    Indian Railway — misguidence from reservation centre payyannoor

    there are 36 sets available in 2617 Mangala express on 27th feb09. but today morning my father went to purchase a ticket for Delhi on 27th of this month they said 9from payyannoor reservation centre ) ticket is not available today its in WL 43 so u can come and take TATKAL OF 22nd. So they did not provide the ticket for him today.. so what we should do now? Waste money unnecessarily?

      Dear Sir,

      I travelled in Rajkot express 7018 from Secunderabad to Pune on 25th Oct 2010 in Third AC - B1. Conductor who gives blankets and pillows tried to misbehave with me when I was getting down at Pune at 1.45 am. All other passengers were sleeping and I was the only one passenger getting down at that station from that compartment. He really tried to come close and touch but I understood his moves and threatened him of a complaint to Railway police immediately once I get down. Please issue a warning against that person and unfortulately I didn't try to find out his name and he wasn't wearing the name badge too. Let this not happen to other girls who can't even shout at Men.

      Indian Railways — Misbehavious in Ladies Compartments by Mens

      I would like to draw the kind attention of our Honble Railway Ministers Ms Mamta Banerjee, that in EMU trains from Delhi to Aligarh, Dankaur the mens travels in the Ladies Compartments, which are only two bogies in the train, and they misbehave with the daily working ladies and Govt. Teachers who travels from daily from delhi to Gautambudh Nagar, Bulandshahar areas for their Jobs. Even if somebody stops them they start fighting and they don't hesitate to beat that person. So I would like to request our Honble Railway Minister that as she is also a lady, she should take necessary actions for the safety of ladies travelling in EMU Trains to do their jobs. First their should be more bogies of ladies compartments and also some Railway policemens should travel in that bogies to ensure that no mens can travel in that bogies and misbehave with the ladies. As my sister is also travelling daily from Delhi to Dankaur (Gautam Budh Nagar Distt) for Teaching in a Govt. Primary school, but she face a lot of difficulty like harrasment and misbehaviour by the local mens travelling specially in the ladies bogies to misbehave with the ladies.

      You are requested to kindly take some urgent action regarding the same. Hoping for an urgent action, so that all ladies travelling from delhi to village areas for their jobs could travel comfortably and main thing safely.

        Hi,

        Myself Anupam Mandal, employee of one of the private company , posted at Navi Mumbai. I have booked first class season ticket and have shown my PAN card as identity proof and from counter they mention PAN card number on ticket pass. Unfortunately I have lost my PAN card on same day. Next day TC has been checked and ask me to show my PAN card, I have shown photo copy of PAN card and snap shot of the card from mobile, and told him " my card has been lost". Then he told me for the day I am realesing you, but next time if I will cath then u will be fined.

        Then I have asked the TC for suggestion means what should I do for this issue.

        He told me just thow the pass and take a new pass, when I ahve taken just on yesterday.Then I have visited Cheif Booking Supervisor at Vashi, he told me the same when I have told them please consider for 15 days for reissue of PAN or issue a ID proof after verify my PAN card copy , snap shot of copy, or original Voter ID , Passport etc. They simply said , " you have to take new ticket".

        Now my question is this, when they are very much sure I am the same guy who is having genuine ticket and I can show other proof instead of PAN card, then why they are not accepting.

        This is the lack of policy of railways or something else.

        Could you please confirm me , is there any rule " you have to show your original copy everytime".

        So I am requesting to concern authority , please look in to this matter with proper attention.

