The person sitting at the reservation counter no. 2 at the extension counter at sector-2,salt lake,kolkata-64 gave a wrong information at 8:20 a.m on 12.10.2010 that there were no tatkal seats in sleeper class in train no. 2837(puri-howrah express). He said that the currebt status was 149(WL). but when i checked the internet at about 9:00 a.m still there were seats available. I found that this was done to aid the agencies for his own personal interest. Please look into the matter since the common people are getting harassed by such incidents.

Indian Railways — Tatkal Booking

Would like to send a straight note to all the railway ministers who generally say "aam admi" funda in giving anything to the society. Is there Aam Admi really. How cum then we yes we aam admi never get a ticket booking from our home internet from tatkal. 8:00 hrs and the site is down or pages get jammed and after 15 minutes when you see all the tickets are booked.... even if you try to go the counter and if you are first person then also you seem to deny this. Ministers (NO they dont know any thing else then retain their seat)-- rather the person who really work can you better check that why the tickets are given for booking all to the agents and why at 8:00 in the morning AAM ADMI if he tries never ever get a tatkal ticket over internet.... either stop tatkal tickets at all or give some felxibility to the home internet user. Every body is boosting of stopping buearcacy,the system itself gives birth to buearcracy. When we dont get the ticket we have to then search for other means spend more... then tell the minister to stop boasting the workds "AAM Admi". 5 days in advance was well and i suppose the quota was also good but then too the tatkal tickets we never got it.

Indian Railway — DISCREPANCIES IN E-TICKET

Dear Sir,
I have booked two nos. e-ticket from Indore to Mathura with journey date 15 march, thru INDORE TO AMRITSAR (WEEKLY).PNR. NO.[protected]
Departure time is 17:40
Arrival time is 8:05
Also booked return ticket for 16 March, thru Indore intercity express.PNR NO.:[protected]

Departure time is 00:40
Arrival time is 11.45.
Both ticket are booked by same id.
Now have a look please, I reached Mathura at 8:05 of 16 march thru Indore-Amritsar, but Indore intercity train has departured from Mathura at 00:40 hrs of 16 march, means 7.30 hrs before from my arriving time to mathura. Now please have a look, how can I availled this journey, How can it possible ? How the system accepted this booking ? please do the needful.

Indian Railways — Discrepancies at the train timing

As a daily Passenger I used to avail 241 UP AZIMGANJ - MALDA PASSENGER from Farakka to Malda regularly.The right time of the train to depart from Farakka is 18:05 hrs but sad to intimate you that in most of the days the train used to run late but most awful thing is that even if the train arrives to Farakka Station at the right time and tends to depart with stipulated time,the train has been intentionally held to allow a goods train to pass before the ready to depart train.
Under this situation it is really painful,distressful to all the passengers who use this train to return back to their destiny after day end.
kindly do the needful and deserve blessings from all daily passengers.

    Hi ,
    I am Rajeev.I travelled by the Trivandrum - Guwahati super fast express no 2515 to Chennai on[protected] . I had a reserved ticket and boarded the train from my boarding point in ernakulam , kerala .I noticed that there were a lot o[censored]nreserved people travelling by the train in the sleeper compartment and in my berth due to which i was not able rest well . I informed the TTE but he did not take notice of it.The train reached coimbatore station at 9:30pm and i informed the RPF in the station but to my great disappointment they just simply told that they cannot do anything in this regard and they cannot move the unreserved ticket people away from the reserved compartment.

    The whole night i could not sleep in my berth and also could not go to the rest room as unreserved ticket people were sitting all overthe berth and also on the floor.Even other reserved passengers had the same problem .

    If this is the action from the TTE and the RPF then i do not understand how the passengers can travel safely in the long distance trains and also why do we passengers have to book the ticket in advance in sleeper compartment when the passengers who are having just normal tickets also can board the sleeper compartments the whole night .

    I want strict action to be taken against the TTE and the Coimbatore RPF for not doing their duties.

    Many passengers experienced the problems and suffering due to this and were cursing the railways for lack of action from their side.Next day it was very tough to go to office also as we were not able to rest properly and had pains in the body.


