I travelled 3 to 4 times in last 3 months by Karnataka Express in AC2-tier coach, My boarding point was Gwalior but when train came at station all doors were closed, nobody is there to open the door, at the very last moment after knoking many times attainder wakeup and opened the door, when complain to TC, nothing response.
at least the doors of AC2-tier must be opened if any passenger's boarding point is in between whether train reaches in mid night. It is the responsibilities of TC to take care, since he holds the list of passengers and has the responsibilities.

    I AM CHARGED RS 200 FORM YOUR TTE MR AKHILESH SINGH (MORADABAD

    sir,
    i know about authorised private tickte counter in all railways town, the happiest subject for every one but kulpahar ticket counter charged Rs.1/- on every ticket & 30/- on reservation ticket. and another problem one of change of money on thier counter,
    why? the costomer give extra money from the station ticket,

      Respected Sir,
      I kumar bhaskar beg to state that, I purchased 2 tickets from jasidih to new delhi and vice-versa of schedule journey dates, 04 april, 2009 and 09 april 2009 respectively(PNR No.[protected] and [protected] respectively) on 24 march 2009 at 10:28 A.M., from Baidhnathdham Railway reservation counter, Deoghar, Jharkhand(Asansol railway division, west bengal).
      Sir, the total amount of ticket was Rs.814/-only, I gave the booking clerk(Manoj singh) Rs.815/- and was expecting my one rupee refund, but when I asked him for my one rupee he threw away all my money towards me, snached my tickets and abused me saying "because of you fool and illiterate people we face problems, go and get four rupee in change."In return of his harsh abusive language when I said him that"Is this the way of talking and behaving".Then he outbursted infront of many travellers and started abusing me using filthy slangs and threatned me to crush my face and beat me to death.He threatned me to face consequences when his duties will be off on 1400 hrs, as my address was written on requsition slip he said me that he will find me anywhere and teach me lessons of behavior.
      Sir, this is not matter of mere 0ne rupee, but this reservation booking clerk(Namely, Manoj Singh) has made his habit of not refunding the rest amount in name of scarcity of change money, by this way he is making money by illegal means of amount nearly Rs. 500 to Rs 700 per day.This has happened to me and to many more customers many more times earlier also, but no one wants to take pain for mere 2-3 rupees.Thus, this booking clerk is making money by illegal means and above all he is harrasing customers, if asked for our own hard earned money.
      Sir, Hieght of every thing is that when I decided to complain against him he provided my mobile number from my requsition slip to few anti-social elements of the locality, who threatned me to face consequnces if I lodge any such complaints.Sir I have that numbers in my received calls menu, but I am scared to disclose them now.
      Sir, When I went to station master cabin to lodge my complain he was reluctant and favouring that booking clerk, he along with other members again harrased me and pressurised me not to lodge complain, as they were localites.Station master said me"Pani me rehkar magarmach se bair nahi karna chaiae", and finally denied me to lodge any written complain.
      Sir, after this incident I am in great distress.Plese lodge my complain agaist the ill behavior, use of abusive language and threatning by reservation booking clerk (Manoj Singh)and Station master of Baidhnath dham station, Deoghar, Jharkhand(Asansol division, W.B).Plese take appropriate steps, for this I will remain ever obliged to you.

        Indian Railways has provided very few ticket counters at Gaya (Bihar) Railway station which always creates a situation at the ticket counters like obtaining ticket of first show of Hindi cinema Sholey and very congenial for the pick pocketers. today i struggled for hour to get the ticket but could not succeed, then i took platform ticket and went to catch superfast express, contacted theTTE of the train who said you will have to pay 250/ penalty for getting ticket, then i decided not to take that train and then went and lodged a written complaint at the platform no.1. i even tried to get ticket from the railway colony side ticket counter but the person placed at the counter drove all the persons from the counter swaying a stick in their hands over the persons in queue saying that the counter is to be closed, it was really very inhuman for the passengers craving for the ticket. i am shocked by the treatment railway is meeting to its customers.

