The bike has lots of issues such as ecu failure and the bike going off at certain revs.

It also has battery issues where battery fails and discharges too frequently..

Lots of vibrations and rusting of frames chasis, tank, under frame etc..

The paints are peeling off at many places.

There are following issues with my bike:
1. Ecu failure and battery voltage is normal 12.4 volts to 13.1 volts.
2. Cold start issues.
3. Display blinking.
4. Bike goes off at high rpm.
5. Paints are peeling of.
6. Rust on bolts.
7. Rust on chain no automatic lubrication.
8. Coolant level going down too frequently.
9. No record of coolant or oil top is kep in the contoller.
10. Controller not saving time.
11. Moisture in tft display and display goes blur.
12. Led remains on even when the bike is completety at hault sometimes even after removing kets.
13. Led vibrations.
14. Disk brake rusty within a year and ss should get rusted.
15. Leg guards are very weak.
16. High temperature or engine temperature sensor not looped properly.
17. Radiator paint bubbling up.
18. Defective part sent to the service station.
19. Oil filter not available during service.
20. Calls frequently for inspection but issues dont get resolved.
21. Long lead time to procure parts and it takes more then 15 days.
22. Quality of parts is tuned down.
23. Engine paints peeling off.
24. Tank rusting on inside the drain hole is totally rusted.
25. Frame rusted near the steering.
26. Steering top guard rusted.
27. Battery failure issues.
28. Clutch level too free and shaky.
29. Rust under the seat.
30. Customer support is very bad and they dont direct to right person.

    The bikes has following issues:
    1. Ecu failure while riding.
    2. Moisture in tft display.
    3. Knock sound while changing gears.
    4. Battery failure already replaced.
    5. Rusting of main frame.
    6. Multiple times has to visit bajaj service centre just to replace with defective parts.
    7. Whole day had to wait just to change one radiator.

      I was about to purchase ktm duke 200 from kochi ktm but on enquiry the dealer does not provide the manufacturers address or whereabouts in india. I checked ktm website but it displayed only bikes photographs only and no other details. Then i inquired the countersale of spares to me. They said no no. This hindered me from booking the motorcycle. My complaint about ktm is that they are not counterselling spares to indians why discrimination against indians when u people provide spareparts in all other nations. Stop discrimination and provide necessary spareparts in time to all indians otherwise stop selling motorcycle to us indians

        My husband took rc390 delivery today. From few days back we were making calls to dealer for updates but no one responded but they told you are irritating us.. But still didn't tell anything. Today i noticed dat without demonstration they deliver the vehicle and without key handover process.. We noticed on 1st they did key handover ceremony for other customers... The chandrani dealer of ruby kolkata and store manager and. The sales concern also misbehave previously...

          Dear Sir/Madam,

          I'm using KTM Duke 200 for over past 5 years now(since August 2013). I love and respect your company but not the service support(specially for past 3 years).

          1. I had a serious accident in September 2013 i.e. just 40 days after i purchased this bike. Accident was on a major state highway but luckily there wasn't any heavy vehicle behind me, so my life got spared.
          The reason for this accident was that at a speed of 40 kmph i pushed sudden rear brakes and the brake liver broke, which resulted into my crash.
          We contacted your H.O. at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, multiple times and requested to inquire into the matter but never got any answer/reply. Okay!! I didn't complain.

          2. After 2-3 years o[censored]se, it started many other problems like auto engine shut while bike is being driven.

          3. Your so called qualified service men, without my permission or even notifying me performed some sort of work on engine. (I don't the technical term for this) But all the other owners of this bike and other bikes and i also read about it on auto blogs and everywhere it was said that this is something that should not be done at all but only in extreme cases, because once done, bike performance never remains the same. And similarly bike had this weird sound coming from the engine after that day which your service men claims is normal but at the same time i can't hear it on other KTM bikes.

          4. Now, on this 25th September i received my bike back from service and a few parts changed (rear brake liver broke again and bike crashed, luckily bike was at a speed of 20-25 kmph only so no one got hurt).
          They say they had changed the handlebar but to me it seemed an old one only and not only to me but also to other 8-9 customers who were there at that time.