          My Recent Experience with Indian Railway...Read On...
          Hey Guys. You might think that Indian Railway has improved its quality of food as u can see Lipton tea kiosks on railway stations along with other tea stalls but do you really think they have improved their quality. Read this and let me know i[censored] still think that...
          I was on my way to home.I had to board the train at Ludhiana railway station. At Ludhiana railway station, i decided to take tea. I had two options, one was to purchase tea from a tea stall and the other was to purchase it from a Lipton kiosk. I looked at the Lipton Kiosk, it was clean, no flies and 20 Liter Bisleri Bottle was placed on the Machine for water supply. I thot its gonna work so i decided to go for Lipton.
          After the shopkeeper gave me tea, the 20 Liter Bisleri bottle(The bottle placed above the tea machine that is used for supplying water to the machine for preparing tea) became empty. I thot the shopkeeper will replace it with a fresh bottle of Bisleri, but what i saw, i was completely shocked.
          He didn't replaced it with a fresh Bisleri bottle.
          He didn't even filled it from the Railway Station Drinking Water supply.
          He went in between the railway tracks and filled that bottle from the water supply, the same water supply that is used for filling water to the train coaches for toilet and wash purpose and the water that is declared unsuitable for drinking purpose by railway authorities.
          He did it just bcoz filling it from a drinking water supply may take a little more time as water from there flows slowly but water for coach supply flows very fast so it takes only 30 seconds to fill the whole bottle.
          I was completely shocked to see that.
          Guys Plz avoid eating open food at railway stations coz u hav no idea how that stuff is prepared.

          I traveled to Bangalore from Nizamuddin by train no 2650 in coach no S-5 on 22nd Sep and returned from Bangalore to Nizamuddin by the same train no 2649 in coach S-8. I took my lunch as well as dinner from the pantry and it was served by the Roop Caterers. The quality of food was average when I was traveling from Nizamuddin to Bangalore but it was worst when I was coming from Bangalore to Nizamuddin.Passenger were charged Rs 35 for veg meals but proper quantity of food was not served to them. No body was given water, curd and pickles. Everybody including me was served with less quantity of rice, vegetable and roti. I complained to pantry manager but he said he could not get this thing from the supplier today and the same answer was given when I was coming back while I found their waiter were selling curd at Rs 6 per cup and pickles at Rs 3 to some passenger on demand. As the passengers are paying right price for the food, the same should be served to the passengers.

            Railway Ticket — refund not yet received

            I have not received the refund amount yet, of my train booking through the site irctc.com. The transaction failed while booking ticket 3 times and the money has not been refunded to the account.                 We are travellling by train no 5902-Dibrugarh Yesvantpur weeklly express, AC2. There are several lack in an AC Coach we found.
                1) No electrical pug point for which we r facing problem to charge mobile/laptop.
                2) Curtains are dirty like slum areas curtain. Cant even touch those curtains with hand, everytime we need to wash our hands with soap.
                3) Some of the curtains rods falling automaticallly , once it injure 2 passenger by falling on them. My 7year kid aslo got injured during her climb on upper bearth.
                4) One place I saw some instruction to write complain if any on the register provided with the raiway guard, but unfortunetly I m trying to locate that useless fellow the guard ...havent seen him from till i entred the train.
                5) Pestcontroll deptt. Is required in service as there are many rats and cockroches we ovserved running under our seats and trying to get our foods. Wakkkkssss so dirty this train.

                  I was travelling by train named:Corbet PRK Link/5014A ,dated:14/10/2010.PNR NO:[protected].At the time of travelling my reservation status was RAC S7-39.So after some time after leaving Kashipur, the TTE reached to check the berth,and on that time I requested him to allot a seat if there is any vacant seat but he told me that all seats are already filled up.

                  But after some moment he alloted seat no 27 of boggy no-S7 to another guy with cutting a fine.

                  So my complain against the TTE :
                  He alloted a set to a person even who was not carrying even a reserved ticket.
                  I requested him to show his ID card then he shouted at me and told without his boss he is not bound to show his ID card.
                  He told me that his name is Satish Chandra not bound to show me the ID Card at all and even threaten me that I could complain anywhere though the compalin book was not availabe at anywhere nither to the TTE of AC coach nor the guard in the train.

                  So my request to you to take necessary action to resolve the issue and take action against the TTE to make our journey more amicable.