          Dear Sir,
          I had gone to see off my brother in law from Bina junction which is 72kms. from my home town Sagar.
          The train was lucknow pune, train no.2104 which was scheduled to depart at 2.20pm and was told to be late by 10minutes but which arrived 2hrs.late.
          The enquiry at this station is very far from the platforms and their is no informaton system available at the platform.
          Previously their used to be a manual board and their was a information centre platform no. 1/2 which have been removed.
          Eleltronic boards have been installed which were not working at that time.
          I approached the dy. station master Mr.Lila Verma who came to his seat after 30mins.I requested for the complaint book which he was not willing to give instead he cross questioning me and dictating his terms.
          Meanwhile one of his colleague whose name I do not know came from the adjacent room and started shuoting on me and misbehaving with me.
          All the three railway personnel present their plotted to lodge a false complaint against me and called the railway police.
          To tell in short I was pressurised and terrorized till I did not say sorry to bother them and took back my complaint.
          Instead of accepting their mistake and apologising for the same they humiliated me .
          I felt as if I am living in bonded India.
          Hope somebody responsible will care to remedy this situation.
          Ps:The result was the electronic system at the station started working and was working till the time I was at the Station.

          Lallu ji, Please do something to prevent railway officials behave like Dacoits.
          The mentioned incident is really shameful and it's a very common incident not only at Bina junction but other railway stations too. It's high time we as education people voice out to get our rights. Railways are running on our money and there employees are paid out of that, they should respect the passengers (who have bought the tickets obviously) and treat them well.

            I found there is a difference in fare of Rs. 14 when travelling from Visakhapatnam(VSKP) to Secunderabad(SC) as compared to the fare from SC to VSKP.

            The fares I found in the IRCTC site are as follows.

            SC to VSKP Rs. 285
            VSKP to SC Rs. 299

            As per the railways fares the fare should be Rs. 285 only. SCR is following this. But why ECoR is still not yet implemented this? Indian railways is exploiting the passengers. Is this a government organisation or a private one?

              The matter is that I have came to India after 5 years to meet my parents and relatives so I have to travel via train superfast express (new delhi to jalandhar) and I board this train from Yamuna Nagar (Jagadhri), but I am really sorry to say that this train is never on time neither in morning nor in evening it always reaches either 30 minutes or 45 minutes late, in morning the train timetable says that train will reach at Yamuna Nagar station at 8:30a.m but it reaches at 9:00 or sometime at 9.05 a.m similarly in evening it reaches late always, this happened on 19th March 2008 also and I went to station master and asked him to provide me compalint book as I want to make complaint against this but he was so rude and refused to provide me with complaint book when I told him that I will report this to seniors he said me do whatever I can.

              I want to ask that if you are going to handle people coming from outside in this way then why do you advertise that to see India best way is to travel by railway, again I was overcharged by railway vendor when I purchased bottle of pepsi and he charged me Rs.25 whereas the marked price is Rs.20

              I am sorry to say but in future I am never going to travel with Indian Railways the service and attitude of people is totally un-acceptable and it was me only whose ticket was checked whereas all others who were travelling without tickets they went through unmanned routes and I followed the legal way to move out from railway station.Incident happened at Yamuna Nagar (Jagadhri) railway station

              Really it was totally awfull experience with Indian Railways, and in future I am never going to travel with railway.

              Subject; Information for late running/cancellation status

              I have booked a ticket on a special train "Garib Rath", train no.-870 and the date of journey is on[protected] at 2355 Hrs from bangalore to puri.
              we have traveled 2 hrs journey to reach the Bangalore Railway station from my residence(within Bangalore) and after hearing the late running status of train i.e 10 hrs we have traveled back to home and the next day we have to reach the railway station in the early morning hrs to catch the same train.So the overhaul experience was bad.


              Suggestion:-
              In natural calamity we cannot avoid the late running of the trains but the following suggestion can be followed for the Customer Satisfaction.

              During the booking of railway ticket, the mobile no. can be used to send Short messaging service(SMS) for informing the late running/cancel status of the train.
              Most common complaints for misbehaviour by ticket booking counter staff while passenger are critical (fataltity/emergency jounrey) position. and charged additional fare at counter . specially N.R.

