Sir, I'm Resident of vijayawada, working in BSNL as TM. Sir, I had booked tickets from vijayawada to Varanasi for 30 members of my family. For Train No. 12669 PNR no.[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected]. Date of journey:[protected], as the Train was cancelled on the date. As it was midnight all the reservation counters were closed. And on advise of one of the TC in the station. We thought to claim in another station. And boarded another train via Patna express to the same destination in general compartment as we couldnt able to postpone our journey on that date. As and when we came to Varanasi Junction, I have approached nearest ticket counter and showed my cancelled train tickets for refund. But, I'm afraid that the concern counter person rejected and said the ticket could not be claimed as it is South central railway related, and said to claim on the same reservation counter where we have reserved. We have returned on 23rd July Via Ticket no. 42225332, 42225333, etc. As and when I have reached vijayawada station I went to the reservation counter and requested to claim the tickets amount. But, the concerned chief reservation manager has rejected my claim as due date has been completed. I have gone through rules for cancellation and found that I could claim by TDR forms. And went on next date 24th July. I have asked the chief ticket collector to issue TDR forms for refund amount. He said he has no authority to issue as it lies with head secunderabad station cheif commercial manager refunds and gave the details to claim from you sir. I have sent post of Xerox copies of all the journey tickets on 27th July. Please kindly concern the issue and make refund as early as possible. Thanking you, With warm regards S.     Date/Time of Incident:- 26/07/2015 08:21 AM PNR number of Victim (Myself - K. PANDEY M 35):- [protected] Train number/name:- 11016/KUSHINAGAR EXP I was travelling from LKO to LTT with my wife and 2 sons, and after boarding the train at LKO we all went to sleep when the train was around CNB. Once the train halted at Jhansi station, my wife woke up to notice one of our luggage missing from under our berth no. 10. I have 100% suspicion (and a witness as well) on the particular co-passengers in my compartment, complete details are below: There was one woman on the berth no. 7 in my compartment, who had ticket from Gorakhpur to Jhansi with a small girl around 5 yrs in age, and was accompanied by another man who boarded train at lucknow, and was without ticket, and had got his forged ticket made from the TTE (for around Rs. 500/-) and the TTE gave him berth no. - 5 in the neighboring compartment, and that man kept coming to our compartment to sit with the woman time to time, and got down with the woman at JHN. 1. PNR [protected] | Sayeeda F 30 | GKP to JHN 2. Without Ticket traveller Male ~34 | boarder at LKO and got down at JHN There was one passenger, R.P. Yadav M 58 PNR - [protected], who was brushing his teeth at Jhansi and saw the above mentioned suspect man getting down at Jhansi station along with my light-grey suitcase (it was a big suitcase). Details of the Luggage:- Light-Grey 28 inch VIP suitcase, plastic body and single trolley. Contents:- my marriage-certificate (also my Voter ID), 8-10 new Saris/Suits, jewelry (payals), mine and children clothes, one cloth sari-bag. There was no GRP/RP etc staff present in the coach/train and even no GRP staff showed up even when continuous announcements were made at Jhansi station for them to reach Coach A1, and even waited for them by pulling chain 3 times, at Jhansi station, this was a really unprofessional and irresponsible behavior from GRP and RP staff, as if they would have reacted quickly the criminals could have been caught. I strongly put my case for compensation of Rs. 51000/- which is the estimated cost of the damages done to me due to the theft incident, in which Railways staffs irresponsible and unprofessional behavior is utmost responsible: 1. Letting the man (one of prime suspect) who was without ticket to travel in the AC II tier coach, for which the TTE at LKO station took rs ~500/- for this. 2. No response from GRP/RP staff when announcements were being made continuously at Jhansi station, where the incident took place.       As per the policy framed by railway board, refund is processed by the zonal railway under whose jurisdiction station of the train falls. Irctc only provides access to railway passenger reservation system through its server and internet connectivity to book the ticket through it. Railway and irctc are different entities. Tdr filed by the customers are directly dealt by the concerened railway for decision. Irctc has no role in deciding the refund. On receipt of refund amount from the railways, it is credited to the account of the customer through same payment gateway which was used while making booking.
      You can check the status of your tdr claim online at irctc website using your login account.

