Hi,

We travelled from Yellapur to Bengaluru on 03 Nov 2013 by 8pm Airavata Bus. When we tried to board the bus, the conductor started fighting that our ticket was cancelled. First thing was he was drunk and secondly I assume the ticket should be in the hands of a passenger. But conductor said I have to handover this ticket to the passenger and your ticket is cancelled. It was a hard ship arguing with the conductor. I am senior citizen aged 72 and travelling along with my wife and daughter. Initially after fighting he said he was at fault and allowed us to board and at the next station again started to fight.

With no fault of ours a great inconvineance was caused to me and my family. I kindly request you to do the needful so that no other passengers face this humility.       I am Basavaraj and I had booked 2 tickets from Bangalore to Bellary (Bangalore to sindhanur trip) Here are the details, KSRTC Bus: PNR:H39142439, Journey Date:31/10/2013, Trip Code:2246BNGSND, Bus Number:KA-36 F1064, Depot:SINDHANOOR. There are lots of bed bugs in the bus and it is a very tough to travel in these buses. S. <Pltform> 0. Please carry your photo ID during journey. T&C apply. Issue :According to time bus has to reach dharwad 10:30 pm but when called bus leaving Belgaum at 9:45 pm and every time reaching Dharwad late reaching at 11:20pmThere is no action point from KSRTC from Belgaum Depot or Dharwad.             Hello guys This is one of the passenger travelling from trichy to bangalore on today(19.09.2013) 9.15 pm. I had already booked the ticket through online.. At the time of boarding conductor told to me just change the seat . Ok i managed & change the seat .Again he came & asked to me change the seat due to two persons are couple. right now i'm seating on seat no.38 second last row. Then why i had been booked the ticket through online this is the way they are treating the passengers especially gents. Due to that i lost my sleep on today this is the ridiculous thing. i plan to file determination suit on both driver & conductor.If they didn't reply this message.                 Please provide aI am a daily traveler of KSRTC Fast Passenger buses. I boarded this bus from Pangappara which was going to Attingal on 11th Sep 2013 5 PM. The number was RSM228 Trivandrum-Attingal Fast Passenger. The bus was overfilled with passengers including many infants (atleast 5 I could see in the bus). The driver was overspeeding and overtaking every single vehicle on the lane forcing a 2 wheeler rider to fall on the gutter beyond the tarred side of the road. When the kazhakuttom traffic was up, he accelerated and gave sudden breaks more than a hundred times though there was not an 'inch space' to move forward hurting many passengers and an infant inside the bus with sudden jerks of the bus. Moreover, this guy never stops not even near the bus stops though it was raining heavily. To my surprise, this was the same person who drove the Trivandrum-Karunagappally Fast Passenger a few weeks ago. I was to complain at that time, when he drove the vehicle the same way. I have dropped a complaint at the Attingal KSRTC Depot, though I am unsure, whether they would read it or take any action. s much information as possible...

                There is no use in posting here, or even giving a written complaint at the depot, as the staff could be united, in favour of their fellow employee, in matters of external complaints. Kerala SRTC bus drivers still think that theirs is the only mode of road transportation,
                and they are doing a great favour to citizens, and they are the owners of all roads in Kerala. This attitude has led to many youngsters moving to personal transport, or train for long distances, and has contributed to the loss of revenue to Kerala SRTC, and has started affecting the livelyhood of their staff and pensioners, but the irony is that still these fail to understand the reason for their current state of affairs. An overwhelming majority of KeralaSRTC bus crew has always been rude, arrogant and unkind to citizens, while on duty, as far as my experience go. So dealing with them, on the spot, boldly and in the appropriate way could be the solution.
                No common sense for driver's. Everyone is sleeping in that state. Ppl, govt staff, law and order

