I am shocked at the total absence of after sales service at LG, even when the product (fridge) is within the warranty period.
I had purchased an LG fridge in Dec 2010 from Sumaria, Mahim, Mumbai ( Invoice no MH/DEC10/0053 dt 11/12/2010 Model LG GL-548YTQ4 fridge).
The fridge developed fault in May, when ice in the freezer chest was found to be melting, at times. Complaint was lodged with Sumaria and their Manager was very polite and said that he would forward the complaint to LG. LG lines during the time were out of order, mobile nos of its service personnel never got answered.( I have proof on my mobile phones of all these).
After a few days one technician called to take appt, but never came. On enquiry after a few days, he informed that since the fridge was big, some other technician would come. Nobody , however, came. On taking up with Mr Junaid of Sumaria again and again, o technician came in the beginning of June. He inspected the fridge, inspected my documents / invoice and said that a part needed to be replaced and would be done in a day or two. Almost a month has elapsed, but nothing has happened. I have spoken to all in LG in Mumbai, including the service centre head, Mr Tripti KAnt an dMumbai Head , Mr. Prafulla Kerkera. LG Mumbai seems to be having a serious administrative problems. Systems are not working. I say this because I have been using LG products fro very long and have stayed at other centres like Delhi and Jaipur. LG Service was very good. HEre the service has failed.
I need compensation from LG and a replacementf my fride as the condition has further worsened because of inordinate delay.

LG Split Air Conditioner — The conditioner not working
We had bought 3 split air conditioners from Kay Associates, Nagpur, Maharashatra India who represented through Mr. Nikhil Jain as authorised dealers and service centres for LG. All the conditioners are giving problem and not running properly. The instant case is about one of them which had its PC card damaged since last more than 1.5 months and the dealer is not in position to repair it for an undisclosed reason, even not picking up the phone call and the office also remains closed. The service of LG is very poor at this authorised dealer.
