Sir Today for the first time I took jet airways flight for pune from Kolkata.Generally I travel by indigo airways. My flight no was 9W 0681.To be very honestI choose jet airways flight because I got tickets in a very cheap rate and being a student that was important for me but I didn't know cheap ticket means cheap service.Firstly the flight was delayed by two hours because of engine problem .I was okay with that as it was a situation which cannot be foreseen but the experience after that is the main issue which I want to bring to your notice .I was informed that the flight will not go to pune and I have to get down at Bombay and they will not arrange any other flight and will provide a token compensation of rupees 2000.The lady at the baggage counter was very rude as if she was doing huge favour for me and also asked me to sign a form where I release jet airways from all sort of liability .I didn't have much neither my friend(Samik Sarkar) had so helplessly we signed the form and took the compensation. As I was tensed I left one of my luggage in front of jet airways baggage service counter and came out.I realized my mistake and went back to the jet airways main counter outside airport as they were not allowing me to enter there again.Initially the lady at the counter called and asked some one whether any luggage is there outside baggage counter. But the reply was negative, she further tried to help me but the lady next to her told her not to do so and finally the lady told me to contact some officer .However I got my luggage when some lady of another airline suggested me to contact GVK group. Now I have some feelings to share or rather have some questions for 1)Today I had experienced the worst airline travelling experience . 2)I am right now travelling by a car, I will reach pune at 4 or 5 pm which I was supposed to reach at 10.40. 3)When I left my house I was under impression that I will have a 5 hrs flight journey but actually am having 6 hrs flight journey and 4 hrs of tiring car journey . 4)You gave me 2000 rs a very inadequate amount to get another flight ticket. 5)I am not unhappy, I am hurt. After all these, answer me a simple question why should I choose jet airways ever in my life again .What is my fault ??...May be I am not an important customer who can give you huge profits but please have some compassion for these small customer..Thanking you

Hello All Just thought of sharing a bad experience I had with Jet Airways and their baggage support team. I was travelling from London to Bangalore via Mumbai on 16th Feb 2014. During transit in Mumbai on 17th Feb, one of my cabin bag was checked in by Jet Airways staff. Not only this, but no tag was attached by them. When asked, the staff said "do not worry, your bag will be safe". On reaching Bangalore, this particular bag was missing. I spoke to Jetairways staff in Bangalore and provided my contact details. The promised me that the bag will be sent to my address. No news from them since then. I used to call baggage support team daily and they used to tell "we have not got any news from airport". When asked for compensation, one of the staff at Baggage support started speaking rude. After one week (24 Feb 2014), I sent an email to Mis handled baggage team. Since then, I have been sending emails to them for an update and hardly I used to get a generic response saying, "we are still searching for your bag". On 1st April I received an email saying since the bag was not found for 14 days after it was missing. it will be declared as "lost" and since the bag was not tagged, no compensation can be given. It has to be noticed that the bag was missing since 17th Feb, I gave a complaint on 24th Feb to MHB. So the 14 days will be completed on 10 March. However, the response I received was on 1st April after several reminders. As a reponse to the email on 1st April, I sent the following questions to clarify and they are not willing to send a response. Even the management is avoiding to respond to these questions. 1. Why it has taken so long to respond when the search has been completed in 14 days of reporting ? i.e it was reported on 24th Feb 2014. 2. Why the bag was not tagged by Jet airways when the bag was being checked in? 3. Why Jet airways is not responsible for the missing bag when the bag was mistakenly checked in by them and not tagged as well ? 4. Why Jet airways cannot provide a compensation though the mistake was by Jet airways staff by mistakenly checking in the bag and assuring me that "the bag will be safe" ? So, my advise to all of you to be very careful while flying with Jet airways. If something goes wrong, they will not take any responsibility. I refer to your email dated 02/24/2014 and our acknowledgement dated 02/24/2014. At the very outset we would like to thank you for your valuable time in communicating with us and are disappointed to note the inconvenience caused to you due to delayed baggage as mentioned by you when you have traveled with Jet Airways. We would like to inform you that we trace missing baggage for a period of 14 days. During this period we send tracer emails to all destinations as the bag could be erroneously tagged to wrong destinations. Respective airports then check all the baggage areas i.e Tagless bag room, unclaimed bag room, Custom ware house etc. We also check for matching bags held with other airlines. As Jet Airways has a wide network covering numerous destinations, completing the above activities could take up to 14 days from the date when the lost baggage report is filed with us. May we assure you that we have checked all possible areas of Bangalore airport but regret to inform that your bag has not been traced as yet. We will inform you as soon as we have information regarding your bag. Your patience is highly appreciated in this regard. Flight from Jaipur to Delhi on 22nd January was cancelled by the airline and the connecting flight was pushed to 23rd. Not only my mother had to stay an extra day in Jaipur, but pay an extremely high amount to get an airline to reach Delhi from Jaipur