    Hope the consumer complaints department take immediate action in this regard so that such incidents will be avoided in future

        Dear sir,

        i am satish mishra resides in khandwa i had travel from indore to ahmedabad at tatkal ticket .firstly i wake up early in the morning @ 5:00 a.m & move to railyway station got long que so i also be a part of it then collect my tatkal ticket @ 317 rs frm indore to ahmedabad ticket counter person asked my black & white zerox id proof and also see original one i show him xerox clour print ID prooof he can't identified this one is original or colour xerox .then in train a TC Come & asked for ticket i shown him same colour print ID proof he acceot it & no query after that i complete my journey .then after a platform exit TTE asked for my ID proof i Shown him same colour print ID proof but at that time he recignisied and told me that this is not a valid ID proof & changed me around 500 rupees .i told him that i always carried my original voter ID but my wallet theft by some one asfter that i do this & from 1 year i traveling frm this ID proof but no told me that this is invalid .how could i do .this jutice or railway do any thing about this type of non sense rules

          The Railway website does not have place to place a complaint.
          In the 2AC of the train 2509 Guwahati Express, Which started on 7th October 2010, The Bedsheets and the blankets which were provided were dirty and unwashed. This are part of the services which the railways promises to provide in AC coaches. Who is responsible for this? Definitely not mamata banarjee we know for sure.

            We had reservation ticket in Purvanchal Exp ( Train No- 5047, PNR-[protected]) on 02 oct '10 boarding from naihati to siwan.Train was scheduled to arrive at 3.24 pm.Intially the train was late 1.30 hrs.In naihati station it was announced that train will come at 5.00 pm.(Starting from kolkata 4.10 pm).It starts from kolkata at 4.10 pm .but at 4.10 pm there was sudden strike from some party at 4.10.(As announced by railways in naihati station).After some time (around 1 hour) railway announced at staion that 5047 purvanchal exp will be diverted via Dakshineswar,dankuni to bardhamman and People who have reservation from naihati and bandel can catch the train in Bardhamman.All the people starts moving and they fianlly reached to bardhamman ( it is very painfull journey because all people have very much luaggage.this is truth).Drama from railways not yet finished.After reaching to bardmman we found that train was gone before half an hour.So all the people angrly step towards station master of bardhmman.Station master told us i talk to Asansol division station master.they will hold up the train untill you reach there.Again we go to Asansol by a exp train.(just came at that time-i.e- Agneeveena exp).Same case will happen in Asansol means we found that train was gone.You can realise that what the situaion we had faced because the we are 200 km far from our home the time was around 10 o'clock at night.We are no where.We had with my old parents.Around 200 people suffered that night.
            13.08.11, time 09.15AM presently i m traveling with south bihar exp., i have reservation from raipur to raigarh, my seat no is 62 in s7, i am presently facing a painful journy due to some people those who have not reserve the ticket. Here only the people are not responsible for this inconvenience the railawy TT cut a lougge ticket and allow people to seat in reservation coach. I here by complin railwy to stop allowing of non reserve people to reservation coach.

              I HAVE BOOKED MY MOTORCYCLE BY SELF BOOKING ON 03-OCT-10. AS I HAD RESERVATION FROM Hazrat Nzamuddin TO khajuraho 2448 UP SAMPARK KRANTI WITH PNR NO[protected] , LUGGAGE TICKET NO 057072 DATED 03 OCT 2010 FOR THE BOOKING OF MOTORCYCLE HERO HONDA SUPER SPLENDOR.

              Till now i have not received my motorcycle. I have contacted at Mahoba Station, they are tellling that parcel has moved to manikpur station, in due process it will come to mahoba station and then will send to khajuraho.
              Then contacted to Jhansi Commercial Control, Mr. S.K sharma, he is also telling that, he has already conveyed to manikpur staion parcel, but no response. At khajuraho station, SM is showing no response.
              please look after this matter.

              hello sir,

              i have planed to move my motor cycle from tpj to nzm through rail. i booked the parcel on 28.09.2011 at trichy (tpj). till date i did not get my motor cycle.it is very bad situation for me because i am in delhi (mayur vihar -iii).every time i will going to nzm and collect the status of my bike.
              finally someone(railway pacel enquiry person) helped me.he was trace my bike location.now that is ERODE but my booking staion was NZM.
              VERY VERY BAD TPJ (TRICHY) parcel office.

              Do you know all the public offices(railway, rto, hospitals, schools ..ect) are only for public service but even a sinle person did not acknowledge that

                Sir ,
                i am an army officer and am writing WITH THE HOPE that you will be able to get passengers some respite from the complete dismal service of the railways.
                today my mi.i.law.along with two other ladies travelled to chennai by the lucknow chennai express. they are 70 plus years ladies.
                firstly they all got UPPER berths...
                why is it that when their age is filled in the form and given clearly they are alloted these upper berths which they just CANNOT get on to??
                is'nt it sheer common sense to allot senior citizens lower berths??

