PATHETIC SERVICE OF LG SERVICE IN MUMBAI

I had purchased an LG- 32 inch LCD TV screen on 19th June 2010 from CHROMA, Mumbai at Juhu. The LCD stopped switching on end of October 2010. (Within four months of its purchase)

On 2nd Nov 2010 at 12.20pm, I registered my first complaint with the LG Customer Care (Complain no - RNILIBGC10B02019). I was told that the service centre would call me within 24hours. But no one called even after 240 hours had passed. It took me more than 10 days and NUMEROUS calls to the customer care service to attend to.

Finally, after facing much harassment, I managed to get an LG technician (Shashikant Singh -[protected]) to visit my house. He examined the LCD and was unable to detect anything and speculated that the IC was not functioning. He said he would come and replace the IC within two days. But even after a week there was no phone call from the service centre.

Tired of waiting endlessly I started calling the Customer Care again. And registered several complains of which now your customer care seem to have a record of only one (10th December 2010, 12.42 pm. RNA[protected]

Almost TWO MONTHS have passed since I registered my first complain but your inefficient and indifferent service centre has not been able to resolve my problem. My TV is still not working.

I have spoken to every possible person about my problem and written e-mail to various people. FEROZ ALI KHAN – [protected], MANISH – [protected], ANKUR DOSHI – [protected], SANJEEVANI – [protected], also called your office in Gurgaon, Delhi but in vain. None of these people seem to be accountable. They have a totally indifferent attitude towards the customer. Some of them are also rude and unpleasant and keep transferring the calls to one another.

Never has it happened that the service centre has called with 24 hours of registering complain as promised by your Customer Care. In fact they just don’t call! It is impossible to get through your service centers. No Answer[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected]. Don't Exist[protected], Constantly Engaged[protected],[protected].

I have been harassed and mentally tortured by the LG service centre people. Since I work with the film industry my work has also been hampered because of the non-functional TV. Now either REPAIR it or REPLACE it at the earliest. It is time to go to the Consumer court.

    LG Refrigerator Model: 245FADG5FC, Sr No: 5610 purchased from Sony Mony showroom (Prabhadevi) on May 30, 2010.Refrigerator purchased which was delivered on 1st June 2010 was defective. I had to follow up numerous times via email and phone to resolve the problem.Replacement refrigerator delivered in August 2010 is also not functioning properly. There is some problem with the gas and defrost button does not work. I have been repeatedly following up and have had 6 service visits. The first 5 visits could not solve the problem. Thermostat was changed 3 times and gas was refilled once.fridge takes a lot of time for defrost. We have been informed by the senior technician that it may take 4 to 6 hours for defrosting even if same is done on regular basis.

    I am not getting any response from their cutomer service or the concerned branch manager who details were shared with me.

    I want to know the email id or contact details for their head of customer service for proble resolution

        GS290 — Touchpad NOT Working

        I purchased a LG cookie FRESH GS290 mobile from a telephone shop in Kolkata, West Bengal on 29 June 2010. From last month its touch screen pad is not working. The store people told me to go to the LG Service Center. Now, from the last month, I have visited the service center in Ultadanga 3 times already and called them 4 to 5 times. They always answer me that they don't have touchscreen pads for this mobile and the company is not sending any, so they always tell me to call after 7 days...but they still haven't arrived. I would like you to look into this matter as fast as possible as it is causing a lot of inconvenience to me.

        I am facing the problem with Touchscreen of my mobile LG GS290. If i press the contacts, it open messages or settings. I feel that if i press the left or centre part of the screen, it only selects those which are on the right hand side. The Touchscreen is of no use now. There is no way to call numbers due to this problem. I have searched the internet to find lots of cases like this. I bought this mobile on 03 July 2010. It is just a year old and such a big problem. I have bought LG mobile, because i thought it would be a good brand. That is the only reason to shell out so much money. And now the warranty has just ended and now facing this problem.

