today no mails no calls no refund of payment has been done.

                            I had booked 4 tickets from NewDelhi- Chennai Central in Rajdhani Express travel date 10th May'13 but unfortunately only 1 ticket got confirmed in RAC after chart preparation and other 3 were in waitlist out of 4 due to that all 4 passengers could not travel as it was a long journey and we had 2 old couple out of which 1 was sick.
                            I had filed TDR for that on the same date before train departure but inspite of so many calls to customer care and mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in,there were no response.
                            And now when i checked TDR status online through IRCTC,it is showing message like "As per Amendment in Refund Rules , No Refund is applicable in your case. "though new refund rule should be applicable to the booked tickets after 1st july not in mine case as it was filed 2 months back.and as per the old rule,wait-listed ticket made through online should get automatically cancelled and amount should get refunded.

                            Hi

                            I have booked the Railway ticket @ irctc.co.in on[protected]. The total cost of the ticket is Rs 5400.00 (3 AC) - 4 Passengers. It was a wait listed ticket and after the chart perparation only 1 passenger was confirmed and rest were all waitlisted.

                            We cancelled our travelling plan and filed the TDR online.

                            After one month the status shows

                              Sir, I must be joined my job on Sunday 30 June 13 at Coimbatore, Tamilnadu so, i was booking a tatkal e ticket by my computer train no 12511RAPTI SAGAR exp for 28 june from gorakhpur to coimbatore. when i have filled all options then seats available 16 in AC 3 TIER but payment options don't shown to me SBI ATM cum debit card which i holder. I search very carefully but there all banks ATM cards were showing but these card option not shown. therefore i can't pay for ticket and not book my ticket what can i do. few months ago i have booked e tickets for my SBI ATM cum debit card and travel. but today not. so i want to know whose responsible for this. because i shall not reach Sunday my officer take disciplinary action above me. what can i do for this. whose responsible for this me or IRCTC. if IRCTC responsible for this take necessary action for this matter. in future nobody face this type of problem

                              E Ticket — Site not opening and ticket booked in Tatkal

                              As per Railway rule we can book Tatkal ticket before five days and IRCTC timing for booking ticket from 5:30 to 23:30, today I am trying to open site since 5:30 still ticket booking site www.irctc.co.in is not openiong, and when I am checking the seat availibility on site then now only 139 available out of 220.how the reservation done ?
                              I am also taking help to my other friend to different location to open that site, they confirm me that site is not opening . What is going on, please dont make fool to AAM Admi .

                              SBI — Booking of Ticket

                              I booked my ticket on 22nd April, 09 and when it came to make payments I choose SBI ATM cum Debit card option. after clicking on make payment option, site broken. It debited Rs. 1177/ from my account and did not booked ticket.

                              It causes lots of trauma and pain to me and inconveinece to avial the services from bank.

                              IRCTC — tatkal not available

                              IRCTC has given online Ticket booking facility to the users.However,whenever you try to book Tatkal ticket at 8AM in morning,it will throw an error "Service unavilable".You will experience the same till 9.30 and after that IRCTC server will be up when NO TATKAL tickets are available.
                              It is just the way to earn money illeagaly by agents and I am sure it is not possible without help of IRCTC employees.

                              I think,we people need to take strong action against this.Becoz Govt is not going to any thing.They are happy in earning this type of money.

                              IRCTC — Not Available For TATKAL

                              I want to say this with very bad feel that all most all the govt. services are like this " NOT AVAILABLE WHEN REQUIRED ".

                              Today 30-Mar-2011, I tried to book a tatkal ticket from Pune to Bhopal and i came to my office @ 7:30 to have a 6 MBPS speed connection so that there are no speed issues.

                              When I tried to login to $$%^$@ IRCTC website, I got a User Friendly message " SERVICE UNAVAILABLE" which is obvious as the site govern by the govt. and till 8:23, I am continously getting that %^#%$ user friendly message.

                              I don't know when they are not able to handle limited group o[censored]sers how they will think of handling the increasing users of the country.

                              This is a service website and putting good UI , some AJAX, and catchy ICONS will not work IRCTC.It should be planned according to the load of the users or the website should be stopped and closed.