                Secondly the AC coach they are travelling by was completely and unbearbly dirty, filled with cockroaches and even rats running around how are they to travel two nights n days in such deplorable conditions?? even the blankets had cockroaches all over. the bathrooms had not been cleaned .

                So much is being paid for travelling in an AC coach. Even basic cleaning is not being done by the staff? why are they being paid their salaries then??

                i asked for the Complaint Book from the TT but he too just did not respond . i kept requesting but Finally the train departed and we could do NOTHING .
                where does one go? who does one complain to? what does a man do??
                it is so so frustrating for a passenger to repeatedly face all this again n again.
                is there no hope at all??
                i request you to please ensure strict action is taken against the errant staff and atleast basic cleanliness n hygiene levels ensured in all coaches.

                  Both side i.e. east and west of parking is the most expensive parking on Harbour line. Complete area of parking is used by contractor, their is no space for free parking. In the night there is no illumination. It is kindly request

                    I have booked a e-ticket from nagpur to pune in Azadhind Exp. My travel date was 12th sept 2010. Its PNR no. is [protected]. Train was running late by 8 hrs. As the chart was prepared and the counters in nagpur railway station were closed, i filed the TDR. In this case i should get full refund as per railways refund policy but i have got only Rs. 166 which is 50% of the total fare.                     Indian Railway — non cancellation of ticket due to late train,

                    I was book a ticket vide PNR no.[protected] and on the journy date the train is late. I just want to cancilled the ticket and refund my balance after the deduction as per nors. But in spite of several efforts i`m not able to cancille the above ticket online. The cause is thath"The chart was prepared for this ticket you can not cancel this ticket." At the time of report the train is not arrived. So please give me more instruction for the refund after cancillation.

                    This is to inform you that As I was travelling by VenGanga Korba Yeshvantpur Spcl on 18th of Oct from Bilapur to Bangalore, the train went late for about more than 8 hours.

                    Can anyone let me know who is responsible for this cause,As i Consider Railway Departments responsible.

                    Passenger were left with no other choice rather than sitting and waiting ! And please let me know who will pay for wasted Extra 8 hrs to passengers

                    I BOOKED A TICKET ON 6-12-10 BY TRAIN NO.6724 (ANANTHAPURI EXPRESS) FROM TRV TO MAA IN THE NAME OF MY SON T.MUTHURAMAN.THE TRAIN WAS CANCELLED DUE TO FLOODING OF TRACKS NEAR NAGERCOIL .I FILED A TDR ON[protected], BUT TILL NOW I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REFUND MONEY.

                    IT IS GOING TO BE ALMOST 5 MONTHS SINCE THE TRAIN WAS CANCELLED & I HAVE FILED A TDR THEN ITSELF. BUT STILL I HAVE NOT GOT MY FULL REFUND OR ANY REPLY FROM THE RAILWAYS.. IF I DO NOT GET MY REFUND OR REPLY I MAY BE FORCED TO LODGE A COMPLAINT WITH THE HIGHER AUTHORITHIES.

                    We have booked 2 birth in 4120-DDN KGM Express in AC-2 through Travel agent Reliance Business Centre DDN to travel from Dehradun to Kathgodam. we have confirm ticket to travel on 19.09.2010. PNR NO [protected] & Transaction ID [protected] .Total amount paid Rs.1213/- .
                    Due to unpreceedented rain in & around dehradun the said train was cancelled from Dehradun on 19.09.2010.Travel Agent send application to refund the same as train was cancelled & send 7-8 reminders since then but Refund is still awited.I hope higher authorities will look into the matter & refund me full amount at the earlist through travel agent.Kindly acknowledge.

                      93005) ,S 6 SEAT NO 3 PNR NO.[protected] DATED 23-24 SEPTEMBER 2010.IN THE MIDNIGHT SOMEONE STOLEN HER HANDBAG CONTAINING JWELARY,MOBILE AND MONEY WHICH SHE COME TO KNOW AT 2:00 AM.AT THE SAME POINT OF TIME A BOY SEARCH FOR RAILWAY.ALL THE SLEAPER CLASS OF THE TRAIN AND FIND NO RPF OR EVEN TTE IN TRAIN.
                      IN THE MORNING THEY COME TO KNOW THAT 3 OTHER PERSON ALSO LOST THEIR BELONGING.

