I have purchased a Videocon Kenstar Geyser (KENSTAR HOT SPRING 25L GE) on 11/08/2012 from METRO Survey No. 26/3, A- block, Ward No. 9, Subramanyanagar, Bangalore 560055.
On January 5th 2013 I had registered a complaint to KENSTAR CUSTOMER CARE ([protected]) regarding WATER LEAKAGE FROM MY GEYSER. Complaint No: BAN[protected]. After that one fellow came and opened the tank and its accessories and informed me that the main tank is leaking, this needs to be replaced. He assured to provide the service within 72 hrs.
Since then no one has come neither they have contacted me regarding the issue. I have lodged repeated complaints from January 19th 2013 Complaint No: BAN[protected]. I received an SMS having the service engineer MR. MANJUNATH M‘s No. He called me and told that he will be coming on MONDAY JANUARY 21ST 2013. So I took leave from my office and kept waiting for him till evening. It was only after 5:00 pm I called him to enquire about the matter he then told me that he is on leave. So, I called back to the customer care to inform about the same Customer Care Executive MS. NAGO assured me that service will be done by 72 hrs, by JANUARY 24TH, and also she had given me their SERVICE MANAGER MR. UNNI KRISHNAN’ NO (+91-[protected]), who also assured the same. But to my surprise no one came neither I was informed about the matter. It was on 24TH JANUARY I received another service engineer MR. SNTOSHA’S No. who never picked my call nor he called me. Then after my repeated inquires to different customer care executives I received an SMS that my REQUEST HAS BEEN CANCELLED. I had called MR. UNNI KRISHANAN many times who never bothers to receive my call.
Again on 24th Jan. night I spoke with MR. MANJUNATH, on Customer Service, he also assured that by 25th January my service will be provided by 11:00 A.M -12:00 NOON.
But no one had come then I called MR. MANJUNATH back on 11:45-12:50 A.M. then this rude fellow told “SINCE IT’S NOT 12:00 NOON, I SHOULD HAVE PATIENCE AND WAIT TILL 12:00 and provided me with MR. ASOKA’S NO.(+91-[protected]) to discuss the matter with him, but the no. is out of service. After 12:00 P.M I called MR. MANJUNATH back but instead of receiving my call he transferred it to MR G.G who also assured to do the same service by 25th Jan and also once again provided MR. UNNI KRISHANAN’S No. then I tried with a different no. and Mr. Unni Krishnan received the call and told he will get back to me soon and provide the service by 25th January. Till 5:00 pm I did not received any calls from Mr. Unni Krishnan, then I tried to call him 6-7 times he never receives my call. At 7:31 P.M I received another SMS telling my service has been cancelled. After that I tried to call Mr. Unni again but he did not receive. Then I had to call those hopeless Customer Care Executive who informed me that my service will be provide by 26th January (which is not a holiday for them). On 26th morning I called at 09:42 A.M regarding my service status, I was told that they have informed the concerned dept. and I will get the service by 11:00 A.M.
Till now I have not received any call or no one has come to mend my stuff. There is 24 hrs. water dribbling from my geyser as their technician has opened up the tank and other accessories, presently I am not able to use the bathroom as it is flooded. I am afraid that I may get an electric short circuit anytime due water dribbling from the tank, which may cause some serious damage or accident, or loss of life to myself, my family and also my property damage. I want to know who is responsible for any accident, if happens and will Videocon Kenstar bare the compensation for the loss of life and property? I have taken photographs of the leaking geyser which I can provide for reference.

    I am mahesh pol i have purchased a Ken star water heating geyser of 6 liters on 15/1/2013 its just worked for 2 days and now it is not working so i have called to service centre of realted company i have made a complain about my product the first complain no is HYD[protected] 15 days complited they unable to solve my problem till now and another complain no is Hyd[protected] is complain i made on 30 jan 2013.

    just what he is saying ke technician will call u soon thats it they saying one persons no is there he is the manager itseems his no is [protected] plz sir take strick action about and try to resolve my problem

      The worst service I have ever got. I lodged a complaint on 11/01/2012 and after 7 days also I didn't get the service. When I called the call centre [protected], a Team Lead Mr. Rajesh said that they are no more supporting Kenstar product are they are from videocon. I have not yet received any service yet. I regret on my decission to buy a kenstar product.