          They charged me for Fork Overhauling yet it wan't done.

          After taking bike back home i parked it and took it on road on 28th September. I safely reached to my destination, grabbed a coffee and when approached bike to get back home, I JUST DIDN'T START. Yes the engine won't start and i had to push it for several kilometers. Since next day its been parked at your service station. I have to call them repeatedly to get a reply because your service center people don't approach. On 3rd day of October after calling them many many times they responded (it happens every time) and said your bikes' engine requires rework !!!
          What did the do in service then?
          Did they even checked engines' working?
          Well I dont think so as they didn't even apply oil to all the parts which i had to ask them and get it done. !!
          How ??? People who use bike way more than me didn't have this problem yet. Why mine ??
          Usage of my bike: In past 5 years i drove it only 38800 kms only i.e. less than 650 kms per month. I use it only for city work. No highway trips, no highspeed, no stunting, nothing!! just normal city drive and routine work. I have a VW for all those extensive usage.

          In short, Sir/Madam please look into the matter as may be you do not have any idea how badly your service men here in my city respond.

          It's not a matter of money but Quality response from your side.

          Since all these problems that i had faced are due to poor service quality, I request this particular Job done on you and me not be charged.

          I would be really thankful to you if you personally look into the matter.

            I am complaining about the service they done after an accident happen to my bike and i done my replacement with inssurence coverage. Tjey have done a poor service because when i am giving them my bike it doesn't have any problem with my cluster, left footpeg fiting part and so many diffected part when i came to the showroom to release my bike i saw these defects and told them they are saying that we will correct the problems but after 1 month they have no response and i spent about 40000 rupees in my bike it didnt get well as i think and i also change my pillion seat and it was so hard now i cant travel with a pillion about 20 kms it was so hard to be sit and i dont know what to do and they are treeting customers very bad. Please take further move from your side

              Im ranjith kumar from coimbatore. Im having ktm rc 200 (Tn38cf5760). My problem is when i was driving my bike gets suddenly off then its cant be start again, i gave it to (Eagle motors ktm showroom sungam branch) more than 5 times same problem repeats everytime they are giving same answer sir we will definitely ready your bike, but till date they cant even find the problem so please take as my humble request and do favour thank you...

              Till now they ar saying...patrs has not come yet...they delaying too much to deliver the bike..

                Purchased ktm 390 in dec 2017.in july 2018 bike rpm started staying at 3000 rpm for much time. When rpm is raised and released to let it fall to 2000 (Idle rpm), the rpm stays at 3000 for sometime and then lowers down. The problem is while gear down shifting, have to wait more till rpm drops to idling and then apply gear. Otherise gear shifting acute noise is heard. Been to ktm gurgaon sohna road service center, guys unable to do any good. They told me, we suggest not to open race related things and will ask for ktm india rnd centre. Still after 1 month, no response to this technical issue.

                  It is to inform you that i bought a ktm rc 200 on feb 2017 since than i have been facing lots of issues regarding the poor quality parts being used they loose there strength and some parts fade away and some of them stops working every week i can’t afford to walk to workshop for this. I want my bike to be checked up properly and all the parts who are loosing their strength or not working properly needs to be changed i want an inspection by an expert. Who can sort out this issue.

                  In South Gujarat ...I have fuel tank crack ...but showroom have no fuel tank available from last 30 days they tell me fuel tank is unavailable..

                    Ktm service center, hennur location dont have proper technicians to service the bike. I gave my bike to be service and for engine tempreture getting too high. It needed a coolant topup. When the technician was taking notes for job card, he said ok and will fix it. After 2 hours that guy called me and said it can't be fixed at their location and i have to give it for service at a different location.
                    It was a harrassment to again come, collect and then drive the bike to another location. Ok agreed.

                    So i took it to ktm service center, banaswadi. Here also when i asked the guys to fix the issue, i started getting some kind of avoidance to fix the issue immediately. They started telling we will give the bike after 3 days.
                    The real issue is earlier i used to get the bike serviced at ktm service center, banaswadi. Everytime they told, yes sir we have topped up the coolant and servicing is done. Now when i needed their attention to fix the issue urgently, they are trying to dodge the issue by delaying it.

