I travelled to Bangalore on Monday, 30th November 2009, from Chennai. I booked the e-ticket through ksrtc.in at around 9 pm the previous night. I wasn't able to get a prinout of the ticket, I tried to search for a cybercafe in the neighborhood but all of them were closed before 9 pm, as it was a Sunday.

I tried to ask my friend to get it printed in his office but that couldn't be done too. I noted down my PNR number, trip code, seat number on a piece of paper but the conductor wouldn't let me take my seat unless I showed the printout. I argued that he could check the PNR number, my name on the list and check it against the sheet and my id proof. But he forced me to buy another ticket and get the e-ticket cancelled. He wouldn't even write 41 on that seat, to show that I travelled on the same seat number.

I asked my wife to cancel the e-ticket at 6.05 am but it showed "No valid tickets to cancel".

After reaching Bangalore, I tried to cancel it through the internet, Bangalore1 office in electronic city, KSRTC booking office in Koramangala in vain.

Please let me know how to get my ticket refund.

Even the same situation happened to me while coming from tirupati to bangalore on 14/June/2010.
Details of the Bus:
Trip Code : 2359TPTBNG
Class of Service :AIRAVAT (VOLVO AC)

This time conductor is lady, her response is very irresponsible. I want two clarifications:
1. Why do we need e-ticket print out as we have id card to authenticate the person and all the ticket details ?
2. I purchased a new ticket from her but i want to validate is that ticket valid one or did she given fake ticket?

I don't want to complaint this on any kstrc sources as I don't want to waste my time.

    Hi,

    I had a very bad experience 3 weeks back.I am a software engineer working at banglore and my home town is kottayam.I used to go home in private buses,but unfortunately i booked ticket on KSRTC rajahamsa for the date NOV 6 ,2009 .We were a group of 4 collegues including a lady.We booked the ticket 10 days before the date of journey.Our boarding point was Electronic city and time was 7.30pm..We reached the place by 7.10......waiting waiting waiting.....lot of KSRTC rajahamsa buses passed by,we asked those conductors,they said our bus will come soon.....After long 2.5 hours of delay,one KSRTC driver told us that our bus got cancelled......

    How can it be possible????


    We were jst screwed..the time was 10pm .We somehow managed to get a helpline number of So called KSRTC.but those aliens sitting there doesnt know any other language other than kannada..

    how could they place a person who dont knw any other languange in the help line number of an inter state bus....?

    We somehow managed to communicate wit him.he s not able to help..he said he dont know.he gave another number..Like that we called 4-5 numbers and atlast one helpline person gave mobile number of the conductor..We called that person and he said simply, the bus is cancelled and u can collect the refund now.......Imagine our situation , its 10.30 pm , its ok for we guys,but wut would be the situation of the lady with us...We asked him,can we somehow get tickets in anyother bus going to kerala...After requesting him a lot,he said there is a palghat bus at 11.20 and we will have to reach some unknown bus station before that.(we are new to banglore) . We took a taxi and somehow managed to reach the bus station.taxi cost 300 Rs.it was some 15 km frm our place.When we reached the station,we saw a conductor rounded by a violent crowd..Soon we came to know that he was the person we were talking on phone.....He managed to give us 2 tickets in a bus to palghat.he arranged the tickets only becoz there was a lady with us....The bus started by 11.30 .2 o[censored]s got seats inside .Me and my friend sat in the driver cabin along with another person who was also in our situation.....12 hours of journey in the driver cabin....And from palghat ,we need to travel some 4 hours more to reach our place in another bus....

    On the way,the bus stopped at some unknown place in tamil nadu and we can see the driver and conductor transferring some goods from a van to the bus.....i dont know whether it is leagal or not....


    How can they just cancell the bus with out any intemation.?? Why cant they inform us atleast 2 hours back ? It was not in the site..They said,there was not enough passengers booked for the bus,thats why the bus got cancelled.But the tickets was full on the website.In the website,the status of this particular bus was 'No tickets available ' and there wasnt any clue of cancellation...


    I am really upset about karnataka transport and i would like to know what i can do in this matter to raise a complaint.

    haha, , , why did u use Karnataka RTC buses? Those guys are always like this. They cancel the bus if it is not getting enough passengers. Use Kerala RTC buses, Kerala RTC will not cancel any buses without prior informations. If they cancel also, they will make some other arrangements for you to go home.

      Dear sir,
      I had book bus ticket from KSRTC on 5th nov 2010, unfortunately my ticket was not booked but the amount of Rs 727 is deducted from my account.I regestered my complaint online but there is no response from KSRTC.More than 1 month is passed but i have not received my money.
      What to do?