        I bought a Water heater on Nov 12, 2012. On Nov 30, 2012 it stopped working. I have registered a complaint on Dec 1 (complaint number is PUN[protected]) and the problem is not yet fixed. I would like to ask for a replacement since its been not even a month after I purchased when the thing stopped working. I have the warranty card with me. Please look into this at the earliest.

          Hello,

          Our food processor was purchased on 1/6/12. We opened it now on 23/11/12 but it is not starting at all, the motor itself is not working. I am trying to call since 24/11/12 on the local Ahmadabad numbers ie [protected] & [protected] but I m only been welcomed by the IVR but after that the bell keeps ringing on the reception desk but no one receives the call.

            I purchased a kenstar mixer grinder which is warranty period. last time i logged a complain regarding motor of mixer the service man brought a motor which was not a box packing of kenstar and now after a month again the mixer grinder is not working. so now we need a replacement. we have already log a complain to customer care and the service man came on 22nd november and told that they will change the motor. but the company dont give any replacement. we have log complain for five to six times. but they are not replacing the mixer grinder. i need a replacement.

              Dear Sir,

              I purchased a Kenstar KJ25CSL4 Convection Microwave Oven-Silver through online from next.co.in vide their order no.[protected] dtd. 05/11/2012 ( 5th November 2012). Delivery terms as given by them on net was 5 to seven days but they have not shipped the material so far. I tried to contact them several times through phone but they did not responded on phone no. [protected]. After several efforts to approach them through phone I did not succeeded and then I have decided to cancel the order. Accordingly I requested them to cancel the order and refund my full payment on 13:55 dtd. 14th November 2012 but again they did not responded so far.

                  Dear viewer I m using a product of videocon Kenstar Geyser,
                  for thee last 10 day my Geyser is not working I have already complaint regarding theis matter, a company engineer came and checked my Geyser according to him its working properly and he closed thee complaint.
                  But it is not still in working when I again complain to customer care on 30the oct he says my problem has been closed and theey cant open or register my comlaint again is theis fare.
                  My questions to company people why you are not listen customer problem.
                  AT thee time to Retailing theey promiss us to good service and after theat all are invisible.WWWWWHYYYYYYYYYY

                    DEAR SIR/MADAM,
                    I have a request i[censored] can help me i will be thankful to you.I am having a kenstar food processor which i have bought a year ago.
                    It has worked once and its motor failed.After which i lodged a complaint to kenstar service center sagar after 2 months they received my complaint an after than they provide me the product after 4 months which was in broken condition.I started it and again its motor failed.Due to which i again filled a complaint which was not received by kenstar.Then i brought it to indore and gave it to indore kenstar service center and it is still with them and now they asking me a charge of Rs.1000 for repairinf the product though the product is still in the warranty period.They have made me to rome here and there with the product.I am completely dissatisfied by them and i am fed up with there service.Kindly looking forward for your help to me i will be grateful to you.Hoping for your reply as soon as possible.

                      I had Purchased a Grinder cum food processor and the Product Name & Model No.:(KENSTAR) MF0808 KARISHMA, Serial No.[protected] this product is out of order/ not working last 15 days. I had contacted M/s. P.K. Trading (Authorized Service Centre) Tel no.[protected], they told me it will take 15 to 20 days to repair your Grinder, You contact our service centre tel no.[protected], accordingly I contact them and the told me come tomorrow on dt.27.10.2012 at 10.30 am. accordingly I come with my grinder today in time as they told me. but they told me that the service is not done here you go to bapuji nagar (Ambika). Then I contact online custmercare and complain with them. My Complain Id:BHU[protected] and the were told me that your problem will be solved within 72 hours. On 28.10.2012 evening one massage come to me that your Complain Id:BHU[protected] is cancelled please confirmed Y/N. I reply them N. Then another massage was come to me the your Complain Id:BHU[protected] is re-opened. Till today my problem has not been solved.

                      Kenstar-Multi Processor — Not working

                      Its been hardly 1 month and i started facing problems.really fed up with kenstar services and their phone numbers.Really dont know why government allows such kind of products into market.If at all some company guys sees this blog and feels ashamed of working in kenstar kindly contact me on my mail..
                      Dear Sir,

                      I have Purchased a Grinder cum food processor and the Product Name & Model No.:(KENSTAR) MF0808 KARISHMA, Serial No.[protected].

                      The above product i have purchased on 04-12-12, from Next shop, Station Road, Hubli, Karnataka.

                      When i went to purchase, when the box was opened there was no warranty manual was there so the shop owner gave another old manual from existing old box. so i feel its old serial no or damage piece.

