Hi, I and three friends of mine planned for a trip to Goa. As decided, we went to the Kolkata airport to buy the tickets for the four o[censored]s on 1st of July, 2013.We checked the rates and finally zeroed in on the Indigo offer. We told them the date and the booked 4 tickets. We didn’t know till then that we would me harassed so much. We boarded the flight 6E293 Kolkata to Mumbai(reference:KUSQDV) and then had a connecting flight 6E181 Mumbai to Goa(reference:GUR9CQ). We landed at Mumbai at the correct time on 10th October, 2013 but due to the luggage collection and the bus coming late to get us to the terminal(form the flight), we missed the boarding just by a few minuted.Even when we were standing in the queue in Mumbai airport to get our boarding passes, we heard they were closing the gates for the Mumbai-Goa flight. We hurried but were late by 3 minutes and so we couldn’t get the boarding pass.We missed our flight. We were told by the employee sitting over there that our tickets were non refundable but they will consider adjusting only if we take the next flight which was at 1:20PM.We had earlier bought the ticket @ 10000 for the four o[censored]s but now were told to pay a whopping 20000 to get 4 tickets of the next flight. We agreed but I just want to point out a few things: 1)We booked two flights: 6E293 Kolkata to Mumbai(7:20am-11:10am) and 6E181 Mumbai to Goa(12:15pm-1:20pm) from the Indigo counter at Kolkata airport. They could have told us about the other flights from Mumbai to Goa and suggested us that if we were a bit late, we could miss the connecting flight to Goa which we eventually did! 2)The flight reached on time i.e at 11:10 but we reached the baggage counter at 11:32am and the checkin queue @ 11:35am.They could have allowed us if they wanted to but the lady sitting over there was very adamant. She even told that we should be grateful that they are considering our previous ticket and if we don’t book the 1:20pm flight then they would take the full amount if we wanted to go on a later flight. 3)If the bus arriving to take us from the flight is late, is it our fault? Our bags come late on the baggage collection conveyor, was it our fault? We were late and we literally ran in the airport to reach the counter but there was no response or any kind of helping attitude from the Indigo personnel at the airport. 4)They constantly reminded us that our tickets were non-refundable and they were helping us by giving us a discount on the next flight!Helping?really..if you call this help then thank you but I don’t require it! 5)20000 was a huge amount and we eventually had to book the next flight as we didn’t have any other option. We had limited holidays(3 days) and couldn’t spare an extra day day travelling. Our trip got spoilt as 20000 was a considerable amount and we dropped many sightseeing plans due to this mishap. Please: 1)Educate and train your employees who book tickets at the aiport and let them warn customers that if they are travelling and considering a connecting flight, the next flight should be minimum 3 hours later. 2)We are the people who love to travel and getting such responses from such a huge brand disappointed us. 3)The non refundable ticket and Indigo doing us a huge favour by considering our previous ticket cost.We are travelers and not beggars!but yes you made a feel like one!thank you for the awesome treatment at the airport. Last but not the least, kindly consider my suggestions as it can lead to delighted customers and people would love to take the (Indigo)flights again. In flight service is as important as the service being provided at the airport so don’t neglect it. Regards, Subhankar Sinha, Kolkata.

