Please refund the amount which is pending from last 10 months !!!!

Dear IRCTC,
I have booked a ticket from Erode to Tirupati through irctc web site, after submitting my debit card details, with out generating ticket an amount of Rs.658.00 was debited from my bank account and the same was confirmed from my bank statement . From IRCTC web site TRANSACTION ID [protected] shows that settlement required.

After some time i have booked ticket from Erode to Tirupati and the ticket was generated with transaction id [protected] with PNR no:[protected] after debiting Rs.658+10.

I request you to kindly look in to the matter and process the refund for which ticket is not generated as early as possible.

    Hello,
    i have booked e ticket for manmad to bidar on 30th of dec 2009 and again on the same route on 31st of dec,
    i got a confirmed ticket from varanasi to manmad but while making a ticket from manmad to bidar after the payment is done through S.B.I debit card i was given a redirect link and the ticket has not been confirmed to me.This same thing happen again on 31st dec while i tried to book a ticket through my brother S.B.I debit card.

    This is really an undesired situation and IRCTC is expected to help me at the earliest with the ticket if the payment is already confirmed at their end. If not refund the same amount.

    Dear sir
    I have booked e ticket on 31.12.09 Trans id [protected] (pnbe to dgr) another e ticket (DGR to PNBE) on same date total amount Rs 692x2=1384.
    Next day on 01 01 2010 I have cancelled e ticket Trans id [protected](PNBE TO DGR) and booked ticket for date[protected]pnbe to dgr).
    AS a rusult from my account 692x5=3460 deducted. Please look at the matter in
    sympathitically .

      Dear Sir,

      This is to inform you as No any PNR status shown when train was getting departure from the station As I had booked my reservation & that was waiting that time but when I reached at the station still its status was not cleared, Then I confirmed through my mobile on 139 of railway care after then I was said to booked another ticket so that I can travel so I have to booked another ticket. Not only from me there are third person who was confirming the e ticket. when he told that it is still in waiting . If my ticket was confirmed then I am asking to send me my confirm status but they are not interested to respond. pls. suggest..

      This is in reference to the TDR file on 17th feb, 2010.
      the TDR Ref No.are ekt [protected] & ekt [protected]
      the refund sought for PNR NOs-[protected] & [protected] vide the refered TDR is still awaited.
      even after the period of three and half months the refund has not been made which is very deplorable and disappointing considering the modern on line facilities available.

      the delay shows the lethargic attitude of railways towards its customers

      i once again request you to speed up the matter, failing which i will have no other option but to approach the relevant court of law i.e.consumer court.

      hopefully the matter is resolved at the earliest.

      Sir, Due to late arrival more than 6 hours, TDR was filed by the agent on 18.12.2010 (PNR No.[protected] and PNR No.[protected]) but no response / refund till date. My agent telephone No. is[protected]. It is requested that case is more than 90 days old please do the needful and refund the amount at the earliest.

        Dear Sir,

        Let me first congratulate irctc for giving such an excellent services. I am a frequent traveler in rail and for me your services are simply superb.

        Now coming to my complain. Sir the website is very slow from 08:00 AM to 08:30 AM ie at the time of Tatkal booking daily. Sir, sometime we need to book Tatkal ticket from irctc sites but till the time the site opens all tatkal quota is finished. Why ???

        ARE YOU TRYING TO HELP THE TRAVEL AGENTS, so that pubilic visits these travel agent and pay 200 to 300 Rs. extra for getting tatkal ticket.

        Please look into this matter so that the normal public using irctc are benifitted.

        Sir,
        This is a genuine complaint to be looked into by the Vigilance Section of Indian Railways as this is a malpractice that is thriving.
        I would suggest the concerned authorities to look into this matter with more seriousness. more people are depending upon on online booking. For tatkal booking, even the irctc home page is not opening. It opens after 8.30 am and making us to login by 8.45 and by that time all tatkal quota is finished. Increasing the IRCTC server numbers, server specifications would help people to book online tickets.