              (Ambala cant Rlystation counter no. 2&3) So. pls, take n.a. therefore in future to avoid this type happened.
              Why railway authority announce the special train if they can not manage it. Special trains are always late while regular trains are running on time in same route.

                i had booked e ticket from erode to chennai on[protected] by yercaud express. I had cancelled the ticket on[protected]. irctc has not given refund till date despite many e mails.

                non response to the e mail speaks volumes of possible corruption in fefund of cancelled tickets
                I had cancelled the Eticket booked thru IRCTC due to late running of train number 4650 on 26/08/2009 from delhi - luckhnow by more than 6 Hours.

                Full Money should be refunded as per the rules for late running trains.but i had rcieved a amount of Rs 277 only Kindly help me providing the full refund

                    I was travelling by saurashtra mail on 14th march 2009 from palghar to ahmedabad. Unfortunatly my ticket was not confirm so me and my wife just sit near to gate of reserve coach and we wont have any issue. I met TTE to check if there is any possibility to conferm or even RAC my ticket so that atleast my wife can sit but TTE told me that there is no any chance for it even i have seen there were lots of sits available and they making confirm tickets of RAC persons and they are taking bribe from them. They both(Both TTE) made atleast 2000 rs easily as per my point of view bcoz i was just stood near him and looking what he was doing but they were not shying at all even they didnt bother at all that someone watching us and we are taking bribe. I wonder how they can take bribe on duty? as per my point of view they are doing business(Bribing) and job(Govt) at same time. How they can do this? if they will do same then what happen to passanger? I request you to look into this matter and make justice for other passanger.

                    I am travelling on 15JUL09 in KK Exprss Trains 2628 from NEW DELHI to KOPERGAON with my family. My Coach No is A2 and my PNR [protected] seat/birth no are 2/4/5/6/11.
                    I wanted to lodge my complaint against the attitude of your staff as when we requested to serve the toilet paper which they told us not avaialable and we informed staff (TTE) of duty which he confirms when the train weill reached ITARSI will served there but surprise to not that he is OFF duty from ITARSI. He is handedover his duty to Mr. Jadhav (TTE) he borded the train from ITARSI but surprise to not that after variouz request he is not able to meet request and when we requested him please give us a compalint book his beahviour was not satisfactory and told us to reight whatever you wants to right, right it he dont bother about our request.
                    Apart from of all above I wants to bring to your notice following also

                    1. The Toliet was in very bad condition it was not clean, no human can use this.
                    2. Clining of the coah was not good.
                    3. Breakfast was which is served by Pantry staff was not good.

                    I am writting this mail from the same train.

                    I AM A FIRST CLASS SEASON HOLDER OF SOUTHERN RAILWAY EMU SERVICE. THOUGH THE RAILWAYS CHARGES FOUR TIMES OF THE FARE OF THE SECOND CLASS SEASON TICKET FARE BUT NO AMENITIES WERE PROVIDED AND THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN I CLASS AND II CLASS.

                    AND PART OF LADIES COMPATMENT IS ALLOCATED AS FIRST CLASS WHICH CAUSES INCONVENIENCE FOR BOTH LADIES AND WELL AS FIRST CLASS SEASON HOLDERS. IF REALLY THE RAILWAYS ARE INTERESTED IN THE AMENITIES OF THE LADIES THEN THEY SHOULD NOT PART THE LADIES COMPARTMENT. IF NEED BE CHECK THE COACHES OF THE EMU RACKS WHICH PLY BETWEEN TAMBARAM AND BEACH. IN MORE THAN 90% OF THE TRAINS THIS IS THE PLIGHT.

