please confirm if it is true or not ,i've recieved an email form Tag that i am a prize winner of

Sir got the same e mail they a demanding 9400 Rs. As processing fee for award money. Is it fake?
I received this email on 14th June 2010, from what i read here apparently this is a scam from 2009

I actually would like to complain against LG India as I did genuinely put a complaint abt a year ago on the LG India site, so obviously they are getting email ids of actual customers of LG India...

Which makes the company responsible for this Scam its their duty & Obligation to put out a Public notice on this...

    Appended below please find formal complaint lodged with Thwe Mobile Store. More than 2 months after purchase, the 5% rebate, amounting to more than Rs 1,000/- has still not been received.

    Your representative has NOT satisfactorily answered my queries:
    1) At the time of purchase I was called thrice on the same day from your store.
    They had a sales deadline to meet.
    I could have bought this phone from anywhere; your store in merely one of many.

    2) At the time of sale, I was offered a 5% rebate.
    After completing the purchase, the staff slowly interjected that the rebate would come to my account "in a few days".

    3) After 15 days, I went back to the store and complained about the non-receipt of the rebate.
    The staff told me about " delays/no feedback from Delhi"

    4)At no point was any definite period mentioned . Today, I received a phonecall saying "our document says 45 days for the rebate".
    This is a deliberate FRAUD: at no time was a 45 day period mentioned to me or shown to me.
    My sales receipt does not show/mention any such period for the rebate.

    I intend forwarding this mail to LG also.
    Of course, future purchases from your store are out of the question, and I shall let my experience be known to my circle also.

      Sir,
      I want to know the mail i got is fake or truth. So often it seems that this type of mails are fraud. Is there any way to know the genuiness about that compani's offers. They want me to pay the courier service of £320 (Rs.25000.00) in advance to facilitate the delivery of prize. Please confirm me the genuiness of the letter. They can deduct courier charges etc from the prize and send the balance amount to me. I am attaching that copy of the mail below. Waiting for reply.

      I have also received the same email from LG that I won 9 hundred thousand GB pounds. Then they told me to contact Dr Dave Stephen from LG. I mailed him then he mailed back giving me the mail id of courier agency. I mailed them too. Today I received a reply from them and they r telling me pay courier, imigration and security charges for parcel containing 42" LCD TV and that draft. The carges are 315 GB pounds which is approximately Rs25000/-
      well I am also feeling that this is all crap, some sort of moneymaking business. Because I am not able to find answers of some of the questions,
      1. I dont remeber that I bought anything from LG recently, then from where they got my mail id ????
      2. I read the serial nos. on the blogs all r same, I also received the same one. How it can be possible ????

        Dear All,

        An LG 1.5 ton split AC was puchased on 25.40.2009 from Viveks & Co (Chennai). In August the AC was not cooling and when I called LG, the technician visited us and told me that there is a Gas Leakage in the AC and refused to do the repair. He only then informed us that the Waranty was sold to the dealer and that LG would never to any service for the products within the Waranty period.
        Now when I called Viveks the dealer, there was no favorable reply from them and they told that the Service can be done only next month in September at the earliest. After a long strugle with the LG customer care I got the number of Mr. Ramaswamy - [protected] the local service manager. Ramaswamy called the Viveks service manager, who then agreed to for the sevice. A week later the dealer (Viveks), they took the AC for 2 weeks and then placed at my residence even without fixing it on the wall for 4 days. Finally after 2 months of trouble, the AC was fixed.

        Once the AC was fixed the gas was leaking again within 2 weeks. Now there is support either from Viveks or from LG and the AC is not working at all !!!

        LG/ split AC 1.5 — No service

        I had purchased an LG 1.5 ton split Ac last month. Two engineers did the installation is a most in efficient way that it could ever be. They have used just the sticking insulation tape to join water leak pipes (Just packing tapes ). Later the pipe started leaking and fell down.

        Now again I had raised a complaint with LG4 days ago, they said that some one will attend the issue within 24 Hrs but till now no one turned up. I called up the customer care again, this time they said that I will receive a call from the engineer within two hours, it has been more than 5 hours now.

        LG - Worst service support i have ever seen. Never go for a LG product again.

        Lg 1.5 Ton Split Ac — Non-Delivery of product not Refund

        I booked 1.5 ton split AC, code LSA5FP5VTY1 in Snehanjali Electronics. He promised to deliver within the week. Its now more than a week now but the salesman - Aftab have not delivered the AC.
        He called me up today morning saying he does not have the said model. I have asked me to return my money. Now he is not giving the money also & delaying things but all reasons of his own. Please help to get my money back. Thank you.