I would like to inform you and your company of the unbelievable and truly disrespectful manner in which an employee Mr. Sangram Pradhan has behaved with us . We travelled in the indigo flight no 6E 244 from Sardar Vallabhai Patel Airport Ahmedabad to CST Airport at Mumbai on the 2nd of November 2013. (Airline PNR *J369MV* ) My complaint is regarding your employee at the ground staff at the Ahmedabad Airport Mr. Sangram Pradhan (Executive - AO&CS at IntearGlobe Aviation Ltd ) . We were left stranded after being hospitilised at Lions General Hospital in Mehsana . And so opted for a indigo flight back to Mumbai to receive better healthcare facilities. All o[censored]s were fit to fly and thereby discharged by the hospital which lies about 75 kilometres away from the Ahmedabad Airport . We write this complaint against Sangram Pradhan as he dint allow members of our group to board the flight and left them stranded in healthcare conditions that could have deterioted to serious extents. He did so as out of the six passengers four were carrying a id proof while the other two of them, one of which being a senior citizen dint have an id card, and so were ordered by your ground staff employee to get their respective id cards and fit to fly certificates by going back the distance that they had travelled to reach the airport from the hospital and this just to procure their id cards. In healthcare conditions that propelled them to take your services to save precious time, and this being a condition of emergency, he was held responsible by the other members of your ground staff also as his behaviour was equivalent to harassment of women passengers as he inquired way to deep into the medical conditions, to an extent that women should not be quizzed upon . The ones stranded in the cold atmosphere of the airport with no practical knowledge of the airport were left with conditions whose severity were damaging to their health when finally the other staff helped them to clear there boarding of the flight on the same evening. This behavior of his against us gives us a feeling of being intimidated, harassed and demeaned . We were treated in a highly rude and disrespectful manner. Harassment in hostile conditions is equivalent to hostage taking and women harassment charges . Any more of this harassment to the passengers just recovered from a fatal casuality condition would have had trouble to a human life.. This is not a reflection on the professionalism, dedication and integrity your ground staff should work with, and more so in dealing with people who at times look up to your carrier for safety and quick services for the matter of reaching a destination is time enough for a human to be given healthcare facilities at the right place . We had rail tickets of Jan Shatapdi available for the same day which would have brought us back to our destination in time much less than that we took because of being stranded at the airport by your groundstaff employee . But opted for indigo just because of its repute as a “on the time” carrier but were left truly disappointed and concerned about the safety of women travelers on your carrier because of such individuals who see their dominance at work place greater than to treat passengers with respect and courtesy. All transportation security officers are held to the highest professional standards and are expected to treat passengers with utmost maturity and as equals . Regrettably, no organization is immune to acts of misconduct or unprofessional behaviour by a few employees and so we will be highly justified if this employ of yours faces serious action and thereby does not give a badname to a carrier of your magnitude . it made us feel unsafe and insecure dealing with him at the Ahmedabad Airport. This is not a reflection on the professionalism, dedication and integrity that employees at Indigo must possess I was in complete shock and anger, and shaken for days by this absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional behaviour of an employee of an international airline. I have never experienced anything like this before, especially not when it happens from a company like Indigo. I would demand you to inquire about the incident and take the most severe action possible before a court or a commission for women harassment cases and NGOs are approached by us.

Hi, I had cancelled a airline ticket bearing PRN no. BZKKNV with Indigo airlines on 22.09.2013. But till date I've not yet received the amount. the amount is Rs. 21, 140. Initially, when I approached them they gave me a reference number, BRN NO. INTER.8713.[protected] and said the money is transferred to my Citibank credit card account on 28.9.2013. But when I checked with the bank, they said that the refund from Indigo has not come. On repeated followups, Indigo airlines again told that they have refunded the money via BRN NO. INTER.8713.[protected] on 7.10.2013 and directed me to Citibank . Now, again when I approached Citibank, they investigated and told me that no such refund has come from Indigo airlines. Bank has also confirmed to me by sending a letter mentioning this fact. I'm really fed up by this negligent customer service from Indigo and seek justice with the refund made. I've also sent the bank statement to Indigo which does not reflect the amount refunded. Kindly help me to get my refund from Indigo. Till date I'm trying to follow up with Indigo, but its futile. Thanks and Regards, Kajal Kumar Biswas

Dear Sir/Madam SUB: Arrogant attitude of Indigo Airlines staff. I am aged 63 years a senior Director of a corporate house, frequent flier by 6E 292. I am sorry to bring in your kind notice that today, I was insulted by your check in stuff in Kolkata airport, while I was traveling from kolkata to Guwahati by 6E 292, seat no: 2C, having PNR No: Q2Q8MC . Instead of helping me out in the checki-in counter, they pushed the luggage trolley in such a way, that it hit me from behind and with no regret, they misbehaved with me. Awaiting your co-operative action. Thanking you. Mr. Parimal Dey. D/139, Ramgarh Kolkata 700047 (M) [protected]

Its better to avoid avialing their services and intimate all your people around also to do the same.

