I'm a regular passenger in Aluva- Paravur route (Ernakulam Dist). Heavy rush inside bus comes at 7.30am to 9am and 5pm to 6.30pm. At these times, ksrtc officials run very few buses and makes travelling difficult to passengers . 5 or 6 buses will leave bus stand simultaneously. 2 or 3 buses among these may be vacant.
Handling too much people in a bus is very difficult to conductor and driver also. ATO's and other officers are responsible for this. Daily i've to wait atleast 35 mins at the busstop for a bus to Aluva.
After 10am, we can see a chain of buses from Paravur to Aluva and vice versa. Most of these have driver and conductor alone throughout the journey. Hundreds of litres of diesels is wasting each day.
At morning and evenings buses will not stop at bus stops. Passengers should complete a 100meter race to reach bus.

    I was traveling from Kembhavi to Bijapur on 25 th February 2011 in the bus KA-34 F-392.

    In between driver gave the bus to conductor to drive and also to his friends.

    I have the photos of all the persons driving the bus. In one of the village near by Devara hipparagi one school girl just missed an accident, at that time conductor was driving. I asked the driver, but was very rude on me.


    I tried to lodge a complaint in Bijapur depot, but nobody responded well, all are rude on me only.
    So who is responsible for such things.


    Kindly take some action on KSRTC Bus driver.

    I have phots in my mobile.. will attach if required.

      I want to make a complaint on a KSRTC bus conductor who did not stop the bus at the passenger end point of my ticket saying that this bus don't stop there and he is not responsible for the ticket I took online with my end point. So what is the use of taking an online ticket by selecting end points and by paying extra service charges?

      My PNR is J21905149. My service end point is Aiswarya Petrol bunk which comes after the mysore main bus stand. I booked ticket from madurai to mysore selecting the end point as Aiswarya petrol bunk. I selected this service only because it comes to this petrol bunk and there is an end point selection to getdown there. Otherwise i would have selected some other service or even other private travels.

      The bus conductor asked me to buy a new ticket for K.R.Nagar as that is the next stop and then he will stop the bus in my end point place. He did not stop the bus in time argued with me for long time, the bus went 3km away from my endpoint. Its early morning 4.45AM and I had to go by walk as its out of the mysore city.

      KSRTC.in — Refund for Failed transaction

      On 19/08/2012, I tried to book a ticket Palghat to Mysore for
      03/09/2012. Tried three times last transaction was success but other 2
      transactions moved to failed transactions but amount 333 Rs deducted
      for 1 failed transaction. I previously sent emails regarding this but
      not yet received my refund. Even sent it to their complaint dept but nothing worked and wondering why they are just mentioning these email and refund formalities.

        Dear Sir / Madam

        There were two failed transactions via the KSRTC website using my Corp Bank Debit card, transaction no OB3043488 and OB3043579 dated 16th Dec 2010. I've emailed KSRTC with the details and also my bank statement. However they have refunded only one of them and have kept mum over the second one. The amount is Rs.1014.00. Have emailed them 5 times now and nobody picks up the call at their number. I've been given no details or nobody even bothers to reply to me.

        Please help. I've attached the failed transaction details

          Also I tried calling on this no:[protected] but no one answers.

          I have not yet received the funds back in my accounts.

                    KSRTC has planned to cancel all the bengaluru depot Rajahamsa buses route from Bangalore to chennai or Chennai to bangalore. Planned to replace with Volvo buses.
                    Current fair:
                    Volvo: Rs580
                    Rajahamsa: Rs290

                    Middle class people who wanted to travel cant afford the volvo prices. KSRTC has to think about the middle class and normal people before taking up all this Crap decisions. KSRTC is a public service department it has to act for the people. This is a major concern need to be escalated against the KSRTC officers who took the decision.

                      I would like to bring u notice that the following billet.


                      I had booked a ticket (ticket no[protected] for 1(seat no 26) from Kankanadi (Mangalore) to Bangalore for 9 January 2011 time 20 :36 in KSRTC RAJAHAMSA BUS.The bus left me at the pick up point inspite of showing hand and shouting, because of this i had to travel in pvt bus which in ghat section met with an accident, so i reached late to b'lore and was late to the office . This is very irresponsible behaviour from the KSRTC staff. When there is a reservation it means the passenger is bound to board the bus.

                      I request the concerned to punish the staff and get my ticket refunded asap. and teach the staff to pick up the passengers at the mentioned POINT on the reservation ticket.