          I had got a LG product which is very defective and nobody is responding to the Request inspite of repeated calling.

          As we were to our home town we were not able to use the microwave oven.On 9/10/2009 i had requested for the demo for my micro wave oven the Request id was C09A0922784.On 11/10/2009 a person name Mr Gaurang Came for the demonstration.During the demonstration there was sparking occuring inside the oven and the person told us that he will be checking it by 12/10/20009 and also took copy of the bill from us ensuring that he will arrange for the replacement of the oven based on the Thorough checkup that was supposed to take place on 12/10/2009.But till 13/10/2009 nobody came for assistance and i again called up the customer service department on 13/10/2009 and the request id was C09A1301368.Till today at the time of writing the mail nobody came for the assitance and looking into the issue occured with microwave.Today i called up Mr Chirag at 1:30 PM at LG Service center,Ahmedabad based on the details given by mr Gaurang and no satisfactory response was given to me and the person told me he will be calling me up in next 10 mins and till now i haven't recieved any call.

          All these incurrences and neglegence from such a reputed brand in India are pursusing me to take a strict legal action and will be representing this issue in Consumer Forum if my issue is not resolved at the earliest as we are again leaving for home town on 16/10/2009 afternoon.This we had already conveyed to Mr Gaurang Regarding the availablity and still there is negligence.

          Please look into this issue and respond at the earliest.

            I went to Mobile Store,Chandni Chowk,Kolkata store on 17th Aug 2009 to buy a Business Phone, when your salesman showed me the New LG ARENA phone which had fabulous features and made me very attracted to it.
            Although my Budget was Rs 15000/- but I went ahead and bought the phone for Rs 22000/-.
            After using the phone I faced many problems and I suffered a lot as it’s the most Pathetic Handset I have ever used, therefore I went to the Store after 2 weeks and asked them if I can exchange it but in reply I was told that I would only get Rs.8000/- against the phone.
            I feel that the Salesperson in your Store should be fully aware of the Drawbacks and Problems of a High Value Product which in this case was not true.
            I was very disappointed so they told me to give it to the service center which I did but after that the problem remained same.
            Now I have escalated the Issue to LG for which they have taken my phone and promised to give me a sealed pack of the same phone, which I will get some time next week.

            I hope that you will be able to help me and take this Sealed Pack back and in return I am ready to take Goods worth the Current Market Price of the Phone.

            Please help me with this regard and let me know in case of any concerns.

              I have purchased a lg refrigerator, 320 litres, lotus red on 6-10-09 from Kohinoor Tele Video, Thane. Since the time it was purchased, only the upper unit, i.e. the freezer is cooling, but the lower portion i.e. the area where food and raw food are kept, is not cooling, and the food is getting spoiled. After repeated requests, a technician attended to the problem on 10-10-09, but the fault occured again the next day. As it is a new piece bought only a few days ago and was found faulty, I requested the dealer as well as LG,THANE to replace it with a new working one, but it has not been done till date, thus putting my household into difficulties. I have paid the full price of the refrigerator and I am entitled to a new working piece. 6 days have passed and no action has been taken by LG, THANE/My dealer.

                Sir, I have purchased a lcd lg32 on 31 Aug 09 vide bill No 52099 from THE NEXT , palakkad, Kerala vide bill No 52099 dated 31 Aug 09.. I was told that I will get the free dish connection with in two weeks from the date of purchase. Where as all my efforts to get the dish connection even after 45 days did not bring any fruitfull results The TV is kept idle for last 45 days. The performance of the LCTTV is so poor when used with the LG DVD player which was given to me as a free offer.The LG rep siad that the dish connection will take another 15 days to one month. If this is the case why such a reknowned company is bluffing the customers. Pl do the need full to provide the dish connection at the earliest.                   I have lodged a compaint on 8th October 2009 (compaint no. C09A0801793) at 9.00 a.m. I was informed by the call centre that the problems would be resolved within 2 hours. A reminder was again made at 1.00 p.m. on the same day but nobody called up nor any technician turned up for fixing the problem.

                  A reminder has been made today on the call centre no. and on Tel. no65790731 and an online complaint is made on LG website (complaint no.[protected] and I have been told that the problem would be fixed in a day.

                  We are totally un-happy with the call centre service and the commitment are never adhered to, if the resolution is not provided by 1 noon I would take this issue with the Consumer grievance.