                  My name is Karthik Rajan and Im a Operations Manager in Cognizant Technology Solutions. My mother named Vatchala, Age 55 boarded the bus on 1st Sep at 11.15 PM opp to Christ College. She was asked to get down by conductor named Ravi at St.Johns Hospital around 11.45 PM when it was heavily raining as she was not carrying a ID proof. The reason is because the main passenger (my wife - Kanchana) ticket was cancelled as she was ill and my mother was the co-passenger who had travelled. My mom is new to Bangalore, cannot speak the local language and aged 55 years but ridiculously asked to get down middle of the night by Mr.Ravi. So where is women safety here for ladies travelling in KSRTC ?? Where is humanity ???                     yestarday while travelling 19.12 p.m.from Harihara to Harapanahalli, Bus No KA-09 4412, Madikeri to Kudlagi,evening, the conductor of this bus presurrise to get down in Harapanahalli bus stand at 8.30.p.m. that time i request to coductor, please wait 2 minutes,my parents are old ages they are sitting in front,

                    he started to abuse why you are sitting in that much front, if not able to get down early, you travell your own vehicle, same time i also tel it is not a way a speaking, suddenly he strted to abuse with me, what you do i behave like this only.

                    i suddenly note down the BUs no, again he come back rashly, what you are doing, it is not your father bus like that he replays and gone.

                    Kindly requeast, please guide that conductor & should not repeat.

                    KSRTC — KSRTC Online detected the money without confirming the ticket

                    I have booked the ticket through online in KSRTC transport from madurai to bangalore, but they have detected the amount with out confirming the ticket. i have sent couple of mail, but no response
                    Any body can help me to get back my money
                    We use KSRTC service for all our traveling needs and were quite satisfied with the service until now. On[protected], me and my husband had to urgently travel to Mangalore and could not book ticket in advance. We asked the conductor on the spot of a Rajahamsa Executive bus if two tickets were available and he said yes and told us to sit in seat no. 11 and 12. The bus departure time was 10 pm. After the bus departed from KBS, he started issuing tickets. He told the charge is 680 rs from Bangalore to Mangalore. We gave the money and when we took the ticket, it was written as 664 rs for two tickets. When I asked him the remaining money, he shouted at me vulgarly and left off. Its not the matter of 16 rs or 100 rs, but how can a person literally BEG for money??? We strongly believe KSRTC is paying well to its staff. How can they act as BEGGARS to the passengers??? How can the conductor behave such rudely to a passenger???

                    It is such a dismay to travel in KSRTC and BMTC buses these days, I think the system's corruption level has reached its heights.Something needs to be done to handle this, dont know whether the transport minister is doing anything to handle this.
                    I am a regular commuter of KSRTC and BMTC buses. I commute to and from my office which is in binnamangala, i have been facing problems with the bus conductors in terms of their behavior and the fraud they do to the commuters. I have had a tit wid one of them very recently on this. He almost became violent.Today again such incident happened.
                    I boarded the bus from Benninganahalli, asked for the ticket, the driver gave me an already used ticket. I refused to take that and then after lot of arguments he gave me another ticket, he wrote the balance on it.
                    To my fortune i noted down the ticket number, because i knew he is going to do some foul play later.
                    And there it is, after getting down from the bus, the ticket i got from the driver which he gave me with the balance was a different one.What is this happening, they are corrupt to such extend that for 1 or 2 rupees they will sell their moral values ?? They are not better than the beggars on the street.

                    With such a sad and desparate heart am raising these complaint.
                    I had a train ticket from bangalore to thrissur on 12th feb and because of some pending work i was forced to cancel the ticket and book a ticket in kerala ksrtc bangalore scheduled at 7:30 evening.But in a hurry, i marked the boarding point as Bangalore instead of MADIWAL ST/JHNs stop.
                    I called up Ksrtc and the repective person too spoke very rough saying why can't you book it properly.I somehow manage to get the conductors number and called up him.
                    He blasted upon me asking me to come to satellite bustand. If i had that time to travel from whitefield to satellite bustand i would have never cancelled my train ticket.
                    He started giving lectures saying you don't have sense to book it properly isn't it?
                    Is that the way a customer expect from KSRTC department.I said if you can't do the needful let me contact your Authority.He kept the phone challenging me. And i find it real tough to travel in the same bus, so again unfortunately booked the ticket in 10 pm bus mentioning proper boarding point.

                    Is it not fare .Is it like the conductors clearly understand that nobody is going to complaint against him.
                    They behaves as supreme authorities.I have seen many condutors making proxy tickets too..

                    With respect i know they too work hard for living .we too work hard for the same.So we expects some respect afterall.

