Actually
I was a fan of Services provided by the KSRTC, but was surprised to
see the rude and inhumane behaviour of the conductor of the Airavat (Ernakulam
to Mysore ) on 08/09/14 PNR : J45139424, Journey date :08/09/14, Trip Code :
1900EKMMYS, Bus Number KA-01F8434, Depot -MYSORE RURALDEPOT -2, Crew MOBILE No:[protected].
I have booked to and fro ticket from Mysore to
ernakulam and vice versa ticket for my wife and two children's aged 7
and 11 years, Concincidentally to and fro they travelled in same Bus. While
travelling from Mysore to Ernakulam there was no issue. While returning from
Ernakulam to Mysore the same conductor refused to allow all the three
passengers inside the bus till the new full ticket is not taken for
my daughter . According to him old ticket will not be considered and need to be
cancelled and fresh full ticket need to be taken for my daughter as she is not
appearing less than 12 years, he refused to see and believe the Date of
Birth proof carried by them .
My wife was not in a position
to pay the amount demanded by him but there was no option with them at
that moment other than accepting his demand, after around 15 min argument and
negotiations he collected 341 rupees from my wife out of which he issued ticket
for 241 Rupees only.(I am not clear whether he collected Rs .100 without ticket intentionally
or retained by mistake. )
I am still not able to understand on what basis he was demanding
for full ticket amount of 700 Rupees .Even fellow crew member
and nearby Bus crew members also tried to persuade him but he was
adamant, Is there is no clear rule Book and training provided
to Conductors . Does he don't know less than 12 years is allowed with
discounted fare, He don't know the basic humane behaviour
especially when the ladies are travelling alone, I request you to take strict
action against the person who is spoiling the otherwise good reputation of
KSRTC .And request you to refund the amount collected by him as my
daughter is only 11 yrs and 8 months old or change the rule books as per
conductor understanding, according to him whoever studying in 6th standard
require full ticket, . This is to avoid the
inconvenience and Insult to the passengers while travelling .
Please settel the amount as early
as possible otherwise I will not be left with any choice other than
settling it in Consumer court for refund with Compensation for getting
insulted and defamation .