          I have a problem in my refrigirator.Since i have purchase it in mid of june in 2008 and during the first year its compresor was replace by them twice as it was burn out.Again in 2010 the compresor burn out and again i have gave it in the service center .They daily said to give the fridge as soon as possible but this story is going on till from two weeks .I have also contacted customer care but no one helps me out..

            I had complained on 12.12.10 reg non functioning of my LG tv. Your mechanic from Ooty came on 16.12.10 & since he could not repair it, took it to Ooty. I called on 17.12.10 but my call was unanswered. I called your authorised agent in Ooty - Pranav Electronics. They said they would revert immediately but have not till date!!! Today, 21.12.10, their mechanic called, after 5 days to inform me that the PCB has been sent to Coimbatore for repairs. I have spoken to Mr. Senthil of Pranav Electronics, Ooty today & have told him & am informing you too that you may kindly retain the PCB as I am no longer interested in either your products or your services. In the meanwhile I will be procuring a Sony Bravia LCD today itself.

              Dear Sir,

              I purchased LG refrigerator from Vijay Sales, Tip Top Plaza, Thane, on 29th December 2009. We find that some Bubble near upperside of main door is appearing. For which we lodged the complaint with LG customer care available at Vijay sales on 25th October 2010. In response to which on 27th October one person from LG service centre attended our complaint and he found that the bubble which is appearing on the door is due to rust material used behind the coating. LG representative told us that this is company's manufacturing problem because the material used in door was not of good quality and due to which it has started rusting. After which he said, he will get our door replaced, but due to shortage of stock it will take some time. Now since last 2 months we are following up for the same, but the answer is same, door is out of stock. To my surprise, today i received a call from your representative saying that I have to bear the cost of replacement which i have to bear with no fault on my side. I therefore request you to do the needful at the earliest and do not motivate me to take any undue step to avail the service from your dealer. Pls. get the door replaced at the earliest.                 I bought LG FF FRIDGE GL-368YTQG5 on 27/10/2010 from Sargam Electronics LG Shoppe, Ashok Vihar vide Invoice No. SAV-2376. The fridge was installed on 28/10/2010 by firm's representative with a broken leg and a crack inside the base. A complaint was lodged by the firm’s representative for replacement and complaint no. C10A2922393 was given to us. We were told that the fridge will be replaced within 2-3 days i.e. by 31/10/10. We again contacted customer care desk and were told that it will be replaced within 2 weeks. Again I got a call from Customer care desk telling me that the fridge will be delivered positively by 17/11/10. But that fridge did not arrive. Again contacting on 19/11/10, we were told to wait till 10th December 2010 and the fridge will be delivered after that because they are busy in auditing. But still the refrigerator has not been replaced and no body is willing to say anything. We have enquired more than 15 times from LG customer care and Sargam Electronics, but no precise date is being committed to us for replacement. Everytime we ask the customer care unit, we got a reply that the complaint is pending. After talking to the higher level (Mr. Vinay) on 18/12/10, a feedback was promised, but no one rang us back. We also tried to contact ASM/LG/Ashok Vihar on his mobile ([protected]) given to us by Customer care people on 19/12/10, but no one is picking the phone.
                On 20/11/10, I got a call from LG customer care representative stating that the bill amount would be refunded instead of fridge replacement. No specific reason was assigned by her. But this is not acceptable, as I bought the fridge during your festive season offer, when the price is lower. And more importantly, I gave my old working Videocon 210 Lts refrigerator to Sargam Electronic on throw away price of Rs 1000/- only.

                It is really shocking that a company like LG is behaving in this fashion and taking of its customers. It is really unfortunate that even 50 days after buying the defective product and our repeated chasing, the complaint has not been redressed. I think you must change the name of this cell to Customer Condemnation unit instead of Customer Care unit.

                I request you to kindly take up with the concerned authorities and send the replacement immediately.