                      I had booked a ticket for 2 from Sagar to Bangalore for 23rd Nov 08. This bus starting point was LInganmakki and was scheduled to pick up or stop at 8:45 pm. We reached the bus stand 5 mins before the departure time only to find out that the bus had arrived sooner than expected and left the stand without even waiting for us who had the reservation ticket. This is very irresponsible behaviour from the KSRTC staff. When there is a reservation it means the passenger is bound to board the bus. The staff must be taught atleast to show some curtosey and wait for atleast 5mins for the passenger to arrive. We had a tough time getting on to the next bus late in the night though our ticket stands unrefunded.

                      I request the concerned to punish the staff and get my ticket refunded asap. and teach the staff to pick up the passengers at the mentioned times on the reservation ticket. A delay of 5- 10 mins acceptable but arriving early and leaving the passengers is higly unacceptable.

                        Dear sir/madam,
                        I am surprised to see the bus conductors behaving harsh to the passengers at times.I got into the Kerala State Road Transport Corp.'s bus number KL 15 8265 on 8th January 2011 from Valanchery.This is a Super Fast bus heading to Thiruvananthapuram. When asked for a ticket to Thangalpadi Junction(Keltron junction,near MES College of Engineering,Kuttippuram),which is indeed a Bus stop for all kinds of KSRTC buses including Superfast buses,the Bus conductor refuses to give a ticket. I told him that there is a bus stop there,but he continues refusing.Later on,the bus conductor even shouts on me and i was subjected to take a minimum charge ticket and was asked to get down at the nearest stop to my place. This complaint is to ensure that in future such misbehaviour may not be entertained.Being a loyal citizen to this country,all the above mentioned incidences are true and hurt the passengers with their feelings.
                        I hope the complaint would be considered seriously.

                          Hi,

                          I booked the tour of 4 days and 5 nights of Mysore-Ooty-Kodaikanal package offered by KSRTC from Bangalore.Tour starts on 17th of Dec. On the way to Kodaikanal from Ooty on 19-Dec-2010, driver took 250 Rs from each member of the bus, claiming that there is some kind of problem in a bus and we need to replace that bus. He promised us to give back 250 Rs, to each member tomorrow in Kodaikanal. But no refund is made. Driver mobile is also switched off on 20-Dec-2010. We made inquiry about Bhavni Travels and peoples said that this is happening everyday on a way of Ooty to Kodaikanal.

                          This act is shameful in the sense that everyone knows about it and nobody is taking any action. KSRTC is a responsible body and people have trust on it. I dont think without any internal member involving this is possible. Please look into this matter seriously and take serious action against that travel company such as cancelling their license, so that these kind of incidences wont happen again.

                          I am also uploading the pictures of the bus which we have taken during our travel for your help.

                            Today I am writing in this section is becuase of the frustration. KSRTC has one of the most pathetic customer service. Online booking doesn't work fine, Phone service cannot be pathetic because nobody receives the call. Today I tried to book tickets from Bangalore to Pondicherry online which did not work as usual, so for a change I tried the phone service. I called [protected], First of all it was difficult to find the number. After finding the number, I have tried to call them more than 10 times and nobody answered the call. The time I called was between 3.00PM to 4.00PM on a friday, which is not half day.

                            When the above options did not work, I tried to find help directly. I walked up to a person in KSRTC's so called "May I help You" counter. "May I help You" thats , sorry about the word but its the frustration you have to understand. If you walk to this person ask a question. The way he answers would be as though we are troubling him. When I approached him, he was literally scraching his balls and ignoring me. When I tried to tell him this is not customer service. He almost got in to a fight with me.

                            If you cannot provide a good service, the best option for you is to stop the services which you cannot maintain.

                            With due respect KSRTC Customer Service Sucks!!!!!!

                              I put two solar tank boxes to KSRTC Volvo Vehicle no:KA-01.F-9075 Driver name:BASAVARAJU Dated ON 31/12/2010 Departure time 5.15PM.from Bangalore Time ROUTE No: Bangalore To Trisur. He told me to put luggage to luggage box after he asking me 600Rs luggage charge Without luggage reciept. I am asked for luggage ticket for 600Rs But he didnt give that. and after reaching mysore He is not giving the luggage without paying 600Rs There also I am asking the Luggage ticket that time he threatening me he Told me like this HEY LOFER FIRST GIVE HE AMOUNT AFTER TAKE YOUR GOODS.After that Without luggage ticket i am giving the 600 rs and taking out my luggage

                                When trying to book tickets through KSRTC website, it always gives error message that " Server is busy. Please try after sometime...sorry for the inconvenience". This happens mostly during the diwali, christmas, new year & Pongal seasons.
                                Please help the consumers to book tickets through online facility.

                                I am a regular traveller of Kottayam to Thodupuzha. (Two hours Journey) Now the problem we are facing KSRTC is having 55 passenger seats in a bus. But, Only fixed for ladies 12 seats. That means from Driver side to 1st 4 seats. All other seat will booked by gents.
                                In this two hours we will stand like a fool.