                    OTHER PROBLEM IS SINCE THERE IS NO DISTINCTION BETWEEN FIRST CLASS AND SECOND CLASS MANY IGNORANT AND INNOCENT PEOPLE GET INTO FIRST CLASS IN A HURRY AND WHEN THERE IS A TTE THEN THEY ARE FORCED TO PAY FINE THOUGH THEIR REQUEST GOES IN VAIN

                    FINALLY AS INFORMED THROUGH NEWS PAPERS THAT FROM AUGUST 09 ONWARDS ALL THE SUBURBAN EMUS BETWEEN TBM AND CHENAI BEACH WOULD BE OF 12 CAR, PLEASE IMPLEMENT THE SAME AND NOW A DAYS DURING PEAK HOURS WE FIND MANY 9 CARS ONLY PLY.

                    HOPE THE ABOVE POINTS WOULD BE TAKEN IN RIGHT SPIRIT BY SOUTHERN RAILWAYS AND AWAITING A FAVOURABLE RESPONSE

                    I bought Aticket from window no 19 on 8th March in advance to travel from Gorakhpur to Varanasi either Dadar Exp or by Krishak Exp no 5008. I boarded in S 7/1 on 9 March 2010. After Jakhania Station two TTEs came into the compartment wearing black coats without name plates concealing their identity, started threatening saying it is a magistrate checking and myself and four students were asked to pay either Rs.1250=00 or we will sent you to jail.then he asked how much money do you have with you. The students told we have only 450/- He collected all the money from them then he told me since you are a senior citizen, you pay the difference Rs75/- only He took the money without giving any receipt and he collected about a thousand rupees in this single compartment.My ticket no isH52818652. His initial is available on the issued ticket. It is my request such bribers be checked from showing rude behaviour and collecting unauthorised money from the passengers and not depositing the money with the Railway.Further, innocent passengers should be told clearly if they are travelling in a sleeper coach during day time they can be given ticket after payment of difference. In my case it was only 40/- but he realised 75/-.Journey can be happy if staff show amiable manners.

                      This is to draw kind attention of Railway authorities of East Central Railways towards poor treatment being given to a particular train no.3240 Mathura - Patna Express.This train comes almost in time till Ara Station.However the railway authorities start delaying tactics from Danapur station onwards.The plight of this train starts from Danapur.This train is unnecessarily made to stand at Danapur and then at Phulwarisarif stations for hours causing great harassment to passengers.For remaining journey of only 20 minutes they have to suffer for hours.While all other train from behind are allowed to pass, this particular train is given a stepmotherly treatment.If this is way of running a train, why they do not stop running this train at all .I my self suffered a lot while journying in this train on 17.03.09 and this train took about two hours from Danapur to Patna.

                        I am staying at Bhayander, and I have noticed that on Monday to Friday most of the second class or ticketless passengers travel regulerly by First class during the journey between Virara to Borivali.
                        Because there is no one to ceck the tickets.

                        Suggestion:
                        We know that its difficult to enetr into the compartment and check the validity of ticket/ Season pass.
                        But the TC can check the same by standing at the station platform outside the First class compartment.

                        I hope that the Western Railway would act on this immediately.

                        Yes i agree for the same bcz i am also facing the same problem daily as i stay in nala sopara.

                          I TRAVEL FREQUENTLY IN 3 AC / 2 AC 2664 TPJ-HWH SUPERFAST EXPRESS AND 2663 HWH-TPJ EXPRESS. MOST OF THE TIMES THE HAND TOWEL IS NOT AT ALL ISSUED ESPECIALLY IN 3 AC AND SUPPLIED IN 2 AC ONLY WHEN ASKED. THE BEDSHEETS AND BLANKET ARE ALSO ISSUED QUITE LATER AFTER THE TRAIN DEPARTS AND IF QUESTIONED THE ATTENDANT GIVES A VERY RUDE REPLY . THE BEDSHEETS ARE NOT SO CLEAN AND MOST OF THE TIMES CRUMPLED. TO LOCATE THE ATTENDANT CAN BE A HERCULIAN TASK SOMETIMES AS IT REQUIRES THE PASSENGER TO TAKE REPEAT VISITS TO NEARBY COACHES IN SEARCH OF HIM.
                          THE RUDENESS AND LATHARGIC ATTITUDE IS COMMON AND ONLY OCCASIONALLY I COME ACROSS AN ATTENDANT WHO IS POLITE.
                          I SUGGEST THE RAILWAYS TO CONSIDER TO EITHER DISPENSE WITH THE SYSTEM OF ATTENDANT ITSELF AND DEVICE ALTERNATIVE METHOD OR TRAIN THESE ATTENDANTS FOR HOSPITALITY AND THEN SEND THEM ON BOARD.