Dear Sir/Maam My mother Mrs Pakeeza Khan had her flight at 9.55 am in the 6E 205 flight which flies from Delhi to Dibrugarh with a stop at Kolkata today 14.10.2013 While she was checking in with her baggage she was informed that she had excess baggage and told to pay for it in the nearby counter and then come take the boarding pass. She was attended by a man whose name is not important to disclose at this point. When she came back after paying for her excess baggage, the man has left for another counter and his place was taken by a lady. My mother noticed that her only suitcase, which should have been at the weighing scale was MISSING. While inquiring about it, the lady at the counter raised an alarm when she realized that the suitcase had gone for boarding WITHOUT the luggage tag as there was NO TAG on the boarding pass as well. So basically the man FORGOT TO TAG the luggage. My mother created a scene (which was her right) to get her luggage back but they couldnt find it. And now the suitcase is missing as it was not found at the port of arrival nor at the Kolkata transit. It had very valuable items no doubt and a good amount of cash. It was a navy blue suitcase which should be around 18 kgs and had P.Khan written on it. So basically if the luggage was not tagged then it should be at the airport or the lost and found department. We have already called cargo of the Delhi airport and they have told us to wait for two days. My question is - If the luggage was not tagged then does it get sideline and kept at the airport or loaded in the aircraft? If the answer is yes, then i urge INDIGO DELHI to look into this matter as it cannot be anywhere else but AT the delhi airport. If the answer is no, then i urge to again look into this matter with the utmost concern because then it will be the most irresponsible thing of your officials and will involve legal proceedings. It was a mistake of INDIGO counter officials and therefore, the whole responsibility of the missing luggage falls on the staff and Indigo. It will not be difficult for us lodge a complaint with the higher authorities and involve the police and to say the least drag them to court to but we are trusting them enough to give atleast 7 days to look into this matter before taking up adverse steps. We trust Indigo will return the suitcase which has sensitive valuables and look into this matter as soon as possible. Since it was lost on the 14.10.2013, yesterday, i trust them to find it within 2 days. We have done the needful and we request the Airline to take responsibility for what happened and find the luggage. Please free to email me back if there is any news at - khan.[protected]@gmail.com Thanking you F.Khan

At the outset, we would like to clarify that the attached letter was not issued by IndiGo and also, the email ID mentioned does not belong to IndiGo.

On the same note, it is also pertinent to mention here that the Company does not indulge in the practices of collecting any processing/enrollment fees from job aspirants/candidates.

It is advisable for you to approach competent authorities for a parallel investigation into the matter against such unknown errant persons. Hope this clarifies.

I am regular airline traveller between Singapore and India. I have been using the same size cabin baggage since past 5 years in every airline including Indigo. I have travelled maximum using Indigo airline on Singapore-India route. But for my last trip the same cabin baggage was not allowed at Changi airport by Indigo airlines and charged me $100 SGD in cash for it. I feel completely cheated and demand my money back. The baggage did not even weigh more than 7 kg. Flight details REF NO: L19BTD Carrier : Indigo 6E54 Travelling Dae: 16/08/2013

When and how was this resolved ?
Indigo should refund the money. this is inspite of being registered member for Airline.
Blunt Cheating and that too at international airport. They had put a container at the airport ( for the first time) to test whether bags of size are allowed or not this time. Else bag were manually checked and let go. How does that justify ? Bag which weights less 5 kg cannot also fit within container.
Completely cheated into flawed container and baggage rule
Just going through RESOLVED! Bloody hell, simply closing the issues as resolved! Done zero!!!

                    Address: North Goa, Goa

                    Hello

I would like to bring to your notice a very distasteful experience my family and I had to undergo at Goa airport (GOI) on 15th September 2013. We were traveling from Goa to Kolkata via Bangalore on 6E 343 on 15/09/2013. We had all our checked in luggage and carry on luggages weighed and cleared at the check in counter.