I called up the customer care on 23rd for the refund amount for cancelled flight on 22nd Jan from Jaipur to Delhi, they told me to wait for 48 hours after which the receipt of the total amount to be refunded will be sent.

I even dropped mails at [protected]@jetairways.com and [protected]@jetairways.com, I haven't received any communication on the amount of refund and also the time by when it will get refunded.

I held calls twice from airways staff on 23, 28 and 30 jan for nearly 30-45 mins, and they tell me since the cancellation was done from the airport, I WILL NEED TO VISIT THE AIRPORT TO GET THE REFUND.

THE CANCELLATION WAS DONE BY THE AIRLINE WHEN THE GUEST HAD REACHED THE AIRPORT TO BOARD THE FLIGHT and to the further harassment, the airline is asking to visit the airport again to get the refund.

Dear All, I recently booked ticket for India from London for my aged parents (father 82 and mother 54). Passengers name Mr. Muljibhai Mehta and Mrs. Smita Mehta. While we booked the flight we had requested for wheelchair for both my Dad and Mom (she had knee problem so can't walk much). They where provided with wheelchair on London airport, but then on arrival at mumbai airport only my dad was provided wheelchair access and that too after waiting for a long time. My mom did asked for wheelchair and she was told that Jet Airways hasn't got any wheelchair. Later on they had asked my mom for bribe, just because they took my dad from one place to other. My Mom did gave him Rs. 300, but the person asked him to pay in '£', my mom denied saying she hasn't got any pounds and they person wasn't happy with just Rs. 300 and started murmuring and became rude to my mom and dad. Also when ahmedabad airport the same thing happen, my mom wasn't provided with wheelchair access and again was asked to pay money for wheelchair. I only have one question, the wheelchair access is one of the service provided my airlines, so why do the traveller has to pay bribe for the service. And if at all it's chargeable it should be charged at the time of buying the tickets. I would request the Jet Airways to refund me partly fares for the tickets for not providing wheelchair access and asking for bride. Regards, Sanket Mehta [protected] UK

I had used makemytrip portal to book Jet airways S2-4238 BLR to IXC via Delhi (round trip) on Aug 19 2014 [Make my trip Booking ID- NF[protected]. PNR is FKVRKD]. Issue with onward Journey: A day before the travel date i.e. 22nd Jan 2015 when I was trying to do web check in I found that flight was cancelled due to fog issues. No intimations were made from Makemytrip or Jet airways regarding the cancellation. When I spoke to Make my trip agent they asked me to directly contact Airlines for the change of timing/flight. Airlines could not offer me my second leg i.e Delhi to Chandigarh for which I was okay provided if they could put me in a early morning Delhi flight from Bangalore on 23rd Jan itself so that I can take a taxi from Delhi airport to Chandigarh. Airlines agreed for 06:45 hrs 9W 824 flight from BLR to DEL on 23rd Jan and said e ticket would be sent in few hours. As the ticket was not sent I called back Jet Airways and the advisor said that Make my trip has declined the changes and asked me to speak to them. When I called Makemytrip they said they have not cancelled anything and I have to speak to Jet airways only. During my next call to Airlines advisor told at 15:08 hrs makemytrip agent cancelled the reservation and during half conversation the call was disconnected from Jet airways (after a long wait of about 60 min). During next call to Makemytrip the agent declined to refund the money or help me to change my ticket. Agent promised to resolve the issue in 4 hours and arrange a call back which never happened. As a last hope I called airlines asking for manger to come on line and I was told that within 4 hours Jet airways will resolve the issue and arrange a call back but never called back. In the mean time for a backup I reserved an Indigo flight 6E 126 with a cancellation charges of 1, 500 INR as my presence in Chandigarh on 23rd night was mandatory. New ticket on Indigo costed me 13, 318 INR. [Confirmation #A8KSQG]. As airlines and make my trip didn’t call me as promised I tried calling airlines for last time and the manager told he will provide me morning flight 06:45 hrs 9W 824 flight from BLR to DEL on 23rd Jan and call me in an hour to confirm which again never happened . Both Make my trip and Jet airways didn’t show any interest to provide me an alternate flights for their own mistake of cancelling the tickets. They harassed me by telling to call one another, after trying to reach them after long wait and disconnecting the lines every now and then. Issue with return Journey Return journey from Chandigarh to Bangalore (BLR). Jet Airways Flight 7076 Jan 27-Confirmation #FKVRKD Chandigarh IXC 5:15 PM Bengaluru BLR 9:35 PM Again flight got cancelled, I called customer care on 26th evening and told them, kindly give me other flight on 27th, they agreed to send me on the different flight on the same day. 9W2658 Chandigarh Fri 12:55 Delhi Fri 14:15 9W7075 Delhi Fri 17:00 Bengaluru Fri 19:40 They told you will get the tickets with in 4 hrs. I did not get the ticket till 27th morning. Early morning I called them again for checking my tickets, they told we dnt have seats from Chandigarh to Delhi. You have manage for Delhi and will give you booking from Delhi to Bangalore in the evening. Instantly, I ran from my hotel and take a cab and went to Delhi. I reached Delhi airport and somehow I managed to get ticket from Delhi to Bangalore.

