Dear Sir
A ticket cancellation request was made online 6 hrs before train departure time of 11.30 pm at [protected]@irctc.co.in, the details of which are as under

PNR No : [protected]
Train No. & Name: 2233/LKO NDLS AC EXP
Date of Journey:[protected]
Class: 3A
Date Of Boarding:08/8/2010


Subsequnetly TDR was filed however was told by the TDR cell that as per the information mentioned by railways in their letter RF1/16067/10-11/B3/11.10.10/NR, I had travelled and hence TDR can not be done

When I contested the position and said that I never travelled and this is not factually corrrect and that
I had requested for cancelling the ticket at 5.30 pm on 8th August and that it is a clear example of either of duty negligence or of corruption of allocating my birth to somebody else without issuing a proper ticket to the other person & thus compromising on additional railways revenues to govt. of India that should have been collected from the passenger who was given birth and requested for a kind help as to what is the next step that is recommended by railways in such cases
I never got any response from Railways despite 4 reminder mails over last 2 months


Pl let me know on the next step please
Yeah...in such cases it becomes highly cumbersome to zero down and make the railways accountable
How can it be done without much of time wastage, pl guide as that will help a lot of people facing such issues

    Regarding the unruly behaviour of pantry car people

    This is one of the common man who think the complaint will be taken serious action ( atleast a warning will be issued to the proper person)

    I was travelling with my two kids 6 years old and 6 months old and my parents from Madura to thane by Ngerkol express. Train no: 6340.

    we booked II AC but only during the boarding we came to know that there are only III ac coaches.

    Respected Railway Minister,

    I am Govindraj from Mangalore, Karnataka. I have been traveling quite often between Mangalore-Bangalore-Mangalore by Train No.6518 & Train No.6517 of SWR. I useally try to book the tickets 15-20 days in advance. Surprisingly, all the time, the IRCTC site shows only WL status. I know of some touts, who get me e-ticket with additional amount of Rs.200/- and would get me a Berth. I am really wondering how that is possible if every thing is transparent?
    I also suspect the railway officials hand in glove in this act and earnestly request you to investigate and book the culprits, to hold the departments image high.

      I am N Srinivasa Rao, a resident of Visakhapatnam, in regular intervals i have to go to Railway station for a 5 - 30 minutes, the bike stand, operated by railway contractor, charged Rs.5/- per bike whatever the time that means, for 5 minutes i have to pay the same amount, and after 4 hours they charged another Rs.5/-, it counts like this for every 4 hours. In the same city the Road Transport Corporation Bike stand which 1 1/2 kms distance from railway station under State Govt. Bus service throughout the district and nearby districts they have charged only Rs.4/- for 12 hours. I want to tell you that, this city is not a metro, and comparing to other railway station in another cities it is very high, somewhere it is 2 or 3. I think the contractor and some rly officials together doing this type of loot from people, some agitations are also done by daily passengers and in daily news papers also it comes, but for some days, after that all are silent and the contractor enjoying his excess money with the help of some local rly officials. Please look into the matter and solve the people's problem. For your information this rly comes in East Coast Division.

        It has become difficult to get in to Lokshakti Express (Train No: 19144) from Borivali station because of passholders & updown passengers. Due to their groupism they threaten actual reserved ticket holders. They do not vacate seat till Boisar. Due to rush of these people pick pocketers take advantages.

        Request to railway to take immediate action against these people and don't allow them to travel in reserved coaches.

        Agreed, there is same problem of passholders from Baroda to Anand and anand to ahmedabad. They occupy seats from anand to Nadiad for thier so called pass families and inspite of possessing pass they say we are not eligible for free seat. I have to travel frequently standing all the time from baroda to Ahmedabad.
        Do not stop Lokshakti and flying queen trains in Palghar. Palghar passengers should be barred from traveling in the reserved coach. Palghar is of the public third class level. The people who do harassment. Lokshakti train, Mainly S3 and S2 Palghar passenger are dirty mind who harassment to public. Palghar's passenger slapped the reserved passenger. Lokshakti train should stay at Virar directly in Boisar. So far, many trains have been started for Palghar's passenger. The public is requested to shut down Palghar's public.