          No. [protected] has been forwarded to CCM/Northern Railway, New Delhi on
          dt. 15.05.09. We have already issued Reminder No. 1 & 2 on dt. 17.09.09
          & 10.11.09 to concerned railway to chase up the case. But despite
          reminder refund yet not received from the concerned railway. Now we are
          sending a Reminder No. 3 dt. 05.12.09 with all the papers pertaining to
          your refund case to concerned railway to chase up the cases. As soon as
          refund, if any, received it will be credited to your card account.

              As in last date of journey bookings were in 'waiting list' status, we cancelled the ticket and filed for TDR. After asking Customer care they said it might take max of 3 months. Its alomst 6 mont now and I am still in witing state!! and we do not know whom to approach, if not by Mr. A then who is A's boss?

                I have booked a railway ticket from Valliyur (VLY) to chennai egmore (ms) PNR NO. [protected] for Rs.377on 04/02/2011 I have checked today (06/02/2011) IRCTC has deducted twice of the fare from myhdfc bank netbanking ie RS 377.

                This is not the first time experiance with IRCTC. IRCTC is providing VERY poor service in online reservation along with catering. No idea why Indian Railaways still continuing with IRCTC.

                  Hi,
                  I bought a confirmed e-tkt for my mother from Abohar to Delhi on A.c chair car (pnr#[protected]

                  Initially it was wait list but two days before the journey it was confirmed..So she boarded the train but in the middle she was asked to leave the ac coach as TTE told her that seat is unconfirmed ..
                  She was sick she had to travel a journey of 7 hours without the comfort that she had paid for.


                  I had demanded a complete refund and a action against the guilty TTE ,to what it seems had sold the ticket to some one else to make money.

                    Since last 3 months I am accessing indian railway website , www.irctc.co.in for booking the tickets
                    It is the most pathetic website and you can not access the webpages properly
                    It can not handle the traffic after 8 AM and your payment gets debited after that it is very difficult to get the money back from these pathetic people

                    hi, since last 1 week i am looging on to www.irctc.co.in to book my tatkal ticket 2 days ahead of travel schedule from gurgaon, and i am experiencing that the website becomes extremely slow and does not respond hence at 8am all of a sudden while it is at its normal speed upto 8am and then after 8.40am or so turns to normalcy, i have a serious doubt that there is some intended dysfunctionality introduced for some malafied reasons to discourage online tatkal bookings to give better access to IPs hitting from special states, i want this to be cross checked and enquired into as it a gross disservice to people at large and the ministry has to answer this question owning the moral responsibility..irctc.co.in worked very well during the regime of mr lalu prasad yadav then why this derailment all of a sudden?...thanks..jeevan...[protected]

                      refund of failed transaction in irctc online booking :



                      i booked two tickets using mu SBI debit card from varanasi (MGS) to chennai egmore(MS) in GAYA express train no :2389 on 23.12.2009 .

                      After making the payment i got message session expired.I checked my sbi debit card bank transactions and I can see a payment of Rs 1063/- made. However when I see the list under "Booked Tickets" on the website, I dont see any reservation made. transaction id :([protected] and [protected] )

                      And another one is agra cant(AGC) to delhi (NZM) trans id:( [protected] ) amount Rs 295. (kerala express train no:2625.

                      refund of failed transaction in irctc online booking :



                      i booked two tickets using mu SBI debit card from varanasi (MGS) to chennai egmore(MS) in GAYA express train no :2389 on 23.12.2009 .

                      After making the payment i got message session expired.I checked my sbi debit card bank transactions and I can see a payment of Rs 1063/- made. However when I see the list under "Booked Tickets" on the website, I dont see any reservation made. transaction id :([protected] and [protected] )

                      And another one is agra cant(AGC) to delhi (NZM) trans id:( [protected] ) amount Rs 295. (kerala express train no:2625.