                  Dear LG Service center Head,



                  I am forced to write to you as nobody is trying to serve my complaint since November 27th. I hope that you will be able to help me and if not I request you please do not use the word "Life's Good" as you do not deserve the same due to the poor response of your team. I am providing you the detail of the issues happened so far as follows-



                  I own a refrigerator (model # GL 305 VM5) which I purchased in September 2009. The freezer of my refrigerator was not working and I registered a complaint on 27th November (complaint ID # C10B2723109). One engineer came and told that there is fault in fan motar and this needs to be replaced and he took the motar with him. He did not turn up till 4th December. Again when I contacted customer care, I needed to re-register the complaint as it was being told to me that the database does not exist due to some data migration at your end. I re-regisatered the complaint (ID #[protected] by explaining the entire details. Two engineers came on 5th December without having any previous informations about my complaint and talked to some one at LG and said that the said motar is out of stock and it will be arranged in 2 days time. Since then there is no response from LG, no one contacted or visited. Today when I contacted the cusotmer care, again same things are being repeated. I asked the operator that I want to talk to some senior officers there but she did not connect.



                  I hope you can understand the situation and try to help me. I feel myself very small writing a mail like this to you but what to do as there is no other way out.

                    I bought a lg washing mashine (fully automatic) on 24th dec 2010.On the same day your service center person came for demo in his presence when he run the machine it was not working so I lodge a complaint to service center as well as to the consurn people along with the dealer and ask them to replace the machine with a new one.
                    Even I talk to the ASM Mr.Arka Ghosh of Jharkhand regarding this issue.Earlier he told me he will do the needful.But after one month now he is telling me that he wont be able to replace the machine as company has stop manufacturing that model 7239PR.So we have to take money back.
                    But I dont want the money .
                    Regarding this I am calling your customer care people they are also not taking any care and not proving me the right person to contact.They only provide me the no of Amrita [protected] while calling on this no its saying this no does not exist.I am trying to contact to Amrita but I am not able to get resopse.
                    If this type of Service you provide to people then I am sorry to say its not lifes good but life's hells.
                    I evend drafted a mail to these peole but I m not able to get any response to.
                    Please tell me wht should I do now.

                      We purchased a LG 32 LD650 from TMC Begumpet,Hyderabad on 19th June 2010.

                      The Tv stopped working from 4th November 2010. We immediately registered a complaint with the complaint Number
                      c10b0447431.
                      The technicians took two weeks time and attended and replaced the mother board. Then there was only half display in the TV. The technicains again changed the mother board and the display got rectified but the tv worked for only an hour and then again the same problem. The TV was not getting ON.

                      We again registered a comlaint on 24tth november C[protected]. The technicians then dint turn up and we were calling but they were not attending our calls. Finally they attended and said that they wil go for a replacement.

                      And till today there is no replacement and they are making us waiting that the systems there are not getting updated and the stock is not there.

                      Why the hell LG doesnt have any stock in a city like hyderabad when its the claiming itself as #1 seller in lcd's?
                      Shame on yourself to be a part of LG.
                      What does it take for the systems to update and the stock to reach.

                      LG HAS SUCH A BAD STAFF AND SERVICEMEN..THE SERVICEMEN DONT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE TV AND THEY CANT EVEN DO THEIR JOB PROPERLY BY SEEING THAT THE CUSTOMER NEEDS ARE SATISFIED IN TIME.

                      We dont know whether to believe it or not. We purchased LG because we heard that it gives good service but unfortunately we are forced to say that LG DOESNT CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS ISSUES.
                      We have waited for almost two months for this replcaement and there is no yet progress in it.

                      Why should we compromise when we have spent 40 thosand bucks on the TV?
                      Why should we wait for the replacement and doing calls daily and the persons not lifting and not giving proper responses and details.

                      We need a number of noida where we can escalate this issue.
                      Or else we will resort to media regarding this issue.