                      KINDLY LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND TRY TO FIND OUT THE ONDUTY RPF AND TTE AND TRY NOT TO MAKE IT A REGULAR PHENONENON.

                      sir, Im Dileep Chakravarthy, working in Indian Air force, chandigarh. Sir on 29 may 2011 at 1220 pm 12807 samatha express reached to Gwalior Railway station. I recharged 100 rs to my docomo number in a STD booth in the platform, my number is also in his records([protected]). bt recharge was not done by him actually, he cheated me and not only me i think so. plz take action on him and plz ensure my 100 rs is to be returned.

                        I TRAVALLED BY TRAIN NO 7031 FROM CSTMUMBAI TO HYDERABAD IN BOGIE NO S-3 - WAGON NO.SCO3209 WITH MY PNR NO [protected] on 20.09.2010 berth no 44 and 45- I would like to state that the berth's cushion is completely gone in this bogie and all the berths have become bucket like sleeping portion, I dont think any one can sleep comfortably on these berths I request all the concerned staff of south central railway to CHECK the long distance train bogies before alllowing them to run. - SANTOSH MAHA - cell [protected]

                          Sir,
                          Due to Maoist attack threat Indian railway diverted the route o[censored]tkal kalinga express (8477,8478). Train is now skeeping KGP, TATA and no of other stations but still they show availability on websites as well as tickets are being issue at reservation counters. I took the ticket from Bangalore counter and when after knowing from my friend about the diversion fact i went to cancel the ticket, i had to pay cancellation charges consequently which is just a kind of fraudulence.
                          If train is not running from that station how come they issue the ticket to the passenger, if given why are the deducting cancellation charges? they have not updated their database for this change and this is not a 2-10 days change its being in effect from last few months. trains are not being departured from TATA to KGP and vice versa in night after 8PM.
                          When the trains are diverted the tickets must have been auto cancelled and the same should have been informed.

                            Hello Sir/Madam,
                            I am feeling ashamed while writing this complaint letter to you. Sir, i am
                            the B.tech final year student studying in Andhra Pradesh.Sir, i was
                            traveling from source named 'kacheguda' to destination named 'mahabubnagar' on[protected]sunday).
                            i was having *seasonal ticket no-"[protected]" I.D.card no:-"605L9WC2WB" I.D.
                            card Ticket no.:-"86121758"* and there was no space in the passenger coach
                            so i was not able to get into the train then i asked one of the
                            constable(R.A.F), then he asked me to get into reservation coach 'S1' and
                            within few seconds train departed thereafter one more R.A.F constable
                            entered with one T.T that too without batch so i wasn't able to note his
                            name but i know that constable name and that is " *E. Shiva Putra*" and when
                            i explained him the reason of getting into the reservation coach he started
                            using abusive words and threatened me to throw from the train and there
                            after he asked my native place name i told him that i am not from this state
                            and i am from U.P. so he started saying wrong words regarding state
                            discrimination in the presence of that RAF constable.

                            Sir, this incident is not just the discrimination related but also
                            corruption he took Rs.100 from me and didn't give me any slip and after that
                            the RAF constable forced us to go to SLR (luggage) coach.Sir that* TT fined
                            one of the co passenger of mine i noted that slip no. which is "223839" *that
                            will help in identification of that T.T. The train was *Banglore
                            Express"2785" *departing time 1950hrs from kacheguda.Thereafter we tried to
                            make compliant at MBNR station then no one was supporting me they just gave
                            me this email address.Sir with one intention and hope i am writing this
                            letter to you. Please, consider my letter and take appropriate step because
                            this is the ultimate thing that i can do as none of the staff member was
                            supporting and no body was ready to write the complaint.Sir, please do take
                            some serious action and please inform me the same.

                            In brief My complaints are:
                            *1. T.T without batch.
                            2. Use of abusive words and dirty language.
                            3.State Discrimination
                            4. Threaten to throw out of the running train.
                            5. Corruption(Charged Rs.100 without slip)
                            6. Involvement of R.A.F constable.*

I & my family were coming from sri ganganagar dt.27.9.2010 on delhi dainik express. we purchased tickets for giddarbaha for aforesaid train but the b/clerk issued the tickets of oridinary even I paid mail charges .when a TT, Idont know his name.firt of all he insulted us in the gathering of crowd at even at rly.stn .giddarbaha &mis-rudely behaved .And charged vide R.no.658889 dt.27.9.2010 for rs.560/-.kindly look the matter and do need ful.because ido not bother extra charges paid the behaviour of the Railway must be politely.

