Is Indian Railway Making Money? "I was suppose to board Rajdhani Express Train No. 12953 on 30th of May 2015. Just Got an Sms from IRCTC stating: Train No. 12953 is cancelled by Railways. Pl cancel your PNR No. [protected] online to get refund as per Railway Rules. Ticket Cost Me INR 2104.94. So I cancelled the ticket. Got another SMS from IRCTC stating After cancellation Amount refunded will be INR 1540" Imagine, like me thousands of passengers were suppose to board the same train and everyone definitely going for cancellation process as instructed in SMS. WOW a good amount in Lakhs has been earned by Railways without even running the train. This is clear cheating with Passenger, if Railways have cancelled the train, they must refund the full amount to Passenger. Why Passenger will not get the full refund?

    Outside Pune Railway station, there is parking place for 4 wheelers. On 27th May when we came from Railway platforms to parking space, we found that in front of our correctly parked car, another car was parked. When we asked parking authority about this, they told that they didn't have the key of the car. We struggled to bring out our car from the parking slot somehow but couldn't. In this struggle some portion of our car dashed against stone wall. Parking authority allow valet parking and park the cars in pathway such that other cars can't be removed. If any car has to be removed, parking persons struggle to take out the car to make way for others. We had a frustrating situation where the keys of car which was parked in front of our car, blocking our way, wasn't with the parking authority. After wasting 1 hours, we got some way around when some other car was moved. Parking authority only take parking charges but don't handle traffic appropriately.

      To begin with i want to know whether a parcel (Splendour bike of Hero Honda) is denied to be booked from any station? Because i was denied on jalandhar cantt station to Nasik Road saying that the train halts only for two minutes here. The train was Amritsar- Lokmanya Tilak Terminal Express. I was sent to jalandhar city for booking where the again denied to book the parcel saying the same reason. I had to go back to cantt station were they still denied. Each station staff was blaming the other. I was not given any proper information and made to go here and there. Finally i met the station superintendent of Jalandhar City station and he asked the parcel booking staff (both parcel and luggage booking staff) to book my bike. Later when i went to book my bike, the staff was angry on me and screamed "Dont you understand what we said? Your parcel will not be booked without ticket. The train has two min stoppage here and therefore you have to book it in luggage ticket. Why did you complaint about us?" I had to purchase an another ticket of general class which i was again denied by the ticket office because the previous day train had already left. They said me to bring in written from the parcel office and the parcel office denied it again. I had to bring the ticket from some other vendor with extra charges. Finally my parcel was booked for Rs. 2620/- and i was asked another 300/- for uploading the bike to train for which i wont get any receipt. I denied to pay the money in black and then he asked me to leave saying that we will upload the bike when we want. The date of booking was 21/05/2015 and the receipt no. is 560012. The parcel office has not uploaded my bike on time just because i refused to pay 300/- Also while booking the bike from Nasik Road to Jalandhar Cantt. i did in 2350/- in January 2015. Why is the other side charge high? Kindly guide me through this and resolve the issue. Thanking You.

        I booked my bike fm alwar to azamgarh dt 14/05/15 in alwar railway station booking office. Alwar station dispach bike dt 14/05/15 . But after 10 days bike not reached in azamgarh. And there are no any inquariry system in booking office for any inquariry. its not good.

          Gud evng sir /mam this is to inform you that I m Ajay Singh .I would to like to registered complaint against food stall at the railway platform .they took extra money on the mrp .at day before yesterday I came to Jabalpur, when I was reached at itarsi station I bought the cuppa mania they took me 5 rd extra on mrp .they took me 50 rs but the mrp is 45 rs .again I took one bottle milk in same the stall neo and is 20 rs they took 30 rs for the cooling charges.I have a lots of issue regarding same .so it's my humble request to you ..Pls do something.I need Ur help.if you take some action regarding this .             Sir i booked three steel trunks from barmer to patna on 28/04/2015 by pwb k109754 dated 28/04/2015.sir the booked item were not being unloaded at patna jn from train no 15631 and over carried to guwahati and in guwahati the boxes were loaded in train no 25632 and again instead o[censored]nloadedoverpatna overcarried to bikaner. Sir on 23/05/2015 the booked boxes is still in barmer and here parcel staff said that thry will load the boxes in train no15631 starting from barmer on24/05/2015 and the train will reach patna on 26/05/2015.               I have booked a bike NO BR-34 6642 at BARIELLY (BE) junction on 24/6/2015. for PNBE (PATNA) vide bill no 660854 dated 24/6/2015 at 9 AM. Till date no information is available.
              Then i inquired daily at PNBE. They told we cannot help this regard go to DANAPUR NR cell.
              Then i thought how this railway giving mental physical and economical torture for their customer. For inquiry you have to go 20 km from capital station. I went their lodge a complained but they again told you have to come daily for further information.
              What is this? at least you can make SMS or mail or phone to part that your parcel reached or not?
              One thing is very injustice toward to customer is that if delay in picking the parcel you charge 10 rs per hr. If you delay will you pay ? no . for going station daily cost Rs 100 per day will you pay ? Make responsibility ?