I have a warrenty for 1 year but i have given for service there is no use till today the service request number is 33263.                         I was purchase LG 510 CDMA hand set on date 30 Oct 2010. But after few days it was make very difficulties to use as normally. I want share my bad experience to you..



                        1. Phone has 1000 message space in inbox but after 299 messages Inbox take 15-20 minutes for open inbox. And same problem when we close the inbox. It’s means phone has not update after 299 SMS. Its very difficult for me to use as normal.



                        2. After visiting 2 -3 web pages browser not respond and phone make hanging problem and show message “insufficient memory reset the phone/memory” and there are no options to reset the memory. It’s very difficult for us to use net on this phone.





                        3. When we play game more than 15 min the phone get henge and all buttons are not work. There are no options to close this error.




                        I am also submitted same complain to LG website and Customer care but he have also no solutions and advise to visit your LG service center. When I go to Your Jaipur (City Plaza, Space Cinema Hall) service center he was try to install software again but not solutions. After it Engineer change mother board of handset but still problem is there. He has also no solutions. The service request no is: RNA[protected]

                        LG CDMA MOBILE — BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

                        Dear sir i went to your service center they taken my mobile and told me that they have to change the LCD next day they given back my mobile and told that LCD is being replaced but when i check the problem is as it was.

                        I have also same phone with same problem even when i want to download any software which is not possigble just line phonw browser and other solftware...
                        the message lenght is too small so when any message come its parted 1 and 2 and then after we forword it it send in four part 1, 2, 3, and 4.

                          Our LG refrigerator (icebeam) is not working from 13/12/10 morning. We contacted LG customer care no[protected]
                          Reference no given is[protected]
                          We had informed the customer care that the problem was with electronic board. They agreed to bring one spare electronic board.We were asked to contact service no[protected] in case no response is received within 24 hrs.
                          On14/12/10 morning when we contacted the service no the response was rude & totally irresponsible by the lady posted there.
                          On 14th at 7 PM the service person came without any spare part. After checking he finally concluded that the problem is with the electronic board as told by us earlier.
                          He asked us to contact sevice center next day & check if the spare is available. Else we have to wait till it reaches.

                          When we contacted the service no, again rude response from the lady posted there. No idea when the spare is available in cochin godown.

                          Now there is no contact from service center or technician since last two days even after repeated reminders to the toll free LG customer care number.
                          This is not the kind of service we expect from a reputed company like LG
                          request your immediate attention

                          I had purchased an LG double door refrigerator from Angamaly in Ernakulam, kerala. After a year there were problems with cooling and there is no cooling now. I called up the call center on Oct 05, 2012 and they said i would receive a call in 72 hours.. No one called me. And today it is Oct 10, 2012. 5 days have passed. LG service in Ernkulam / angamaly area Sucks!!!

                          People planning to buy LG in Ernakulam / Angamaly area think twice as the service is really really bad.
                          I had purchased an LG double door refrigerator from Edappally (PITTAPILLIL), Cochin. After one year, problems started and informed LG care on 27 sept 2012. They attended the issue after 10 days. Charged me Rs 650. After one day again the same problem appeared. Again conatcted. Today is 18th novmber 2012. In between these 50 days, 6 -7 times technicains attended the same issue, two times they took it to their work shop. Still the problem remains the same. No cooling ... I don't know what to do now.. I lost nearly 18, 000 for fridge and 650 for Service charge..

                          My advise to all of you... never buy any LG PRODUCT.

                            I bought a lg km900 in march 2010.Just after three months of good performance,problems with the touch started creeping up.I have got it fixed three times from the service center,since it is still in the warranty period it did not cost me anything.I just got it back yesterday after they fixed it again,they've changed the touch panel,updated the software,and today i am again greeted with the touch not working properly!
                            I am completely bewildered as to what to do with this phone,as i can't even sell it!
                            I just cant it anymore,and i totally regret buying a lg phone for 19000.A complete waste!
                            Please advise what can be done,how to get it fixed?,or will the company replace it???