                    I am the simple passenger, on 2nd may 2010, me traveled from Mangalore to Hubli by your KSRTC BUS NO : KA-19, 2803. Infact after getting the ticket i just simply asked to conductor that where did u stop the bus for Dinner?? He told Shirur - shivadarshan hotel. Many passangers argues with that conductor that can they please stop the bus any other places, but conductor not agreeing & telling its KSRTC decision.

                    As you know the HOTEL SHIVADARSHAN is not good hotel & we have to forcefully to take food, & we dont have a option to go other hotels, & the food quality, even rates are not even touched to any passangers. If we asked to hotel owner, he telling OUR PRICE IS LIKE ONLY. IF YOU WANT TAKE THIS.. Always all passangers get irritated with your HOTEL SHIVADARSHAN's food & rates. But conductor & drivers takes NONVEG dinners in same hotel. Is there any meaning in this?? then why the difference to passangers & staffs?? If we ask to your staffs, they telling, if you dont like the hotel CHANGE THE BUS... We dont have option to go other hotels, But hotel owner has option to get other passangers.

                    My request is please change the DINNER BREAK PLACE TO bhatkal, so that, passangers can select the hotels & they have to food peacefully. At least you people take care of passengers also. Bus cannot be stop at Jungle places. It should be stoped to CITY places where passangers can take food, with many options.

                    Hope you people take it in serious way, or i will put the same in MEDIA...

                    KSRTC should take immediate remedy of such complaints where public money is blocked while e-booking. KSRTC does not bother to acknowledge such complaints and distant comuters are harassed by the staff sitting on helpline desks. They are not seems to be competent to deal such complaints and are unskilled workers. In my case my 820/- Rs. were debited while booking e-ticket from Ooty to Bangalore. My OB no. is 2250298 .                     KSRTC — Excess ticket fare by conductor

                    Hi, Every week end Friday, i used to travel from Bangalore to Chennai by Rajahamsa service. Actual fare is Rs 243.The problem is coductors are asking Rs100 in excess to the actual fare. If not given they are not ready to allow to board inside thebus. There is nobody to complaint at that time 10.30pm. Drivers also supportive to this since they are getting their share. Rs100 excess is almost 41% of the ticket fare.
                    Please take neceesary action.

                    Respected Sir, I have a complaint against a conductor of city service bus no. RAC 632,
                    operated from Peroorkkada depot. I am residing at Mavelikara and working at TVM in Land Revenue Department, Public Office Building, Museum Jn. I am daily depends on bus from Thampanoor to Museum Jn. to reach my office and vice versa. The incident arises against the complaints on[protected] around 4.40 PM. I get into the bus at Palayam and bought a ticket to worth Rs. 4/- in order to get down at Statute stop and gave Rs. 10/- to the conductor. The conductor asked me to give tender change for the ticket, at that time I have only ten rupee note and one rupee coin this facts conveyed to the conductor. He told me the balance will be given either any tender change received or before you get down at statue stop. He did not do that, I noticed that, he give balance as change to some other passengers take ticket to East Fort they are take ticket even after me. I questioned to the conductor this is not a manner. Why shouldn't you give me the balance, He replied that, you don’t teach any manner to me, if you want to the balance you should come to East Fort other wise travel with tender change, at that time the bus reached Statue Stop I have to get down at Statue. I am again asked to the conducted give me the balance. But he didn't hear my words. I stood some more time inside the bus at Statue, I knew that, he is not willing to give back the balance and also think that this may causes more problems to the other passengers, then I trying to get down the bus, suddenly the conductor rang the bell before I get down, the door forcely hit my right shoulder and my shirt has torned at the right shoulder. This may causes some financial as well as mental difficulties for me.

                    KSRTC Vehicle is a Public Transport vehicle, so KSRTC have to preserve the public interest. The conductor has spoken to me some indecent words between the other passengers
                    The conductor is liable to give the balance amount, because he issues the ticket. He is abetted me to travel from Statue to East Fort with out ticket. He rang the bell before I get down the bus and trying to hurt to me.