                      After making the payment i got message session expired.I checked my ACCOUNT transactions and I can see a payment of Rs 150/- made. However when I see the list under "Booked Tickets" on the website, I dont see any reservation made. transaction id :([protected] )

                        IRCTC — Wow what a fantastic service provider

                        sir,
                        i have booked tiket on 18th april & on 10th may, But amount is deducted 5 times .I am calling everyday to customer service & forwarded so... many mails but no action

                        this is to inform you that internet booking net is very slow and specialy in the morning and for tatkal tickets it never open the site till 8.20am and when the site opens then tatkal serveces shows full no room or closed it is like fooling people by keeping this net services for tatkal booking and one thing that the same day tatkal ticket booked through agents you get confirmed ticket. it is surprising for this act so is their a special quota for the on line agents please clerify

                        IRCTC — favouring ticket agents and blacks

                        Railway irctc offers online tickets, tatkal tickets open at 8.00 Hours, but the server intentionally turns to inaccessible after 8.00 AM, so an individual fails to book tatkal ticket in need, after 1 hour the server rectifies, but tatkal tickets are waitlisted, so it shows clear sign of partiality or injustice with common men and favouring blackers and ticket agents who charge large amount for tatkal tickets booking, So by taking proper action this kind of dirty bussiness should be stopped.                         IRCTC — VERY SLOW web site-unable to book

                        we were trying to book through IRCTC web site for the past 20 days and till 2PM the web site is very very very slow. we wrote a complaint to IRCTC through their website and we received a reply that was not convincing. .here is the reply that came

                        "Dear Customer,
                        We regret the inconvenience faced by you. The payment gateways do give problems sometimes; but most of the issues are due to connectivity/bandwidth problems rather than anything else. We at our end as well as the Banks and PGs are continuously making efforts to upgrade the infrastructure to cope with the increasing traffic. Today our site handles more than 250000 transactions daily worth. The bandwidths and associated infrastructure are simply not keeping up with this rapid growth. But definitely there are a lot of inputs going in towards improvements to the customer experience.

                        till today it is same problem. We tried to speak to the authorities concerened but phone is always engaged and some numbers are out of service.

                        I request the forum to take this complanit with the Railway Minister and we hope it will be rectified soon.

                        This is to inform you that the irctc website doen respond properly, I tried to book a ticket but after making payment it's not properly redirected leading towards the unsuccesful transaction. I tried using diffent bank option. Cunsulted with my friends they also reported the same problem.

                        One more problem with this website is during morning hrs we not able to login, always a white page appears with note 'Service Unavailable' some this appears after login. Overall we are unable to book Tatkal ticket during morning hrs. Later hrs all the tickets gone out :(-

                        IRCTC — Server too slow

                        Server too slow.I can't able to book ticket many time. Instead of time saving it consume more time and I lost the ticket also.
                        IRCTC is taking off all our country's prestige. The bad servers don't respond to anyone. How bad it is to say that it takes 2-3 hours to book an online train ticket in India! Please do something for this.
                        I agree. I used to book last year, and during Mr Laloo's tenure, the site was ok. (not perfect but managable). Since Mamta came in the picture, it has gone from bad to worse. It doesn't matter what time of the day, I am never able to book a ticket smoothly. Sometimes the site times out, sometimes, it shows blank page.

                        I always end up booking a flight ticket in frustration.

                        I think this is a deliberate attempt by corrupt politicians to cripple our nation. Perhaps Mamta has got lots of $$$ from flight companies to keep the site down? or perhaps she got it from the touts union who want to sell tickets in black?? whatever, Mamta needs to get her act together.