                              I was travelling by Taj Express on 19 Sep 2010 from Jhansi to Delhi. I found very pathetic condtion of AC chair car coach it was not properly cleaned. althogh seats were comfortable but on the seat legs anyone can find dust which was covering legs of seat like it is painted. Water bottel holder or holder on seats was in very poor and torny condition and was very very dirty. Liver of seats were not working properly.

                              So please look into this matter.

                                why always train late . plz do something against it...........
                                We ( myself, my wife and my two kids) are having confirmed reservations in AC II Tier in 01058 MFF-LTT special trains for 17.06.2011 ie today. The schedule departurev of train is 0725 hrs, however there was no information regarding departure of train at Muzaffarpur station till 0700 hrs. There was no announcement on public address systems regrding depature of train nor there was any information on the display boardh When asked at the enquiry counter, the person manning at the counter bluntly told that the concerned up train 01057 has just arrived and hence it will take at least 6-9 hours for getting the train washed. After that only, 01058 will depart.

                                Even npow at 0950 hrs there is no confirmed announcement about the deaprture of the train. When I inquired the same with Station Master, he also informed that the train will take at least 6-9 hours.ait at the platforms of Muzaffarpur as station is extremely croweded and filled up with filth all around. It is stinking very badly also.Even waiting rooms are also stinking. Very few fans are there on the platform and passengers have to bear the hot and humid weather condition.

                                The quality of announcement is very poor and the person manning the counter seems to be untrained.

                                It is extrememely disgusting that after paying so much fares, the bonafide passengrs are treated like this. The least railway can do is to in form the passengers the fact and express sorry for that.

                                I request the cincerned authorities to please look into the matter and arrange to start the train at the earliest.

                                  1. It is highly appreciated that myself and my family has travelled in 2 AC instead of 3 AC (originally booked) in train no. 2615 GT Exp from Chennai to Jhansi on 10 Sep 2010 (Refer PNR #[protected] due to up-gradation scheme.

                                  2. In the same time we have also seen the worst 'CATERING SERVICE' provided by RK Catering, New Delhi. We are very surprised to see such a bad service in a super fast express connecting both the metros. Mr Dharmender Singh has served the food and confirmed that the quality of food (Rice and Dal) can not be changed by them and it is in the knowledge of higher authorities.

                                  3. The general cleaning done inside the AC compartments by the railway staff is also not up to the mark.

                                  4. It is requested to look into the matter and take appropriate steps to improve the catering service and also the general cleaning in the AC coaches of super fast trains. Low quality of food may spoil the health of the customers to whome you serve with smile.

                                    I have a complaint regarding parking at Panvel Station on New Panvel east side.
                                    This parking is the most expensive parking on Harbour line.
                                    Inspite of this the parking is not leveled.
                                    Entry and exit for parking is not guarded, any one can walk in and out of the parking.
                                    In the night there is no illumination.

                                    In fact road to the station bridge is through the parking only. Entry and exit for parking , is same for commuters, autorickshaw and private vehicals.

                                    It is very difficult to negotiate all these coming and going through the narrow lane to the station.
                                    Very often people walk with luggage and elderly people as well as the entrance to the only FOB goes through the parking lot.

                                    Auto rickshaw stand is outside parking and the bridge can not be accessed without going through the parking lot.

                                    The parking lot is with pot holes, uneven rough surface covered with single khadi (stone ) with no illumination and without any security. No wonder there are many complaints of two wheeler thefts from the parking and it is believed the local railway authorities are well aware of the problems.

                                    May I request you to look in to the matter and do something to make life easy for both the commuters and people using the parking lot.

                                        I went to Railway Station on 8.9.2010, for booking of tickets. I took 2 filled up forms, & booked the tickets. After that I saw a single Blank form for reservation was left. Therefore, I asked the Employee for giving one more form. But he Refused to give that. He said, No forms would be given. I just want to ask, what's the point of not giving the form, as Forms are free, & further Railway earns from those forms, as those contains, Advertisements of various Companies.
                                        When I asked the employee he Queried about the requirement. I told him that, next time I will come to Railway Station with a filled up form. Then, he said you have to come & fill the form, here only.
                                        I want to know, what if a person don't know to fill the form, will those Employees will help him.

                                        I just want that, some action should be taken against those type of Employees, who just dont want to co-operate with common people. They would fully co-operate with a Agent or a person who will give commission to them.
