    Despite several mails to IRCTC, telephones at Phone no[protected] ACM CLAIMS, JAIPUR) on 28.06.2011, 29.06.2011, 30.06.2011, 08.08.2011, 23.08.2011 I am unable to receive the refund of fare of the ticket booked in Ajmer Shatabadi from Delhi to Jaipur Journey dated 17.03.2011 and TDR filed on 22.03.2011, Please Let me know my fault and please let me know whether there is any time limit for the refund of fare from the date of filing of TDR.

    I have recevied following mail from IRCTC on 06.09.2011 mentioning
    Dear Customer, Sorry for the inconvenience.Kindly note that your refund case of PNR No.[protected] has been forwarded to CCM/NWR Railway on 04-Apr-2011 .We have already issued Reminders on 01-Jul-2011 and 06-Aug-2011 to concerned railway to chase up the case.But despite reminders refund is yet to be received from the concerned railway.Now we have sent another reminder on 6-September-2011 with all the papers pertaining to your refund case to concerned railway to chase up the cases. As soon as refund, if any, received it will be credited to your card account.

        I am a regular traveler.I book my train tickets through IRCTC.I have been doing this from past couple of years.I had my travel on[protected] from Shoranur-Kerala to Bangalore-Yeshwanthpur by Train #16528 Yeshwanthpur Express.I had booked in 2Tier A/C which costed me Rs.750/-I was surprised to see that my PNR had no validity.Then the ticket collecter/TC advised me to check my PNR on my cellphone.When I checked, it was valid and all details mentioned on my e-ticket was perfect. Coach A1-Berth 32.I showed this to the TC.It was so shocking.The same berth was alloted to a different age old lady passenger whose PNR had a match in TC 's list.I was so helpless at that moment.I had to pay a penalty and travel in the second class.Kindly advise me on this.

          For sl no 2 and 3 , it was WAIT LIST 1 and 2 .
          Iam supposed to get REFUND automatically for 2 and 3 . But I have not received REFUND.
          Please do the needful.

            Irctc payment option
            We have irctc done card license with us. You have kept the transaction of yours and that we don’t want. Because done card service charge (1. 8 %) when we have purchase your card, information was there that no compulsory is there to use payment option on done card only.

            We had called to irctc and told that we want another payment option but irctc told that this payment option has taken by only done card.

              Its proud to have the online ticket booking services in our country in this era of technolgy.

              On last 22-Aug-2011 during my E-ticktet booking with IRCTC in Porbandar-Howrah Express , from Porbandar to Ahmedabad,i have online booked 4 tickets after checking the convinient times of train ( 06:20 DEP from Porbandar and 15:15 ARV at Ahmedabad).

              I was clearly debited the sum of 758 Rs. and also alloted the E-Ticket. But when i reach the station at morning 06:20 on my journey date ( i.e. 24-Aug-2011) i was asked that the there is no any train on this time. Porbandar-Howrah will depart from porbandar today but at 15:30. Also i was shouted upon and asked to call before booking the E-tickets.

              I had 2 senior citizens and a 2 years old child for whom it was trouble getting the other mode of transportation in festival seasion. Also one of the member booked in the ticket had to travel by bus with no seat due to emergency work.

              This is really not fair. Even as on date if you open up the IRCTC website, its showing the wrong times and displays 06:20 DEP from porbandar for Porbandar-Howrah express and even on E-ticket , i got he same time which is the proof with me.

              Need strong actions on such non sense things.

              It does not make me feel any proud considering what THEY offering us for what we are paying to THEM.

              IRCTC — IRCTC website has wrong information

              I have an issue that happened with Indian Railways (IR) last week and I wanted your advice on how to proceed on this issue.

              1. I had a confirmed ticket in a train which starts from Yashwantpur going to Palghat in train 6527 which departs at 8PM from Yashwantpur.

              2. As per the online website of Indian railways, the scheduled stop also includes Banaswadi where as per the website it was 9PM.

              3. Yesterday morning I had called 139 also and they reconfirmed that there is a scheduled stop and I can board the train from banaswadi.