                        Even if you manage to attempt a booking, you heart is in your shoes as you wait for the payment confirmation redirect from the bank to IRCTC. Will it book my ticket this time? Or will I get yet another failed debit and eventual repayment? This site is a symptom of the attitude of the entire Indian bureaucracy - pretend to work some of the time.
                        its all IRCTC fault. site like google and facebook have more than million server for handling global traffic and IRCTC has very less server for handling traffic they make avg 40-60 lakh per day they can afford lots of server easily its like penny in thousand of dollars but they are never tried to do this. I just hope INDIAN RAILWAY launch its own portal as soon as possible and make sure learn from IRCTC...

                        Since five days i am trying to book my ticket but till 8.10 am it shows book after 8.00am.Even i had filled two TDR for my tickets in OCT 2010 but not yet i had received the refund.

                        Railways — IRCTC Website is down for many days

                        Please see that IRCTC Website is down for many days. This is certainly not acceptable to me.
                        I am sure so many others like me are been troubled since their ticket details are stuck with their profiles created in IRCTC site. I am not able to cancel the booked ticket neither I am able to provide any booking reference to modify the ticket from outside.

                        I am not sure if this is the right forum to raise such complaint and whether this complaint will be taken further.

                        will be greatful if someone can address and act on this Issue. More than me I feel resolution of this Issue will be in public interest.

                        What the hell is going on. This is the 9 th time i have tried to book the tatkal ticket online. but after loging in for sevral times i always get teh message " service unavailable". and when it opens after 40 min i.e 8:40 in the morning...all the tatkal tickets are sold out. The misery of the situationis that...tickets booked through agent login are made out very fast. If the rail dept r there for agents only...then why r u creating a sham showing all this...online ticket booking and bla bla bla...no use. just close it down.
                        but now its high time this matter is got to be taken seriously. i am gonna lodge a complaint with the railway ministry officials. i know nothing is gonna happen...but still i'm gonna try. all the people reading this and who are really pissed off with the "monkey play" of irctc site...please do the same if you really want a relief.

                        The Pathetic Web Services provided by irctc is beyond imagination. We common people are barred to use the site in the morning hours (8 am - 8.30am), because of agent harboring for Tatkal Tickets. The Main plan of Railway Dept is Profit as it was loss making in the past due to its Aam Admi Friendly, now the govt has become more towards profit making as they need to show off that at least one dept. is up to mark, so that they can throw off allegations. it seems "the railway minister is paid to do this", whoever ends up as railway minister has to pay a heavy price of public demoralizing. But due to its profits, it is considered a bail off venture. It seems in india there is a "Loop-hole Experiment" Event going on, so that the politicians can do whatever they want, until they get their hit. All we are asking is Fair Empowerment in our life and we get this . anyway these complaints are never gonna make any sound even to the administrators of this site, because they are too in some Elsewhere Engagement. obviously i am posting this to vent out my anger with the idea that my venting out is never gonna be caught :P

                        IRCTC site being too slow these days for last 2 months or so.
                        I used to book ticket in day time, it was fine, but now its even difficult to check the availability status. either the web server getting too many request that it can cater or some other attacks attemt to get in. what ever be the reason ultimately the end- user suffers.Railway should look into the matter and even then this is not corrected, we can feel its made so intentionally.
                        Since IRCTC is being used by people for booking tickets for several years, and because it is a "Government of India enterprise", I prefer booking my tickets from IRCTC website. However, looking at the lousy performance of the site, I think I should better switch over to makemytrip or to some other similar site.

                        Today I tried to access irctc.co.in, literally it was taking nearly 15-20 mins to just load the login/home page.
                        Other sites I tried to use opening within 5-10 seconds.

                        IRCTC provides a very easy way to book rail tickets in india through www.irctc.co.in. This site encounter huge amount of load in terms o[censored]ser clicks and number o[censored]ser accounts it has. Being a Goverment Body unit, irctc should keep upto the mark o[censored]ser expectations but i am very depressed to see that i cannot even make a single ticket in off peak time. This is not a once in a while incident, i am facing problem in making an e-ticket since last 3 days. CRIS must engage some software professionals to enhance the performance of this site as at present it has become completely useless of anyone to use it.