                We are travelling in AP express in 3tier AC from New Delhi to Hyderabad on (21-22)May 2015. Our PNR number is [protected]. We got B1/21 and B1/22 berths(Pravalika Reddy, Urmila Devi). AC stopped working in our coach from Nagpur. we have to suffer in this summer. Have tried for help but no assistance was provided. KIndly refund the ticket amount and also remember it is Indian railway afterall and you should not harass passengers travelling in AC compartments by providing such services.

                  I booked a tatkal ticket with PNR no.[protected] for Delhi to Mumbai, I live in Meerut, I had to reach Delhi to catch this train but the chart is not prepared till 1:00 am. Should a person be awake whole night to get his status after charting? Plus the Premium Tatkal issued by Railways is harassing passengers a lot. We get premium tatkal rates similar to a air fare. New Delhi to Mumbai Premium special train is costing me 4000 INR if my ticket does not get confirmed. Railways have always been for middle class men, if we cannot travel even by railways, then what is the governement we have selected for? Next time, we will never vote for BJPians. I am harassed a lot. Action should be taken against railways ASAP.

                    RESPECTED SIR / MADAM, I am an IAS aspirant, I have booked two parcel on 13th april 2015 from NEW DELHI to TPJ-TIRUCHIRAPPALLI JN. ( PWB No. is [protected] ) ... till date 19-05-15 i have not received my parcel.. I would like to know the status of the parcel booked at NEW DELHI at the earliest & why the same was not reached . And moreover the Station Authority at TJP is showing their inability to trace the consignment. My parcel is very important as it consist of my books for civil service examination and as i have my exam on August 23th, i humbly request the parcel service of Indian railways to kindly look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest to deliver both of my parcel to me.                       Date of journey:10/5.2015 Travelling train:Rani Chennamma Express Departure time: 21.15 Platform no. 8 My wife and I came to platform 1 around 8 pm. We took the number from the display board at the exit gate and called the driver. He responded by saying that he would come and ferry us at 8.30. We waited but he was not coming. Again we called him and we saw him ferrying some passengers. He said he would return after 10 minutes. But, we saw him ferrying passengers mostly youngsters. Since the departure time was nearing, we hired cooli and left for platform 8.

                        Hi, i had to send off my mother to chennai via 6am shatabi on 16-may-2015. But i reached the station 15mins before train was to start and when i went to buy a platform ticket, the cue was so big at the bangalore city junction (Majestic) as both plstform n general tickets are issued at the same counter and also no staff at the platform ticket counter, also as my mother is bit old as well and she cannot walk fast, i was forced to ignore to buy a platform ticket. But after sending off my mothèr while i was coming out this checking personnel caught met. I told him this incident, but he insisted i pay the fine of rs.280/-. I asked him to show the rule book, he did not have and started yelling.. Cannot say rules to citizen and this up railway problem to have more options to buy platform tickets for customers/citizens or why cannot you bring an online facility of buying platform tickets... Do this to make passengers and people assisting them life simple. You railways and railway ministry enough off corruption, give good service to citizens...,

                            Tapash Paul is missing since Sunday early morning and we have no contacts with him. He was supposed to board Sealdah rajdhani from Delhi for Durgapur. Train was late by 9 hrs and left at 1.20 am. We have no clue where is he. Last time he contacted us is at 11.45 pm Saturday.                               We have sent some household articles from Ahmedabad to Kottayam, Kerala at 30.4.2015.But it didnot reach Kottayam till this time.We contact with KTM railway parcel office everyday.Today we ask for the information about our parcel.But they did not give any thing.We don't have the number of Ahmedabad railway station.So please send the information about our parcel.

S5, Seat no. 25 In the midnight when train stops at Mananpur station, Someone Snatches my Gold Chain from window . I could not trace them since it was night and I was in sleep .                                     Sir, I am a defence employee transfered from Hyderabad to Tirunelveli and reported accordingly. My bike Honda-Dream Yuga AP 28 DN 9770 was booked through Railway Parcel Service, Kachiguda on 20 Apr 2015 vide way bill/receipt No. 1099390 and as confirmed by same office that the bike is uploaded on 22 Apr 2015 [KCG to TEN). But till date the bike is not received to Tirunelveli or Nagercoil as checked personnaly on daily basis. Also none of these office has a phone No. and neither they give their mobile No.. Personnal checking on daily basis is very hasardous and no advice is being given.

                                      My wife and children had to travel by train no 09310 on[protected]PNR Number [protected]) .We checked the status on train enquiry system and found that the train is late by 1 hr 29 min and was not reached at vadodara.We confirmed it with my friend who is residing at vadodara .We postponed the departure and waited for next update.At 7.15 the train was expected at Surat was 8:40AM .We started to station at 7:40 to Surat and reached at 7:58 at station.I parked my car and reached station the coach position was there.We waited for some time and found that train was already left.Sir we are reliable on technology and fall as a victim We had to attend a function at our village.Is it possible to wait at platform for long time with children even if we know train is late? we confirmed it at 139 from land line no [protected] you can confirm it.