                      Sir i too face the same problem..i purchase a 1ton split Ac to my residence in mangalore.. within a few days of insulation i had problem in compressor during run at night time making a huge raise in run when the AC has already achieved the required temperature and also skipping of temperature while using remote..regarding this i had already complaint to your service team in mangalore..they just replied saying that everything is fine...later my entire remote control just got suck-up..and now they removed the entire remote unit..but still no respond... its hardly 20 days till dated...I feel you just that you just CHEAT the customer and latter you never turn back...since am a assistant general manager (Technical) of one of the hospital thought of giving around 550 Ton capacity AC work to you(LG) ...but after facing personally this type of problem..i will never ever think of LG to Give an order because of POOR SERVICE & CHEATING THE EXISTING CUSTOMER.
                      I just wanted to know if such problem is there y the hell you people u wont replace the system entire..if within 24 hours if am not getting a new Ac i will go to consumer court saying that u pepole just cheat the customer ..and not a service provider //////......you people are parasites just suck the cotomer amount and nothing else.

                          This is in regard of a refrigerator bought by myself on 17th June 2009 model number GL-211 NM4, it was purchased from Balaji Electronics, Plot No.2, Indira Colony, Pani Pench, Jhotwara Road, Jaipur-302016.

                          Very disappointingly I have to tell you that the product has not given me even a basic satisfaction. It had complaints from the day 1. Initially the chiller tray was broken, door was not properly shutting and fridge was not making ice. Chiller tray was replaced by your dealer in Jaipur after 1 week, and for the ice problem thermostat was changed after 12 days. The third problem that the door is not properly touching the body and hence it gives space for cool air to come out is not rectified even after more then 3 months and a several complaints have been put by myself at your call center[protected].                             I have LCD TV (26" X Canvas) and is not working since last one month. I had subsequently called customer services and launched my complaint with same issue. This complaint was registered and no. is W9C90708244.

                            This complaint is pending from last one month and I have not received any call or positive answer from LG team. I have been calling LG services twice a day frequency and non one is bothered about complaint and only providing fake assurance.

                            In initial follow up one engineer from LG team visited my house and surprisingly "well trained engineer" (???) could not locate problem and went off without any action taken.(?) After this incidence I contacted manager in customer services and I found it terrible to get question again about my nature of complaint...(???)

                            THIS IS WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED FROM LG AND I WILL REMEMBER THIS ALL HAPPENED TO ME WHILE RECOMMENDING SOME ONE TO GO FOR LG PRODUCT.

                            This is to register my complaint regarding the lcd which i had purchased from sumaria electronics at charni rd mumbai dated 1-4-2009 model 32lg53fr invoice Cr/apr09/0016 the service request C10A2036370 there is a blue line appearing on the screen on showing the lg Guy he says that the display has gone and the display can go anytime the cost of the repair of new display will be around 12000/- and it will be under one month gaurantee of the repair i really dont understand that lg been such a reputed name has such defects in thier lcd that they get spoilt after a year been so expensive thier after sale service is so bad and defects in it appear so soon while brands like onida samsung panasonic sony are much better in quality and service the lcd is working at the moment but can go off anytime i am highly disappointed with your product and want you to help me in any way as giving 12000/- for the panel is too high and lcd getting spoilt within a year is highly not tolerated i want you to take my complaint seroiusly and get my lcd repaired.

                            THIS IS A WORST PRODUCT AND BRAND AND I WILL ALSO RECOOMEND ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS NOT TO GO FOR IT.

                                sir, I lodged a complaint on my washing for its malfunction of its features, on 22sep 09 with LG service vide complaint id C[protected]. After waiting for two good days, service engr visited and diagnosed machine needing certain spares, which engr would ask/place order as not readily available, well happier part being I could continue to use the machine till then. unfortunately as engr departed the machine refused to work. many reminders including talking to LG bosses I am yet to see Engr or any positive response from LG . it is now over 15 days and I am yet to see response

                                Yes... LG service is worst. I have same experience. Sone one thing while taking AMC and do something afterwards.

                                  i have lg gm200. my outgoing voice not going clear..service centre are not solve this problem..they say its not problem its network problem..i have facing this problem last 1 month..so please dont buy LG Gm200.