                      Kindly check the above serial No. whether it's is new or its has already used one. Because from day one we are not satisfied due to the motor sound is very high and the smell of rubber coming up more.

                      kindly solve my doubts.

                        Hi,

                        I hv purchased a kenstar water geyser of 25 lt from singla electrical, sarai, faridabad on 23/10/2011. Now, I think that was my biggest mistake because it make my life hell. There product is useless, within a year i hv to repaire it 4 times. And everytime their engineer says it will work fine now but after some time it starts giving the same problem. Now, I refused the engineer to repaire this product and ask him to replace this unit ASAP. But now they are saying that they r not able to replace this, their management denie to replace the unit.

                        I request all the consumers, don't go for kenstar/videocon product because they make ur life hell. Now, I hv decided to logg a case against them in consumer court.

                          Sir, I had purchased one kenstar fully automatic washing machine since 12 years back. The machine gave us a satisfactory service since long. When I was at cuttack one person named Mr. Chitta came for repair my washing machine as and when required. One day he told that the service center of kenstar has abolished from Odisha. I remain for maintenance of kenstar on payment basis, but he cheated us a lot. last one month the machine has gone out of order. I had contacted Mr. Chitta over phone so many times, but all are in vein. Please help me and give suggestion about the authorised dealer of this machine in Bhubanewar,

                          Kenstar Fully Automatic Washing Machine — Washing Machine Not Working

                          i had given complaint to the Service center of Mumbai.
                          My Washing Machine was not working.
                          Even after two days of giving complaint no technician attended the complaint.
                          when ever i called the service center they assured me to send the tec. immidietly . but no one attend.
                          Its really disgusting.

                            Dear Sir,
                            My name is ANIL AGARWAL from Risia Bazaar, District- Bahraich……
                            I have registered a complaint on[protected] about my kenstar 2 sets cooler which is out of warranty in which cooler clamp is broken( I HAVE READY TO PAY AS IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY SO U THINK THAT WHEN I HAVE PAYING THEN NO ONE IS COMING THEN WHAT THEY WILL COME IN WARRANTY PERIOD)
                            A VERY BAD COMPANY AND A VERY POOR SERVICE
                            The complain is registered by my mobile number [protected] 45 days ago passed but till now no engineer visit to repair the cooler
                            When I talk to customer care many times, I each time listen that I have forward ur complaint on urgent basis and till evening engineer will visit…every time the same reply
                            But no work out
                            AFTERWARDS I REACHED TO LUCKNOW BY TRAVELLING 130 KM TO CONTACT HEADOFFICE BUT NOT GET HEADOFFICE..WHEN I TALK TO HEAD HE SAID WHAT WILL U DO WITH HEAD OFFICE
                            THERE IS NO HEAD OFFICE OR BRANCH OFFICE IN LUCKNOW…ALL IS FRAUD AND MAKING FOOL TO US

                            ONE THING MORE I TALK TO HEAD OF LUCKNOW SERVICE CENTER MR GOYAL( [protected]),Mr Abbas, Mr Pankaj and I said that I have talk to incharge of Bahraich but he is not listening so what I will do then he says in loud voice and using bad words that what I do….why u are asking to me don’t call me and saying by bad words
                            This is the way how ur lucknow service center head is talking to customer…
                            Plzzz take a serious actoin on Mr goyal (Head Of Lucknow service center) and Mr Abbas(Incharge of Bahraich)
                            And send an engineer otherwise I will go to consumer cour and file a case

                            Kenstar — Service not provided by authorized personnels

                            I am having an KENSTAR cooler at my Shop which is being Leak form 3 to 4 Months I have call service personnels of company but was not attended by them.
                            I purchased Kenstar mixer grinder online purchase from indiatimes.com we received the consignment but it is not in good condition
                            it is not at all starting. I approached local service centre Hyderabad. He says motor is U/S need replacement but for replacement they need cash receipt (which was not supplied by indiatimes) I booked case with indiatimes they are making case and without any solution they themselves
                            closing the case every time some new persons attending the calls made by me.
                            with this KENSTAR image will get tarnish Latest case number given to me 1425974. My purchased order number [protected] dated 8.5.2014.