My wife and kids went today to airport and they were informed that ticket has been cancelled. I've never placed request for cancellation. And I am not aware how ticket got cancelled. I happen to talk with Supervisor from the Service center team. And got to know that ticket has been cancelled by mistake from Jet Privilege team. Impact=> My wife reached with 2 kids (1.5 yr old infant and 4.5 yrs old daughter), and literally struggling to explain that none o[censored]s have cancelled the flight. After all struggle and frustration she had to travel back home with 1+ hour journey from Airport. She was scheduled to travel to attend the family wedding of her sister. And at this juncture she don't have any option of flight or any bus/train due to long weekend. Was on call with Call center team to get help in the situation. And service center team tried there best to get alternate flight of 3:00 p.m. I did inform that if we are informed at 1:00 p.m. that you've 3 p.m. flight to catch, its going to become difficult. And needs to be informed to ground staff of the help my family shall require at airport. Finally around 1:00 p.m. my wife is informed that her ticket is booked for 3 p.m. Family again started from home hearing that, to reach airport. And on the way made required tax payment etc. to IVR. By the time they reached it was 2:00 p.m. No ground staff to help out. She had to struggled to get infant ticket booked, and by the time she reached the check-in counter it was around 2:10 p.m. she is informed that gates are closed. No body to listen and understand the situation. As a solution being provided option to new ticket assigned new ticket for tomorrow morning. When I asked my wife to enquire for the Supervisor, one person for ground staff turned up and said that he'll help. On talking with him realized that he is not aware of the background and situation. He is only clear of one thing, that he can guide with new ticket booking for next day morning. Family was made ping-pong from home to Airport twice, without any mistake of ours. Sad part was nobody to listen and understand the pain family had gone through. And worst part was that getting next day ticket was also not smooth, for that too she had to struggle across multiple counters wait for long. One of the worst experience ever had for my family with Jet Airways. Will remember for my life, with deep pain. Not aware of whom to approach to convey the situation and pain that family had to go through. And who's accountable for these ? Probably somebody from Jet Airways team may listen & help in addressing the issue. Hence dropping note on this forum. Thanks, Hemal.