        I am Sai Ranjan ,9th Standard student from sullia D.K , everyday in evening (@4.45pm) i come in KSRTC 'Suvarna Karnataka Sarige' Kasaragod-Dharmastala bus . that bus has 2 doors (automatic) , today i got seat at back seat , when my stop came i stood near door and called conductor to stop the bus , he put whistle , and bus stopped , the driver haven't opened the back door , i said him to open it at that time he said 'i will not open door if there is only one person ' then i requested him to open the door again , both conductor & driver used bad words , then i ran to the front door , then also he haven't stopped, after 2kms when some seniors scolded him he stopped the bus , what a irrresponsible behavior !! i will give complaint to KSRTC tomorrow regarding this

        I am Savitha residing at Dharga, Hosur & working at electronic city Bangalore. Daily morning from 7:45 to 8:30 I stand in my stop but no KSRTC bus stops there if they want then only they stop. Daily they are not stopping there if the bus not full also they are stopping. There are somany people who will be standing to comute to bangalore but they never bothered to stop there. Some time if they had mood they stop and take all people. Why this is happening is it not there duty to stop and pick up the people. Daily i am coming through the route bus which is more costlier compare to KSRTC buses. What type of behaviour is this daily we all are suffering due to this.

          I had booked a ticket from Chennai to Bangalore on Airavat Volvo class through online booking facility. Due to unavailability of printer in my neighborhood, I took the PNR and ticket details with me to the bus stand for taking a ticket printout. But at the reservation counter, I was not provided with any printout and was asked to buy another ticket for booking on the same seat that was originally assigned to me through online booking. Pls advice.

          Once I also faced similar situation when the bus operator (not KSRTC but some other operator) was not allowing me to board because I was not having print out of e-ticket. I offered to show my photo id but he did not listen. I was lucky that there was one internet cafe nearby. So I could take the printout. Later when I investigated the issue, I realized that the ‘Terms and Conditions’ clearly mentioned that it is passenger’s responsibility to bring a copy of e-ticket without which he could not travel. In this case also the policy clearly specifies:
          "This e-ticket has to be carried by the passenger during the journey along with an ID Card(in Original) of the passenger whose name appears above. (Photo copy of ID is not allowed). "
          Hence there is no case in taking this issue to consumer forum for seeking compensations. The chance of you winning the case is very bleak.

            Sir,
            I have been using the KSRTC bus service for my travel to office from Choultry circle to LNT, i find the timings of the bus is not proper, usually 3-4 buses comes together and some times bus not comming for more than 30 mins even in peak office hours. Same way some of the buses are not reaching LNT gate, they turn in infosys gate which make it inconenient for most of the passangers waiting for bus infront of LNT, considering the distance and time its really difficult for the girls passenger to walk to huge distance in night to take up Bus. Requesting to take appropriate action on it.

            Dear SirMam,

            This is regarding the irregularity and frequency of bus services. During the evenings after 6pm the bus service from Infosys, Mysore to city is highly irregular.
            There are no fix timings. Moreover the frequency of buses is very less. Therefore we have to wait for long and when the bus comes it becomes too crowded that it is difficult to board the bus. Many people are not able to board the bus.

            Kindly take quick action on this, to increase the frequency and minimize the irregularity of the buses.

              Bus comes in same times, some times non availability of bus for longer time, taking huge time in issuing of tickets, as well bus not reaching LNT some times in the night making it inconvenient to the passengers.
              this is bring to your kind notice that no buses will depart on time to bangalore from kannur and thalaserry depot. this is causing big problem for the passengers. so they are moving to other mode of transport or opting kerala / private buses. so the remedy is u can make all bustand time check point to make it positve. kindly do the needful

                Hello,

                I had done ksrtc online reservation on 23rd October 2009 for journey on

                25/10/2009. PNR no H15216568 from Adoni to Bangalore for Karanataka Sarige through

                my online sbi internet banking with KSRTC Reference no. 0B1527521.
                The time of departure was 23.05 Hrs. and Pick up point mentioned as ADONI BUS

                STAND. I was one hour proior in bus stand but there on enquiry they said there is

                no bus as such reporting at that time. Still I waited till 23.40 Hrs. and not a

                single bus via that route came. I am the single person need to be travelled and i

                didnt have other options as i need to be here the next day.