                  I sawan kr. was traveling from Varanasi to New Delhi with my friends.When i was going to my seat two persons wear already there.I asked TTE about the seat she told me, the seat was already booked.When i asked why & i told her please gave me written clarification.Because they charged extra money. Then She & TTE Mr.J.P.Singh & two gundas ware slap our faces & kicks & gave us some punches & told us if i would complained police, they will throw us out up train & killed us.So what can we expect Indian rail.We needs your help.Train no-2559/SHIV GANGA EXP.                   Indianrail — regarding seat allocation

                  Respected sir/Ma'm
                  I am frequent traveller in vikramshila express numbered 2367 up and 2368 down.On 28th may I did reservation from Rewari station in Tatkal for me and my family and I got side middle and side upper birth.In that moment 121 seats are still available.Instead of my choice I got the most uncomfotable seats.Again I did the reservation using IRCTC for returning once again I got SU and SM seats.
                  For a person who is 6 Feet tall and heavy built this seats are very much tiny and very congested and in summer season no air.
                  So it is most uncomfortable journey coming in my way.Goverment is always formed by people and people is finding all the hiccups even they pay all the charges and all our leaders will get VVIP treatment.Is this discripency wll continued in this era too or will the goverment work for us.I am straight forworword asking the questions why this kind of humiliating experience has to pass to us.
                  If the action has not been taken than only one way remain for us to go to judiciary and register our difficulty.
                  So please pay attention to my complain and rectify as soon as it possible.

                  Indianrail — complaint regarding seat booking

                  We have booked 3 tickets in Train No.1042 ( from Renigunta to Pune) for 8th March'2010 and our PNR No. was [protected]. We got Waiting List 4,5,6 status at the time of booking which could not got confirmed till the chart got prepared. It was RAC status. So we were alloted 1 seat and another half seat which we have to share with another two passenger & in 1 seat was shared among 3 passengers. It was so diffucult to sit on the Side lower seat for 3 people. When we asked the T.T. he answered very rudely that it is a rule that 3 persons will sit on side lower seat till 10:00 p.m. We asked him to give us the Complaint book but he refused. Just want to know when we are paying the same amount then why we have to face this problem. I fail to understand that how 3 persons can sit on 1 seat. The name of the T.T. was Mr. S.N. Pillai. Is this the you are giving facility to the passengers. Kindly look into this matter and inform me.

                  In East Central Railway in Samastipur division there is a TTE Mr. Nemtullah. He misuses his authority. He adjusts seats to those passengers who has no valid tickets to even those seats on which the passengers are already seated.In fact Nemtullah runs such racket to carry passengers for only his own money making.

                  Please check his such nefarious activities so my kind of people will not suffer by his persons.
                  I was traveled in GUWAHATI EXP - 12515 yesterday(04/09/2011) night from coimbatore to chennai central. I reserved my ticket and got seat number S5-49. But in that train, ticket verification not happened and lot many unreserved people's are occupied to all seats. TTR was not cleared that crowed from the reserved coach and didnt take any action on that. Reserved coach look likes unreserved coach. I was very much disturbed by that people and didnt sleep well. Please take necessary action to avoid that.

                    Hi, I Booked a ticket online On:[protected], with PNR [protected], Transaction ID: [protected] for Date Of Journey: 15/7/2010 in Train No: 2506, Nort East Express from delhi to patna in 3AC for me and my wife.

                    The train was delayed by more than 9 hrs so i called irctc customer care to know canecellation process as i cancelled my journey by this train and booked another ticket by rajdhani (PNR :[protected]). I filed a TDR for cancelled ticket on 19th July as per the TDR rule which says i can file TDR within 90 days.

                    Accoreding to the cancellation terms and conditions i should get full refund of the ticket if train runs late more than 3 hrs. But I receivd only 50% refund. I called up IRCTC and sent reminder mails several times about refund of the remaining amount. But everybody in this government organisation seems to be sleeping. Yet after 90 days of the due date , refund of the remaining amount has not been processed. I dont know whom to complain about this as there is no effective complaints reddressal department in railway.

The status of the ticket was remained waiting list after chart prepared. It is not refunded automatically till date following the provision of IRCTC regulation.