        Palgahr people is very very and very dirty and Third class. Why railway not stop them from travelling in Reserved compartment. S3 Lokshakti Passholder need block

          Train no 4707 Bikaner bandra started from bikaner on dated 30.11.10, the journey was peaceful up to Abu road. After Abu Road TTE of all coaches came in to coach no S4 ans S3 and started loud gossiping and allowed a nos o[censored]nauthorized ticket holders in train. Started a big game of money in train. By objection of passengers they had stared mis behave and abusing even to ladies passengers. No one is ready to listen any words. The TTE are also neither having uniform nor having there name plates.

          We tried to contact guard but his coach is too far from S4 is so we could not approach him.

          Ahmadabad station is urgently requested to take action when this train reaches to station.
          My ticket no is 3658239 and pnr no is [protected], we 6 passenger including 4 nos of female passengers started journey from bikaner and our last station is Bandra. We want that such TTE are should be punished immediately as all passengers are witness here in train about mis condcut with female passengers.

            i am rupa shah from vapi and i just want to do complaint to indian railway that in AUGUST KRANTI OR RAJDHANI or any distance train which have AC COACH that they should announce the station name berore arriving the station coz ac coach has black glass and some has cortains on it so it become bery difficult to know which station is coming next thousands times we have to ask some one or to get out to see which station came neither we can sleep nor we can enjoy a travel..... it is so difficult to travel when we are paying morre then 4 times then single train we expect some facilities from your side also,,, i hope you will keep in mind and forward this mail.... plz reply me on [protected]@yahoo.co.in. thank you

              In this way of ATVM online recharge makes Indian railway smarter than now it have.
              Railway Smart Card should be available every where like BSNL recharge coupon.
              It should be free of charge or Rs.10/-. recharge available in all railway stations 24 hours through enquiry counter and also online recharge. The validity of card should be minimum 5 years . The AVTM should work 24 hours. Then only the purpose of AVTM fulfils. Now smart card issued in 10am-5pm only through reservation supervisor. I have been trying to get a smatcard for the last one year from Kottayam and Kannur stations in Kerala when I visit these stations but I didnt get(card not available or out of office time ). Since 2 weeks I heard the aouncement of smart card in Kannur station but when and where it is available not).Also for handicapped persons who cannot walk should provide facilities for crossing railway track.

              You need to change policy for related.
              I visited three time to respected railways staff, Senior staff have right attitude and they talking respectively, but front level staff have some issue, I feel they need to give proper training, specially for " Stress Management " and Time Management module, will help full to them improving staff.

              I am facing this problem many railway station local + outstation.

              As senior level, I am rating four starts.
              As junior level, I am rating only one starts.

              yes it is hassle free to use the card but a pain to recharge. there should be an onine recharge option

              When card made to make our life easy, request the same in recharging it.
              Current issues:
              1. Top-up AVTMS are mostly not working in many stations.
              2. Not every station has AVTMS or window top up facility.
              3. Non availability of correct denomination of cash in hand.
              If you want to make it successful, please provide online recharge or 24 hours recharge facility at stations.
              I have been started using this card since 3 to 4 months and i am not able to recharge after my first topup, this is due to unavailability of recharge counters in stations or online recharge and i have end up paying cash at ticket counter.

              This is request to ministry of railway (government of India )
              Government always talks about digitization but I don't no why they are not interested to make online recharge for smart card because commuter's are facing lot of issues to recharge there card. Now a days we can see few people are working like agents in railway stations near AMTV machine and I have doubt that they will switch of all other machine .. So we need to go them to take tickets . so I request you to please avoid this culture, ensure all machine works fine in bangalore and mysore city railway station ..