                                Kenstar Microwave — Not working since 8 months

                                Dear Sir or Madam:

                                I am writing regarding complain of microwave. I have registered complain many times with the call centre. I am located at Ahmedabad. The first time your service engineer came with the old part. The part was all rusted and without any packing and he also confessed that its old part as we don’t have new in stock and he promised us that he will com back with new part when it comes. This was like almost 6 months back. Then I have again complained and they said we do have part but it’s big for our microwave. And the people over here at the local service centre in Ahmedabad are not giving us proper feedback and also speak very rudely on the phone and try to take out our fault regarding the part. what I have to suppose to do. As I m not able to use the microwave since almost 6 months. Please try to solve this problem as soon as possible. I further request u to look into the matter and do the needful.

                                I ppurchased total value of ~60,000, then they gave me points of 211 for assured gifts. There my problems started, Gaziabad area I checked all bizbazars, all said they don't have microwave or any gift higher than 12 points.
                                That is the stupidity.
                                Finally I went GIP-BIG bazar, the manager said pay the token amount of Rs.1499 and we will call you in 2-3 days. It happend 12 days no response. again I went to GIP after having lot of hassels( I am new to this place, imagine i problems!, but those people never understand). Again three managers came together and they promised to send microwave by Tue's day. One person called Jay Kumar he gave his personel number, Tuesday i tried his mobile a lot, it always says switched off.

                                I spent atleast Rs.500 for visiting differnt big bazars excluding my mental tention and hard work in hot summer.
                                I would suggest people not buy things from these guys. HisJay Kumar's mobile number is [protected].
                                Whatever the case they have to give my microwave and expenses I made for this.
                                my microwave is from u.s .It was working very good suddenly all its swiches are not working ..kindly help .

                                Microwave — not working

                                Very-very poor service and staff response with regards to customer service.
                                I have purchased a microwave in 27 Nov 2010. It stopped working on Sep 2011. i have lodged a complain at ur customer care and after 03 weeks a mechanic has visited at home. After checked the microwave he told that he need to replace its transformer to make it operational. Since thereafter he did not visited again till now. On contact he replied that he does not recd spare demanded item till now. I have made at least 100s call to customer care to resolve issue but till now almost 03 month over, but till now your men can not made available spare to mechanic.
                                Kindly can u tell what is it? this is your way to deal customer and how long you take to resolve one complain, by this this way you can't resolve more than 02 complains in entire year. If you are unable to provide customer service then no use to sell your product.

                                Microwave — Not working

                                I was puchased Microvave last year October 2011. From Jamshedpur . My Microvave is not working now . when i complain it in local area the was said call to toll free number [protected] i was traid so many time but call not connected . Please help me out from this situation.

                                Induction cooktop burn damage

                                    This is a complaint regarding the trouble, Theft and misbehaviour caused by a very rude shopkeeper.
                                    - I bought Cooler of brand KENSTAR AIR COOLER 9924 with Model Code: COOLER9924 worth 5,500 Rs./- on 03/June/ 2012, From KOHINOOR ELECTRONICS, Maitri- Ramakeshav CO-OP Housing Soceity, Subhash Road, Vishnu Nagar, Dombivali (West), Tel:[protected], Fax[protected], Mobile - [protected]. Before buying the Salesman : Abhijeet Mahadik said that the cooler is not having water in it so cooling effect we will not realise. So by taking this words of his we proceeded to our New house where delivery was expected on same day.
                                    My delivery address was - Ganesh Bagul, B/404, Surya Complex, Subhash Road, Kubharkhan pada, Dombivali (West), 421202.
                                    The product reached our house on same day at 15:00hrs thought of testing it on same day but it was not giving cool air at all. But still to check same I added Chilled Water with crushed ice/snow in the cooler's water feeding area. But inspite of adding such a cool water the cooler was giving normal room temperature air blow.
                                    I was shocked and felt that I might have been cheated, fooled by the shopkeeper by selling faulty piece of COOLER to me.I called the shop wherein they said that they will send someone to check the cooler at my place.Since I was travelling out of the town for a week, I requested them to come on 09th June 2012 and check the cooler.
                                    On 09th June 2012 I spoke Mr. Manav/ Maruti (Specs guy handling counter) and requested him to send someone to check the issue of cooler not cooling. But inspite of request from morning nobody came. Then i shouted at the shopkeeper by saying that i have spent my whole sunday in a unfurnished house alone waiting for your technician to come. Over this they sent 2 guys to check the issue of Cooler. They came and also accepted that cooler was not working appropriately. I spoke to Mr. Manav (Shopkeeper guy)on phone and requested him to take the Cooler back and refund me the complete money. He refused to refund the money but agreed to check the issue personally by taking the cooler from home back to the shop. The awaiting 2 technicains took the cooler back to shop for further check up of Cooler issue. But before they carry the cooler back I took signature of the boy/technician (Identity- Has curly hair) on the Invoice what i had/have of the cooler.I went personally to shop and asked Mr. Manav to refund the money but he rejected to do so. Instead he said Cooler is working fine and is giving extremly cool air. After me personally checking it, without any surprize the cooler was still with the same efficacy of not cooling.Most insulting and irritating part was whole staff was saying its cooling really well, Whereas my wife and me were surprized with teh staff's attitude. The technicians who came to check the cooler were missing from the shop at that time. Mr. Manav also commented to me that "Sir, Yeh Cooler hai AC nahi ".

