        I am getting average bill (185 units) for 4 months where it says "INACCESSIBLE" as reading. I've lodged complaints twice about meter fault and one about high bill. There has been no update from their side or work done on that. The billing dispute number that they have provided on bill is wrong. I am paying almost 3 times my regular bill. I've exhausted all the options. Please help.

                Sir, I wanted to complaint about something very serious and critical, this complaint was against the the staff of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution company limited. He actually misbehaved and passed racial comment on my ethnic and region. I had even registered a complaint through ''Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution company limited'' customer care (Complaint No.[protected] however no action has been taken in this regards so far. A person from the company namely 'Ajit' came to my house today on Christmas (Public Holiday) and started ringing the bell of my house fiercely. I had several guest in my house who was very afraid frightened from the approach of Ajit. When I opened the door, I saw this person yelling on me and asking me whether I have payed my electricity bill in front of my guest.. it was very shameful and disgusting for me to face this person in front of the guest. However I told him that I have already payed my bill yesterday through online, but it seems he had made up his mind and started asking again twice, thrice loudly in front of whole building and my guest... I explained him that I have already payed but he was not ready to understand and was insulting me in front of my guest. Then when I begged in font of him to please leave from my door.. he started telling that these U.P people come here from there and do not pay the bill etc etc, he started givig racial commebt... actually he was having a problem with my SURNAME and my native place.. Sir, I humbly request you to take strict action against this person and make him understand that this is INDIA and everyone can stay here without fear. When I had already payed my bill on time and I always do so still I had to face this very bad and nasty experience just because I am from U.P. You can reach me on my cell.                   Dear Sir, My name is Premchand Sahu and I reside at B706, Sai Kashish Park, Rajwade Nagar, Paramvir Colony, Kalewadi, Pune -411017. I bought above mentioned flat on December-2014 from Karan Construction and I got possession of the said flat February-2015. Initially for couple of months I was not getting Electricity bills from MSEDCL. I thought that this could be due to new flat and after that enquired to nearby MSEDCL office then they told me that now I will be getting bills. I got my first bill in the month of August-2015 for amount around 37000. I raised complaint from MSEDCL online site and in next month it was around 32000. Even this amount was out of limit as I thought that my average bill should be around 700-800 per month and for 6-7 month(i.e. Feb to Aug) it shouldn’t be more than Rs 5000. Initially I was told by A.E. Mr Gowda to pay 5000 against my Rs 32000 bill and assured me that he will investigate further. I paid Rs 5000 against my bill and in next 10-15 days he told be that meter testing report is correct and told be that my builder might have consumed electricity. My builder is telling that he has not received bill during his period how can he pay. Since August-2015, MSEDCL people have taken out my meter twice and once disconnected my electricity. I have paid to MSEDCL Rs 20000 till date as below even my issue is not resolved: Date Payment Mode Amount 22-Aug-2015 Cash Deposited 5000/- 06-Oct-2015 Paid by Cheque 10000/- 23-Dec-2015 Online from Portal 5000/- Till now I paid amount more than what I have consumed till now assuming that my case will be settled and excess paid amount will be adjusted later. But MSEDCL people are always taking my meter and insisting me to pay whole amount without informing me. You may verify my recent consumption for last 3 months is around 140 units per month and for this much unit I don’t think I should pay more that 800rs per month. Assuming this calculation my bill should not be more than 8000Rs till month of November. I have paid more than what I have consumed till even then they are taking out my meter and harassing me. I have to always run to MSEDCL office to settle my electricity issues which also affects my office. I think this issue is raised due to fault of MSEDCL due to below reasons They haven’t issued bill to builder (Karan Construction) since connection for above mentioned electricity meter is taken(i.e. Sep-2011) and after selling of flat they initiated bill for said flat so that Builder will not have to pay amount whatever they have consumed. I can see here there might be some setting between some MSEDCL personnel and builder otherwise it is not possible. All 42 meters are placed in same place when Meter reader is taking reading & snap of 41 meters then why reading person can’t take reading for 42nd meter and why it can’t be processed as bill further. Slab for my 7th floor was done in the year 2014 and I took possession of my flat in February-2015. I am just surprised that on what basis all 42 meters(may be more) 4-5 years back. Was it done intentionally to provide benefit to builder so that they use domestic meter for commercial purposes? You may see that in both cases some MSEDCL personnel are providing additional benefits to builder and giving them privilege to use domestic meters for commercial purposes. I am not sure how many people are like me who are suffering due to this bad MSEDCL practice. I have also raised this complaint from MSEDCL online portal but without satisfactory resolution my complain was closed. Currently MSEDCL have taken out my meter without informing me and telling me to pay whole amount. Please look into this issue on priority and instruct them to put my meter in place so that I can get electricity in my flat. I am facing Electricity disconnection in my flat frequently even after paying more than what I have consumed. Please settle my whole amount paid till yet and make sure from next month I am not falling in this mess so that I get regular bills which I will always pay on time.                       My bill for december 2015 is inflated. My consumer no is[protected]. Billing unit 4728, msedcl. Units utilised from 1/12/15 to 18/1/2015 are 64. Average less than 4 per unit. My previous electricity consumption is as under : consumption in units : meter no. [protected] jan 15 : 94, feb 91, mar 115, april 122, may 161, jun 149, jul 108, aug 140, sept 126, oct 147, nov 138 where as december 2015 is 254 units. No change in use of appliances used from 1975 onwards. Please rectify the bill and adjust in the bill of jan 2016 as i have paid bill of dec 2016 on 16/12/2015. Consumer Name: RAJARSHI MANDAL Address: FLAT NO-D/1401 PLOT NO-46, 47, 55 SECT-11, 400614 This is to bring to your notice unethical and bad practices followed by Electricity office members of CDB Belapur Sector 11. This has become a regular practice in CBD Belapur area Sector 11 that some indiscriminate workers(who refuses to disclose names) from Maharashtra State Electricity boards visit every building and disconnects electricity lines without any permission or notice or any logic. Most often they hound the consumers for no reason. Unfortunately, I have been the sufferer of this ill practice not once but thrice in this year. Tonight (December[protected] my wife came back from office to discover that our electricity line of our flat 1401has been disconnected. Currently I am in US and have no clue of whom to reach out to. We paid our electricity bill of last month online. This month there was a delay but it’s hard to understand why would you disconnect electricity line without our permission (when you are legally bound to.) Please do not think all consumers are illiterate fools and do not have any idea of rights and legalities. This is to keep to your notice that under Electricity Consumer right section Consumers have a right To receive minimum fifteen clear days’ notice in writing before disconnection under default of payment under section 56 of the Act. 1) No Notice was sent to us (the consumer) before disconnection. 2) The Bill generated for the month (attached to the email) says due date for the month is 11-December-2015. Even if electricity board decides to send me a notice (which they have not as yet ) on 11 December, 15 days from 11 December is 26-December-2015. Under no logic can someone come and disconnect the electricity of our house. 3) I would like to take this matter to the consumer forum if a strict action is not taken against the electricity mafias in our area. 4) An apology from the Electricity Board would be helpful. 5) Also please let me know the contact number of the Manager of CBD Belapur division who takes the call of disconnection. So that in future I can contact him directly without disturbing others. As I mentioned earlier, this is not the first but third instance. My electricity line was disconnected some 5-6 months ago even when we paid everything on time. My wife had to go all the way to Vashi to get the connection back when she showed the receipt of payment. Please understand that we are working couples. It is not our duty to inform the random bill collectors in CBD Belapur that we have paid online. Lastly, I do not have any personal vendetta on the Electricity Board, I think you guys are doing good job in providing us continuous electricity without regular power cuts. However I think I should bring to your notice the illegal practices which can potentially lead the department into black water. Please let me know if I am wrong in my complain. We need to solve the problem together. Your reply and support will be much appreciated.