My parents and siblings had their flight from Chandigarh to Munbai on 25th Dec 2014 at 12:15 pm. After reaching Mumbai they had to reach to Pune by bus. So their total journey was approx 6 hrs. On 25th morning at 9:52 we got a message from Airline that the flight is delayed and will depart by 14:00 hrs. After that we again got message at 10:45 that flight is delayed and it will depart at 15:10 hrs. After that we didn't get any message and my parents reached airport at 14:00 hrs. They were told by tha Airline people that fliaght has got cancelled. Thaty didn't inform about any cancellation, they just informed about delay. This is the biggest falult hence so much inconvenience was caused. So i started talking to airline customer care. They told there are no flights for today. You can only get flights on 26th dec and that too from Delhi to Mumbai. Choosing this option my parents journey increased by 6 more hrs. So now they had to travel from Chandigarh to Delhi by bus after that flight from |Delhi to Mumbai and then again bus from Mumbai to Pune. Now their journey became approx 11 hrs and that too after wasting a whole day of 25th dec. I requested them to arrange a flight from Delhi to Pune or from Chandigarh to Mumbai but no one agreed. I asked them to arrange a transport from Chandigarh to Delhi or provide a hotel at Chandigarh but they didn't agree for anything, My parents suffered from all this, they had to pay for the Hotel, they had to pay for the fare from Chandigarh to Delhi and moreover they had to travel for extra 6 hrs by bus. What is the use of booking a flight if you have to travel by a bus for such long hours?? They didn't even informed about the cancellation...?? I will never book my tickets for this airline and even i will tell all my friends about this. I will never recommend your airline to anyone. Such poor services you provide. It has been one month no refund nothing has been provided. I want refund for the extra fare and I want compensation for all that inconvenience caused to my parents and siblings. Kindly look in to the matter i will be waiting for your action. The worst experience ever which can happen to any individual was the treatment which I had received from the most renowned airline company in India. This was just not expected from such an expert and customer oriented company. My Dad was suppose to travel from Mumbai to Delhi on 24th January, 2015 through Jet Airways morning 7:0 0 flight. Keeping in mind the 45 minutes restriction we had reached airport gates by 6:05. It was too crowded that morning. My dad joined the long cue at counter no 41of jet airways at around 6:08. Considering the long que there should have been announcement from the airline personnel but no such efforts were made from the airline staff and when he reached the counter he was told that he cannot board the flight as he was late for boarding. He just had a handbag and he had offered the personnel that there is no check-in of any luggage required so that would save time. But they were stringent. This was just not all. After almost 30 minutes my dad observed that there was a flight from Mumbai to hyderabad and the staff had just made one small announcement (barely audible) for the last call. I mean how is the customer going to know about any such activities if they are not informed. The airlines need to understand that these tickets are non refundable and considerable amount of money is spent did such tickets. Just simply saying no won't suffice. Their behavior was the worst experience for my dad. And there was not just financial loss but my dad could not make the trip at all. It was a family function which he had to miss due to this incident and it was a little bit embarrassing too. I hope that the company is made answerable for such an event and more effective communication method should be adopted for the passengers not boarded on the flight.

Hi, I'm Pankaj Bhardwaj, I booked two jet airways flight tickets (9W-7125) Delhi to Bangalore on[protected] and my flight's timing was[protected]:10 Hrs. We needed to reach bangalore today urgently for a meeting, Me and my friend reached airport by 11:00, There was too much rush on luggage check in counters and Jet airways supervisors also were not on their desk, We asked them many times to provide us boarding pass as soon as possible but no one wanted to listen to us, they were busy in handling AIR INDIA customers. Somehow after waiting for almost half hour we got our boarding pass by 11:25 (Seat 11E and 36D) but we were told that we need to carry our luggage as hand baggage. As soon as we got our boarding pass, we hurried up and proceeded for security check gate but again there were around 50 people in that line, we asked security personnel to allow us to skip line but they didn't allowed that and when we reached security gate it was already 12:10 and, we got sms on our cell that flight was departed.

I am Dr Seema Diwan. I was traveling on 21 Jan 2015 on Jetairways flight from Delhi to Dehradun., Flight no 9W839. I faced so much problem at luggage checkin counter. First of all, there was a long line for waiting. Being a female, i can not push big guys. Many people push the line and enter. There was no body to control this. After 2 hrs, i reached the counter. There was a person whose name was Prabhat. He was so much rude. In front of me, 2 guys pushed me and gave him the tickets. Prabhat entertained them and told me to wait for 5 minutes. I really hated this and asked for doing mine first because i was first in line. But he was totally numb. He also did not give me hand baggage tag. I had to stand in security check in line twice. I was really ashamed that such a nice airways has appointed so bad staff who do not repect their clients. This has been happening everytime i travelled. I did not complan before because i thought may be it is only once. But no... Kindly do something . my email: [protected]@gmail.com

i had taken a flight from chennai to port Blair on the 24th December 2014. Flight number 0613. I have paid as a premium ticket holder with this flight on jet airways. I am a UK British citizen and business owner and In all of my years travelling the world be it business or otherwise I have never come across such a profoundly incompetent handing of my luggage. The cargo staff have successfully ripped the bag to shreds through incompetent handling of the luggage. My luggage has severely been damaged and would like some form of compensation! Asap! I have travelled in the last 2 months on various internal domestic flights mostly with indigo. I am not pleased at all with Jet Airways service! I am not happy and will take this matter further if I am not happy with your response and offer. A disconcerted I would like a swift response asap Mr Anand Nagrick