                    Who is at fault? I as a customer who is paying for all this or the service centers who dont have proper technicians to fix a bike?

                      I have bought my duke[protected] i met with a minor accident. So i took my bike to adyar ktm to change my back clamp rod, tail tidy, indicators number plate light and reflection after they changed all the spares. While returning the old spares they cutted all the wire connection indicator connection which can be used again. I didnt even expect this from the service people

                        My bike lately started stalling due to which i brought it to "ktm vasai" service center, after a couple of days the same issue cropped up on which the head technician advised to replace the battery, after a couple of day and again the same issue, after numerous to and fro's and we replaced "fuel pump", "stator assy" and what not, but again the same issue, on asking the staff for details the manager and the technician allegedly blamed me that "its your fault, because you didnt start the bike for 2 days, and advised me that you need to start the bike every two days as this is a ktm issue". This were the exact statements that were given to me.

                        It is an earnest request to please provide some help, as the bike is just lying dead.

                          They is no feedback call from KTM service centre after serving...no feedback book ...the behaviour of KTM service centre is very very rude ...they talk like we are not a customer ...they don't give proper reply to our questions ...the KTM service is not as well as ...they only make bill.. and even they don't have part ...they always take 10 to 15 days ... which is not so good for Indian market ...and plzz find out the service centre behaviour...my bike is standing in service centre from last 6 days and. No reply is coming...

                            Hi i am from lucknow (U. P) i have rc390 few days ago my battery was discharged and bike was not starting so i made a call in my nearest ktm workshop for service. But they refused to come for assistance and asked me to open the battery by myself and take it to workshop. So i could not understand what kind of service is this? Ktm showroom is chowk near balaganj lucknow.

                              Last friendship day, 5th august 2018, in the morning i went on a drive. Was doing 140-150 on 6th gear, as i started to decrease my speed by releasing the throttle, all of a sudden my rear wheel locked. I controlled my bike and saved myself somehow. I called up the service center but as of sunday they couldn't help. I got my bike towed back to the city. They said they'll be picking my bike on monday but they didn't. And on tuesday they took the bike and didn't touch my vehicle till saturday. I kept calling but got no update. On saturday they told me that my gears have been damaged badly and they have put in an order, which will reach them in a week or so.. I have been calling them for update, and all they say is we are yet to receive the part but it's been more than 10days that they have my vehicle and they haven't been able to do anything. This is 3rd or 4th time, that the service center has not fulfilled as promised. Last two times they kept my vehicle for more than a month each, and kept telling me the part is yet to arrive. I'm fed up of this nonsense.
                              My bike is at patni automobiles nagpur.

                                I am complaining about my new duke 390 2017 model i have faced many issues like starter motor issue and battery low issue heating issue and on 25/07/2018 i was on highway on 5 the gear the speed was 120 around and suddenly the gear box stuck and my rear tyre locked i controlled the bike but i was not even moving when i press the clutch and the gear is also locked on 5 th after this i got the motorcycle towed to the service center this guy told me that we have so many works so will let you know the problem tomorrow next day i called him he was like sir will open your bike when our service head technician come then after four days i called them again they told me that your fifth gear broke and two three more parts are have to replace then i told him how much time they gonna take for all this he told me 10 days at least for parts arrangements then after 10 th day i called him he was like sir ur parts are araanged but the fifth gear hasn't arrived what is this ktm after 15 days this i am listening from you and i told him how much time you need he is like i don't know u should mail or talk to the asm.
                                I am very disappointed from this service you guys are providing.