                    Hello,
                    i had tried to book a single e-ticket on 10.03.2012 from bangalore to coimbatore
                    date of journey being 11.03.2012.The amount was deducted from my bank
                    a/c with SBI but due to some problem webpage was lost before getting ticket details.there is no
                    entry in Booked-tickets. What is the status of my payment? what should i do? Please reply.

                      Dear Sir,

                      Here I want to give problems with Special trains in the ocassion of holidays. when any festivals comes railways will put special to catch the crowd. But those trains run like hell. No one will give information about when that train starts and when it reaches to destination. Special train will be stopped in each and every station for hours. There is no time limit. Railways are playing with time and money of the passengers.

                      Incident: my brother started in special train(0745) from Howrah to Hyderabad. actual running time of train is 30 hours. but still train is running for a late of 7 hours. railway even don't know when that train will reach to Hyderabad. Ticket PNR no:[protected].
                      In every station the train is stopped for hours unnessarly. if railway are not capable of running the special trains, they should not put those trains. It is really injustice to people's money and time.

                      The same has happen to me when i travelled in Vizag and Kakinada special trains.

                      please put a complaint on this issue.

                        Through this portal, I wish to bring to your notice that brokers are openly luring passengers for selling confirmed railway tickets at a premium (e.g. a Shatabdi Express confirmed ticket to Mumbai was offered to me @ Rs.950) inside the resevation building at Surat Railway Station by these crooks.

                        For you to enable to conduct a mystery shoping please find a detail of one of the person of the group who crowd there inside the building near the counters without any restriction & pitch a confirm booked ticket to every passenger who walks-in.

                        The one of the person name is Deepakbhai his mobile number is: [protected]

                        I request you to kindly eleminte this nuisance reservation building or to be precise should be barred from entrying the station premise.

                        An immediate & absolute elimination of this menace is urgently sought so that innocent passengers are saved from falling in the pray ot these crooks who are running a parallel reservation counters right under the eye of reservation authorities & one can not believe that authorities are not aware about these crroks in there premise.

                        Dear Sir, i tell you something, yesterday i went to go Athwa Lines railway reservation counter for tatkal tickets from Surat to Indore by Avantika Express dt 16.02.12, there i saw at 4:00 am 20-22 boys sleeping outside railway reservation office (the boys were all agent) at 6:00 am brokers can be any everyone would arise, after that at 7:30 railway reservation officer comes, RPF constable come & shake with brokers after that brokers & railway person go way back in railway reservation office, 7:45 reservation office open & only broker are the people in by RPF constable, & we are go inside at 8:00 am, after that brokers boys in first line & taking tatkal tickets without identity proof, & railway officer take 2-3 forms of broker boys, and all the watching policeman. Railway office 8:30 given tatkal tickets to brokers only after that I take tickets 2 confirm & 1 waiting. I want to say please see here & please do necessary action. Imran[protected]

                          I faced alot of problum during my journy form ahmedabad to mathura. really i came to know how TTE create problum to educated citizens.

                          -TTE were drunk completly.
                          -Taken money 800/- for reciept but not given reciept.
                          -i asked for reciept then he is ready to fight and ticket fad di and ID prof PAN CARDS discarded out of train.
                          -Complain book bhi nahi de.
                          -Abuse us like any thing even i was with my wife and try to get me arrested by GRP at RATLAM Station but he could not get sucess with his plan due to interference of public.
                          -muje pantry super wiser (ravi sankar) ke sath mill kar peeta.

                          Drunk TTE — Drunk TTE

                          I happen to travel recently in train no 6222, Mysore Exp from Chennai to Bangalore. To my surprise, 3 of the 4 TTEs whom I met were drunk. Literally one can smell alcohol in their breath. They were least helpful to the passengers who were in need of help. If railways ignore such employes, its bad day ahead for Indian public in general. Why cannot Railway conduct surprise check on its own employees. Even there are instances were RPF security is caught under the influence of alcohol. Hope some action would be taken against TTEs who drink on duty.

