IRCTC is not providing full services for E tickets that are available Ticket booking at Counters.
The following service shall be incorporated for E ticket booking
(1) Break Journey
(2) Change of boarding station for booked tickets
(3) Temporary (may be 30 min) credit fund o[censored]ser @ IRCTC for cancelled E tickets for booking another ticket in case of change of journey plan.
(4) Postponement of Journey date.

The highest authority may please look into the matter

    Mobile Verification Code NOT Received

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I am a Shubhyatra member.

    The website is not sending mobile verification code on my mobile. And, therefore I am not able to log-in into the IRCTC website.

    Kindly check and resolve as soon as possible, as I have to take printouts of my booked tickets and make another online booking.

    I am a shubh yatra card holder. The IRCTC online booking site is asking for mobile verification to make reservation, but it doesn't send verification code on my mobile number.

    I want to take printout of my previously booked tickets and book new one, which I am currently unable to do.

    Please see to this and take appropriate action as quick as possible.

    Dear sir,

    i was registered at irctc online reservation website.
    i was recieved user ID and password but they did't send the mobile verification
    code so i was request pls. send the mobile verif. code ASAP. my user id is vedance_k and my mail id is [protected]@rediffmail.com

    I change our mobile number and then my password re-set automatically. When I fill this password in irctc login then it shows your mobile number is not verified, for verification CLICK HERE TO RE-SEND MOBILE VERIFICATION CODE and then i do the same thing. But I can't receive the code till the time. My mobile No. is [protected]

        from SBC to KCG 14/06/09 Train No: 2786 . After entering the details of the two passengers, I made the payment using HDFC online. After making the payment I got the message that the session is expired.

        IRCTC — Refund of failed transaction due to server error or website error

        Dear sir/ madam,
        yesterday on 31/08/09 I was trying to book a ticket through IRCTC's website from Nizamuddin to Bandra,

        Booking details:-

        Pnr Number : 0 Transaction ID:: [protected]
        Train No: 2910 Train Name: BDTS GARIB RATH
        Around 11:00 am

        The transaction was done through SBI atm cum debit card. Everything went ok and after entering card no. and all the details the website showed some error and could not complete the transaction and no ticket booked. I repeated the same process and I got the ticket. But when I checked my bank account the cost of ticket Rs. 582/- was debited from my account.

        I got no mail for this mistake from IRCTC when I checked the failed transaction section on the website it was saying Payment Not Received From Bank then where did the exact amount of money went from my account. After all this I when I mailed customer care I got no reply from them.. Is this the kind of services IRCTC is providing to it's customers? It is a sheer negligence on part of IRCTC. I'm not the only one I read complaints of many people who faced such situation. IRCTC should take full responsibility for such carelessness and take proactive steps towards amending the weaknesses in their system.

        If it continued people will lose trust from this website.

        Please help me to get the refund of the money debited from my account.

        hello.this is kundan from kolkata, i was booking the ticket from irctc online but what happened they didnot issue any ticket but they deducted the amount of Rs.167 and whenver i am calling them they are not picking up the phone in the customer service number and i am really very worried about my money as i am earning these money by working very hard...
        so please take some action against this and refund my money

        On talking to help-line of Indian Railway, we came to know that the refund for this E-ticket will receive to your citibank account automatically, as was paid thorugh CItibank credit card.

        As we had planned our family tour to Darjiling, we had to travel and as no room available in other trains, we had to trvelled by flight. We had to incurred more expenditures due to cancellation of this train.

        We were expecting this refund to be received to our citibank credit card account, But yet not received.

        Pl. appreciate realistic matter.

        I booked four tickets from secunderabad to eluru on 07/01/2010 ON THE INTERNET through the irctc bering my user name and password but the transaction failed due to system fault at the IRCTC website. The amount of money amounting to Rs. 797/- was, however, debited to my Andhra Bank card Their Failed transaction ID is [protected] dated 07/01/2010

        On sending email to IRCTC they advised having sent the instructions to Andhra Bank for refund of the amount vide receipt number 140108 . But the refund amount has not yet been credited to my account despite repeated reminders to IRCTC as well as to Andhra Bank . I have also been debited a sum of Rs. 20/- on account of Railway transaction fee. Kindly help me to get refund of Rs. 797/-+20/- .

        I have booked a ticket from salem jn to warangal on sunday, for some reasons the transaction has failed and the money has been deducted form my account..
        after mailing to the IRCTC authorities, they immediately reacted on the second day and i got a mail that the money has been settled(debited back in my account).When i checked my account the money was not debited.I paid the money through GATEWAY2 CITIBANK---other debit/credit cards.

        Help me out.I have been tired of mailing to the irctc authorities.

        I booked 4 tickets of HOWRAH DURONTO dated 19th sept, but I ended up with failed transaction. I can see the amount Rs. 7190 withdrawn from my bank account. When I checked under FAILED PAYMENT REFUND STATUS, I was shocked to see other failed transactions and pay status as "Settlement Failed".
        I can see the total failed transaction amount to be around Rs 10000. I am doubting now that IRCTC is a safe option to book ticket.