                        Could you please cater this very urgent and critical issue.

                        This is site is a mess and whenever there is a hurry of buying a ticket online, the pages become slow and even the login page comes after 5-10 minutes of waiting. Please Look into this matter, as it is jeopardising the revenue generation process of the country also.
                        I am completely frustrated with the website. There is no alternate website and I am surprised that India which ships the best IT profession to all over the world and these very good Indian people who have enhanced the companies to which they work for and have contributed to a higher level of quality of life to the country they are contracted to cannot reciprocate the same back in their home land.
                        I refuse to agree that we do not have the knowledge or talent to have a world class system and for god’s sake the railways is most used and largest network in India and is the biggest network in the world.
                        There must be something that be done to fix it. We have the IIT at our disposal, don’t tell me even they cannot fix it. We have Infosys whose ex member is running the UID program for the government. Don’t tell Infosys cannot fix it. It’s a petty that we have such world class companies and Institution and our major means of transport website sucks to the extent that so many local users have put up to it.

                        IRCTC Server is pathetically down, I booked my ticket last month but did not take printout at that time.

                        Now my travel date is nearing but i am unable to reach to book history page and retrieve my booked tickets most of the time it says session expired/server not responding page.

                        Its my fault that I relied on the irctc server. I think somebody in middle is pocketing internet booking charges Rs 20 instead of investing in server maintenance /upgrading it.

                        Yes Irctc has become too slow, it was not always like this, ...i booked a ticked on Friday 13th, 2012...it took me 90 minutes to book 1 ticket, whereas it used to take 10 minutes at the most...twice it did not accept payment via citibank...finally had to use amex...today 15.1.12 it took 45 minutes to book 1 ticket...the number of complaints against irctc website are huge...wonder if they are reading it at all ?? It is the number E com site in the country and they can't let people down like this...on today's world who has the time to wait 45 minutes to book 1 ticket...its like the old days now, when one stood in long lines at Rail Reservation Centre. Totally frustating...Ashish
                        Yes IRCTC is now very slow, we should say thanks to the new ministry for the current state of the website. I am trying to book a ticket for the last 5 hrs, let alone book a ticket I am unable to login itself. If the service provider can't provide a good service then I suggest that we stop it. The funny part is I am wrong in a co-corporate network without any success in login but my travel agent was able to book a ticket for me with out any issue. I guess that is what we call magic...or back door entry.--- not sure..

                        Actually.. Now IRCTC people should create two parts of the server. specially to distribute processing.
                        1st server that will handle all the requests coming from customer regarding train inquiry, time table etc. Means when you search for trains between two stations, it will be handled within the first server.

                        2. once passenger decides his train, and now he want to purchase his ticket, all payment related transaction and seat availability should be handled on the 2nd server.
                        This is the same processing like you search train in any agent website..Private agent websites allows you to search trains very quickly any time. when you click on "Book" button then and then only it goes to the agent website.
                        This way it should make life easier for both type of people, 1. who want to see the train timings and 2. who actually want to book tickets.
                        Till sometime last year it wasn't too difficult to book a ticket on this site. But then it started getting annoying. I moved to other sites like cleartrip or makemytrip and what a difference that made! I was able to book onward and return in one go, unlike the irctc where you had to do these separately. Of late booking through these sites have also become impossible because the irctc site is SO bad. You cannot even check availability because the site does not respond. And now you also need to register with irctc if one is to book a rail ticket through cleartrip or makemytrip. I spent the whole day today trying to do just that! And I did not succeed. Instead I could have gone to the railway station and booked it with less headaches and without all this tension and anger! They better do something to really speed up the site or just close it down. I dont think I will ever try this site again. No point getting your blood pressure go soaring through the roof!

