Limit on the number of tickets per month

IRCTC has a limit on the number of tickets that you can book per month, and that is 10. When people are paying for their tickets, I do not understand why anyone should limit the number of tickets to 10 per month.

Other issues with the website :
1. Service unavailable often - if your website is down, what should a consumer do if they want to cancel a ticket. Dont you think you should have a backup server, like so many...

Non refund of failed transaction amount

I have got reservation from irctc.co.in through internet. On scrutiny my pass book 08 times i.e. Rs. 503/- has been deducted on 14 and 16 April 2009. Similarly 05 times Rs. 10/- and 493/- has been deposited in my saving bank account. Reservation didn't go through, but amount on the credit card is blocked

My user id is mcf_hot. Yesterday (11/5/2009), I was trying to book a SL class ticket. I used my Citi bank credit card and reached to the stage where I clicked on 'Confirm Payment'. However, the next screen stated that 'Service Unavailable' and I was never able to print the e-ticket.

Unable to book online Tatkal ticket

When I try to book a Tatkal ticket from Dindigul to Chennai for the date of 17th May, I get an error message saying, "Booking not permitted. Try some other Train/Class". Continuous Failure while booking a ticket

Hi,

I was trying to book tickets for a journey from Nagpur to Bilaspur. I successfully achieved the same at IRCTC. However, whenever I was trying to book the return ticket, irrespective of the browser the transaction always failed. Refund not received till date

I have booked ticked in Jan 09 and i have cancelled the same ticket, i have not received the amount back and i did not receive any response from IRCTC ([protected]@irctc.co.in) even after writing mails three times.
It is gross unjustice to consumers' trust.

Service unavailable for online reservation

It always beeing observed that service will gone unavilable for online ticket booking from 8 AM to 9 PM when tatkal booking beeing start.
Due to this type of service, I loose my important work at my native place .IRCTC should provide us feedback on the matter....

Site getting hang and rarely get response

My complaint regarding www.irctc.co.in website. from last two days, it was very slow even we are not able to get home page of that site.i want to cancel my e-tickets but not able to do so. pls look into this issue. Session expired after making payment - No ticket booked -- bank account debited

Sir,
I faced a problem while booking a ticket now on irctc.co.in from Jamu Tawi(JAT) to Pune(PUNE) for 15th Apr 2009 in 1078 Jhelum Express.

After entering the details, I made the payment using SBI debit card. After making the payment I got the message that the session is expired.

I checked my SBI bank transactions and I can see a payment of 629/-. However when I see the list under "Booked Tickets"...

I tried an e-ticketing from web site : http://www.irctc.co.in/
I filled all information from my SBI debt card, and after confirmation of payment from my account when it was redirecting to IRCT's site again, the message appeared "SERVICE UNAVAILABLE".
