I went to drop my friend at Dakaniya Station, Kota by my car. As soon as I dropped him contractor of Indian Railway for parking came to me and demanded Rs. 10/-. I asked him that when I never parked the car, even I did not off the ignition of engine of my car and I am just returning, the contractor told that he charges Rs. 10/- as soon as vehicle enters into the premises of Indian Railway. I resist for his contention than he called some persons of gunda type of his stand and they misbehaved with me. Ultimately I had to pay his unlawful demand.

    i was to
    travel in raptisagar express 12512 from trichur to gorakhpur wit a
    tatkal ticket ,due to some problem in aleppy the train was announced
    40 mins late followed by 1 hr and 1.5hr,i checked the website and also
    the telephone helpline of railways both said the same thing ,i reached
    the station at 12.15 and 30 mins later i go to know that the train
    left at 12.04,i contacted the next station that is shornur to find out
    if the train has arrived over there to make an attempt to make an
    attempt to get there via taxi but they said the train is 1.5hr late
    officially but on its way !!! What kind of a information is that
    .after 5 mins i got to know that the train has reached there .that is
    the train is almost on time .either stop reporting the late running
    else give authentic information the tatkal ticket charge is 2000 rs to
    gkp and i got no refund .if this incident is any worth and if
    something can be done to stop repeating this please do something about
    it

    This is regarding the train between Amritsar & Jaipur.
    As it is an Express train but it is running as a passenger train between Alwar to Jaipur(NWR), although the fare which Railway is claiming is of Express train.
    Here I want to tell one more thing that the distance between Alwar & jaipur is only 150 Kms & this train is regularly 4 hrs means avg speed is 37 kms/hour.
    As this train is having an another importance for daily updowners.The reason behind that is a passenger train.This Amritsar Jaipur Exp never overtake this Shuttle.

    Kindly look into this matter otherwise the things may be serious, because the dissatisfaction in daily passenger is increasing day by day.

    I bag to say That i Ram Singh Belongs from Shankargarh Railway Station, which distance from allahabad is 40 km in Allahabad-Mumbai root, between Manikpur Jn and Naini Jn, Here we are more than 200 MST Holder's.few person's are Employee, and another's are Students, in morning Time we are using Kashi Express 5017 Dn Train, But This time Passenger itarsi Passenger train is not running.so 5017 Dn Kashi Express is Running as Passenger, and Reach Allahabad after 10 O'Clock So we all are Facing So much Problem, We are Being Late EveryDay, So Please Otherwise Run 5017 Dn Kashi Express Timely or Provide un another train Stopage, Such as Godan Express or Tulsi Express. This is Not Only Short Time Problem but We are Faceing Thease time Problem Whole Year Because 5017 Dn Kashi Express In being often Late, So Kindely To Solve Our Problem Please Provide Us Another Train Which Have No Stop at Shankargarh, Make the Stop such as Godan Express or Tulsi Express.

      1. I have the honour to submit you the following for your kind favorable action please.

      2. Due to my father’s illness I alongwith my family proceeded on leave to my native place near to Rewari, Haryana.

      3. On 25th May 2009 at 0800 hrs, I made a TATKAL reservation at Rewari Junction (Rly Stn) for the journey for myself and my family (wife and two sons) from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Visakhapatnam in 2nd AC under “TATKAL QUOTA” for 30th May 2009 by 2722 Dakshin /Link Express. I was the first person at the counter and my requisition was from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Visakhapatnam . Since the printer reibbon was not working properly and the ticket could not be printed so I have been issued a manuscript ticket for Visakhapatnam in A1 coach with their office seal and signature.

      4. On 30th May 2009 I alongwith my family reached at Hazrat Nizamuddin Rly station at 2230 hrs since my train was scheduled to depart at 2250 hrs at night. I boarded the train, while checking of ticket by the TTE, it was told me that the ticket is wrong as the reservation has been made to Hyderabad instead of Visakhapatnam and and this coach will be delinked at Kazipet Jn on 31 May midnight this put me and my wife in a great sock as the ticket has been issued for Visakhapatnam which is a handwritten(copy enclosed).

      5. However, I traveled on this reservation upto Kazipet and this perforced me to get down for changing to general compartment with baggage in the midnight at 0130 hrs. This change of compartment from 2AC to ordinary class lost our peacefulness and gone through a lot of mentally agony, since we could not sleep throughout the night.

      6. I requested to the railway authorities but no action has been initiated till to-date . In view of the above, may I therefore, request to kindly find out the facts, how the reservation has been booked to Hyderabad since the requisition was for Visakhapatnam and necessary action be taken to grant me compensation of Rs. 50000/ for undergoing mentally agony thought the journey.