                                This is a request from our side please arrange like a private bus facility for ladies. All front both side seats and front door stricly allow for ladies only.

                                Kindly consider the same.

                                  Complaint is about negligence and poor maintenance of a bus operated by KSRTC Bangalore to Hindupur was my journey, Ticket no. 018141, Date 15/12/10, Time 06:26am. As the bus was about to Thondabhavi we heard continuous sound emerging from rear wheels, driver stopped relieved himself then casually inspected tyres and started the bus as if he didn't notice any trouble. In 5-10min we reached Thondabhavi where the bus halted. I noticed people in the bus stop starring at bus rear left wheel and discussing about it. Having noticed the bus driver inspection and his casual reaction as if everything was alright, i didn't bring this to his notice. As the bus traveled for another 10-15min(8.00am) outboard rear trye on the left hand side got disengaged, as people started to scream hearing sound and jerk caused, driver somehow was able to bring the bus to halt. The other tyre got flat as people evacuated the bus. Driver couldn't find the lost tyre (For 40min i was there at that place waiting for bus). This incident happened when the bus was at moderate speed on a single road, road condition was not so good. Driver claimed that its not his fault and bolts were not tightened correctly. But certainly he(driver) was negligent other wise he would have noticed the bolts and tyre condition when he stopped after hearing a sound(and also to relief himself).

                                    I want to recount a horrible experience i had with KSRTC bus. It was during last year when I had booked a KSRTC sleeper bus (airawat or something) from cochin to Bangalore.i had booked from KSRTC website, got a confirmed ticket and was alloted a seat. The departure time was around 9:50pm at night from cochin. It was christmas season and hence very heavy rush period.
                                    we reached KSRTC bus stand at around 8:30 and started waiting for the bus which was to come from previous station. After about 20mins, one bus came. When I tried to board it, the conductor told me that it is not that bus but it was a previous bus and my bus would come later. I showed him my ticket for confirmation. He said my bus would come later.
                                    Then started the horrible waiting at cochin bus stand with my family. It was very hot and a lot mosquitoes. we were having a lot of luggage as well. we kept waiting for 3 hours i.e. till 12pm at night. I can never forget that night and the situation KSRTC put me into. The bus never came and no one had any clue about it. I dont know what happened to the bus. Due to all this, I had to spend the night in a hotel. The next day I could not get any bus or flight as everything was already booked in that festive season. So I had to take a taxi to coimbatore and then take a bus from there. I was totally frustrating and spoiled the fun of our vacation.
                                    I wanted to sue KSRTC but could not get any time out and also dont know the procedure. I still have the printout of my ticket. On reaching back to bangalore, I searched net and found a lot of mail addresses of KSRTC and I mailed all addresses and tried all phone numbers but no response at all.

                                    Dont trust KSRTC, it is worst transportation company. I will never travel by it ever again.

                                    In the night times the bus is not starting in time, in the night hours near about 12.30midnight bus reaches in the padarupalli village Near Pernambut) the road very up ( height) the buses not moving, some we are get down and pull the buses in the midnights.

                                      My exact place is Valachil which between Adyar and Farangipete. the farangipete is nearest town place for valachil. so most people will go for buying from farangipete. and for these road there was no service buses except 2( R K buses). everytime all people go by KSRTC bus only. but there was no ticket for valachil stop. always they use to give from adyar to farngipete...... while returning from farangipete to valachil we used to take ticket from farangipete to adyar. when we asking ticket the conductor is refused to give ticket because there was no stop for valachil instead we have to pay that ticket and travel without ticket........if we argue with him he will stop the bus and tell us to getdown from the bus..... unfortunately the valachil is main stop for 3 to 4 rural areas like valachil padavu,adyar padavu,merla padavu,and neermarga and 2 enginering college Srinivas institute of technology and karavali instite of technology...but we wont have any KSRTC bus stop here....so i requesting you to give bus stop in valachil.

                                        Dear sir,
                                        I have travelled from Ukkadam on 27/11/10 in KSRTC Fast Passenger (Coimbatore-Kothamangalam) No: RAE 554 (PLKD) and its my painful duty to inform that conductor didn't give me ticket and try to alight me near Ukkadam .I was not allowed to alight down at my destination chavadi, where there is actually a stop for the bus and also fare stage. Conductor don't allow me to alight at the stop and says that I should alight only in Walayar.

                                        I request you to consider this matter to your notice and take the necessary action.

                                        Yes. This happens with KSRTC buses. If the driver/conductor know about their 'dharma' this would have been avoided. They should realize the fact that the bus facility is for the welfare or service of the travelers and not to stick to the policyrules always.