                        it is getting slower by the day.. It is extremely difficult to use this site. It is worst during morning hours due to Tatkal booking but now all days it is very very slow.. Anyone listening and have any plan to fix it? There are sites with exponentially higher number o[censored]sers and content like Facebook but works very well. Being IT hub of the world why can't we fix this problem ...Mr. Railway minister are you listening?

                        This is one of the biggest mode of travelling in India. Around 95% of the travel done through Rail and railway is making billions out of it. We can not expect these kind of pathetic railway services when you find yourself to be fooled at the time of booking the ticket, specially in morning hours when you are in urgent need of TATKAL ticket. In my opinion Indian Railway admin take bribe from agents and this is the only reason they get the ticket confirmed even if it is TATKAL. If IRCTC can not deliver optimum services they must shut down this site.

                        Why is the railways not maintaing or trying to tweek the site for accomodating the traffic?If this trend goes on it would crash in a couple of months and then the railways will think about a solution and have to shed double the money if the situation was bought under control just by maintenance.I think Indian public sectors need to be privatised to enjoy the benefits from the huge budget allocated.

                        IRCTC has become unusable even in normal hours (Not only 8AM to 9AM). It takes anywhere between 2-3 hours at say even 4PM IST...!!!

                        This site used to be a site which we used to talk about lean sites. Now post Lalu's turn as railways minister, the site is ebing manipulated . Either it says not available or it says unavailable or it is very slow. Now it takes 2 hours to somehow book a ticket . Many incidents when i got everything done, bank debits happen and then the site becomes unresponsive. At the same time, when an agent is approached they are able to book tickets . This is public curruption and nothing else

                        is the irctc.co.in really a site? i am really having serious doubts whether the site is being maintained at all.. it is more like it has been abandoned by the concerned officials. whenever i try to book a thatkal ticket the infamous blank page with the dreaded words "SERVICE UNAVAILABLE" pops up. is this the new slogan of the indian railways?
                        common people like me are still in the dark about for whose benefit the site is really being hosted, whether for the passengers' or the agents' benefit.

Giving excuse of multiple pleople using it very old. like google is also used by millions and billions of people around the people but we don't getting message like server is busy and it also maintains it speed. hope Indian railway department will do something to improve atleast seed of the website

                        I tried to book a tatkal ticket today. I am wondering why the Government is not taking proper action for the slowness in opening the page.
                        The page didnt not load from 10 to 11 am. How will the users take tatkal ticket. When will the Government officials take responsibility.

                        Common person not book ticket Tatkal in IRCTC website now. The website is damn slow and do not let anyone to log in from 10 AM to 10.30 AM. I tried using one of the best broadband and still I could not. There is big lobby behind the railway ticket booking and they purposefully slows down the server. They will change the reason time after time. The lobby grown rapidly during the last few years and they are able to control the Indian railway system. I do not think any use in sending this complaint to IRCTC when they may be involved in this but I want to know to whom I can send a complaint so they can look this issue independently. I am really sick of this Tatkal booking and really frustrating at least not able to log in to system.

I tried using one of the best broadband and still I could not. There is big lobby behind the railway ticket booking and they purposefully slows down the server. They will change the reason time after time. The lobby grown rapidly during the last few years and they are able to control the Indian railway system. I do not think any use in sending this complaint to IRCTC when they may be involved in this but I want to know to whom I can send a complaint so they can look this issue independently. I am really sick of this Tatkal booking and really frustrating at least not able to log in to system.
                        I am a frequent user of IRCTC, now its performance dead slow. Getting hours to take ticket. I understand that government want hand over this national asset to somebody, before that they want get more complaint from public, then they can easily handover public asset to somebody and politician also can loot lot of money in the name of handover, its fate of India... need to respond this. ...
                        There is a big lobby behind it more than we imagine. They control they system. They pay money to all person involved in railway and one of them are IRCTC website maintenance team. They just adjust the server and website. We need CBI probe and put all of them in Jail. Never know when India will become corruption free.
                        Indian rail you suck... Eat you dogs who operate on the sites... You are no benefit to indians at large who rely heavily on you...Sud ke maroge kutton...