Dear Sir/Madam, My Jet Airways Frequent Flier number is[protected] I am writing to Jet Airways subsequent to a terrible experience with the airline, which I would never have expected. I am a frequent flier with various airlines between the Mumbai-London sector, travelling regularly on Emirates, British Airways, Oman Air and Virgin Atlantic, and I have never experienced anything like the level of stress that I was put under by Jet Airways. I travelled on Jet Airways flight 9W117 from LHR-BOM on Friday 16th January, ticket number[protected]. Despite booking a Vegetarian Lacto-Ovo meal at the time of booking, and then specifying again when I checked in, the air hostess told me there was no record of this, and I had to have a normal meal. After SPECIFICALLY requesting vegetarian, the air hostess proceeded to give me a meat meal. Being dark and a night time flight, I did not check, and I ended up eating a chicken meal, and then upon realising I spent the rest of the flight vomiting in the toilets. I found this really unacceptable on Jet Airways part. I am strictly vegetarian, and felt violated at the thought of eating the chicken. The return journey I took was on Jet Airways flight 9W0118 from BOM-LHR on Monday 19th January, ticket number[protected], and I cannot even begin to describe the horrible experience that I went through. Having stood in the line for check in at Mumbai airport for 1 hour, I arrived at the check in desk 1 hour and 45 minutes before the flight was to take off. Upon getting to the desk, the lady told me that the flight was overbooked and that I would not be able to fly. She did not offer ANY explanation for what happened and looked at me as though I was inconveniencing her. Understandably panicked as I had an important engagement in London that evening, I told her that I really needed to fly. She looked at me, and coldly told me to go and speak to the supervisor who was sitting at a desk opposite. I ran over to speak to him, given that it was now 1.5 hours before the flight was due to take off. I reached the desk and explained, and the supervisor actually got angry with me. ‘Madam do not come here. Who sent you here? Please go back I am busy, don’t come here again’. This is terrible customer service and not a good way to talk to your customers. I was really shocked and on the verge of tears and a panic attack. I went back to the check in desk and the lady again looked at me as though I was inconveniencing her. She told me you can fly via Bangkok or Paris. She did not offer any other information or explanation as to how I would do this. Then she told me to wait while she went to speak to another colleague. I saw them chatting at another desk, not showing any signs o[censored]rgency. I myself was very panicked as it was now 1 hour before my flight was due to take off, and no one had given me any help or information as to how I was going to get back to London. Finally I went to the check in ladies who were still at the other desk chatting, and asked them what had happened. It was 50 minutes before the flight was to take off. They looked at me and then said there is a seat available. I do not know how a seat magically became available at that point, and why they did not think to tell me before since I was clearly desperate to get on the flight, however being on the verge of a panic attack, and needing to get back to London urgently, I took the seat and went quickly to the security gate. At the security gate I was told that I had no tag for my hand luggage, that it was the airline’s duty to provide it, and that I needed to go back to the check in desk to get it. At this stage my flight had started boarding and I still needed to clear security and immigration. When I finally reached the plane, I was breathless, and I suffered from 2 panic attacks during the flight. I had to make an emergency trip to the hospital upon reaching London. I was really shocked at this experience with Jet Airways, on both flights, but particularly thanks to the ground staff in Mumbai. I have never experienced the level of stress that I was put under by their lack of help and I was made to feel as though I am an inconvenience. I had to make a trip to the hospital thanks to the Jet Airways experience. It is safe to say that I will not recommend Jet Airways to anyone I know. There should be some form of compensation granted to me to alleviate the undue stress and panic attacks that were caused, and for feeding poultry to a strict vegetarian. Sincerely, Namita Dahad