                            Dear Sir,

                            I have been using IRCTC Internet Booking for quite some time. IRCTC has recently de-activated my User-ID for the wrong reason, stating that the wrong TDR has been filed by me. I explained to them that I have filed the TDR for the valid reason as per the Railway rules, i.e. not travelling on the ticket. Amount involved is half of the ticket value of Rs.169/- from Kota to Udaipur (i.e. 50% of ticket value), i.e Rs.84/50 for which there is no reason of wrong or false claim to be submitted by me. Still I could not get my User-ID re-activated. Also, I asked them to investigate the facts of
                            - allowing some other passenger either by impersonating me
                            or
                            - allowing another passenger to travel on the vacant seat by the ticket checking staff, but marking the sheet with my presence on the train without ascertaining the proper ticket and identity proofs.

                            Can you please guide me where can I take it further to resolve, as I can't bear the false allegation put up by the IRCTC / Railways and want the same User-ID re-activated.

                              The person sitting at the reservation counter no. 2 at the extension counter at sector-2,salt lake,kolkata-64 gave a wrong information at 8:20 a.m on 12.10.2010 that there were no tatkal seats in sleeper class in train no. 2837(puri-howrah express). He said that the currebt status was 149(WL). but when i checked the internet at about 9:00 a.m still there were seats available. I found that this was done to aid the agencies for his own personal interest. Please look into the matter since the common people are getting harassed by such incidents.

                              Indian Railways — Tatkal Booking

                              Would like to send a straight note to all the railway ministers who generally say "aam admi" funda in giving anything to the society. Is there Aam Admi really. How cum then we yes we aam admi never get a ticket booking from our home internet from tatkal. 8:00 hrs and the site is down or pages get jammed and after 15 minutes when you see all the tickets are booked.... even if you try to go the counter and if you are first person then also you seem to deny this. Ministers (NO they dont know any thing else then retain their seat)-- rather the person who really work can you better check that why the tickets are given for booking all to the agents and why at 8:00 in the morning AAM ADMI if he tries never ever get a tatkal ticket over internet.... either stop tatkal tickets at all or give some felxibility to the home internet user. Every body is boosting of stopping buearcacy,the system itself gives birth to buearcracy. When we dont get the ticket we have to then search for other means spend more... then tell the minister to stop boasting the workds "AAM Admi". 5 days in advance was well and i suppose the quota was also good but then too the tatkal tickets we never got it.

                              Indian Railway — DISCREPANCIES IN E-TICKET

                              Dear Sir,
                              I have booked two nos. e-ticket from Indore to Mathura with journey date 15 march, thru INDORE TO AMRITSAR (WEEKLY).PNR. NO.[protected]
                              Departure time is 17:40
                              Arrival time is 8:05
                              Also booked return ticket for 16 March, thru Indore intercity express.PNR NO.:[protected]

                              Departure time is 00:40
                              Arrival time is 11.45.
                              Both ticket are booked by same id.
                              Now have a look please, I reached Mathura at 8:05 of 16 march thru Indore-Amritsar, but Indore intercity train has departured from Mathura at 00:40 hrs of 16 march, means 7.30 hrs before from my arriving time to mathura. Now please have a look, how can I availled this journey, How can it possible ? How the system accepted this booking ? please do the needful.

                              Indian Railways — Discrepancies at the train timing

                              As a daily Passenger I used to avail 241 UP AZIMGANJ - MALDA PASSENGER from Farakka to Malda regularly.The right time of the train to depart from Farakka is 18:05 hrs but sad to intimate you that in most of the days the train used to run late but most awful thing is that even if the train arrives to Farakka Station at the right time and tends to depart with stipulated time,the train has been intentionally held to allow a goods train to pass before the ready to depart train.
                              Under this situation it is really painful,distressful to all the passengers who use this train to return back to their destiny after day end.
                              kindly do the needful and deserve blessings from all daily passengers.