                    Yesterday ,I went to drop my sister to the bus stop in majestic. She had 4 bags of luggage & they were quite heavy. The conductor checked her ticket & let her in. I followed her to keep the luggage inside the bus, as she couldn't lift them all. The conductor asked me to get down from the bus ( very aggressively , like I had committed a 'Sin' ) . When i asked him why , he burst out saying you can't enter the bus without a ticket . I told him politely, I 'll just keep her luggage & come out. N he was like, No she can manage on her own, you first come out . I mean How dare he even say that. It's not that we are traveling in their bus for free !!!

                    Hope the conductor is thought some basic mannerism on how to talk to customers, even before driving !! They really need some lessons on this.

                    KSRTC — Didn't receive balance amount

                    My name is Athira. On 6th of september 2012, i travelled with my mom from thrissur to ernakulam by KSRTC at 7am. I gave the conductor 500 rupees and 8 rupees. The amount was 108. We forgot to collect the balance amount.

                    Let me begin with the appreciation for the quality of buses you have. However the staff need serious training on courteous speech and behaviour. I traveled with my daughters on 22 Oct by the night service form Mys to Ernakulam by the 1735 hrs bus.
                    (1)The conductor refused to give us blankets at 8 p m when my daughters were starting to feel cold and also wished to sleep.We were told that the blankets would be given only after the halt for dinner.However, I got only one blanket. The conductor and driver gave different reasons for not giving them-one was that customers get off with the blankets and the other was that they have to fold so many of them!!!To this I asked if he could atleast give passengers travelling to the last stop, the blankets and to that he said he would do so only at Calicut-(11 pm).Does this 'new' policy means that you expect us to stay awake till 11p m waiting for blankets and suffering the cold when the journey ends a mere 5 hrs later?
                    (2) The toilet facility at dinner halt at Sultan Battery is very poor. The hotel has taken many months to renovate the place.The toilets have new tiles but no commode!!!A hole in the floor serves as an outlet for the refuse! It is SHOCKING that an esteemed service such as yours is party to this..We were further shocked to see a man come out of the ladies toilet!!.Some serious steps need to be taken to make the dinner halt a safe and hygienic stop as many ladies travel on this route.
                    (3) The driver and conductor should speak to each other in softer tones as it disturbs the passengers.
                    When the bus stops at a town they should not shout to wake up all the passengers. It is extremely rude. They have a list of which passenger gets off at these places, and the best thing to do would be to walk up to the passengers and wake them. This happens in long distance trains, so it is possible on buses too.

                        BUS REG No:- KL-15 5187 Date:- 21-Aug-2013 Time :- Between 7PM & 8PM Place :0- Vyttila, Kochi I was travelling from Palarivattom to Vyttila on Cherthala bound KSRTC Bus (Ordinary) Venad or Thirukochi not sure. It happened to be one passenger who was drunk i guess was talking to the Bus Driver on not stopping at Palarivattom properly so that all the passengers can get in. I was waiting for Vyttila Stop, As soon as Vytilla was approaching i came near the door where conductor also was standing and i told the conductor that i need to get down at Vyttila (Time was arround 7.30PM, 21-Aug-2013) The conductor was least bothered, as i reitterated the same conductor replied he has ringed the bell but he never did. there were more passengers who had to get down at the same stop who started shouting as the driver never stopped at Vyttila Bus Stop. They drove all the way after the junction and upon repeating to stop the bus the driver replied i would stop this bus only when we reach chertala. If this is the attitude these people carry towards passengers i would give a complaint against KSRTC Operations at the High Court. I want prompt action taken towards these two employees of KSRTC. The driver & Conductor who was least bothered about the passengers particularly the women passengers in the dark hours. i had to catch an Auto and pay extra Rs.20 apart from the normal fare from vytilla for reaching my Home.

                        KSRTC — Rude behaviour of Conductor

                        I boarded the bus in pavagada on 10th june 2012 at 3.30 pm.I was carrying a tv to bangalore. Conductor told me that luggage ticket cost is 70(which is also not as per rules).I paid 70 for that but he gave me a ticket bearing only 36 rupees.I asked him the remaining money.He told me to get down from the bus.When I fired back he started shouting at me and scolded me with bad words.Then after some argument he agreed to give the change in bangalore and he wrote he change to be paid at the back of ticket. When I asked change in bangalore near navarang stop, he threw my ticket from window and asked me where was the proof for change.

