Hi, I have tried to book a Bus ticket for the Journey(Chennai -> Bangalore) in KSRTC bus online ticket booking service. But due to some network issue the booking got timedout and the reservation was cancelled. Luckily i have noted the OB reference number while doing the booking.
I wrote to KSRTC for requesting for a refund of the amount charged in my credit card Rs.615/-. This incident was happened in the month of April 2010. I wrote them 5 emails till date and call'ed the customer care 3 times by giving them the OB reference number for requesting for the refund.
Till date No action have been taken for the refund. ARENT THERE ANYONE TO QUESTION THEM? SINCE THIS IS A GOVERNMENT SECTOR AUTHORITIES WONT CARE ABOUT THE CONSUMERS? Please take respective action against this issue.

    Dear sir/Madame,

    This is A J Kazi the passenger travelling from Ananthapur to Bangalore on 5th Sept,2010.The conductor has to return Rs.50 to me after issuing ticket.He wrote on the back of ticket this amount and told he will give this amount later.When bus reached Doddaballapur i asked conductor to return Rs.50,he replied me that he has retained this amount so that i will keep the ticket safe with me till the end of journey.I told him that i am not kid,my age is 59 Yrs and he should not talk like this,for this he replied that elders only miss the tickets.Is it the way of Conductor to behave with elders? is it the rule ksrtc has passed to retain some amount of passenger till the end of journey?if not i request the authority to take proper action on this conductor and respond me to my email address:- [protected]@rediffmail.com.The bus # KA-40 F384 in which i traveled,it left Ananthapur at 5PM and reached Bangalore at 10.30PM.
    KSRTC is one of the best transport services in india as i have travelled in several state transport busses.This type of few conductors may spoil the reputation of our greate transport corporation.

      Dear Sir/madam,

      I had booked the online bus ticket from bangalore to Tirumala through KSRTC on 13/08/2010 and noticed that the amount has been deducted twice and the same reflected in the credit card statement.I had written to [protected]@ksrtc.org and the last email i got was to share my userid ,which i did and they havent reverted after that.Infact i went to KSRTC travel house to enquire and as per the directions went to Majestic for further enquiries but no avail.I was advised to visit awatar section at wilson garden and was given a contact number[protected]/35 and gues what ,it is not in service.This is preposterous to say the least and i must admit am running out of patience.We spur ourselves wanting to be a super power and the signs are less encouraging.I hope this reaches the concerned person and look forward to promt action.

        Once again KSRTC proved that they dont put enough thought on educating its staff and they never bother about the way they approach the public(consumer). I regularly travel from Sira to Tumkur and there is a non-stop bus whose end point is Banglore, this leaves at 7.15 everyday from Sira, today[protected] due to less bus sira tc instructed to allow pass
        and give stop in tumkur bipass he accepted and after reaching tumkur bipass both conductor and driver refuse to give stop in bipass they took me 10 km from the stop with abusing like any thing and told go and compliant
        who ever you want and we wont bother like that so please take action like this rude staff to stop daily inconvenience service . bus number is

          Sir,

          This is a request to the ksrtc . Now-a-days so many buses are there for the firm . I am working in nedumbassery airport and our shift timing starts at 0600am. I am travelling in the route chotanikkara - vytilla-nedumbassery. But I am very sorry to say the is no bus available through the bypass route at that time.Many people are there from chotanikkara temple who wishes to go to guruvayoor and to go back through nedumbassery airport. One or two private buses are there ,but all are routed to ernakulam. The working people have to depend upon the return taxies and gents are travelling through lorries. Being a lady employee I can trust to travel such a long distance through ksrtc. It will be profitable too. regards , cini

          Hi team,

          1)Bus 119, after 11 most of the bus not go to infosys, ther will many passenger for ther but they will go to cancer hospital only.
          2)many bus not stop bus in front of bus stand, they stop bus after bus stand and then drop passenger, and then we cant go pick up bus, bcz when will go ther bus go from ther.bcz they know if they will stop bus ther they have to go infosys .
          3) Let me know when bus will full and will go then we always paid full ticket, then if passenger is not much then they have to go ther.
          many time we not get any set but we paid na then they have to go...

            Subject - I faced a serious issue with KSRTC (Rajahamsa Executive bus service)

            On friday , August 6th 2010, KSRTC Rajahamsa Executive bus has started from the stop before the departure timing and I missed the bus. Please find the bus details below.