                        IRCTC — Refund against cancelled e-ticket

                        I have cancelled e-ticket against PNR [protected] on 03.04.2015 but the refund amount of Rs 10260 is not refunded to my respective bank account till now.

                        To all the commenters here, IRCTC site functionality has nothing to do with any other thing than huge traffic and not having an infrastructure to cope up with it.

                        Nonetheless, a good internet connectivity and hardware would increase our chances of booking in the prime time. I hope this helps and I wish good luck to IRCTC for further improvements.

                          Dear Sir,

                          I am a daily user of irctc website and I fear something abnormal happened today.
                          I tried to book tickets for 2 people(my parents) under tatkal from Chennai Egmore(MS) to Trivandrum Central(TVC) in Ananthapuri Express(6123). The total availabililty under tatkal is 206.
                          My PNR [protected] got generated at 8:04, but I am shocked to find it in waiting list 71,72.
                          I have booked many tickets in tatkal and have never seen almost 300 tatkal tickets booked within 4 minutes in a single train.

                          Can you please confirm this is normal or some malpractices happened in tatkal reservations.
                          This is urgent since only two more days left for the journey.

                          Its my mistake, the berth reservation depends on the boarding point and in the above reservation, the boarding point don't have availability, hence the waiting list.

                          This is no more an issue.

                              Hi,

                              Today i booked from Dausa to Ahmedabad with Boarding Point as Jaipur. My PNR No [protected].
                              But the Tickets were booked with Waiting list where as there were 213 tickets avaliable from Dausa. The waiting list was for Jaipur Station so only i booked it from Dausa. I am charged from Dausa where as they provide me Booking from Jaipur .

                              My Complaint is that when they provide Booking from boarding Station Status why are allowing to book from other Station which has confirmed Seats and also they charge with From Station and not boarding station in such cases. this is Pure Cheating from IRCTC booking site.

                                Poor tour package
                                I, Satish S. Kulkarni, booked 8 seats for the New Glory of Himalaya Summer Vacation Package, for the date May 30 to June 8, at IRCTC Pune office. Sorry to say, but the entire experience was not very good.

                                1) For my family I have booked a double room with extra bed for my son. But barring, `Khushaboo Resorts` at Manali, there wasn't extra bed. At Shimla I have to asked many times for the extra bed & it was provided late in the night. The bed, the cover & the blanket was unclean.

                                2) The hotel at Chandigarh, `Silky Resorts` was at it's worst. We were given transit rooms. There was no mirror in the room, the basin taps were not working. After complaining the work was done. There was no hot water till 5.50 & we were asked to come for breakfast at 6.00 am! The bed-tea was worst! Ii was a worst experience.

                                3) The dining hall at `Hotel Sukhasagar` at Shimla was too small to accommodate the entire 36 member team. It was not a good feeling, that you have to stay much time in the Que & have your meals wandering here and there.

                                4) We started at 7.00 am from Manali & reached Chandigarh at 9.00 pm. Fourteen hours in the bus! We were told to see rock garden & sukahana lake in the evening hours, just permitting us 30 minutes! Actually it was scheduled on the eighth day morning.

                                5) In Shimla also, no sight seeing was arranged. The mosques, the Church, the Gaiety theater...where was it all? On Way to Manali Pandho Dam was unseen for us. River rafting was added. Why?

                                6) The bus provided for the tour was not good. I suspect it's speed was locked. The so called push-back seats were uncomfortable.

                                7) Your sub-contractor was not able enough to handle the tour. The tour manager told us that railway timing is 13.50; actually is was 15.50 as per given schedule.

                                8) Also, there was no pantry car for the train. Earlier while booking, it was told that there is a pantry car. The food available in the train was below par quality.

                                9) I must mention one thing; The hotel at Manali, `Khushaboo Resorts` was one of the best hotels. The food at that hotel, the service was excellent! I must thank you for the only relief!!