                                I am Rajeev.I travelled by the Trivandrum - Guwahati super fast express no 2515 to Chennai on[protected] . I had a reserved ticket and boarded the train from my boarding point in ernakulam , kerala .I noticed that there were a lot o[censored]nreserved people travelling by the train in the sleeper compartment and in my berth due to which i was not able rest well . I informed the TTE but he did not take notice of it.The train reached coimbatore station at 9:30pm and i informed the RPF in the station but to my great disappointment they just simply told that they cannot do anything in this regard and they cannot move the unreserved ticket people away from the reserved compartment.

                                The whole night i could not sleep in my berth and also could not go to the rest room as unreserved ticket people were sitting all overthe berth and also on the floor.Even other reserved passengers had the same problem .

                                If this is the action from the TTE and the RPF then i do not understand how the passengers can travel safely in the long distance trains and also why do we passengers have to book the ticket in advance in sleeper compartment when the passengers who are having just normal tickets also can board the sleeper compartments the whole night .

                                I want strict action to be taken against the TTE and the Coimbatore RPF for not doing their duties.

                                Many passengers experienced the problems and suffering due to this and were cursing the railways for lack of action from their side.Next day it was very tough to go to office also as we were not able to rest properly and had pains in the body.


                                Hope the consumer complaints department take immediate action in this regard so that such incidents will be avoided in future

                                    i am satish mishra resides in khandwa i had travel from indore to ahmedabad at tatkal ticket .firstly i wake up early in the morning @ 5:00 a.m & move to railyway station got long que so i also be a part of it then collect my tatkal ticket @ 317 rs frm indore to ahmedabad ticket counter person asked my black & white zerox id proof and also see original one i show him xerox clour print ID prooof he can't identified this one is original or colour xerox .then in train a TC Come & asked for ticket i shown him same colour print ID proof he acceot it & no query after that i complete my journey .then after a platform exit TTE asked for my ID proof i Shown him same colour print ID proof but at that time he recignisied and told me that this is not a valid ID proof & changed me around 500 rupees .i told him that i always carried my original voter ID but my wallet theft by some one asfter that i do this & from 1 year i traveling frm this ID proof but no told me that this is invalid .how could i do .this jutice or railway do any thing about this type of non sense rules

                                      The Railway website does not have place to place a complaint.
                                      In the 2AC of the train 2509 Guwahati Express, Which started on 7th October 2010, The Bedsheets and the blankets which were provided were dirty and unwashed. This are part of the services which the railways promises to provide in AC coaches. Who is responsible for this? Definitely not mamata banarjee we know for sure.

                                        We had reservation ticket in Purvanchal Exp ( Train No- 5047, PNR-[protected]) on 02 oct '10 boarding from naihati to siwan.Train was scheduled to arrive at 3.24 pm.Intially the train was late 1.30 hrs.In naihati station it was announced that train will come at 5.00 pm.(Starting from kolkata 4.10 pm).It starts from kolkata at 4.10 pm .but at 4.10 pm there was sudden strike from some party at 4.10.(As announced by railways in naihati station).After some time (around 1 hour) railway announced at staion that 5047 purvanchal exp will be diverted via Dakshineswar,dankuni to bardhamman and People who have reservation from naihati and bandel can catch the train in Bardhamman.All the people starts moving and they fianlly reached to bardhamman ( it is very painfull journey because all people have very much luaggage.this is truth).Drama from railways not yet finished.After reaching to bardmman we found that train was gone before half an hour.So all the people angrly step towards station master of bardhmman.Station master told us i talk to Asansol division station master.they will hold up the train untill you reach there.Again we go to Asansol by a exp train.(just came at that time-i.e- Agneeveena exp).Same case will happen in Asansol means we found that train was gone.You can realise that what the situaion we had faced because the we are 200 km far from our home the time was around 10 o'clock at night.We are no where.We had with my old parents.Around 200 people suffered that night.
                                        13.08.11, time 09.15AM presently i m traveling with south bihar exp., i have reservation from raipur to raigarh, my seat no is 62 in s7, i am presently facing a painful journy due to some people those who have not reserve the ticket. Here only the people are not responsible for this inconvenience the railawy TT cut a lougge ticket and allow people to seat in reservation coach. I here by complin railwy to stop allowing of non reserve people to reservation coach.