        PNR no [protected] complaint no 50074 dated 15.12.2010 travelled in train number 2955 from mumbai - jaipur in 2nd AC coach. Catering services run by IRTC is pathetic, Hawkers selling tea, cold drinks breakfast etc keep shouting in every 2 miniutes. Atleast 6 tea hawkers in a row keep calling and followed by breakfast, cold drinks, confectionary items keep calling shouting. Till 10 pm breakfast items and tea were sold. Such diturbance in AC coach do not let pessengers have comfortable journey. Untill i personally warned hawkers it was unstppable in night. There is no dicipline. Manager of catering refused to give complaint book therefore i registered complaint with coach TT/TC. Is there any way to reduce the frequency and let pessenger sleep comfortably. Has IRTC got right to hijack the comfort of pessenger. Are they unstoppable.It is the duty of TC/TT/ Attendent of the coach to stop such a noisy scene. But catering manager dont hear them, hawkers dont care for manager/ attendent/ TC.

          Dear Sir,

          We would like to say that at railway crossing Gandhidham, we have observed most of the time gateman has closed the crossing barrier and after 25 to 30 minutes they have open the barrier without going any train, due to above people has facing too much traffic and become late for office and etc. We have also seen that there is frequent happening of accident due to heavy traffic and hurry to go office.
          Why it becomes like this, is there some technical problem or deliberately done by gateman, please make an enquiry and maintain the smooth operation of said railway crossing.

            Sir, thousands of people travel from Gujarat to Mathura which is pilgrim place, thru Gujarat Samapark Kranti, but now came to know that this halt of Mathura has been deleted from this train from 1st October.
            So, this is what the people of Gujarat deserve from Mr Modi.
            Are these "Acche din"

            Please resolve this as very difficult to understand why this halt which was of 2 mins has been deleted.

              My name is Bhavesh Patel, I traveled in train number Arravalli express (train no: 9708) dated[protected] from boarding from Siddhpur to Bandra terminus. My ticket number is 30198 and allocated berth was S9-22 but When I boarded the train my berth was already occupied by another passenger with a ticket for the same berth. But when I cross checked with the TT of the train, I was told that there is no validity for the manual ticket which was issued to me, as it was ticket under siddhpur quota. The TT told me that I will be given a berth after 9 hours of journey, which was almost the end of the travel duration. I later came to know that I was not only one to undergo this situation but there were another 13 fellow passengers who underwent the same condition, all of them boarded the train from Siddhpur. Although I had a valid ticket I had to travel like a passenger with a waiting list passenger. I had meeting next day and was not able to attend it as I spent my entire night standing. Kindly do the needful to ensure that no other passenger undergoes the same harassment as we underwent.                 I had booked an e-ticket from my irctc.co.in account for my journey planned on 13th Dec 2010 from AKOLA JN (AK) to PUNE JN (PUN). Train No. 2130 AJAD HIND EXPRESS , PNR No. [protected]
                But on the day of my journey, the train was late for more than 7 hours, so i didn't travel by this train. Also, i was not able to cancel this ticket online as the chart was prepared. So I filed a TDR refund request on[protected] to cancel the ticket and refund my money.
                The cost of the ticket was Rs 1663/- and Rs 10/- was charged by irctc as internet service charges (total cost=Rs1672/-). Also my bank charged me Rs 11/- as service charges.

                Since the train was running late for more than 15 hours, it was a fault of indian railways. So i deserve the full refund of my ticket amount. Even though it is a small amount but this issue should be highlited (in public interest) to irctc that irctc has to refund the full amount in such cases (icluding bank charges). I, therefore, would like to file a consumer complaint against irctc for getting the full refund with proper compensation for the inconvenience caused (i had to make alternate arrangements for my journey at the 11th hour) as well as consumer court instructions to irctc to refund full amount (including bank charges) to all its customers in such cases in future.

                IRCTC — Refund of a Ticket of which Train was late

                Hi,

                I booked a ticket in the month of July for travel in the month of Aug.2008. The train was late by more than 4 hours. So booked flight ticket. On the very next day I filed TDR with the reason my train was late by more than 4 ticket and also sent Copy of Ticket to railway. Till date i have not received refund for the PNR. What to do? Please guide me.