            Bus details :
            The Rajahamsa Executive bus (from bangalore to chennai) starting point from shanthi nagar 10:21 pm and KMF @ 10:30 pm

            I was there at the stop ontime(10:30) but the bus had already started before the departure time. When I called up the enquiry no , I was told that the bus is in traffic and is yet to come and I waited for the bus next 1 hour. I was alone in stop till late night.Then another bus(departure timing 11:10 pm) came, and when I enquired with them , I was told that the bus had already left. The driver tried to cheat me by asking me to give Rs200 and not to escalate the issue to the KSRTC Higher officials.But since I wanted to escalate my concern I did not board the bus and the driver asked me to get down.

            Another lady, who's bus was at 10:40 also had missed her bus bcoz the bus had started before the departure time.

            Incase the buses are scheduled to leave early atleast the passengers should be guided properly and provided with necessary information.

            Due to this indifferent behaviour of KSRTC drivers/Conductors , I neither got my ticket money back nor got another bus to board in and was left all alone in late night.

            I request you to take appropriate action against this concern/issue. Looking forward for a positive response .

              Dear Sir:

              Sub: Change of timings of bus route from Mysore to Somwarpet starting from Mysore at 5.45 am

              We have been traveling to Somwarpet for the past 6 months, some o[censored]s from Mysore and others from Kushalnagar. There was previously, one bus starting at 8.00 am from Kushalnagar. The bus has been cancelled for reasons unknown. The bus to Subramanya via somwarpet, bisle starts from Mysore at 5.45 am and reaches Kushalnagar at 7.50. Till recently, the bus used to leave Kushalnagar at 8.30 am. The timings was convenient to both for people traveling from Mysore and others from Kushalnagar as the bus would reach Somwarpet at 9.15 am. For the past one week, the bus has been leaving Kushalnagar at 8.05 am and the official incharge is unable to give correct reasons for the sudden change of timings of the above bus. The next bus to Somwarpet is at 9.30 from Kushalnagar leaving a wide gap of nearly 1 1/2 hours. During this time, there are innumerable private buses running full . The reasons stated by the drivers and the official incharge in KSRTC is that, the collection in the above route if poor. If such is the case, why are the private buses thriving in the area at the cost of lack of public service during the peak hours? KSRTC being a public transport should provide service to the people at large keeping the peak hour considerations. There are quite a few officials from banks, taluk office, KEB, LIC, teachers and others who are put a lot of inconvenience due to lack of state buses in the route during this time.

              In consideration of the reasons stated above, I request you Sir to kindly revert to the old timings of the bus starting from Kushalnagar or otherwise kindly delay the timings from 5.45 am to a later time.

                Hello Sir,

                This is Srinivas,

                This morning [july 26, 2010] when I was coming to office i had stopped my bike because of signal, The KSRTC bus regno: KA 30 - F - 1621 just came and hit my bike from back due to which the back panel and tail light was broken. This was happened around 9.30 am morning.

                When asked the reason the driver { Mr. Kanaka] was very rude on me and the traffic police was standing idle and enjoying the show.

                Kindly help to take some action on KSRTC Bus driver Mr Kanaka and the conductor.

                Dear sir,

                Yesterday evening i.e. on 5the Feb 2013 at 6.15 PM, KSRTC Bus No.KA-42-F-1368 (Gadag-Bangalore) took right turn in front of thee Church (near Majestic railway bridge), where he is not supposed to take right turn. Inspite of Traffic police stopping he simply rushed by damaging my left front side of Maruthei Car (KA 02 P 1437). The body and Left front Lights completely damaged. When was about to stop him, he didn't care and simply went to KSRTC bus stand. When I was screaming, thee Conductor says you come theere and Bus didn't stop at all. Pl take action on thee Conductor and Driver bothe for not caring for Public. I need compensation from KSRTC.

                  This is regarding a trip from Ooty to Bangalore on KSRTC Rajahamsa bus at 11,July 2010. The driving by the bus driver was one of the worst rash drivings i have seen in my life. Everyone in the bus was holding their life in the hand because of the reckless driving by the driver. It is high time KSRTC put some restrictions on the speed of the bus also on the driver's careless attitude. Everyone in the bus was expecting a bad thing to happen but thankfully we reached safely.