                            Dear Sir,

                            I am a resident of Brahamapara, Shimurali, Nadia boarding a train from Shimurali Station on regular basis as a monthly ticket holder to Sealdha/Princep Ghat Station.

                            The above facilities were extended to me till February, 2009 and as soon as the computerized system of issuing tickets were introduced I have failed to obtain the facilities availed earlier. I have been asked to choose either one (Sealdha/Princep Ghat) as destination.

                            It is, therefore, requesed to please look into the diffculties experienced by the travelers of Indian Railways in accouding facilities that was available earlier.

                            I travelled with my family Chennai to Tirunelveli on 18.11.2009 be e-ticket. TTE checked ticket with my office ( Central Government ) id (Laminatied color Xerox id ) and he accepted. But in the Tirunelveli platform a Ticket checking Inspector did not accept my office id. Again I showed my Driving Licence ( copy ). He fined me as fare Rs. 846 anf fine Rs. 750. ( 3 tickets).
                            Without Original id the passenger will be treated as without ticket.
                            Ticket fare for 2nd sleeeper Rs. 282/-
                            Unreserved Base fare Rs 132/-
                            A person without ticket will be fined as Fare Rs. 132/- + fine Rs 250 = Rs. 382 + super fast charge.
                            But I paid per ticket as fare for e-ticket Rs 282
                            Excess fare collected Rs 282
                            Fine Amount collected Rs 250
                            Total Amount paid per ticket Rs 814
                            Why this parciality. Is it e-ticket is more crime than without ticket?

                              I had booked an i-ticket on 11.04.2007 (journey date 29.04.2007, PNR [protected], Train 2957 SWARNA J RAJDHANI EXPRESS, Station Abu Road to New Delhi, Transaction ID [protected])

                              Since the ticket was waitlisted and could not be confirmed till the printing of charts, hence i was unable to travel on waitlist ticket in rajdhani train, so i went to Abu Road Rly station in the late hours on 29.04.2007 but before the train time. The booking clerk cancelled the ticket and gave me Ticket Deposit Receipt (no. B016787 dt. 29.04.2007) and a copy of which is held with me. The original was sent to Indian Railways and a copy was also as a followup given to IRCTC office at Sansad Marg, New Delhi. Being i-ticket cash refund was not permitted and same is mentioned on the Ticket Deposit Receipt

                              despite requests, reminders, complaints the said ticket has not been refunded till date i.e. about two years

                                I am a working soldier of Indian Air Force. I reserved my ticket on Free Railway Warrants. Due to service exigencies i surrendered my reservation and got the cancelled tickets on[protected]Cencelled tickets No.26680682, 26680683, 26680684 &[protected]. I went to Chief Ticket Superintendent, Izatnagar Railway Station on the same day to get Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR). But due to non availability of TDR, the Chief Ticket Supdt asked me to come any other day for the same. Accordingly, on 13-03-09 at 1545hrs i went to Izatnagar Railway Station and asked the Chief Ticket Supdt for TDR. As that time there were two trains waiting for departure at the station, the Ticket Supdt asked me for a while and after the trains departure he will issue the same. I waited till 1625hrs and went to the Station Master's room (adjacent to Chief Ticket Supdt's Office) and enquired about the Ticket Supdt. The Station Master (on[protected] at 1625hrs) replied me that the Ticket Supdt packed up at 1600hrs and i am late for asking a TDR. I asked him for the Complaint Register but he denied to provide the same. Also, he asked me to provide any proof of my complaints. He also used some abusive languages.

                                As i am a soldier and engaged in various shift duties, it is not possible to come frequently for the task. Also, a commuter/passenger can not provide any such proof for these type of harassment by Indian Railways Staffs. How a commuter can provide a proof that he came twice and asked the Chief Ticket Supdt for TDR? Also, if he is barred from writing a complaint, how the problems will be rectified?