All this people r cmg to buy ticket regualy.. The Railway Staff know them very well n they also helping them to buy the ticket... Few days back I hd noticed that a lady in counter providing 3 tatkal ticket form for dat same person n he hd buy three ticket easily... They are coming like ticket mafia.. its very hard to buy a ticket during season time... So pls pls take action on them n provide as fair ticket..             Hello, Following are the tatkal ticket details for journey PUNE to ALLAHABAD Train No./Name: 11039/MAHARASHTRA EXP. Passengers boarded the train from Pune to Bhusaval. The slip route train from Mumbai-Bhusaval-Allahabad was cancelled hence were not able to travel from Bhusaval to Allahabad. As the slip train was cancelled hence Indian Railways should refund the difference amount. TDR was filed within 6 hours of the slip train getting cancelled. After 1 month of filing the TDR the status now shows as 'No refund is granted for TATKAL CONFIRMED ticket'.As per the rules if a train is cancelled then the refund should be granted. Kindly look into this and get the refund amount approved and transferred at the earliest. Question : Does it take 1 month to update the status of TDR? Does the person checking the TDR case not go into the details before approving or rejecting? It is high time someone looks into this and takes a corrective action to grant the refund amount ASAP.                       LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF A CHIEF RESERVATION CLERK I had gone to Vashi Railway station for my railway reservation with a Concession Voucher (CV) issued by IAF. The CV was valid upto 30 sep 15 but the booking clerk on seeing the CV said that the date on the CV is not the Date of validity of the CV but it is the date before which I had to complete my journey and he started to argue with me. His lack of knowledge was also justified by the Chief Reservation Supervisor (CRS) RAJU K AWGAD. When i said that they were mistaking a CV with Free Railway Warrant (FRW) they said that, they had done so many reservation in their career that they cannot be wrong and when I said I will complian, the CRS said that he did not care. The way the CRS said “ I do not care”, I felt as if they are protected by their higher authorities even if they are wrong. Now because of lack ofawareness among two great indian reservation clerks I had to search for a knowledgeable reservation clerk who knows the difference between a CV and a FRW. LONG LIVE INDIAN RAILWAY AND ITS STAFF.

                        My Mother and her 2 friends with my younger sister were travelling by RXL-HWH express, in night while talking, the train slowed down near simariya station and a 15-16 year old boy suddenly came snatched the bag and went, They were left without any Cash, mobiles etc. and my mother was hurt, That too in an unknown place, we had to rush to take her from the station. Surprisingly there was no TC and Police man in the bogie .Also when trying to stop the train .None of the chains worked, This is an atrocious situation. I don't know i can have faith in Indian government anymore.

                            On 7th May, TDR Refund reuqested was for PNR Number [protected] for reason "Party Partially Confirmed/Waitlisted And Waitlisted Passengers Did Not Travel." Reference No for this is: [protected] Ticket for 3 passengers were booked in wait list... And 3rd passesnger status was WL1 when chart was prepared and third passenger did not travelled. Only 2 RAC passengers travelled on 5th May. I have done follow up and mailed [protected]@irctc.co.in on 29 May, 17 Jun, 1 Jul & 2 Jul. Refund is not being done and was asked to cooperate and wait. It was informed that refund is done by zonal railways and not IRCTC. Further on information from IRCTC, I have mailed [protected]@claims.indianrail.gov.in for 3 times (5 Jul, 8 Jul & 17 Jul). No one replies from this email ID. Being a tax payer and a consumer, I shouldn't be running and shuttling between IRCTC or Indian Railways - it is of no significance to consumer who will refund. Please suggest what should I do. This is a simple case of refund when 3 Wait List tickets were booked online - on chart preparation, 2 became RAC and 1 remained in wait list (passenger did not travelled as this was online ticket).                               I booked my ticket from kanpur to Mumbai having PNR number [protected] and transaction ID [protected]. This train (Pushpak Express was cancelled). I was hoping that the amount will be refunded back. But till now no processing has been done on refund. I contacted customer care and they are telling that I should have cancelled ticket for refund purpose. As the train was cancelled so it becomes there responsibility to refund money for those who did online transactions. Now they are telling nothing can be done. This is not tolerable. Its a hard earned money. Help for this.

After raising many ticket i didn't got my refund and no updates from IRCTC.

                                    Respected sir,
                                    It shows how helpless the passengers and our railway employee are that no one can deter the entry of without ticket passenger from patna railway station onwards in the aac compartment even in 2 tier ac compartment .
                                    I didn't see any guards in 2tier ac compartment fro patna to bhagalpur who should be there to defend the passenger from those nasty people . How uncomfortable we were when i got the same situation in 2 tier ac compartment as a 2nd class sleeper compartment . It's really worthless to pay high amount as a fare in those trains in bihar . Why doesn't the tte and railway police force take action against those stupid people who enter the train without any specific ticket . And when ant tte questions these guys, , they don't bother at all ... Its really serious problem .. Either you increase the no. Of local train in that route or maintain the dignity of railway management by abiding stricter rules and regulations .

                                        train cancelled but fair amount not refund yet Dear Sir, I have book a ticket from ALD to KYN the train got cancelled before two days of the journey... but I did not get a refund yet. The details are as follows: PNR NO : [protected] Train No. 11062 Transaction ID [protected] Passenger NAME : Mohd Arsad DATE of booking : 23 june 2015 date of journey : 27 June 2015 total fare 1460 for 3AC I did not get any refund still waiting for that Tried to fill a TDR on 9 july 2015 but its not allowing me ...Did not understand what to do.                                         After updating this message on this website I got a call from a person who said I am from Noida [protected]... he asked me the payment details and payment mode ... he asked me if I do have sbi account I said no... Then he told me that he have to login to my axis bank account then only he can help me... he was insisting me for my Axis bank user account and password I told him I will give it to you tomorrow but he said he is working on the ticket as of now... he again insist me for my axis bank user id and password I said I cant give my axis bank login id and password I am sorry I just disconnected the calll...I realized that there can be some fraud people who are in queue to loot us after railway ministry...Sorry to say but somehow somewhere we feel that