              4. As that stop was convenient for me, I decided to take the train from Banaswadi.

              5. This evening when I reached the station at 8.30PM, I was told by the duty station master that the train does not stop in this station.

              6. The station master confirmed that he is aware of this issue and said that it is the railway HQ that has erred.

              7. In spite of requesting him to stop the train for the scheduled one minute, he disallowed our request saying that is not possible.

              My grandmother had passed away last week and I was going there to perform the last rites & due to this negligence of IR, i had to undergo trauma and mental agony. Now, I would want to take up this matter legally mainly to stop IR from providing such wrong information to the passengers and spoiling the country’s image. What do you recommend that I do?

              sir the information provided by irctc/indian railway esquire is not updated as per the actual information.
              today at around 9.15 am when i asked about train no.12810(mumbai mail) it showed to be arrived at 10.31 am.

              this status remained till 10.10am.

              but when i reached the station at around 9.50 am there it was already showing that the train is late by 9.30hrs & will arrive at around 11.40.
              not only this even i had inquired at 139.
              it also told that the train will arrive at 10.31 am.
              sir the website is showing that it is updated regularly but actually it is providing the wrong information.
              sir due this wrong information i had to unnecessary wait in the station for 2 hrs.

              but by right to information i should always be provided correct information.
              sir i request you to take action against the authority so that in future it can be avoided.
              We had no option left except for waiting 9 hours to catch the train and these all due to
              IRCTC making such a stupid mistakes and no one is made responsibel or blaimed for any kind of
              mistakes in Indian Government. We except that it could be late in arrival and departure of trains operating in india with such a large network and huge population, however they atlease can provide the right
              informations to the customers. This is our right to get good services from governmnet as we are paying the handsome amount of money in form of TAXes.
              Train12071 AsperHelpline 139train was to depart at 15:35on 23Aug2011. I had rechecked the information on website. I reached CST and was shocked to find that the train had gone in time. I missed the train and had to rebook a ticket as I had to reach Aurangabad on same day on official duty. I went through lot of mental agony, stress. It cost me money, time and along with all luggage had to run from pillar to post for rebooking my ticket. I had to go thro’a lot of ordeal for making the most genuine complaint to the Station Master who was unavailable in office. AnotherOfficial not concerned with the complaint had the audacity to ask me if I had recorded the message. I never imagined that Railways Computer Automated systems are so badly managed. Does any body in the Railway bother about this? In my case I seek full Refund of money Rs.440 PNR [protected] +amount paid for the next train Rs.650 ascompensation by 9th September 2011 failing which I will be forced to escalate my compliant to other Consumer Forums

                  As per requirement we have sent letter of bank stating that amount was not received in this account with ID proof to IRCTC.

                  I Rakesh Kumar Gupta putting a complain against irctc regarding refund of cancelled ticket. I have booked a e-ticket on 26 Dec 12 with PNR No. [protected] and Tx ID [protected] in Train no. 56701 to travel from Trivandrum to Madurai on 28 Dec 12.Ticket was made for four seats with all waiting list.On travelling date(28 Dec 12), out of four wait listed seats only one became RAC. Looking at the constraints I cancelled the ticket before arrival of the train.Ticket has been cancelled but the refund amount I did not got till date. Whenever I check the status of refund, it shows "refund under progress".

The ticket charge showing on cancelled ticket is Rs910.00 excluding service charge- Rs 44.94. But I am refunded Rs 875.00 in place of Rs910.00. If any reason then pl explain otherwise pl refund the difference of amount(910-875=35).

                      My name is V.SRIDHARAN.. I have booked TWO tickets through irctc online booking on[protected] for a journey from TIRUCHIRAPALLI Jn. to MAMBALAM (CHENNAI) for journey on on[protected]. I used SBI net Bankingb) for making payment. A total of Rs 280+Rs 10/ was deducted from my account but no PNR and e-ticket generated.. Transaction reference03799759 IG63230775. Hoever for the return journeyon 080911 the transaction wassuccesful and PNR & ticket delivered.
                      Kindly arrange to refund the amount for the vundelivered tkt and credit the same to my A/c with SBI HEK Trichy.Solicit your immediate action

                        I recently updated my IRCTC profile (Login: pranil_k) as I saw a message while booking a new train ticket that some of the details in my profile were missing. After that I received new password through email and also I was supposed to receive mobile verification code on registered mobile no [protected]. However I have not received mobile verification code after several times sending mails to [protected]@irctc.co.in as well as calling them several times. Without mobile verification code I can not use my IRCTC profile at all.