                                Indian Railways is a profitable organisation and must looks after the comfort of the commuters. I believe, higher authorities will look after these type of problems and will punish the staff accordingly who are in faults.

                                  PRN No, [protected], Train No. 4212(Intercity Express), Journey Dt 07/03/2009 Class- AC CC (Coach C1 & Berth No 11)

                                  On 07/03, I was travelling from Asaoti to Agra by 4212 - Intercity Express in AC CC Compartment.

                                  The coach was very duty, bad smell around the coach and it was so awful, which can not expressed. The chairs were very old, with broken condition and were in very bad shape

                                  I expressed my concern about the filthy condition of the compartment to Mr. Rajpal Singh, the Dy CIT /NCR, who had come to check the ticket. I wanted the Complain Register to register the issues. Mr. Singh said he would be coming back to me, once the check all the tickets of other passenger.

                                  Since he did not appear at all, hence I went in searching of him and found him in one of the Coupe of the 1st Class compartment, which was next to Chair Car compartment.

                                  When I asked of the Complain book, he could not provide the same as it was not available.

                                  He said he would forward my complain to the concern department for the needful action and noted down in the reservation chart.

                                  I had no other option than returned back to my seat with high frustration. These coach does not have a Laptop/Mobile charging point.

                                  Was I charged full fare to travel in such condition.

                                  There were 3 foreigners travelling in the same C1 compartment and what impression they would be carrying on the Indian Railways.

                                    I wish to bring your kind notice about the attitude of indian railwars catering services.I have booked my reservation from ludhiana to kolkatta in Howrah mail along with mt 28 persons on 05.03.09 in 3tier sleeper class.The food whether snacks/lunch/dinner is served to us is very bad.the passenger has no option other than to eat food which was served by the railways.
                                    I came back from kalkatta to delhi by air and then from delhi to ludhiana by Shatabadi in chair car.I was sure that now the food will be very fine.but i shocked to see that the quality of food was so worst that majority of the passengers did not take their food.I am unable to understand that when you charged what you want then what is the problem to serve a delicious/hygienic food.I have lodged the written complaint with you in shatabadi train.
                                    Dear sir, i here to suggest that please there should be a person of railway authorities who will check the food himself and then it to be served to the passengers.further he should meet with the passengers and ask them about the quality of food and marked in his suggestion/complaint book.Hoping you will take appropriate action and do something for your passengers.Further i am strong supporter of BJP but at the same time the fan of Lallu prasad yadav and wish to the god any government come at the centre but our railway minister should be only Lallu Prasad yadav

                                      I have booked e tickets to Coimbatore and return. I have not taken prinout for the same immediately after booking. The Booked Tickets History page could not be opened.

                                        this is with regard to the 7036 telangana and 7233 bhagyanagar trains and the placement of ac chair car coach which is totally unscientific and erratic causing inconvience to the passengers.Today my mother who is having appointement in mediciti hospital for operation tomorrow at 8am i, e 11.3.2009 and who is 78 years old was injured running for the ac coach which is totally placed at the tail end which was not the case regularly and the stopping time of the train 7036 telangana 2 mts only.I want to tell the authorities that this ac coach placement is like a big lottery and challenging the passengers like catch if you can.this is happening since a long time and never it is placed at the same place and the result is utter chaos and injuries to senior citizens and missing train etc.And the person who is the ticket examiner on that date i.e 10.3.2009 does not bother to help us by stopping the train seeing all this traumatic tamasha.kindly look into this sordid saga of telangana and bhagynagar trains and let there should be a permanent placement of ac chair car coach which will make the journey hassle free.indian railways should respect senior citizens in particular and the passengers in general not only by giving concessions in fare but allow them the facility to board the train without challenging them.
                                        today the trauma we are in after missing the train and falling down in the process of my mother who is 78 years old is unbearable and the attitude of the railway staff is pathetic to say the least,
                                        please correct this and reply to us, we have still lot of faith in railways.All this happend at jamikunta station from sirpur kagajnagar to secunderabad.