                              IRCTC is a major supporter of agents and now i will have to pay 300 extra or will have to go in waiting and hanging here and there in the train because for me it is URGENT to go.

                                Hi,

                                I was booking the ticket through net banking but I got error message that request has been cancelled. But I see that ticket amount was been deducted from my bank account . How come the ticket has been booked and amount got deducted?

                                When I got the error message ( screen shot attached) I dropped my husband a email saying that to book 2 tickets as there were few tickets.

                                I did a inquiry with the IRCTC customer care about the refund of the ticket which was booked due to error.. by cancelling the ticket but they refused to do so & they deducted the amount for cancellation.
                                When I requested to refund the losses they refused & asked to approach the court.

                                Request you to consider my case & ask them to refund the loss which was deducted by the cancellation of the ticket.

                                I am getting several messages in my mobile[protected] from ICICI bank .Today i got it again like-> " Your Total Avbl Bal for AC XXXXXX000191 is INR 691.01 as on[protected] ".
                                Actually i have no account in ICICI bank,till i m getting these messages.
                                So plz verify it.

                                IRCTC — Refund of booked ticket

                                I have booked two ticked for the train HUSSAIN SAGAR EXP- Train no 2702, from BAGAMPET to DADAR, the date of journey was[protected], CLASS-2A. PNR no [protected]. At the time of booking ticket status was waiting list; on the date of journey ticket one of the ticket was confirmed to RAC, and another was WATING LIST 1, so i have not boarded in the train.

                                When i had made a call to customer care centre of IRCTC for the refund of money, i got the answer that "once you put an email to [protected]@irctc.co.in your money will be refund within two days. so i had put an email but till money was not refunded to my account. Again several times i made call to customer care centre, i got reply that there is time limit for refund of money.
                                Booked tatkal ticket on line for 6 persons from MADGOAN to Trivandrum on 17.9.2010 on Train No. 2998. I have given SBI credit card particulars for on line payment. After that a message appeared on the screen giving site for redirect and complaints. No further information is available. Kindly confirm the position urgently.

                                  IRCTC COMPLAINT REGARDING TDR REFUND AMOUNT

                                  I CANCELLED MY TICKET BEARING PNR -[protected] (MANGALORE TO MUMBAI) COSTING RS 1230 ON 17 JUNE 2013 BECAUSE THE TRAIN WAS LATE FOR MORE THAN 6 HOURS. AS PER THE RULES OF RAILWAYS 100% AMOUNT OF THE TICKET SHOULD BE REFUNDED.BUT IRCTC REFUNDED ONLY 50% i.e RS 615.

                                  IRCTC — Refunding of TDR amount

                                  Dear Sir,
                                  I have booked a ticket on 8-9-2008 from Jammu Tawi to Amritsar PNR No. [protected]
                                  The Train Late More Than Three Hours so i am file a TDR on[protected] for the refund of ticket amount which is approved by the admin.
                                  The TDR status shown to me is:
                                  TDR Status : Admin Approved
                                  Reference No : ekt[protected]
                                  TDR Filing Date : 30-Oct-2008
                                  Refund Status : Refund under Process
                                  Refund Date : Not Available
                                  Refund Amount : Rs.0.00

                                  It takes more than 6 months but i am not recieved my payment yet.
                                  Please look at this matter.
                                  This has been really ahorrible experience with the IRCTC as I am yet to received my refund towards the TDR request which is filed on 04the may 2009.These guyes even are not replying to my mails and updating me of any progress. I am really disapoointed of this horrible customer serivce.

                                  Can anyone help me out as I am crying in wilderness and no help from this (irctc).

                                  IRCTC — Regarding TDR Refund

                                  Dear Admin,

                                  I booked a e-ticket and I have cancelled the ticket on the date of journey as Train was late more than three hou
                                  rs and I have not travelled, I filed TDR for the refund of my Fare.
                                  It has been 15 days over and still the refund is not done. The status is still showing as "Forwarded To Railway". I have furnished the details of TDR filing below.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I was booking a ticked from Bhopal to Ahmedabad dated 22 June 2013 by IRCTC but amount of Rs. 311 deducted from my bank account and ticket not booked.

                                    Please inform me, this amount will return or not and when it will return ? If it will not return then what should i do.