We waited at the boarding gate for almost 45 mins and then when we were about to board the bus, one of your CSR (Assistant Manager) - Justin Gowe (0895) stopped my wife and I from boarding the bus citing our carry on luggage was overweight while it was not. My 3 year old daughter and my parents had already boarded the bus and in spite of requesting him to let us also board, he did not listen and physically pulled us out of the queue causing great embarrassment to both o[censored]s. I had the boarding passes for all 5 o[censored]s with me. One of Mr. Justin's associates, not sure what he was trying to do, weighed 2 carry on luggages together and it came out as 13 kgs (which is ok per your carry on baggage allowance of 7 kg each for 2 luggages). We had a total of 5 carry on luggages (including 2 laptop bag packs) and the combined weight of all 5 of them was well within 35 kg allowance. Mr. Justin tried to intimidate us saying we cannot board the flight unless one of the baggages was checked in for a fee that he was very intent on getting from us. He was being rude as he pulled us out back from where the bus boarding starts and was trying to impose all his sales tactics to extract money out of our pockets (for which I am sure he gets some good commission for any excess baggage fees he gets for your airlines). We pleaded that the weight of the 2 bags combined is less than 14 kg, though one of the bags was around 9 kg and the other was around 4 kg. He tried his best to get the 9 kg bag be checked in for a fee. We had to finally move some stuff from the 9kg bag to the 4 kg bag and then only he got satisfied when he could not do anything else to get money out of our pockets. We then had to get on another bus and by the time we reached the plane staircase, it was already 15-20 mins.

Since my 3 year old kid and my senior citizen parents had already been on the bus which left earlier, they were stopped at the plane boarding staircase in the scorching hot sun go Goa at around 2:00 pm for all those 15-20 mins. My daughter was profusely crying for all that time until we arrived thinking we were not coming with her. This was an utterly shocking incident that we won't forget easily. Your CSRs seem to target people traveling with family as they think they are soft targets to get the money since families would not resist their intimidation tactics and pay them the excess baggage fees without much ado.
If he was really concerned about the wight of the bags and safety of the passengers, he should have come up with his weighing scale when were sitting and relaxing at the seats next to the gate 1C. I have seen so many times, various international airlines do that check if their aircrafts cannot accommodate a piece of carry on luggage (when traveling thru Paris, Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam etc.) and they do a valet check in for free. Your CSRs wait till the last moment when the passenger is about to board the bus as they know that due to the time crunch, they will have a greater chance of extracting the extra money from the passengers with their intimidation tactics.

I also had a similar bad experience on 31/08/2013 at the Delhi airport - Terminal 1D when flying from Delhi to Mumbai. This CSR at the Delhi airport (forgetting his name) does not even know the rules of carry on allowance which clearly states that an additional laptop (without a bag) is allowed additionally on top of the 7 kg carry-on limit per passenger. He arrogantly was asking us to pay for the extra weight of the laptop though I was not required to as he did not know the rules. I had to use my smartphone to open up the carry on baggage allowance policy as specified on your website and then only did he let us go.

I would earnestly request you to have more customer friendly people who are knowledgeable about the rules for the company they work for because these type of people create a bad name for your airline. This was a very bitter experience for me on my trip to India from the US which I make very frequently. I have never faced anything of this sort in the US or on any other airline in India in my past 10 years of flying for personal/business commitments.

Such experiences will only get people to stay away from Indigo for any future travel plans. It definitely has dented my confidence by having 2 instances in within a couple of weeks. I would really like to get an apology / action on such CSRs, else I won't be flying on Indigo again in the future.

                    Thanks
                    Vishal

I booked a ticekt using an online app of indigo on Sep 15. Date of travel, Dec 15, one way - Kolkata to bangkok, price INR 4421. Transaction successful, payment deducted from credit card. Confirmed by Indigo's payment partner Citrus Pay. They provided the order number and also the transaction reference number. Now merchant unwilling to cooperate. When I call them up, first they make me tell the story every time, and then say we have to investigate afresh. On top of that, they are offering a new ticket at an increased price. Why shall I pay increased price when I already paid it earlier. Kindly help

Indigo Airlines, with a tagline of, "On time is a wonderful thing" is never on time when it comes to refund of customer's amount. I've made several calls to the mentioned official numbers on their website and asked for my refund amount. Following are the responses i got from Indigo's end. Call 1 # Ma'am your amount is already credited in your account on 27th August, 13, but we do not have a transaction ID Call 2 # You have to call us after 24 hours to get the transaction ID of your amount Call 3 # Ma'am you have to call after 48 hours to get your transaction ID Call 4 # Ma'am we will call you and update you, i cannot make you to talk to my supervisor Call 5 # You again have to call after 48 hrs I am unable to come to a conclusion that till how long these 24/48 hours will persist, I've booked my tickets on 11th July, 2013 to fly on 4th September, 2013. For some reasons one of our colleague has to cancel the ticket with a PNR of K1H9NA prior to my travel. I've got no amount after chasing these guys from so long.,.... its highly disgraceful and shameful to experience this act from Indigo Airlines,