                IRCTC — TRAIN 15 HOURS LATE

                REF:PNR No. [protected] We travelled on North East Express 2505 26th March 2009 from New Jalpaiguri to New Delhi. The service arrived over 15hours later than scheduled. We have contacted IRTC through email [protected]@irctc.co.in requesting confirmation that the train did indeed arrive 15 hours late and why the train was late. After 6 weeks the information has still not been supplied. The consequence of the delay caused us to miss flight to London. We then had to purchase 2 more tickets for myself and my husband at cconsiderable expense. We need to know what liability the railway company is prepared to take. We are unable to pursue any claim on our travel insurance until IRCTC supply us with confirmation in writing that the train was delayed - and the reason why?

                train late by 8 hr. even more but this information is also not provided properly to take any decision. i have confirmed ticket but no confirmation of train arrival. I spend Rs194 for reservation but due to train i have to chose shivganga exp. at 2:30 which itself has pathetic condition of general coach but for that also i hav to buy new general ticket i want to put following points:
                1. Atleast provide correct expected latetime.
                2. atleast a person having res. ticket for other train should allow travel through any other in same route in general.
                3. should take effective actions for these pathectic condition of general coach in the peak season.
                4. In such circumstances if passenger is not taking facilty of res. then their should be refundable money after appropriate deduction of money.
                i know its hardly effect of my writing bt am writing just for telling u problem facing by me along with people like me.

                IRCTC Refund for cancelled ricket for train running late more than 15 hours.

                I had booked an e-ticket (on 03-Nov-2009 06:57:40 PM ) from my irctc.co.in account for my journey planned on 04-Nov-2009 from JAIPUR to INDORE JN BG(INDB)). I had booked an e-ticket in AC-3 class by 2466/INTERCITY EXP . At the time of booking, this ticket was a waitlisted ticket (WL), but it was confirmed in coach B1-09 later.
                But on the day of my journey, the train was late for more than 15 hours, so i didn't travel by this train. Also, i was not able to cancel this ticket online as the chart was prepared. So I filed a TDR refund request on[protected] to cancel the ticket and refund my money.
                The cost of the ticket was Rs 895/- and Rs 20/- was charged by irctc as internet service charges (total cost=Rs915/-). Also my bank charged me Rs 11/- as service charges.

                    Highly disappointed to notice plenty of bed bugs in 3AC/B1 coach on 6731/Mysore express. Whole coach, no one could sleep. Plus all our baggages now will be carrying these bugs home. It was a horrible experience. My name is E R Ashok Kumar (PNR : [protected]). My 2 year & 6 year old kid & entire family sufferred. It was night mare experience. Not sure how this can reach the highest level.

                    One of the passager pulled the chain also, response from authorities is that pest control done on 4th dec 2010 & we travelled on 13th Dec 2010.

                      Dear Sir,( Date of Traveling _12.12.10 - T.No 1018 Chalukya Express - PNR No_ [protected]) from Belgaum To Dadar.
                      With Duo Respect to our Catering services for IRCTC. I would like to bring to notice that Food handling procedures are very Dirty. As following.
                      The aprons wearing is dirty & soiled.
                      The tray is uncleaned.
                      The same hand is touch to handle bar & same is used for serving Idli, Vada & other edables.
                      The medical condition for serving crew is to be verified.
                      Quality of Tea is very Poor.

                      Overall - The sanitation of Pantry car is totally unhygenic.

                          Please take necessary steps against Eating Tobaco, Cigarettes smoking, Chewing Gutkha, Khaini inside the train compartment. In the Sealdah to Krishnagar, Ranaghat, Gede, Kalyani (main) line many people are use these types of things. So, it is not only hurmful for user, they are also hurmful for other people.

                              Hi Sir/Madam,

                              I was travelling with my family along with 2 kids (4yrs and 4months old) in 3 AC and 2 AC between Bangalore and Rajamundry.

                              From Bangalore to Rajmundry travelled in Sheshadri Express on 03/12/2010 by 3 AC.

                              From Rajmundry to Bangalore travelled in Hatia - Yesvantpur Yesvantpur Express(2835) on 06/12/2010 by 2 AC.

                              The 2AC compartment wasvery old and in bad condition with the seats where as 3AC compartments were very good.

                              The worst thing of all is cockroaches and insects in the AC compartments which are creating lot of problem. My both daughters were bitten by cockroaches and are suffering from wounds now.

                              This problem is very common in all the trains in Bangalore Howrah route as i travel frequently in these trains.

                              Inspite of paying huge amount for the AC travel we are getting facilities and above that we have to deal with insects.

                              Pathetic is the feeling whenever i think regarding there and the poor maintenance by Indian railways. All they want is money and not customer satisfaction.