                                  I regret being the customer of ktm, in spite of 6 mails and repeated services done at ktm services kasturaba bangalore, they have still not rectified my complaint from the day i bought the bike. Every time i give the bike for the above complaint they advice me to change the different electrical parts which i did and this is the worst thing. Still the complaint persist and the ktm isn't able to rectify the complaint. My bike has the odo of 27000 odd kms and its been 3 years from purchase. Every time i go they would convince me to go from the service station by clearing the bills. This is intolerable, bike suddenly gets off while riding in 70 or 80 kms speed. And doesn't even start and many times it has happened that the the vehicle behind me hitting my vehicle. So in spite of all these complaint ktm has still not taken the responsibility of calling the higher qualified technicians to rectify this complaint. Above all these they don't event replace the parts of the vehicle properly. Previously they missed the cover 0f coil. This is intolerable and the problem should be rectified soon.

                                    I hav ktm duke 200 and inm from mira road mumbai. I m not getting any parts wher were i going they r telling out of stock of seat, sticker, holder strip or any parts wht kind of service ur provideing its really very poor ktm
                                    Surely this wil b my last ktm and i wil tell about it to my friends also that parts r not aviable also
                                    I waiting fir past 1 month for seat n all its really frustrating i cant go for. A long ride also ktm plzz lock after it this problem is in mira road, vasai, than, borivali, goregao, malad

                                      I have bought ktm rc 390 on may 20, 2018 (I. E. Sunday) from khivraj motors, rajajinagar, bangalore, karnataka, india and the price of bike they said rs. 2, 97, 800 but after giving some discount they charged me rs. 3, 00, 000 which includes price of helmet of rs. 4500 and they have given me a invoice* of rs.300000.
                                      And the detailed invoice* they have mailed me after few days which is of total only rs.2, 91, 867.
                                      When i asked them they said 300000 includes the price of rsa (Which they have not mentioned at the time of purchasing and i don't want rsa) and helmet but still on sum up with 291867 it's less than 300000, so they returned me rs.1500.

                                      I inquired with other showrooms in bangalore and got to know that price in the month of may is around rs. 2, 93, 500 (Which is almost same as the price mentioned in internet https://www.bikewale.com/ktm-bikes/rc-390/price-in-bangalore/) and they were giving the same helmet free without asking.
                                      Whenever i asked the other invoices, they said they will give but it's been almost 3 month and i don't have all the invoices i. E, rsa (Which i don't want) and helmet (Which might be free) invoice.

                                      I wanted to clarify the price and if they have charged more, kindly return that. Also, if helmet is free return the price of that as i did not get any item free with the bike and return the amount of rsa which they have not mentioned at the time of purchasing.

                                      * i don't want to share the invoice publicly, so if it will be processed further they you guys or someone from ktm itself can mail me for invoice.

                                      I did mail in [email protected] also, and got the call within 24 hr and refunded me the extra amount KTM Khivraj showroom had taken.
                                      KTM Sportmotorcycle customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                                      I purchese the ktm duke 200 last 14/08/2018 it was a damaged product the tire was littel bit of cutting and the acceletor sleves was broken it was deffinetly the showrooms fault i was asking them there are no answering i will put a on police complaint

                                        I purchased bike from ktm ulhasnagar (Kanchan auto pvt ltd), registration no: mh05dt9496 chassis no: md2jucyb9jc017423
                                        Engine no: 8-906*31842* model ktm duke 200. After first serivce (Jobcard no. Pbrjc[protected]) the bike worked fine for few days, yesterday on 28 july 2018 the engine started to leak oil. It was not minor leak but engine oil was dripping like water from running tap.
                                        This same problem happend after two days of purchase. At that time the showroom dealer person (Mr. Adesh) told me to get the bike to service center and get the issue fixed. The bike was taken to service center and was repaired.
                                        They told me there was some problem with oil seal. This is the second time the same issue has happened there is some serious problem with the bike's engine. I want the bike to be replaced. This issue has happened just after two months from purchasing date. I doubt about the quality process followed by the company.
                                        Ktm being a international brand should keep up to the reputation. I will not tolerate these temporary fixes as i have paid the full amount, it is reponsibility of the company to provide the flawless bike.
                                        I do not want temporary repairs, i just want the bike to be replaced no matter how much time it takes for the replacement process. This is a major issue and should be addressed urgently as this will cause the bike's engine to seize.
                                        Kindly look into the matter urgently.
