Jet Airways — Refund for ticket cancellation on medical ground | |||
Dear Jetairways Team, I have booked the flight ticket for my travel on 31st August (Delhi to Leh ) and 12th September (Srinagar to Mumbai). As my mother had severe heart attack and she has gone through the Angioplasty recently. Doctor has advised her complete bed rest for 6 months so I will not be able to travel. I have raised the concern with makemytrip[protected] and they have asked me to check with jet airways as this the cancellation on medical reason. When I checked with Jet airways, I have been told to check with Makemytrip as this booking has been done through the Makemytrip. I understand that the booking is done for non refundable category. But I am really very sorry that I can not travel due to my mother's illness. If you want I can send you the copy of the hospital discharge card. Please let both the teams know how much amount I will get in refund. After making multiple calls I am not getting any satisfactory response . Was this information helpful? | |||

In reference to your complaint, we have validated your case at our end and found that you are looking for cancellation charges waiver on medical grounds of your Mother illness. Please be informed that cancellation charges are applicable as per Airline's fare rules. This is airline's restriction and not MakeMyTrip. So, to get any waiver on your bookings, passenger need to contact the airline directly. From our end we can waive off our cancellation service fee only. Please contact airline and provide waiver confirmation from them accordingly we will process refund from our end.
