I purchased my LG television model 65UH750V from Lulu Hyper Market, Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi in July 2016.
I shifted to India in 2017.
I've been using it ever since the day I bought it.
Recently the TV stopped working. The LG service center in my locality was contacted and after technicians visit and examination they confirmed that the Main Board (mother board) is damaged, and it needs to be replaced. I told them to go ahead by getting the part.
Due to Covid, and its related lockdown days in Kerala, I've waited for over two months now. They have now returned to me with the answer that the part is not available.
What am I supposed to do?
Throw this TV away?
This TV is hardly 5 years old. Is this the kind of aftersales support LG is offering ????
This is an LG product. Maybe this particular model is not available in India. But is it my fault that I trusted the brand and bought this model????
When LG is talking so high about its products, its reliability and its after sales support across the globe, where is the value of LG's brand promise ???? Is it all an eyewash to induce the consumers?
I find it very difficult to believe that a brand like LG cannot provide aftersales support to its consumers! I'm confident that LG will have an alternative solution available but I dont think anyone has the interest to do the follow up and get it done., because; Its easier to say " PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE" and close the chapter!
I had a similar experience with my LG washing machine, when LG India said parts are not available any where. But I got the part from LG itself.