              I agree with everybody, starting the ATVM recharge service online will be of a great help. Not only recharging, but knowing card's transaction history, the expiry date and every minute detail will make the card more user friendly then it already is. Consumers could check the expiry date and if it is about to expire then we could recharge some amount to increase the expiry.
              If you are looking for some help, me and my friends are from engineering college and would love to help you with this project. I am someone who prefers everything to be done online. Similarly, everybody is "as busy as a bee" from mon-fri and like online ticketing this will also help everybody a lot as we get to avoid those never-ending queues.

                The following mentioned detail train ticket was booked on[protected], Journey date was[protected]. At a time of booking waiting list status was WL25/WL26.

                PNR NO. : [protected]

                When I checked one day before journey date on 12-11-10 at that time waiting list was reached at WL1/WL2 (Chart wasn’t prepared).

                On 13-11-10 when I checked before four hour of departure, At that time chart was prepared & waiting list was shown WL4/WL5.

                If none of tickets had been cancelled after. Then my waiting list WL1/WL2 should have been remain the same. How it was happened WL4/WL5.

                Also note due to non availability of conformed ticket I have bared approx Rs. 10000 to reached Delhi.

                Indian railway must clear the doubt about the wait list & pay expanses occurred unnecessarily due to their system problem.

                Indian Railways — Issuing Waiting list Tickets

                Hi Everyone,

                It is to my utter dismay that railways are issuing waiting list tickets, more than the required. They are simply getiing money through Takal tickets. I frequently travel by MAS-HOWRAH Mail (Trian No.2840) and found that al the sleeper coaches are jam packed with wait list passengers. This will be very uncomfortable to the confirmed pasengers and also increase theft which reduces safety along the journey. I request railway authorities to come up with a solution to avoid this situtation...

                  COMMON PEOPLE HAVE NOT RECEIVED TATKAL TICKET IN HOLIDAYS LIKE DIWALI & VACATION. B'CAUSE ILLEGAL AGENT BOOKED TICKET AT COUNTER.. BUT ONLY 1DAYS HE RELEASED FROM POLISE AND START HIS BUSINESS OF SELLING COUNTER TICKET..RAILWAY STAFF ARE ALSO WITH HIM OTHRWISE THEY CANN'T GIVE HIM TICKETS DAILLY MORNING AND 5-6 TIMES IN DAYS ALSO.THIS PEOPLE LIVED IN ANJAR. HIS NAME IS DIPAK THACKER RUNNING A STD PCO IN GANGA NAKA, NR. LALAG BECHAR PETROL PUMP. AND HE HAVE NO ANY TYPE OF LICENCED OF SELLING A RAIL COUNTER TICKET. SO PLEASE LOOK INTO THE MATTER..

                    train no 3103 from sdah to bpc at 18:25 bhagirathi exp.daily passenger occupy all the seats by playing cards or news paper if some body other than daily passenger try to have seat they start mental and physical harassment to them. after that start playing gambling and smoking with extreme label of slang they unitedly harass all the other co passenger and proudly declare that this train is only for them up to ranaghat or krishnagar.even they do not have proper ticket. in this time there is no T T or GRP. if any passenger wants complain to GRP they just ignore it.
                    so please take urgent action in to this matter.

                        Hi,
                        Recently I booked my ticked from an agent who claimed himself as licensed IRCT agent who is authorized to book e-ticked. He booked a false ticket for Jan Shatabdi from Kota to Nizammuddin which the TC did not accepted on journey and I had to pay fine of double the price of the ticket. I want to take legal action against this agent who fakes innocent students on the name of tatkal e-ticket.

