My normal bill is rs 1700. I have paid april and may bills as per the average reading. Now in june the bill is rs 9010.
This is sheer robbery
The government has to step in to rectify this issue especially in these troubled situations

    We are the l. T. Consumer mrs. Sadhana ramchandra gorhe having consumer no.[protected] of billing unit no.4160 always face the problem for high electricity bill now the current bill is of rs.1150/-

    My another bill for lt consumer mr. Ramchandra vishwanath gorhe having consumer no.[protected] billing unit -4636 always face high electricity power bill, now the current bill is rs.3350/-

    So please look into it as we are regular prompt payment non defaulter customer need not to suffer a lot for such excess charges calculation method

      For last 3 months, mseb did not take any meter reading and kept on sending me online bill considering some 155 units every months.
      This is understandable as they could not visit the building for meter reading due to lock down.

      I kept on paying bill every month.
      Now they have applied total 800 units and overcharged me for past 3 months together.

      They should have deducted 155 * 3 units from the bill amount.

      Are there any other users facing similar issue? I am in pimpri chichwad pune area.

        I got a bill of 19.5k for the month of june-20. On an average my electricity bill during summer season ranges in 4.5k to 5k. I have a complaint against msedcl for unjustified bill amount.
        The problem with the msedcl electricity calculation is that the consumer bill was averaged-out in april-20, may-20 and anything in-excess was adjusted in june. Because of this the number o[censored]nits increased exponentially (Not becasue of actual units consumption in june month). As number o[censored]nits consumed increase, you move to higher slabs. Averaging bill has benefitted msedc; but left consumer in pain. The calculation would have been logical, if the per unit charge had been uniform; which is not the case. Logically speaking, the calculation should have been prorated for 3 months to calculate june bill amount.
        This is sheer malpractice and exploitation of common man and msedcl should be penalised for this.

            I have been charged a bill amounting to rs. 4460 for june 2020 which is much higher than previous bills. My bill for this month is 3 times the usual bill that i pay every month. I have not bought any new electronic appliance nor myconsumption has been changed like previous months. Bill for apr and may bill has been paid and we have receipt of them

              Hi team

              I am alok sahu resident of pune, undri. My consumer no is[protected], got 4 time overcharged bill. On monthly basis my average bill amount around[protected] and bill unit is around 130. I also paid the bill in the month of april, may and june. This time my unit jumped to 1000+, they calculated the unit from march till june month without deducting the bill amount which paid in the month of march, april and may.
              Ther are doing cheating with us and making fraud on our hard earned money. This time, i got 8200 rs as bill which is completely unfair and frustrating. Please do the needful and take some action against this.

                  Before lockdown i am getting bill amount is normal 10-15 unit. But after lock down i gotted high unit 85. I disappointed with your services. Without using getting high bills. We are not living there. Door is closed. I spoken with your customer service. Miss shakshi. She is not providing proper resolution. Just saying reading showing same. More information visit office. I paid my previous bills. But now without using getting high bills. Please check my previous bills and units jan, feb, mar. Now check current month bill amount. How you are generating bills.

                      I have been charged a bill amounting to rs. 2100 which is much higher then previous bills. I registered the complaint through online site and from mobile app and got closed as resolved. The reason behind same has not been informed to me and complaints are closed which is absolutely non sense.
                      Try to call customer care number it's coming busy, if get connected no one answer the call.
                      My monthly bill units ranges from 120 to 150, but this month it's showing 381 units. I don't have ac or any electronic equipment which consumes more power.
                      Request you to look into the issue and get generate correct bill amount.

                        Dear sir, my consumer number is[protected] from last december 2019 my house has not been used (Closed). It is locked so there is no cosumtation of any electricity till the date. Still i had all the electricity bills during this time till april 2020. But in the month of april, may & jun it was wrongly issued. Take the meter reading (Meter is out side house). I request you please check & update the meter bill as a normal amout for the locked house. As a regular & prompt customer of msedcl customer i expect quick action as per request.

                          There is no proper communication before they cut the power and they cut the power for 7-8 without prior intimation

                          In todays world where people should get the basic needs these people act carelessly and just provide false promise

                          They are trying to give power to villages but the fact is they cant even provide properly to big cities itself

                          Wprst service ever but no doubt its goverment service which by default will be worse

                          From morning there is frequent power cuts fpr 7-8 hrs

                                Sub: regarding high bill (10 times more than usual) due to faulty meter requires urgent repair or replacement

                                Dear sir,

                                My bill for the month of june is showing 23000 approx which is very high bill that is 10 times of our normal bill. The bill appears to be unreasonably inflated as i know for certain that our consumption of electricity is not so high as to warrant such a high bill. We have been staying in this house since 1.5 years and usually get a bill between[protected] max not above that in any month. I fail to understand the bill of rs 23000 which is absurd and not possible at all.
                                All previous bills in the last 1.5 years were below or equal to 3000 never above that.

                                Following is the amount paid for the last 6 months.
                                1. June - 2110
                                2. May - 1740
                                3. April - 3410
                                4. March - 1560
                                5. Feb - 1480
                                6. Jan - 1850

                                What could have warranted for such a high bill and high unit consumption for the month of june that the bill amount jumps from average of rs.[protected] to rs. 23000+.

                                Furthermore, as per your readings, our average for past two months is 211 units as per the data shown on your site. You have taken the reading on 15th june which was 2252 and i took the reading on 23rd june which is 2474. This implies that i am using 222 units for the period of 8 days, which is more than the average billing units? There’s something wrong with the meter. How can i consume 222 in 8 days when my average for 30 days is 211? The meter is shooting high every passing hour, so it is very very urgent. Unless it is resolved we are not going to pay this bill so kindly resolve this matter at the earliest.

                                I request you to please look in this matter seriously and urgently and send your person to check our meter and replace the faulty meter. Please inform us the reason why am i getting so much excess bill and when are you going to send your person to check our meter. I appreciate if this matter o[censored]nfair excess billing is resolved at the earliest.

                                Waiting for your immediate action as the bill is too high and the units are increasing every hour.

                                  I have been continuously writing emails to my electricity department complaining about power cut from almost last 3 months.
                                  Also from last two months there is a sudden spike in my electricity bill which is more than 2000 attached screenshot for your reference.
                                  I haven't received any response from the team yet. I have tried all the medium to connect with them to get support however there is no response from them.
                                  We do not have any heavy appliances also there wasn't any meter reading done as well.
                                  I am not sure how do i go about this. Due to irrational power cut i had to get solar system installed but these high electricity bills are really a big problem for me.

                                  We hardly have any heavy appliances still being over charged every month it's really very disappointing no one is coming to do a meter reading as well can't even check meter reading through their app.

                                      I reside in 1 bhk flat at sanpada sector-24, my previous bills have never ever exceeded 1200₹ to1500₹ monthly
                                      I am in complete shock to receive the latest bill on 20th june 2020 amounting to around 10000₹.
                                      I really don't understand what kind of meter reading has been been done. Its completely faulty and i can't afford to pay 10000₹ as electricity bill where i am paying 20000 rent.