                        When I told him that I am going to complain against him,he said nothing is gonna happen with my complaint.He was behaving as if he owns that bus.The authority has to take some action against such rude conductors so that people wont suffer in future.

                          Respected sir,
                          Being a regular user of ksrtc services , I recently encountered a very rude
                          n ugly behaviour of a bus conductor yesterday! The bus number is KA 1297 rajahamsa executive!
                          My bus was scheduled at 10 50 pm at k.r.puram Ganesh temple bus dint arrive
                          till 11 30 pm so I was forced to make a couple of calls to the crew no sent
                          by krtc before the schedule time. Conductor after reaching my point shouted
                          and created a drama since I called up two times! If a customer is abused just because we made a phone call to the Crew is not justifitied. I was really upset with the bus conductors attitude and treatment towards me.

                          With all due respect to Karnataka government and KSRTC officials I request concerned to take up this complaint seriously and provide justice to to their customers and continue providing good service for the people.

                          KSRTC — Public violence

                          I am here by informing about KSTRC IS, their is a bus route for Vidhana Soudha . the people in this bus are making violence with public including driver . kindly cancel the route bus for vidhana soudha and oblige

                          KSRTC conductor — conductor rude

                          Hi,
                          I was travelling from Bangalore to Calicut by Volvo- bus no KA01-F8912 (time 9:30 PM). I asked the conducor for mineral water. He shouted at me saying "haven't you seen water before". We as passengers cannot tolerate this kind of attitude from conductors. We are not travelling for free. Moreover since many seats were vacant and the conductor was collecting money from passengers without giving tickets. I was not able to note the conductor's name but I demand that due respect has to be given to passengers and action has to be taken against the conductor.
                          Respected sir/mam,
                          I'm a student studying in Mysuru, I was travelling frm Mysuru to Hunsur to CBT Colony. Being a regular user of KSRTC I encountered a very rude n ugly behavior of a bus conductor recently on 24th Nov at 4:30pm. On that day there were two buses to my destination at a same time in one bus seats were filled there is no space to stand also but the second bus was empty with only 2 passengers. So, I tried to enter into the second bus (empty seats) but suddenly the bus conductor shouted and behaved rudely with me. He was not allowing me and others (students) to sit inside the bus. He forced me to get out of the bus. Then I questioned him
                          " Y can't I get in the bus?"
                          Bus conductor : the bus is not scheduled now, you were allowed after that bus (1st bus) departs, so get off the bus
                          Me : then y u allowed them ?
                          He didn't answered
                          He closed the bus door and not allowed us to enter.
                          After that bus departed then also he not allowed me.Then I understood his intentions were clear that only passengers with tickets were allowed, Not the ones having bus pass.
                          After 20mins I sat inside the bus. Again the bus conductor scolded me to get into another bus. I refused again he was scolding. Then, I thought of complaining the concered authorities.
                          He don't know how to behave with students
                          I was really upset with the bus conductor attitude towards me.

                          With all due respect to Karnataka government and KSRTC officials I request concerned to take up this complaint seriously and provide justice to to their customers and continue providing good service for the people.

                            I have boarded the ksrtc bus bearing no. KA 42 F 725 in bangalore today at 12.00 midnight.It has reached chitradurga by 3.30 am. The driver has taken a break of 30 minutes for tea. In total he has taken just 3 hours to cover a distance of 200 km. I.e. an sverage speed of 67 km per hour which is not desired. I strongly feel that because of this type of reckless driving our lives are put to stake. I strongly recommend to initiate disciplinary action against the driver inthe interest of safety and also as a messsge toall other drivers.
                            I appreciate an acknowledgement of having tsken action against erring driver. Regards. Krupanidhi

                            I have boarded the bus from Raichur to Ligasugur on[protected] at 12:00pm and reached by 2:30 pm. During this travelling the driver has driving the vehicle in rash manner he is not at all seeing speed breakers on road just crossing over the speed breakers with speed. I have asked him to go slow but he responds that blaming on bus i am going slow only but bus is not confirtable while crossing speed breakers. My question is if bus performance not good then why running on road. It will loss passengers life. Now i am suffering from stomach pain i want to admit hospital immediately to save my life.