                                10) Mr. Nirmalchandra Thorat, who was with me, was assured of providing all the necessary details, for his LTA. He called many times at Pune office for the same, but no one attended him. Now he his thinking to file a case at consumer court.

                                11) The most disheartening part of this is after returning I mailed to Mr. Roopesh Shah & Ms. Sandya Nathi, at IRCTC’s Pune office. But both of them did not answered.

                                I hope you will do something regarding this & punish the guilty.

                                Indian Railways — WORST ACCOMMODATION

                                i am 21 years old, i travelled from new delhi to chennai on jun 1st in ac 3 tier by tamilnadu express, we booked the ticket before 60 days in waiting list, during the last 5 days the 32 births are given to tatkal passengers paying rs 300 extra and waiting list holders in tatkal quota are given more preference, i dont know why railway is not alotting seperate coach to tatkal peoples.. also since it is summer only 2 ac 3 tier coaches is in sufficient for this train, , we request railway to take action in this regard...

                                I had booked e ticket for borivali to delhi for august kranti espress for 16th october 2009 for 6 passenger.The PNR no is -[protected] & transaction id is [protected]. when i booked the ticket it was waitlisted. at the time of journey only 3 tickets got confirmed & remaining 3 remained wait listed. because it was 3e ticket the 3 wait listed passengers didnot board the train. on phoning IRCTC helpline i was told to file TDR online & was told that the refund would take 90 days.. I filed TDR on 18th October 2009. on january 17th 2010 the limit of 90 days got over but i still have not received money. on phoning IRCTC helpline i was told to mail my querries to [protected]@irctc.co.in.. i have waited enough kindly give me the number, address & Name of the officer concerned as i wish to file RTI application & case in judiciary.

                                Kindly look into the matter.

                                      I could not utilize the train ticket I purchased through IRCTC website as the train was running indefinitely late. I paid INR 983/-for this 3AC ticket (PNR no [protected]) from Lucknow to Kolkata on 2318 ASR-Sealdah exp. departing Lucknow at 20:55 on 8th February. Since there was no information about the train at the enquiry counter and I had to catch an overseas flight ex- kolkata on 9th Feb, I had to choose other means to reach Kolakata, which in this case was a Jetlite flight.

                                      I requested for the refund to IRCTC at the [protected]@irctc.co.in with all the necessay documenets and I got following reply from them

                                      Thanks for showing interest in our site. Kindly note that e-ticket cancellation can be done up to the chart preparation, after making chart e-ticket cancellation not allowed. In this case we are forwarding your case to railways for the TDR process. Railways check all the matters and decide what amount should be refunded and this all process takes 90 days or more. Once the railways refunded your amount, we will credited to your same account.

                                        Poor quality of tea was served in 2650 KTK SMPRK express on 16.11.09 after Kazipet and on pointing it out the vendor of the Pantry Car said that type of tea only will be served.He was not wearing his name badge and refused to get the complaint book. I had to go to the Pantry Car No: SWR 89809 to complaint to the Manager, he was more adamant and refused to give the complaint book on the plea that he was not having one and said he had told the boy not to sell the tea but he has sold the same on his own will.His excuse was that he was not having the milk which was expected at Kachiguda station.He was not bothered because he new no action can be taken against him as there is no record of complaint.Other passengers also told me of poor quality of food served to them the previous night.

                                        on 24.11.09 when I was coming from New Delhi to Hyderabad by 2724 AP Express, same was the situation, they were giving one menu and serving some other thing, on pointing it out they said they will rectify it when they served the meal next. My PNR No:[protected].It looks that by Railways by giving contract to IRCTC have shed their responsibility and travellers are being put to lot of problems because of the IRCTC catering in the trains. Request to kindly take suitable action and ensure that complaints book are available with the pantry managers who hpild give on demand failing which TTE/Gaurd of the train to provide the same.