                        Could you pls help me get my mobile verification code?

                          i have cancilled three ticket vide pnr no[protected] on 10/05/09 for rs 836, pnr no [protected] on 08/0/509 of rs 1167 and pnr no [protected] through my wife's debit card no [protected] agst s.b a/c no[protected] o[censored]nited bank of india, b.e.college road howrah branch, but no money has been credited to my account till date.I hace twice visited the bank personally but it make no result. I donot know wat to do now, is this mechanisam of irctc is so bogus.

                          I tried to book an e-ticket on 16th June for date of journey 18th June in train number 4554 in tatkal quota from Una to Delhi. I tried twice but the ticket booking showed error and said that the money debited from your account will be credited to you. The amount debited was Rs2516 and after the transaction I was left with Rs4189 in my account number[protected], Divpreet Singh. On the next day, 17th June, I was debited the same amount Rs 2516 and then credited back. But the originally debited amount was never credited back to me. I registered my complaint with IRCTC help desk too but I have been getting no response at all. I have even showed them the screenshot of my bank statement which shows the following three transactions taking place between 16th June to the time of screenshot.

                            Nowadays If tickets moved to RAC, it is not getting confirmed in Yercaud Express(Chennai-Erode).Is the seat allocation is happening properly.The cancellation ratio becomes very less nowadays.Even waiting list tickets around 80 or 70 when booked before 1 months is not getting confirmed. Only sitting is allocated in Sleeper Coaches.Why we have to travel in sitting when paid for berth to sleep?.IRCTC is in hands of touts, agents with the help of corrupted irctc employees.The newspapers published about the irctc corruption,eventhough the government is not taking necessary steps.

                            On Aug10,2011 the IRCTC is not opened at all for more than 20 mins.For any festival bookings, this is become common. After that every tickets got booked.What is really happening in IRCTC?

                              I had booked an I-Ticket on IRCTC website on 11th Aug for journey date 16th Aug. Today is 15th Aug and I have still not received my railway ticket for my journey scheduled for tomorrow morning.
                              I called IRCTC 24x7 customer service twice. The first time they provided me the Overnite Express courier contact number to track my ticket. The number provided is switched off since 13th Aug. The second time I spoke with IRCTC 24x7 helpline, they said their system is down so they cannot help. Today I am trying to call them, no one is answering their 24x7 help line or any other customer service number provided in their website. I have to travel tomorrow and i dont have my ticket yet.

                              I am having few concerns regarding IRCTC site, which are as follows:

                              1) I tried to book my online ticket ticket in TATKAL but i observed that the station names are not listing when we provide the station names ("From*" and "To*") and it happens always not a single time .
                              2) I tried to book ticket through "Quick book" but it display a message that "Quick book is not allowed between 12:30 AM to 10:00 AM."
                              3) Also, if we tried to book the ticket in day time after 10 O'clock the speed of Sign-in and processing is too slow, although I am using broad band service with excellent speed.
                              4) If we want to book the ticket then we have to contact to traveler agencies which are charging extra too much amount.

                                this site if Railway is not giving proper service for urgent booking call Tatkaal booking sewa thru internet which start on every morning 8.00 am is not giving to Indian people. WHY WE THE INDIAN PEOPLE IS ALWAYS HAVE TO SUFFER LIKE THAT. WHY THE THIS SITE HACKER AND AGENT IS NOT BEHIND THE STEEL RODS. NO BUDDY WILL TAKE RESPONSE OF THIS EVEN AFTER THIS COMPLAINT ALSO THERE WILL BE NO CHANGE IN SERVICE.