                  Earlier during the month of May 2010, the rajahamsa bus which i went from bangalore to trichy was toppled down and by God's grace only 2 people were injured. No one even cared about to arrange bus for the passengers.

                    My name is D.Hussain, working in private company.I travelled through KSRTC bus from Anantapur to Penukunda on 09/07/2010 at 11PM with my wife.I am very new to this place, so i requested conducter inform me at penukunda bus station.But driver is very fast and he moved 2km so far from the bus station.At that time my co traveller informed me the bust station left.

                    I requested conducter stop the bus and drop at my stop, bcz my wife is pregnent and it's mid night 12.15pm.At that place no vehicles OR Taxi's not available.Driver using with bad and abuse language with my wife and me when we asked to drop.So many people asked to drop.

                    But, he is not agree. Please take action on driver and conducter .

                      This is an unexpected incident that happened to me while traveling from Bangalore to Hyderabad on July-4-2010.
                      Bus Timing: Departure: 8:40 P.M. - Arrival time: 8:00 A.M (next day)
                      Bus Number: KA-40 F - 352. (RAJA HAMSA)
                      Bus Seat Number:32
                      I reached Bangalore Majestic Bus-stand at 8:38 pm as there was heavy traffic on the way towards majestic bus stand. I stood in front of the bus and started waiting for the conductor. I gave the ticket to the conductor as my ticket was already booked in advance, he said me that he will mark the ticket and will give me back. I requested him to give back the ticket saying him that you can collect the same from me after I am seated in the bus. He said he will mark and give me back and went inside the bus to mark it. I was waiting at the same point .i.e outside (front of the bus) where I gave him(conductor) the ticket so that conductor could return back the ticket in the same point of place. After a while, I saw the driver and told him that conductor has took the ticket from me. he told me that conductor is inside the bus and asked me to collect the ticket from him. I went inside the bus to get the ticket and demanded my ticket back from the conductor. To my surprise conductor is telling me that he has gave my ticket back but he has not given the ticket back at all. I am very sure he has not given me the ticket. he humiliated me a lot in front of other passengers. That was not enough from him,I repeatedly asked him that you have not given me the ticket but still both driver and conductor started fighting with me. They said they cannot allow me to go in the bus without ticket. Conductor agreed that he has taken ticket from me. but he said that he cannot allow me to go in the bus without showing ticket. He took me to senior inspector I explained all the things to Senior inspector about it but for my fate even he said the same that they cannot allow me to go in the bus without showing ticket. Could anybody explain me how will I show the ticket which is not given back to me?. I told the Senior Inspector to check the name of the passenger in the trip sheet and match it with my ID card (PAN Card). But he was not convinced at any point.

                      I am working professional, I have a very important meeting to attend next day in the office. I cannot afford to miss this bus as all others bus are full and there was a strike next day. I was forced to pay the ticket for the paid ticket for the same seat once again. JUST REQUESTING THE AUTHORITIES TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST SUCH CARELESS CONDUCTORS.

                      Proof: Please check my name in the trip sheet for the seat number 32 and I have also have another ticket which I was forced to pay same ticket once again.

                      Requesting all my friends and brothers to be cautious while traveling in the KSRTC buses as you could face the same problem like me. I know my money is gone and I am not going get it back.

                      Today evening i travelled from Belgaum to Nipani in KSRTC Pune Shirdi bound Bus. The bus No. is KA42 F 1175.This bus belongs to Savadatti Depot in Belgaum District. Bus left Belgaum at 8.45 pm and reached 10.00 pm. No issues.

                      I am a senior citizen and requested for the concession in the fare. To vouch my claim i showed my voter card original. The conductor verified it for few minutes and returned the card. However he has issued me the regular ticket without the discount. I am above 60 years of age but not crossed 65. Conductor argued that the concession is available to the seniors who have crossed 65 years. The situation has put me into embarrassment before the other passengers. I felt insulted. Ticket No.127935 dated 06/01/13 time 20.36

                      Recently i have read in the paper that the concession is extended to the seniors above 60 years. Am i correct KSRTC ?. If so refund the amount.

                        We have booked ticket through net on 28/3/10 at 10.30 pm twice and that transaction could not completed but amount has been deducted from my account. Same has been complained to bank next day then they send the complaint to KSRTC for further action but till date no response from KSRTC. Today bank officials asked us to call KSRTC directly, so we dialed to [protected], they instructed to log a complaint through net. Kindly note below detail

                        I have booked E-ticket twice from Manglore to Hubli vide your OB Nos.OB3173340 and OB3173390, but both the times the tansaction declined and the ticket not confirmed, bu the amount of Rs. 537 and Rs. 537-00 has been debited to my icici Credit Card,

                        Kindly cancel the same and refund the above amount immed.