                          Requestion for change of day for Train number 2255 Yeshwantpur-Puducherry tri-weekly Garib Rath

                          With regarding to Train number 2256 Puducherry-Yeshwantpur Garib Rath Express which runs from pondicherry to yeshanthpur on saturday night at 10.00 pm is not convenient for the passengers who travels in this route. Nearly 1000's of people travel in this above mentioned route on every Sunday night. Nearly twenty private buses are being operated in this route. But the cost of each ticket is Rs 500 as a minimum. kindly do favor for the public.

                            I am a frequent traveller from surat to new delhi, but i always face problems in booking my tickets,

                            in this route each time if we want to book tickets before 2 or 3 days before the journey date,

                            we found that we cannot book it in general quota or not in tatkal quota, because in general waiting is above 100

                            and in tatkal quota on 8.05 am in opening day it got hang and we cannot log in in server,

                            and when we able to log in it shows waiting in tatkal quota,

                            if we book through agent it cost us double the ticket fare after tatkal charges.

                            and i have cheked that the trains running from other locations to new delhi are having availability

                            e.g. you can check from ahmedabad,

                            so why the trains are not enogh to cover surat peoples.

                              Subject: Complaint against people traveling in Mumbai locals standing in the gate and spitting gutka on the passenger traveling in another train.


                              Respected Sir,

                              With due respect we Citizen of India, want to bring in to your kind attention about the problem we faced during the daily train journey .sir people standing on the gate of Mumbai locals use to spit the gutka on the passenger of the other train, I had personally face this situation 3rd time that’s why I want to draw attention of railway authority about this kind of problem .we know this kind things is very hard to resolve but if proper action is not taken on this kind people it is going to be a trend .so it good to control it at initial stage.

                                DURING BOOKING ON DUTY PERSON DEMANDED EXTRA MONEY BUT, I REFUSED THEY WARN ME, THAT MAY MATERIAL WHEN REACH THEY DONT KNOW ?
                                BUT TILL NOW THE MATERIAL IS NOT REACHED AT KORBA STATION.

                                  Today i had travelled by Gomti Super fast Express from Kanpur Central to Ghaziabad. its sheduled arrivel at Gzhaziabad is 1:17 PM and it reached here at 6:15 PM. Due to so much delay i could not deal with the urgent work for which i came to Ghaziabad. Moreover it had a lot of stays at different stations where it was not sheduled. Please make a note of it so that public may have a good reflection of indian railway and nobody may loss his oporunities due to reasons for which he/she is not responsible. at the same time a suggestion is also proposed that contact number of respective divisional manager must be displayed in each coach so that in case of any inconviniency in the running train passenger may contact at once. Thank You.

                                    Dear Sirs,

                                    SUB : Theft of Jewellery around 30 Tolas Gold and Cash of Rs.55,000.00 from A.P. Express (Secunderabad to Delhi)

                                    With reference to the above, I would like to bring to your kind notice that, our Jewellery around 30 Tolas Gold of value Rs.6,10,000.00 and Cash Rs.55,000.00 was stolen from us while traveling by AP Express in Coach B2 from Secunderabad to Delhi on 15.11.10 reached Delhi on 16.11.10.

                                    We are suspicious on the fellow passengers who have traveled along with us in Coach No. B2 and B3 in a group of 9 – 10 people with one person as Sadhu Baba. They have not allowed us to settle down our luggage and told us that, nothing will happen to the luggage and advised us to sit anywhere, being it an AC coach.

                                    Now, we request your goodselves to kindly fasten the matter and help us in speedy recovery of the said jewellery and cash as soon as possible.

                                      Now this time train journy is very risky ,realy no security most of the all train,I objervd moust of the trail group of boy use drink alohal and creat problem to others,hijra are spatial gaust of the most train the insult the passenger all time no ,security personal catch then ,in road escape such king of issue is essy the train ,latest insidance on 3 rd nov train no 2707 coatch no S5 sit no 32 34 one Rahul Agrwal is board on train form Secunderabad to Nagpur ,He creat hel lot of poblem use abuse,but no one are iniciate because of most are family man.