                                Subject:- Wrong billing done by your office-Consumer No[protected] Respected Sir, I wish to inform you that On 23rd September 2015 new electric meter was installed by your office as the earlier meter was faulty. I was expecting the electricity bill as per the new reading of new meter, However for last two months your office is sending the bill as per old stating the meter is faulty. The photo taken by your office clearly shows the meter is new and the meter reading is 11. I have paid the bill for sept 15 and October as per your bill. However your office is continuously send the bill as per Faulty Meter. I am requesting you to look into this matter and charge the bill and adjust the balance money in the coming bills.

                                  Please note Transformer is located in our society gate..its always sparking the light ..people may die due to this issue..its caused frequently accident on gate..Last month one person got and accident ..i was in ICU bcz of this transformer. Now day before yesterday also one of our society member got and accident.

                                  We have already advise ed our builder to shift ..but tells us we require permission from...

                                  Consumer no:[protected] Name: PK Mathai Billing unit: 4593/ Dapodi Sub Division I wanted to complain about the excess units that is currently being captured in my bill for the last 5 to 6 months. I have observed this trend- an increase in the number o[censored]ntis consumed which is quite surprising as i have not installed any AC or electronic appliance that consumes high wattage. When I contacted through your Toll free number I got the information that my payment for the month November 2015 is received by MSEB and they have given the receipt no as[protected].But the payment history still shows the payment for Nov 2015 as due. Please check and do the correction at the earliest.