                          Hi all,
                          I have escaped a near fatal incident yesterday night, which could have been easily avoided.

                          Details: KSRTC volvo Airavat from hyderbad to bangalore, start:20.00hrs from JBS.
                          Single driver. Around 3am, we were woken up by two forceful jolts. The confused passengers could smell diesel, and heard words, "get down" and "diesel leak". And while getting down, we saw diesel flowing under our feet. By the time everyone got down, the tank was empty, and bus was in a pool of diesel.

                          Reasons: The driver didn't take the necessary diversion, and went above the big boulders on the blocked road. Not sure if there was any road divert sign board. within the 40 min desperate wait for reaching help from KSRTC depot, we saw all other buses,cars correctly taking the diversion. It is said that the driver was new to this route. One small spark while braking would have been sufficient to burn us all with the 200litres odd capacity of the fuel tank.
                          Finally we had stopped a passing by Rajahamsa bus, which happened to be empty enough to accomodate us all.

                          Since we had an escape, this incident might not be reported anywhere, but we the passengers know that we had such a close encounter, and just feel lucky for being alive.
                          1.So isnt it the KSRTC's resposnibilty to properly train/guide about the route?
                          2. Had there been co-driver, there are much chances of spotting the whole road blocked with big boulders, in case one of them just didnt notice due to any reasons.

                          Why not follow all safety rules, instead of condemning, inquiring, and giving compensation after the such fatal incidents happen?

                            Dear Sir,

                            Please do not consider this as a complaint but consider it as a suggestion.

                            Although there is a bus service from Mangalore to Pune at 1600 hrs daily but it is not shown in its reservation website on the internet. Hence it is not possible to reserve the seat in this bus online. It is the only bus of KSRTC between Mangalore and Pune.

                            You are therefore requested to amend the website so that reservation of seat may be done in this bus online also.

                              Sir, IT is very much regret to note that the Divisional Manager of Bagalkot NWKSRTC Division Navanagar Bagalkot is totally working under the partnership of the Rani channamma and SRS travels. Daily the said travels are taking the passengers outside the bus station at navanagar, but the management become doll in the hands of the Private travell agents. More over the SRS buses ar camping only 30 feet distance at the nearest Relaince Petrol Pump and catching the passangers without hesitation. IT seems that the DC and private travels operators are mingled with each other and sharing the profit of the corporation. For the said acts of the resposible officers the said corporation put in great losses ie.367 croers. I am here with attaching some photographs of the camping of the private travells buses near to bus station at navanagar bagalkot and movement of the same with passengers.
                              I want to know what action your kindselves will take against the erring offier of the NWKSRTC Bagalkot and what directions will be issued to eradicate the force of the Private travell agents from the said area, further I had sent all the said photographs to the concerned minister of Transport and the CM also. The photos itself says how the private travells work over the corporation and how much the bus station is faraway from the private travell operator buses.
                              Kindly look into the matter and keep the private travels far away from the bus station as per your rules and look into the matter seroiosly and take action against the erring officer.

                                I boarded a KSRTC bus with number KA 01 F 8900. The bus serial was 500N and i travelled from Silk board to Marathahalli bridge at early morning 4:20 AM. The conductor got Rs10 from me, but never gave me a ticket. I did ask him several times but he denied giving me a ticket. I was not the only passenger who was not given ticket, almost 80% of the passengers in the bus (the bus was crowded even at 4:30AM) were not given ticket.

                                This is not the first time I am seeing this happening in a karnataka bus. This not only affects KSRTC but also the passengers, since they are not sure about the exact amount for their travel as a ticket is not being given.

                                My self Aswin from Hubli, the Ksrtc is alloting the conductor and drivers in thier native places but they are misusing the power and also misbehaving the jens student infront of girls student to show and attract the local girls so it is bad rule to allot a person/employee in thier native so please change the posting intervally otherwise they will loss the KSRTC seriously. BEST EXAMPLE:Mr. Gurusiddappa Gedi.conductor of Kusugal-to Hubli bus.(Nonscense fellow)

                                  I have travelled in KSRTC Volvo..bus no: KA.01 F 4414 from BTM bus stand to Sarjapur.The fare was Rs.30 and I gave Rs.100. The conductor was not willing to give me the change back even when the bus reached my stop. I have asked him for more than 5 times and he had the money with him. He was shouting at me in Kannada for not giving the change. He does this to whoever doesn't have change with them.
                                  Its very difficult to get our money back from him.