                                I WILL PRAY TO GOD FOR MY NEXT BIRTH IN GOOD COUNTRY. KUCH TO ACHA KAAM KARO DO VERY GOOD FOR INDIAN PEOPLE BECAUSE EVERY BUDDY HAVE TO LEAVE THIS PLACE..

                                IRCTC — Service not proper

                                Dear Sir/ Mam,

                                We are unable to book the Railway tickets in Tatkal and some time in general quota also as the Server of IRCTC is down and not replies properly.

                                During 8:00AM to 9:00AM we are not able to log in or if logged in then booking the ticket is difficult.

                                Some action must be taken against this

                                  Dear Sir/Madam ,

                                  I was trying to book a ticket for my parents from Bangalore to Howrah ,by Duronto express . While making payments ,IRCTC payment gateway page expired and I could not get my ticket . However the fare amount was debitted from my citi card .When I called Citi they gave me transactionapproval code (067964) and asked me to speak with IRCTC.

                                  Both the numbers provided by you are useless .The Chenai number[protected] rings and then someone picks it up and hangs up the same ,where as Delhi number[protected] is a number not in use any more /invalid number .

                                  Please let me know whom do I contact regarding this and what would be the contact numbers . Also kindly remove this false information (help line numbers) from your site .

                                  as for IRTC, if they really don't respond, contact Citi for a "chargeback" if your ticket is not delivered to you.

                                  I will try out IR site as suggested, menawhile I have spoken to CITI, but they say that they have already received a transaction ID (they provided me the same ) now I need to contact some one from wither IRCTC or Indian Railways may be .

                                  In case if you know a number which can help me, you may kindly provide me .

                                    I have booked the AC ticket in Brindavan Express on June 5th for the travel on July 6th.
                                    AS the passenger has not traveled, i immediately raised a TDR for the same on 6th July. Till date the amount hasnt been refunded. I don't know what the hell they have been doing these many days..I sincerely request to take an immediate action against this.

                                    This is regarding the amount which has not been refunded by irctc. I was doing booking for a train from baroda to mathura on 4/01/2012, due to some error in the server the booking was not done and amount was deducted from account. I had used my friend's Rahul Sharma's Axis Bank debit card to book the ticket. On 7th i received a mail from irctc that amount has been refunded to the account bur till date no amount has beed credited to axix bank account by irctc. My friend asked axis bank regarding the same they told him that they have not received any confirmation regarding the refund by irctc hence they have not credited the amount. Since 7th i am mailing to the customer care of irctc but they are not replying me back and also not receiving any phone calls.

                                    Please do the needful i want my amount to be refunded.

                                    Hi My amount has not credited into my account as we have not travelled through Rajdhani Express from New Delhi to Dhanbad as we had 3 tickets booked but only one ticket got confirmed hence we have cancelled our journey on 07/03/2012.                                     Against my TDR request no - less amount have been refunded. Entire Rs.1455.00 should have been refunded but only Rs.480.00 has been refunded.

                                    According to the new TDR rules 100% of the amount had to be refunded as the train was late by more than 3 hours and passenger has not traveled. The train was late by more than 3 hours that day.

                                        on 01.08.2011, i tried to book a ticket from Mumbai to Patna through my user id 'dcdcdeepak' but ticket is not booked due to session expire during transaction proceed. i tried three times and result occur same but Amount of Rs. 479/- is debited three times from my axisbank account. In my user id only one transaction refund due to booked failed is shown by transaction id [protected]. My two another transaction of Rs 479/- are not shown. what can i do for refund ?

                                        I tried booking a ticket from delhi to raipur through IRCTC on 14th october. I tried 1 time but the transaction was not processed at all due to server issues. Unfortunately, the amount has been debited once into my debit card account. Is there any escalation procedure by which I can get my refund back? I have the debit card statement that shows the amount debited and I have the booked ticket list which doesn't show these transactions. I dont think we could reach people on customer care on IRCTC. So far I have made calls to those numbers but I am unable to reach them. whats the fastest way to get the refund back? Suggestions/previous experience would be really helpful.