                If there is no bus then the KSRTC have no rights to create inconvenience for the

                passengers. It is biggest problem for a lady like me who travelling alone at night

                hours. I want my money to be refunded as i have not travelled. I also want that

                the care need to be taken if the buses are cancelled or diverted from that route,

                then the online passengers need to be informed as they KSRTC will be having our

                contact information. If they inform prior then we can go for alternatives, not

                waiting in some bus stands which are not safer at night hours.
                Plz i want the action to be taken as soon as it can be. Hope to get quick

                response.

                Hello, The same thing happened to us on 2/3 Jan 2010 (I dont remember exact date but still have ticket printout with me). we were to go from cochin to bangalore. went 1 hour prior to bus stand but bus did not come. It seems KSRTC has a habit of doing this. we were also stranded in middle of night.

                  Hello,

                  This is with regard to PNR no: J15877382 dated: 19/12/2009, the journey
                  was from Bangalore to Tirupathi however KSRTC informed me at the
                  KEMPEGOWDA BS that the bus is cancelled.

                  Even after cancelling the booking through online by me on the same date, I have not yet
                  received the refund of money into my account till date. It was stated that this
                  would be credited into my account within 7 days. can you please look
                  into this and credit the amount? I had already mailed (<[protected]@ksrtc.org>, <[protected]@ksrtc.org>) and called the departments number of times but no reply

                  Please have a look and let me know.

                    My brother and his family travelled from B C Road to Bangalore by Rajahamsa Executive coach bus vide ticket No. 15379280 PNR No. J15024798, Trip Code 2120MNGKGF. They had a horrifying experience in the bus with bed bugs all in the seats and biting all over. They had to travel the whole night sitting in the bus scratching their legs, hands and body. The conductor and driver were also not able to help them in this matter. People should avoid using KSRTC buses and rather wherever possible should use the railways.

                    i do agree with same because i too have faced the same problem. there is no gaurantee that bus left from Mangalore will reach Bangalore either it gets breakdown(technical problem) near hassan or gets puncture in between... because of this we cannot reach to destiny in proper time and go to work. another major issue is the window which gets open frequently again we have to close it.

                    I would like to inform that I had travelled from Bangalore to Panaji in the KSRTC Volvo Multi Axle bus which left Kempegowda Bus Station at 7.30 p.m. on 14th NOvember 2012. We were a number of students from BITs Pilani Goa and other co passengers. The bus had so much of bugs in the seats and the blankets that was given to us. The journey was such a nightmare that I was forced to meet the doctor on the arrival at Panaji and had to undergo emergency treatment. The authorities are requested to make it a point to get the bus cleaned up regularly in order to help us have a pleasant journey. We have been travelling with KSRTC for years and this is a very dreadful nightmare for us.

                      i booked my tickets on ksrtc sheetal a/c bus on 05/10/2009 from trichy to bangalore on 10/10/2009 with my family @ time bus reaches trichy busstand, (service point starts @pudukotai) bus seems to very ordinary not even like rajahamsa, ksrtc charging fares for sheetal a/c and passengers force to travel in a ordinary buses.

                      is there any who take care of this ????????????

                        When KSRTC city buses in mysore (no. 119 and 116) are supposed to come till L&T gate, none of the buses care to do. They are not consistent in coming each day at the correct time. This is causing a lot of problem with the employees of L&T. The buses turn at Infosys premises and doesn't care to come till L&T gate. ALl the employees will be waiting for the buses till late night, and this is causing inconvenience to passengers. The way from L&T to Infosys is an isolated area and it is not safe for girls to walk through that way till Infosys at night 8 to 9. So I request KSRTC to take this issue into concern and not cause inconvenience to us.

                        The complaint is Very much true, as well i have to highlight one thing on it that there is no proper timings followed by the Buses, say in morning @ Choultry circle we rarely find buses from 8-8:30 which is suppose to be the peak time for office going employee, but by 8:30 5 buses comes in same time 2- 119, 2-116, and 1 119 Volvo. Also in evening bus starting from LNT takes an average of 25-30 mins to reach choultry circle ie 3-4 km. The drivers stops in front of the Arya bakery / road side stall towards Bharath Cancer Hospital and takes ticket for 15mins, even the avg number of passenger is 50 also.

                          Dear Sir,

                          I am working at Kunigal Industrial Area and like me not less than 1000 members are working in this industrial area. Among 1000 members atleast 40% members are travelling from Bangalore, Nelamangala.

                          Kunigal Industrial area is 7 kms before Kunigal while travelling from Bangalore to Kunigal. It will be very difficult for us to go upto Kunigal and to come back and will be minimum 45 minutes waste. Every day we have to request Driver/Condutor to stop bus at Industrial Area.