                              I have faced some difficulties during my journey from perumbavoor town to kalady , I wanted. to get over mattooor and the conductor forcefully asked me to get down at kalady at 8:30pm. And I had taken a lot of pain to reach at collage hostel..!
                              the bus was of chalakudy dippo with registration number KL 15 8371 (RNC 198),,,,.. I hopes necessary enquiries may take on this matter

                                Hello Sir/Madam,

                                I had been waiting for KMC bus in old busstand hubli since 8.50 pm tonight. There were few other people waiting too. All o[censored]s waited there till 9.35 but not a single bus towards KMC arrived.The enquiry counter was closed, and no response on the number provided. There were number of buses towards navanagar/sainagar/AKSHAY PARK that had hardly any passangers. The police person there so carelessly says to take some bus to the gate and walk from there. And after when I get down at the gate and walked towards the hospital, with HDMC's grace, not a single light was there.

                                Of all the empty Akshay park buses(arrives every ten mins and is empty), can one bus not be routed towards KMC.
                                OR
                                Why cant there be any board that dispalys the timings of buses. Atleast then people wont waste their time waiting.
                                OR
                                Atleast can there be shuttles from KMC gate to the Hospital.

                                  Booked the ticket from davangere to bangalore in online for Rajahamsa Executive for 10.45 bus .the seat number is 11.The amount deducted for 2 times i.e 359 for the 1st time detail is OB9220532IGJ2632794 TRANSFER TO [protected] CAO- FA- KSRTC E - T and for 2nd time again deducted amount 359 detail is OB9220532IGJ2633749 TRANSFER TO [protected] CAO- FA- KSRTC E - T the amount deducted for single seat for 2 times .Please credit the amount as early as possible

                                  Ksrtc Online Booking — KSRTC Online Booking is pathetic

                                  I tried booking a ticket from bangalore to karnool today .First time after giving the credit card details and everything the payment gateway said successfull but ksrtc said failed to book the tickets.I tried it once again but this time payment gateway page became blank after entering all the details successfully but money was deducted from my credit card.I don't have any customer care numbers also to call KSRTC guys and complain.Here are the ticket booking reference numbers given by KSRTC

                                    Hello Consumer complaints,

                                    I have been suffering from high price to be paid on our regular food stuffs such as Coco-cola, chips , biscuits which is purchased common shops at KSRTC bus stops , theater and also some tourist places.
                                    i am surprise d whether we could lodge any case against them. or is it legal that shopkeepers can sell on their own price on MRP .

                                    ex: if you buy Britannia "Good day" of MRP 10, You have to pay 12 Rs.
                                    if you buy Sprite 0.5 liter of MRP 25, you have to pay 28 or 30 Rs.

                                      This is shameful to inform you that being the most reputed bus services in Bangalore, KSRTC staff behaves most ruthlessly with the passengers of the bus...I was travelling to Bangalore from Coimbatore on 27th April, 2013,boarded to the bus in airavat club class ac volvo at 10:43 pm from Krishnamal college Coimbatore... very cleverly the driver switched off the ac as soon as the passengers were asleep... I woke up & found myself sweating like anything...where they had stopped in a coffee shop.. as soon as they realised the passengers are irritated very cleverly they switched on the ac again... and again they repreated the same thing switched off the ac till electronic city bangalore...When I got down instead of being repentful about the henious act, the driver just told me "kya madam, ac to on hi hai" and he flew away....

                                      I felt disgusted and this is simply called "CHEATING".. 1 question to the director of KSRTC... Why the hell do you have to run ac buses in town...Run Rajahamsa.. I think that is enough.. atleast people wont feel cheated in that...

                                        I would like to thank Mr. Ismail Shariff, KSRTC Conductor, as he was very kind and helpful when i had left back my luggage ( laptop, cellphone & important documents) on the bus. When i approached him, he helped me out by continuously calling on my lost cell phone & hence found back my luggage. I had traveled by Bus no: KA01 F 8484 (RAJAHAMSA) on[protected] Payannur to Bangalore), timed 20.35. I have been travelling since three years & he has been very generous all the time.

                                        I congratulate & thank KSRTC for having such hardworking & sincere employees.