        I have an IRCTC account which is locked second time.
        When i tried to reset the password through forget password link, it asks User id, question and Answer. I provided all the details and it throws an error "Answer is Incorrect". This happend second time and both the times i tried to login through the actual password.
        I waited for a week and there was no response from IRCTC customer care. I called them up on 24 Hrs. Customer Support at[protected] and it took about 12 calls to make them understand about the issue. When ever i called up the customer support the person attnding the call will redirect me to someone else after listening to my detail and again i need to explain whole story, inshort that was waste of time and money.
        I sent an email at [protected]@irctc.co.in also submit at http://www.consumercourt.in/railways/14030-irctc-login.html and got an automated email as Ticket Confirmation for the request.
        IRCTC should hire service and satisfaction oriented support executives so that it a common man has no pain of wasting time and money.

        hallo sir, I first time opened an account in irctc and tried to book a ticket fm hatia to cuttack on 18/10/2012.after filling every required information, when i pressed payment option, processing for payment continued and n continued. more than 45 minutes passed but nothing happened. accidentally my dongle was unplugged and net. connection was cut. after 10 minutes i again opened the site and got a transaction id no.             On 9/7/2010 myself and my daughter purchased e-ticket from IRCTC agent Shri. Naveen Rao (email id - [protected]@rediffmail.com , agent id- itzc0847) to travel from yeshwantpur to daddar by 1018 Chalukya Express , PNR number being- [protected].
            In view of not carrying the ID card, the TTE has cancelled and endorsed the tickets. The agent has requested for refund on 19/7/2010. I have sent complaint by registered post number 1151660 dated 8/6/2011 to your Corporate Office, New Delhi. On 6/6/2011 an email complaint has been lodged in your website.
            I have not recieved any response/refund so far. Please expedite refund as otherwise i will be forced to take legal action/approaching Consumer Forum.

              IRCTC FRAUDS Public by completing the bookings for agents at 8:00 AM

              for Diwali bookings tickets get sold out in just 6 minutes (Pune to NGP) all categories 2AC, 3AC,sleeper

              its around 3500 ticket sold in 6 minutes

              If you are standing at counter for your turn to come and not the lucky one to that is in first 2 in the front.
              You will get waiting ticket of around waiting number 100+

              IRCTS is doing such frods from years and no one dare to take action against it.

              find the IRCTC site performance and use it around 8:00 AM for seasonal bookings , you will get it

              and after such efforts I got waiting ticket

                I really don't understand whether I really get my refund or not....


                Take this issue seriously.
                I already once faced same situation I don't know what is the problem with the railway department to keep the logined user for atleast 2 minutes inside their site...
                It is really disgusting...
                I strongly need my refund immediately..
                The number that has been given as 24*7 is not at all responding but attending the call with recorded voice to cut the money.
                It is really irritating I tried almost 4 times nobody is answering the call.....
                IRCTC is doing totally hell for their customers.....

                My train got cancelled (Train No : 2416 on date[protected], and then i cancelled my ticket from H NIZAMUDDIN railway station, and submitted the copy given to me with ticket certificate number 24816945 to Chief Commercial Manager (Refunds), Station Building, New Delhi on[protected].

                  Hi,

                  This a total nonsense giving only 25% flat refund for cancelling the tatkal ticket.. I have booked a ticket (tatkal) - Rs.708/- and then i had to cancel for which they will refund me only Rs.120/-.. This looks like cheating/looting a person... Why should railway hold such kind of policy to loot a common man
                  Well, it seems as if it happened in total unawareness. IRCTC has a set of rules of refund amount after cancellation of tickets of different class and quota. You should have gone through these rules before making tatkal tickets. Rule is: if you cancel your confirm tatkal ticket 24 hrs before the schedule departure of the train then you will get a refund of 25% of base fare else ZERO refund. These rules may have been implemented to restricting the people for booking unnecessary tatkal tickets.

                      Subject: Poor quality of food & extremely dirty pantry car.
                      Ref: My complain at Dt.17.07.11 of Satyam Caterers, on train Duranto train (12284)from H.Nizamudin to Ernakulum.

                      Sir,
                      I was travelling in the said train H.Nizamudin to ERS in AC-IIl, at about 44.50hrs I have order one veg meals, at dinner. However the quality of food as well as serving tray is quite poor.. Other item was a dal fry ( as per their menu) which is also not good its very poor & very poor smell come out from it, pickle satchel, (not tear able), & one salt pouch which become wet due to wetness in tray. He also did not provide the water pouch. The whole food was worth less This is the story of quality food which is proud service of IRCTC (as I have seen in posters & logos & in your standard menus).

                      Thus to lodge my protest I have asked the complaint book from the waiter/service boy but he told me, if you desire complaint book then go to the pantry car. I could not understand, when irctc are making such a tall claim about their finest cuisine, quality, clean lines then where it exist. It was total unhygienic condition not only in & around pantry but also the utensils are also very unhygienic & in shabby condition. It seems there was no body every checked their pantry car for months or years together. It also proves that there is no monitoring system exists in the whole system or at least in that train. If a passenger travelling in AC treated in this way how the other class, one can just imagine.