                          In the year 2002 order has been passed to stop buses at Kunigal Industrial area vide Ref No. KSRTC-Central Office Order-KST/CO/TR/OPN/TMK-04/383/02-03 dtd 15.04.2002 and KSRTC-Tumkur Dept Order-Ref No. Sl/KST/Tumkur Depot/Sl/K/251/02-03 dtd 26.04.02 for your reference.

                          None of the buses will stop and Driver/Conductor will raise there voice on us.

                          We sincerely request to pass once again order to stop all buses at Kunigal Industrial Area. Kindly conder this request and do the needful.

                          I once again would like to request to pass the order to stop buses of the below mentioned depot to stop at Kungal Industrial Area.
                          1. Kunigal Depot
                          2. Turvekere Depot
                          3. Hassan Depot.
                          and other depot buses to stop passengers are more than 02-03 members.

                          Anticipating that our request will be considered and action will be taken.

                          HELP US and will be help ful to develop Karnataka Industrial area.

                            Hi,

                            I am Girish Rao A.K. My self and my wife had tickets to travel to Bangalore Kempegowda BS from Kunjalu B S on 21/09/2009 in Rajahamsa Executive trip code 1908CDPBNG and my booking PNR number J14671827. The bus starts from Coondapur to Bangalore through route Hebri, Karkala, Dharmsthala. The bus number is KA 19 F 2305.

                            The bus had all reservation seats and fully booked in advance, since it was long weekend. After starting half an hour journey, we realized the bus is full of bed bugs. All our shirts and cloths filled by bed bugs and they started biting. The pain taken by all especially kids were not explainable.

                            The bus came till Dharmsthala. Driver reported the bus is having a problem. He took the bus to Dipo in Dhrmasthala and it was realized, the depo does not have parts for the bus. So, all the passengers were made to get down from the bus at midnight 12.30pm and asked to use a ordinary express bus after a wait of half an hour. The passengers had all categories like physically disabled, aged, kids. All had to get down with all their luggage and use the ordinary express bus. Most of the people are also need to go to work on next day, including myself and my wife. and that was the reason we booked this, so that we can reach bangalore early. But, we could reach to bangalore only at 10.30am, which was non acceptably late. And also, with neck pain and back pains.

                            It need to be noted that, we have not used the Rajahamsa Executive for even half of the journey. So, I would expect the ticket cost need to be refunded for all the passengers. Also, the inconvenice caused re-imbursement need to be made.

                            This is not a one time eeperience, but , had the same experience while travelling from Bangalore to Kunjalu B S. Me and myself had PNR number J14671826, trip code 2148BNGCDP, from Bangalore to Kunjalu BS. The bus had a break failue at Sakaleshpur. And passengers had to change the bus and board a lesser seated Rajahamsa bus with 8 people standing in the bus. After Dhrmasthala, a ordinary express bus was given. While reaching the destination it was 11.30am again which is unacceptable late spoiling half of the day.

                            I should be thanking the conductor and driver of the bus, who took decisions for passengers well to the most at the given circumstances.

                            But, with this I am putting a complaint on KSRTC, for irresponsible maintainance of the bus. I and all co passengers urge, the ticket cost need to be re-imbursed for not using the facility. Also, the pain we have gone through this irresponsible work need to be conisdered.

                              I took KSRTC bus from Ooty to Bangalore on[protected] at 10 am, the details are as follow:

                              Total Amount: 702.
                              Departure time 10:00 Total Seat M1 F1

                              The bus driver was not aware of the coolant in the engin, as a result of this negligence Bus got over heated and Driver has to stop in the middle of Bandipur Forest. after 45 to 60 mins of wait he some how manage to restart the bus, as we were getting late for our flight from Bangalore Airport we were worried. after few kilometers the Bus stopped at a eating place where other KSRTC buses were there near Bandipur, The place was bad, I think these Bus drivers and conductors get their commission from the hotel, otherwise they would have taken us for a place where the neatness and minimum Hygiene is maintained. the place were the best one to get the latest diseases like Flu or stomach upset etc to name few. at that hotel they stopped for more than an Hour again, they did not even call the people in Mysore to arrange the Bus for passengers even after knowing that Bus can not reach Bangalore.
                              I was requesting Bus conductor for the same but what can we do? we are outsiders at the end of the day.. in our own country.
                              there is a provision if Bus got any technical problem they( KSRTC) will arrange for the alternative. but they were waiting for us to manage by our own.
                              The Bus reached near Maysore palace and again engine were over heated , again waited for 20 mins then somehow Manage to reach Mysore Bus stop. It is unfortunate to see that there was no one who was actually interested in Customer's interest.
                              After telling the Bus conductor for many a time he told me to Board another Bus which was about to leave for Bangalore, Told me that he spoke to the Bus Conductor of this new Bus and need not to worry and no need to pay anything extra.