                                Hello,

I had booked a Flight Ticket with Indigo for Bhubaneswar to Hyderabad. The Journey date is 20th October 2013. I booked the ticket on 4th August 2013 @ Rs 4168. But to mu surprise, when I checked the price details for the same time same flight on 8th August 2013 it was Rs 2803. Within 4 days the price was reduced by 1300 Rs. So I assumed to get the excess amount they had charged me. I called up to customer care, and they replied me saying that we cant refund that money because you blocked the ticket from August 4th. I dont understand how ethical Indigo can be. Please lodge a complaint on my behalf.

                                Thanks,
                                Subrat

I want to lodge a very serious complaint against indigo airlines. We reached mumbai airport at7 40 for our 8:36 flight to Delhi. We checked in at 7:52. After that we went on the washroom and bought water and stuff and reached the game at 8:15 to which we were told that the flight has left. We have to pay 4900 as cancellation and reallocation charges which is so ridiculous. Why should we pay both cancellation and reallocation charges on a refundable tick first of all and secondly even though we checked in on time, there was no announcement no final call msg or call at the airport which is the norm in all airports

                                    Address: Karnataka

                                    Date of incidence: 1st May'2013

I reached airport at 5:10 am by airport bus . As I entered, I saw a very long queue for check-in for Indigo. I was in the line for around 20 min when Indigo manager called for passengers travelling to Nagpur/Indore. I went to him and was allowed to jump the line. He asked some o[censored]s to go to counter 2, which is a baggage drop counter. Since Indigo person had asked for, I went ahead to counter 2. Couple of passengers were ahead of me. Meanwhile on counter 8/9 also Nagpur/Indore passengers were called.

I went ahead with the line on counter 2. When it was my turn, I was told by the lady at the counter 2 that check in will not be done. Then I was sent to counter 8, where again I was refused to do the check-in, reason being I was late. Time was 5:45 am when I had reported to counter 8.

It was frustrating to see that this incident happened because of the confusion among Indigo staff members themselves. I was there at the counter when Indigo staff members made the calls, I followed the instructions given by them and still was denied the check-in. Indigo staff was not able to manage the rush hour crowd.

Even though I was offered a flight for next day (2nd May'2013), I had to drop the plan, as I had to attend a wedding which was on 1st May'2013. Also I had a connecting flight from Indore to Pune on 2nd May'2013. My plans had to be changed and also suffered a financial loss. It was because of the mismanagement on Indigo's part that I had to undergo this whole trauma.

Customer care response to the complaint sent by email was very poor. After reminders, Mr. Mukul, from customer care called. But he was not ready to accept that such incidence had happened. According to him, no such incidence had been reported at the airport. It was like I was bluffing a story and wasting my time. Later Ms. Pratibha called, but same response. Overall matter was closed by Indigo on an unpleasant note. Indigo airline should take care of the customer satisfaction.

hi we have booked from chennai to vizag by indigo in july as our return ticket. we were taking indigo flight after we reached chennai from bangkok by thai airways.we were 4 o[censored]s together and we have purchased a tv each at bangkok in which 3 were 40inch and one was 32 inch.
in thai airways they checked in all our laugage and no extra charge was charged for tvs and all our luaggage was boarded with out any issues, once we came to chennai indigo checkin counter we were surprised by them saying that the laugage with tv's will be weighed together for weight purpose which was shock and it weighed sround 100 kgs for all 4 o[censored]s and they asked to pay for 40kg excess(they say free allowance of 15 per person), after all the delibrations they accepted 80 kgs as free and 20kgs we needed to pay...then came a big surprise saying that the 3 tv's 40inch shall be payed an excess of 1000 each....we asked them as you are already charging the tv as baggage then why is it needed to pay the 1000 excess per tv, the answer was handeling charges....then what are these guys doing for bagage fee is it not for handeling....when international airways doesnot charge for tv's excess then why domestic charge,...it should be either tv's only handeling charge or it should be tv+free bagage, but in our case we ended up paying both baggage fee and also handeling charges which is wrong way of caluculating....hope DGCA check this type of airline jimicks and bluffing the passengers