                                L.G. Washing Machine — PRODUCT NOT INSTALLED AFTER REPEATED REMINDERS

                                I purchased washing machine on 29/8/2010 from electronic paradise pitam pura, invoice no.pp/r-370b. This machine has not been installed till date. The person who came for installation said that there is no exhaust pipe in the carton, which he had opened. He told that he will come tomorrow and fix that pipe. But that tomorrow didn't come. For that we made a complaint i.e.: [protected]. What we later found that this complaint has been closed without attending it, this means that someone has done forged signature on customer feedback form, which is a criminal offense. If this thing is happening in such a big company then it is a matter of shame. Then I again done a complaint with complaint No.[protected] but this complaint is also not heard till date. After getting such kind of treatment I contacted team leader of call center Abhu Sharma on 5/9/10 at around 11 A.M. and he assured me that he’ll look into the whole matter and investigate the things, how complaint is been closed without actually attending it and he promised me that he’ll revert back to me within one and a half hour and he gave reference No.[protected] for our communication. But he did not revert back. Then again I call at their call center at 2:30 P.M. 5/9/10some Mr. Saurabh attended the phone and I explained him every thing and I told him to transfer the line to Mr. Abhu Sharma at this he disconnect the phone call. Then again I call at the service center (2:45 P.M. 5/9/10) at this time Mr. Bhushan attended the call and he told me that Mr. Abhu is not available you can approach our customer care manager Mrs. Shobha Pandey at her No. i.e. [protected] and see the irony that this No. is switched off, I don’t know that Mr. Bhushan has deliberately given me number knowing that today it would be switched off.
                                Again I made a call at there call center(at 5 P.M. 5/9/10) this time I spoke to Mr. Dev Anand there team leader this time he give me phone No. [protected] saying that he is the concern person (area service manager ) who will solve my problem. I tried several numbers of times, this number always comes busy. Then again on 6/9/10 (11:40 A.M.) I called at there call center, this time Mr. Puneet there Floor Manager attend the phone and told me that he’ll revert back to me within two hours.
                                Whole of this incidence has agonized me a lot, I want explanation of following things:
                                1. How complaint have been closed without attending it, who had done forged signature on customer feedback form.
                                2. Your all of the internal calls are recorded, please play back those calls and find out, is your attitude is justified.
                                3. Why was I misguided and not listen by your customer care depts. In-fact they had given me phone numbers that were not working.
                                4. Please go through these complaint numbers ([protected], [protected], [protected]) and what steps you have taken to resolve that.
                                If I don’t get any satisfactory reply or action from your side then I have to approach senior bodies in your company and government organization.

                                  I have purchased an LG OVEN MODEL NO - MC 7148MS On 31st oct 2010.Since than it has been repaired thrice but still it is not working. Your executive now and than comes without solving the problem.

                                  Did I have done some wrong by purchasing a reputed brand with this kind of horrible service? I have told the executive to ask for the replacement as all the major component of the oven being replaced with new one. Its Only 40 days I have purchased it, I don’t know what will happen after my warranty expires. Kindly look into the matter ASAP.

                                    This complaint comes with the bitter experience that I had with LG. Having purchased a LG microwave oven last year alongwith other appliances from the same company, now it is not only making me regret the choice but also feel extremely angry with the company.

                                    To cut things short, my oven which is under warranty stopped working 2 months ago. Since then I have lodged at least 50 complaints (both online and telephonic) and have supplied the bill & warranty copies several times. The executives who speak on phone and the service guys who visit to pick the bill copies promised to refund. No respite after 2 long months and struck to a dummy microwave sitting in the kitchen.

                                    My persoanl opinion for LG buyers: BEWARE

                                    Suppose LG Service means "Low Grade Service"