                              Now after few Kms from Mysore this new Bus conductor asked me for the money. I showed him the ticket, but he said its of no use You have to purchase new ticket now. He told me that he is aware of the situation, in spite of that he was not willing to cooperate with me. Now here I got to know the different side of KSRTC bus conductors THEY DO NOT GIVE THE BALANCE BACK, for Rs 328 ticket they took 330 and these people are so shameless that they dont even care. It was not about the Rs 2 extra, But if they do like this its Corruption and Govt will not have a track of it. and this Bus Conductor was speaking in kannada language even he knew that I dont know the language. I am 100% sure he was doing it purposely. Why such Conductors are there on such Tourist place route? if they cant have a conversation? Places like ooty, Mysore and Coonoor are tourist places people will come from Various part of country. I Felt so depressed seeing this, was feeling like this is not My country. I have to cancel my Air ticket and rebook it late night from Bangalore Airport.

                              so for all the Inconvenience occured to me I paid Extra Rs 330.

                                It happened to me again last week on 22/12/2009 at the same place (Big Bazaar near NGEF).

                                PNR J15918325, ticket number 15776167, tripcode 2130BNGCHN, VOLVO.

                                Totally un-trust ful option of pickup on the way.

                                Lesssons learnt in an hard way, not to wait in Big Bazaar.

                                I am trying to make a complaint but not sure how much I will succceed.

                                But others. DON'T EVER TRUST THIS PICK UP POINT, else you will stand there in the cold and agony and end up in cancellation your journey.

                                  On date 12/09/2009, I travelled form pune to bangalore with my family at 9.00 PM Bus Numbered KA 01 F 8525. I was having some luggage. The way they estimated the luggage was totally improper. They initially asked me 800 Rs. After long discussion they asked 500. Which I denied as the total cost of the parcel was 600 Rs only. Then they asked me to settle the matter under the table which I denied. Finally they asked me to pay 400 Rs. saying that they will make receipt., but they didn't even gave me any receipt after I paid the amount.

                                  Till date I remember the statement being made by one of the manager. "All luggage space in this bus is mine. Its me who decide how much to be charged from customer, I can ask for 5000 Rs. Or 50000 Rs. and government can't stop me doing that." How can luggage space in government transport be "personal". I told them that I am going to complain, which they arrogantly replied as "Go, Complain..", "No body is going to do any harm to us".

                                  After 60 years of independence, we just have to think what our nation had became. DO WE REALLY DESERVED TO BE INDEPENDENT COUNTRY?.

                                  Hi Jatin,

                                  Did you file a complaint with the concerned KSRTC authority for this issue? Though i m shocked to know the behavior of ksrtc staff, I think such people are encouraged if the incidents are overlooked by passengers and goes without complaint. What he may say, you should take required action on your part and persue it. There is no other way to bring these people on the right path.

                                    i'm an engineering student.i'm studying in ramanagaram.
                                    Sir/Madam most of the ksrtc busses do not allow students in to the busses, the only reason is that we have pass and they prefer the passengers who would buy tickets.At the ksrtc bus stops as soon as the drivers notices the the people wearing bags,he just drives away without giving stop.sir i kindly request you to take immediate response on it. Sir please help us.

                                        I was travelling from Bangalore to Pune in the 7pm Airvat service on 06/09/09 .I had booked the ticket onlline.I have given the identity proof as my Driving license,since the id card number was not a mandatory field,i dint fill it,but i had my license with me.Before borading the bus,the conductor started asking why i dint provide with the id card no. in the ticket.I told him that it was not a mandatory field and i showed my license to him.He was not at all ready to listen those.His behavior was very arrogant,dint even consider that im a lady !!!! Such guys should be taught some basic manners before posting them,if not teach them atleat the rules n regulations !!! If the id card no. is mandatory,in the website they should change it to a compulsory field.Is there any mail id that i can direct this complaint to some concerned authority?

                                        I was traveling from kempegowda bus stop to hoskote in ka 07 f 1728 I asked him to get hoskote ticket but he gave me malur ticket and I asked to start why are you doing like this he raised his hands nd voice ..I could make this a big issue but I don't want to get bad name..I'm sure u could plz solve this problem