                      Sir, first I was questioned by the Quality Manager Mr.Rohit that what is the problem with food ( with some arrogance), since he has served about 200 meals without any complaint ( I thought none of them might have taken pain at this time). After Much reluctance he has given the complaint book as I have lodged my written complaint having number.292990, but I am very much doubtful about his attitude that any action may be taken on their part. This also proves my point that they are well aware of the system that no action will be initiated against them.

                      Sir, the passenger in the train are totally on the mercy of catering service & if such type of food served then only god can save us. I hope you will take not only suitable action, but also arrange to return the charges I have paid for worthless food along with compensation. It is also requested to conduct surprise raid on this particular train as early as possible since it seems that such callous attitude of caterers cannot be possible right under your supervision until & unless lower rung official have ignoring their duties. Kindly also confirm the price charged for above meal is correct or not.



                      Awaiting your action as well as reply in this regard, since I am contemplating the issue with my legal advisor for filing the case in consumer court.

                      I am travelling regularly by Rajdhani / Shatabdi / Duronto. IRCTC is taking good care & in should be appreciated deeply for serving thousands of passengers on daily basis.
                      For more improvement in catering, i have some suggestions:-

                      Veg Section : There is wastage of Food during serving. left over is huge, many passengers do not like paneer curry. All will prefer tasty mix seasonal vegetables. I request you to kindly stop sellling paneer & replace it with Beans/Carrot/Cabbage/Cauliflower etc. Please ban Dry Peas.

                      Non-Veg Section: High Majority of passengers are vegetarian, it hurts their sentiments during serving. It can be replaced with Egg Curry.

                      Breakfast: South Indian Items like Upma / Dosa / Poha is must. No Dry Peas.

                      High Tea: After Lunch, there is no need for High Tea, Tea/Coffee with biscuits are enough

                      By simple changes, Railway can save millions of rupees & it will keep passengers happy.

                      This is my suggestion as i would like to see the changes.

                          On Dt: 27/05/2010 the undersigned (Zia Ur Rahim) booked an E-Ticket for travel from Durg to Raigarh. Journey was planned on 31/05/2010 from 2905A (Okha Howrah Express). but the train was later more than 3 hours.

                          Due to urgency to reach the destination, the undersigned didnot travel from the same train and arrived Raigarh from some other way.

                            I had booked five railway tickets (pune to ernakulam dated 21st of June and return ticket on the 28th of June )through an agency named Broadview Travel Pvt Ltd, but when i boarded the train I found that someone else has tickets for the same birth.Later we learned that the agent had cancelled the ticket.Initally a person named Kishan (that is how he intoduced himself) said that he would refund the money now he is not responding to the calls.
                            Please assist me...

                              Till today I have not received any refund against this PNR

                              Please help me

                                  Hello Sir,

                                  I need your help for the refund of my money for the tatkal ticket I booked from Bhusawal to Pune. Firstly I reached to railway station of Bhusawal 3/4/2011 to catch the train as per the plan. And when I enquired about the train status I got to know that it was 8hrs late. It was seriously a pain for me to wait for that long and this late enabled me to miss my work related meeting scheduled next day at Pune. So I had to drop my plan to board the train and had to go to my relatives house becuase it wasn't possible for me to wait in the waiting room which was pathetically maintained with lots of mosquitos dying to suck my blood. It really felt me that trusting Indian Railways is no more an good option; instead if I would have travelled by sleeper bus I would have reached the destination in time and attended the meeting. Also I got to know that the train is late by 6-8 hrs on every day basis adding to my frustation. Why dont this railway corporation update the scheduled time of the train late by 8 hrs, it will really help the people getting frustated unnecessarily. I was strangled for almost 4 hrs unnecessarily only to take the decision not to board the train and skip my work.

                                  I filled TDR on 3/4/11 however within week IRCTC updated TDR status as "Forwarded to Railways", I was so happy at the prompt service. Perhaps soon it resulted into my disappointment as I couldn't see any changes in the status week by week. Now it has been 95 days and I dont have any update.

                                  I woud request you to help me refund my money ASAP.

                                    hi i m bikash jha from tiruvannamalai district which falls in tamilnadu state.
                                    at 6:30 i tried to book a train ticket in ganagasagar express (3185 train no.) from sealdah to darbhanga on 26/09/2011 for mr. p c jha but unable to know whether ticket is booket or not . but my a/c is debited. one error message came "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankrespon...

                                    please rectify that whether tickrt is booked or not if not booked please return the same amnt in my a/c. i will book again.

                                      I have booked railway ticket in the internet irtcc portal. the ticket is not booked. but my indian bank account Rs. 652 is deducted in my account. Ref.67659211 Dated 03/07/2011 time 18.24 indian bank. so many email to and phone there is no response. So take necessary action and refund the amount as an early thanking you.