The JetAir ground staff then were not at all helpful, only telling us to wait for the same flight to arrive on next day 23rd Jan from Delhi.I was scheduled to attend a selection committee meeting in Lucknow and wanted to fly back some how on the same day. On telling the ground staff of JetAir about this urgency, they asked us to board the SpiceJet flight which was leaving shortly..We asked them to endorse our tickets for travel on spice jet but they refused to do so.and We had to buy the spice jet ticket for Rs.21000 /each, costing us additional charge of Rs 42000/=.. On asking for the refund of our Jetair tickets they said it will be refunded to the credit card used for this purchase soon . One full year has passed and the amount has not been refunded yet, besides the additional amount of Rs 42000/=which we had to shell out unduly because it was JeAirways responsibility to endorse our tickets on spice jet flight and they did not do so. I now request you to refund our ticket amount along with the Rs 42000/= which we had to pay to Spice jet and also pay the compensation for the mental trauma t hat we had gone through. I hope you will not force me to take the matter to Consumer court and refund us all the above .mentioned amount. Thanks Anakshi Khare

This is with regards to a very bad, humiliating experience with Jet airways on 20th January 2015.The travel was for my parents(father and Mother) and my sister. My father and mother both are Senior Citizen and my sister is medically unfit and is wheel chair bound and they were coming to Pune for medical treatment. We have booked the ticket on Jan 5, 2015 (travel date is 20 Jan 2015)from Raipur to Mumbai in Jet Airways (Flight Number-9W-378) We decided to carry her personal wheel chair(wheel chair was standard) as a luggage and I personally called Jet airways toll free number[protected] on 18th Jan 2015 to inform that we need to carry the wheelchair as a luggage and to check if there are any formalities /documents that needs to be carried for the same. The lady whom we spoke(from Jet Airways) to informed me that we can carry the wheelchair and she marked her name against the PNR number as a special case so as to assist her with Jet Airways’ own medical assistance. There was no other information provided to me that we need to any documents for my sister to travel. Today when my parents and my sister arrived at the Raipur Airport, at the time of taking the boarding pass, the executive from Jet Airways denied that she can’t be on boarded in the flight. They asked for a hand written letter from the treating doctor which says that she can travel without any oxygen support. My father was carrying a Government authorized document for my sister's disabilities which has all the details in it. My father showed the same to them. The executive working who was working at the ground services told this document will not suffice, they wanted a letter from Doctor.(the document was verified from their own medial team) That is when my father called our treating doctor, the treating doctor wrote a hand written letter and she set the same though WhatsApp. My father attached the same image and sent the same to the Jet Arirways medical team’s email ID. The letter was verified from their medical team and they informed that they need to send it to their head office in Mumbai for further opinion. From Mumbai head office(medical team)they informed that this will not suffice and they can’t onboard the flight. My father still struggled to get it approved but he couldn’t. The ground service official was rude, insensitive and he used a line “ Aapki Beti jaane layak nahi hai” Jet Airways being so famous and promises comfort for every traveler was so insensitive this time. My father( age 65) and mother( age 63) and my sister who is medically unfit had a bad time struggling for boarding the flight. Finally my father decide had to cancel the flight and they had to book a cab to return to Bilaspur ( 110 kms from Raipur). We had to cancel all the appointments with doctor in Pune. I understand that they need the letter from doctor being an important document but they could have handled this case in a sensitive way, They just can’t say such kind of sentence“ Aapki Beti jaane layak nahi hai”.Moreover when I have called Jet Airways toll free number on 18th Jan the lady dint inform me/asked me if I have any document. I want to understand how Jet Airways is working, will they check every traveler who is medically unfit and then they will decide at the spot whether he/she can travel or not. This is very unresponsive attitude towards people who are medically unfit. When we are booking the tickets online why don’t you add a field for medically unfit while filling the details of the travelers. Not everyone will go to your website and check the terms and conditions. I want an answer fro Jet Airways that how do they deal this kind of situations .Just because my sister was unwell and on wheel chair they denied to take onboard her and without confirming with my father they have cancelled the ticket. What about a normal person who looks normal but have an asthma problem and he boards a flight and he needs oxygen at 40000 ft ???.Do you check every traveler or you conduct a medical test before getting them on flight??? This is so unresponsive and insensitive attitude and I want an answer from Jet Airways Airways.