                                  Please have this employees trained, how to deal with people. Or make this criterion in recruitment of these people.

                                  This is what occurred to me on a KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) bus bound for Thrissur from the Ernakulam depot. I boarded the bus and asked what the fare was from EKM to Aluva. The conductor told me "Rs 12;50." I gave him a Rs 50 note. Hen then asked me if I had change for Rs 2. I told him I had a Rs 5 coin. He took it and gave me Rs3. I was expecting the balance of Rs 40. After three minutes when I asked him for that amount he says: "Ayo Saare.. ningal pathu rupayude notayalle thannathu.." (Hey Sir, you gave me only a Rs10 note ..). To make the long story short, he did not give me back the change of Rs 40. I did not want to be so mean as to scream at him. I got off at Alwaye. He was looking in the opposite direction. When I got home, I mentioned this to some of my friends who told me they had similar experiences from some of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus conductors.I am not blaming all the conductors of KSRTC, but I intend to warn travelers to make the conductor write behind the ticket that the balance amount due if the conductor does not have sufficient change to return to the traveler.

                                  I had a bad experience while traveling from technopark to pangappara in low floor ac bus at 6:28 PM on 6/10/2011. I took ticket to the stop pangappara and I was unable to find the driver information system button immediately when the bus crossed the pangappara bust stop. I rushed into the front door and asked bus conductor to stop the bus. He shouted at me and pushed me out from the bus with his hands.

                                  KSRTC — Conductor misbehaviour

                                  I use KSRTC service for all my daily traveling needs and were quite satisfied with the service until now. On[protected], i was travelling to office early morning by 06.28am. The conductor started issuing tickets, and my fare was 05rs, where as i gave Rs.10 and i took the ticket, When I asked him the remaining money, he shouted at me vulgarly and told me to get down in bus-stand and come to him for the remaining money. Its not the matter of 05 rs, but how can a person literally BEG for money??? We strongly believe KSRTC is paying well to its staff. How can they act as BEGGARS and MISBEHAVE to the passengers??? How can the conductor behave such rudely to a passenger???

                                    I tried to book a ticket. But the transaction failed and the amount was debited from my account. Inspite of repeated attempts to call up and even mail the helpline of KSRTC, the amount has not yet been credited. It's almost a month now since the failed transaction.

                                    I have daily passenger for KSRTC from in DK Disrict Sullia TQ From Kalpane Via Bellare to Sullia. Problem is Kalpane to Bellare Iam Pick up Bus at Morining 8.15am (First Bus), Kalpane Second Stop iam Pick up Bus Some Drivers giving stop, some else not giving stop . Iam want Know whether there should be stop there are not.
                                    Date 2/4/2011 Particular stop they Picked up me Bus KA 19 F 2868 (Puttur Depot) condutor Scorling me he useing Some bad words.
                                    Date 4/4/2011 Same Bus Not Picked up me, Ihave Complent Bellare TC Point, That time above mentioned bus driver & Conductor there again fighting with me
                                    Sir why giving compliant means, not Comportable walk, Iam Sufferning Diseases Icant walk more upperside or more Distance

                                      Dear sir,

                                      I have booked one ticket through KSRTC Online booking Awtar cell, but the transaction got failed two times and my money got deducted from credit card of Rs.801. I had given complaint to ksrtc online refund department. Online transaction reference number is OB1976480 and OB1976587 Date of booking is 29/03/2010. But when ever i call to them they are telling it will refund in another three days. Almost 10 days completed...

                                      I booked a ticket from Sringeri to Bangalore on 1st April 2010 in a KSRTC booking counter near the Sringeri Temple for a Rajahamsa bus which departured at 22.30 from Sringeri to Bangalore for seat nos. 23,24.

                                      To my surprise I was issued a duplicate ticket and hence conductor did not accept the same. The same tickets were issued to another 2 people the same day.

                                      We were ladies and at that time how we get another ticket.

                                      Such type of actions need to take care.