                                    Now, when I am asking them not to fool me anymore and sell unusable product to me. They are still saying the cooler is working fine and giving extremely cool air, It is as if whole staff is pulling my leg or bulling me.
                                    The worst part of all this was when i visited the shop on 23rd June 2012, The shopkeeper said that we don't have any cooler of yours with us. Myself and my wife were standing there with another unexpected shock of life.We had big quarrel with the shop guy that he can't cheat on such a big scale, we may go to police for justice, in-turn he said fine you can go to police as he has good contacts in there.

                                    There was only 1 option after all this dacoit shopkeeper incidence. That since I have the proof of buying the Cooler from them and also have the proof of they (shop ppl) taking back the cooler with them as a Signed and dated copy of the staff.so Instead of quarrelling them and going to police or making them aware of what i have as a proof. I thought of approaching you "The Consumer Court" without making the shopkeeper aware of it.
                                    I am also sure that if they lie court that they have given us the cooler back, Then they don't have any proof to prove their own words.

                                    This is a preety simple, logical and one sided case, wherein there are 100% chances of me getting Justice as I have proofs but they dont have.

                                      I have purchased a Kenstar washing machine (model - LF-690 Dlx) from Jamal Electricals, Palakkad on[protected]. Serial number of machine is K7H0000469. Machine got complaint from March 2011. We called Kenstar's authorised service technician and found that the IC is malfunctioning. He suggested for panel replacement. But panel for this model is not available in the market since Kenstar stopped the production of this model. Usually, a washing machine is used for atleast 7-10 years; but here it lasts only for 3 years. So company has the responsibility for either provision of panel board for this model or complete replacement of faulty machine.
                                      Kindly do the needful as early as possible. Hoping for a positive.

                                      Kenstar Washing Machine — company not ready to take annual maintenance contract

                                      Sir,
                                      I purchased my kenstar washing machine 8 years back since then my machine is matintained my kenstar engg only. All these years company used to provide annual maintainance contract . But this year suddenly the company has changed the policy and denied the A.M.C. How can a company deny the Annual Maintanance Contract. I think no company deny this as the machine is maintain my them. Their denial shows lack of maintanance done by company service engineer. This is very irresponsible behaviour of the company.

                                      kenstar/washing m/c — malfunctioning of washing matchine

                                      I have purchased one ken star LS-63 washing m/c on 05.11.2007 from patwa brothers neemuch m.p., from the very begining this m/c is giving trouble I aproached local supplier but to no avail, On 24.05.2008 I contacted co's head office and lodged a complaint (no. 7aa[protected] with them, this time a mechanic was deputed who provided some temporary solution with assurance that he will change the necessary parts as soon he receives it from the co, but that day has never come. Again on 22.04.2009 I sent a mail to co's customer care but no response so far. Pls do the needfull.

                                      Kenstar Washing Machine — Repeated Failures

                                      In last two years there have been six failures. Each time service charge of Rs.280 is charged plus expensive parts are required. Total maintenance cost has exceeded Rs.5000/- within 2 years and reliability is poor.

                                        I Ranajit Ray Chaudhuri logged a complain (KOL[protected]) on 4th July 2012 to repair my Kenstar Microwave. Service Engineer Soumen Banerjee ([protected]) from Serampore Service Center took off the PCB without any written document confirming to replace that with a new one. The appliance is out-of-order and nobody from Kenstar Service center is ready to listen this complain.
                                        This is a clear case of cheating by Kenstar. Please advice how to resolve and escalate this issue to the highest level.

                                        Microwave — After Sales Service

                                        Its about going to one and half month we are trying to contact IFB ( Electronics & Appliances ) company Service center to visit for Microwave that is currently not working and under warranty.. But no action or not even single person has come yet to visit.