                              Is the indian railways thinking that whatever may be the situation indians will travel in railways under any circumstances and with all the dirty maintenance.

                              Please look into this for the good of the public.

                                Dear Sir
                                A ticket cancellation request was made online 6 hrs before train departure time of 11.30 pm at [protected]@irctc.co.in, the details of which are as under

                                PNR No : [protected]
                                Train No. & Name: 2233/LKO NDLS AC EXP
                                Date of Journey:[protected]
                                Class: 3A
                                Date Of Boarding:08/8/2010


                                Subsequnetly TDR was filed however was told by the TDR cell that as per the information mentioned by railways in their letter RF1/16067/10-11/B3/11.10.10/NR, I had travelled and hence TDR can not be done

                                When I contested the position and said that I never travelled and this is not factually corrrect and that
                                I had requested for cancelling the ticket at 5.30 pm on 8th August and that it is a clear example of either of duty negligence or of corruption of allocating my birth to somebody else without issuing a proper ticket to the other person & thus compromising on additional railways revenues to govt. of India that should have been collected from the passenger who was given birth and requested for a kind help as to what is the next step that is recommended by railways in such cases
                                I never got any response from Railways despite 4 reminder mails over last 2 months


                                Pl let me know on the next step please
                                Yeah...in such cases it becomes highly cumbersome to zero down and make the railways accountable
                                How can it be done without much of time wastage, pl guide as that will help a lot of people facing such issues

                                  Regarding the unruly behaviour of pantry car people

                                  This is one of the common man who think the complaint will be taken serious action ( atleast a warning will be issued to the proper person)

                                  I was travelling with my two kids 6 years old and 6 months old and my parents from Madura to thane by Ngerkol express. Train no: 6340.

                                  we booked II AC but only during the boarding we came to know that there are only III ac coaches.

                                  Respected Railway Minister,

                                  I am Govindraj from Mangalore, Karnataka. I have been traveling quite often between Mangalore-Bangalore-Mangalore by Train No.6518 & Train No.6517 of SWR. I useally try to book the tickets 15-20 days in advance. Surprisingly, all the time, the IRCTC site shows only WL status. I know of some touts, who get me e-ticket with additional amount of Rs.200/- and would get me a Berth. I am really wondering how that is possible if every thing is transparent?
                                  I also suspect the railway officials hand in glove in this act and earnestly request you to investigate and book the culprits, to hold the departments image high.

                                    I am N Srinivasa Rao, a resident of Visakhapatnam, in regular intervals i have to go to Railway station for a 5 - 30 minutes, the bike stand, operated by railway contractor, charged Rs.5/- per bike whatever the time that means, for 5 minutes i have to pay the same amount, and after 4 hours they charged another Rs.5/-, it counts like this for every 4 hours. In the same city the Road Transport Corporation Bike stand which 1 1/2 kms distance from railway station under State Govt. Bus service throughout the district and nearby districts they have charged only Rs.4/- for 12 hours. I want to tell you that, this city is not a metro, and comparing to other railway station in another cities it is very high, somewhere it is 2 or 3. I think the contractor and some rly officials together doing this type of loot from people, some agitations are also done by daily passengers and in daily news papers also it comes, but for some days, after that all are silent and the contractor enjoying his excess money with the help of some local rly officials. Please look into the matter and solve the people's problem. For your information this rly comes in East Coast Division.

                                      It has become difficult to get in to Lokshakti Express (Train No: 19144) from Borivali station because of passholders & updown passengers. Due to their groupism they threaten actual reserved ticket holders. They do not vacate seat till Boisar. Due to rush of these people pick pocketers take advantages.

                                      Request to railway to take immediate action against these people and don't allow them to travel in reserved coaches.

                                      Agreed, there is same problem of passholders from Baroda to Anand and anand to ahmedabad. They occupy seats from anand to Nadiad for thier so called pass families and inspite of possessing pass they say we are not eligible for free seat. I have to travel frequently standing all the time from baroda to Ahmedabad.
                                      Do not stop Lokshakti and flying queen trains in Palghar. Palghar passengers should be barred from traveling in the reserved coach. Palghar is of the public third class level. The people who do harassment. Lokshakti train, Mainly S3 and S2 Palghar passenger are dirty mind who harassment to public. Palghar's passenger slapped the reserved passenger. Lokshakti train should stay at Virar directly in Boisar. So far, many trains have been started for Palghar's passenger. The public is requested to shut down Palghar's public.

                                      Palgahr people is very very and very dirty and Third class. Why railway not stop them from travelling in Reserved compartment. S3 Lokshakti Passholder need block
