I had a very bad experience 3 weeks back.I am a software engineer working at banglore and my home town is kottayam.I used to go home in private buses,but unfortunately i booked ticket on KSRTC rajahamsa for the date NOV 6 ,2009 .We were a group of 4 collegues including a lady.We booked the ticket 10 days before the date of journey.Our boarding point was Electronic city and time was 7.30pm..We reached the place by 7.10......waiting waiting waiting.....lot of KSRTC rajahamsa buses passed by,we asked those conductors,they said our bus will come soon.....After long 2.5 hours of delay,one KSRTC driver told us that our bus got cancelled......
How can it be possible????
We were jst screwed..the time was 10pm .We somehow managed to get a helpline number of So called KSRTC.but those aliens sitting there doesnt know any other language other than kannada..
how could they place a person who dont knw any other languange in the help line number of an inter state bus....?
We somehow managed to communicate wit him.he s not able to help..he said he dont know.he gave another number..Like that we called 4-5 numbers and atlast one helpline person gave mobile number of the conductor..We called that person and he said simply, the bus is cancelled and u can collect the refund now.......Imagine our situation , its 10.30 pm , its ok for we guys,but wut would be the situation of the lady with us...We asked him,can we somehow get tickets in anyother bus going to kerala...After requesting him a lot,he said there is a palghat bus at 11.20 and we will have to reach some unknown bus station before that.(we are new to banglore) . We took a taxi and somehow managed to reach the bus station.taxi cost 300 Rs.it was some 15 km frm our place.When we reached the station,we saw a conductor rounded by a violent crowd..Soon we came to know that he was the person we were talking on phone.....He managed to give us 2 tickets in a bus to palghat.he arranged the tickets only becoz there was a lady with us....The bus started by 11.30 .2 o[censored]s got seats inside .Me and my friend sat in the driver cabin along with another person who was also in our situation.....12 hours of journey in the driver cabin....And from palghat ,we need to travel some 4 hours more to reach our place in another bus....
On the way,the bus stopped at some unknown place in tamil nadu and we can see the driver and conductor transferring some goods from a van to the bus.....i dont know whether it is leagal or not....
How can they just cancell the bus with out any intemation.?? Why cant they inform us atleast 2 hours back ? It was not in the site..They said,there was not enough passengers booked for the bus,thats why the bus got cancelled.But the tickets was full on the website.In the website,the status of this particular bus was 'No tickets available ' and there wasnt any clue of cancellation...
I am really upset about karnataka transport and i would like to know what i can do in this matter to raise a complaint.

Ticket was from Alleppy to Bangalore for 2 people, my wife and myself. We wanted to book (tatkal) train tickets from Alleppy. We had asked if we could cancel the bus tickets from any counter at Alleppy once we get the train tickets. The person at the counter said we could not do so and asked us to give him a call so he could cancel the tickets online and once we are back, we could return the original ticket and get the refund amount. We called his office on 23rd Jan morning to cancel the ticket for 25th Jan evening. His wife who also sits at the counter told we would get approx 1025 as refund as she will cancel now. We can collect the money once we return the original ticket after coming back to bangalore.But later when we went to collect the refund amount along with the original ticket, he said that we had not called and there wont be any refund.
This counter is in Basaveshwarnagar (Pavithra paradise) and maybe the man would have done the same with many customers. He said me to complain: whoever I want to but he wont return a single pie. His name is Krishna and his contact numbers are : [protected], [protected]. I want to register a complaing against him and want my money to be refunded. Please help me with the same.