                                      I purchased a LG Washing machine for my aged parents Senior citizens over 75 yrs of age from Vijay Sales -Mumbai last year on16th of Oct 08.
                                      The Spin drying stopped working on 22 nd of Aug 09 and complaint was lodged -WIC 82200872
                                      The complaint was attended after continues reminder calls only on 2nd Sept 09. (new complaint no WIC 83506042 was given )
                                      One Mr.Zafar -Service technician of LG attended the complaint and said Hanging rods needs to be replaced and it will take 2 days to get the spares.
                                      Then on 4th Sept Zafar returned with a set of rods for replacement and fitted the same and took signature of my father for job completition without checking the full machine for sometime under operation.
                                      The very day on use of machine the spin drying operation was found to be not working .
                                      Another call was made to the Customer Care center and they gave complaint WIC 90600783 and call was attended on 7th Sept 09 after repeated reminders.
                                      Mr.Abdul Sattar -another Service Technician was send who had to be explained all the problems and case history . He said the Gear box needs replacement and dismantled the machine pipes etc and said will be back next day with the gear box.
                                      There was no news from anyone for 3 days and my father made another complaint to the cell -WIC 91105148.Then Abdul Sattar came and replaced the gear box but did not take any signature on job completion on the Job Card .
                                      On the 16th Sept 09 Mr.Sanjay Pawar -another Service engineer attended the call and studied the machine for 2 hours and reported that the Control panel and the motor needs to be replaced and the same will be arranged by him in two days. He also said if after replacing these it does not work then machine will be replaced and left. No signature was taken on the Job Card on the status of the complaint from my father again.

                                      After that my father had to make a call every two days to Sanjay Pawar enquiring about the spares and he would reply it has been ordered and awaited. He reffered him to call up Mr.Ram Upadhaya a Senior service Engineer and speak on the complaint. Ram informed my father the spare will come in two days time and till the 30th of Sept nothing had happened .

                                      Finally my father gave up and informed me on his frustration with the service rendered by the LG Customer care cell .
                                      I wrote a mail on 30th Sept to the LG Service cell at Noida on the complaint giving the details anfd they reverted saying complaint reffered to the branch office in Mumbai (on the 3rd Oct 09).

                                      I also called up Mr.Swapnil -Service Manager at the Service center as per information given by the telephone operator and spoke to him on 30th Sept 09. He said will immedtely attend to the complaint and gave me Mr.Murli- Service engineer- contact no who would visit on the same day.

                                      No Service Engineer reported and next day I again called Swapnil and he said two parts are awaited and on 2nd Oct they will 100 percent resolve the complaint.
                                      No one called on 2nd Oct as well and I spoke to Swapnil on saturday 3rd Oct 09 and he apologised and said the part has been arranged from Bhiwandi and will be arriving soon and Technician will be send by evening.

                                      Nothing happened till sunday noon when I personall went to the LG Service center at Sakinaka and asked for Swapnil . Security said please wait and checked with him inside the showroom and returned and said please wait he will come in two minutes.

                                      Instead Ram Upadhaya comes and meets me saying the part has just come in and he will send the Technician along with us to repair the machine now.

                                      I insisted on having a replacement machine instead on doing all these trails specially since in another weeks time the waranty would be over and there was no use if this fails again.
                                      I asked for Swapnil and Ram went inside the showroom and returned in few minutes saying Swapnil has left . ( which was a clear lie as Security had confirmed he was inside ).
                                      I then spoke to Swapnil on his mobile no and told him this was unexpected from Service personnel specially from companies like LG .I also told him I had made this mistake of trusting the brand and purchased a LG TV and also LG FRIDGE for my parents in the last one year .
                                      He and Ram assured me that if the part replaced this evening fails a replacement washing machine will be given. Ram also recommended to have AMC with LG Service center which costs only 1250 Rs which we could take to get service in the coming months.
                                      We waited till 8 pm in the evening to get the parts and two Technicians came in seperately .One Mr.Sudhir Gupta who arrived earlier had no clue of the complaint and asked me for the nature of complaint and what was the issue while the parts were being send seperately thru another person.

                                      Finally the parts arrive and Sudhir checks the same and says the Control panel is not matching and Motor does not need replacement.

                                      We are totally frustrated and irritated with the LG Service Engineers and complaint cell.

                                      We now want a refund of the money spend on the machine as we have lost trust in the brand and its service capabilities.

                                      Please help me find a solution to my complaint .

                                        I hv purchased abovr products just one and half year back & have used t hardly twice or thrice. One day its power was not coming ...I went to Service station & they said that its Transformer needs to be changed as it has been damaged due to power fluctuation....but if might be the case then also other electronic applances at my home would have face such problem ....then too i told them to chnage it % they gave me estimate of Rs.600 appx.....after 2-3 days when i went to pick it up ...they said its mother board needs to be changed which would cost around 2000 Rs + service charge...???? Is this international brand cheating its customers by using lower quality parts & its service station by internally changing internal parts during servicing.....
